Yeah tho i reported that killer for late DC and wrote same thing as you but short version. I was trying to get rick grimes adept and killer DC right when we about to escape, Rick perks are awful, there is no use in them as an adept. Its like playing him with no perks equipped...

Does report system even works? I never saw response someone got punished even if I opened ticket

Chase doesn't proc after a fog veil is used for the rest of the match and Pigs uses that bug to prevent survivors traps from stopping when being chased

Does it work both sides? Like Pig has to be in disadvantage too since it can't get bloodlust… Based on whole discussion, I agree with Langweilig, you could do same strat before vials

  • Can you please explain the bug? I didn't noticed anything different from regular game before patch

  • I think it depends on when BHVR checks every killer winrate and how actually it affects gameplay. I would give it, unless it's a major issue, two weeks or something. But it's only guessing. I doubt anyone actually knows and Clown needed buff, so in one way or another it will be buffed

    it's attention seeking popularisation

This phrase literally means nothing. Do you just mean attention seeking? If so, is all criticism attention seeking? If you have an issue or complaint, are you supposed to just grit your teeth and bear it, and say thank you when minimal effort is given to a product you paid for? These are the forums designed for players to give their feedback. Is it attention seeking to want a criticism to be seen because the service provided to you has been subpar on said forums? No. They have a word for that too, it's called visibility.

If you quit then you quit. Everything else is demagogy

It's not banned. You can play it any time you want. You aren't allowed to stream it as it contains violence and sensitive content

Have you not seen the giant pole on the offering menu? Or how about the game crashing and asking to send a bug report every time I attempt to close the game? Just because OP was using the wrong internet connection doesn't mean the game is stable across the board.

And that's besides the point. The "this isn't an airport" comment was completely unnecessary and was a vain attempt at getting some "free updoots." That part could have been left out, leaving only the question of the internet connection, and this thread would have been equally as productive.

On other hand, it's attention seeking popularisation. Should we all write how are we "done" about things we don't like? This topic overall is nothing more than attention seeking post. If you leave - then do it. No need to cry about it loud.

  • I think people forgot simple truth - It's just a game. If you don't have fun, move to something else. Don't torture yourself and others

  • I played on it and It's terrible. I don't use any shader shenanigans or any other exploits to get advantage and from killer side it's really difficult to see anything 15m away. It's feels like I'm pixel hunting.

It's my first map I instantly thought how unfair it is in comparison to those who use shaders.

You're misunderstanding the issue. The criticism isn’t just emotional, it’s based on repeatable, observable outcomes. Bugs and performance issues are reported with evidence during the PTB and still go live untouched. That’s not 'emotion-based feedback', that’s a clear failure in the feedback loop. Also, dismissing all balance feedback as 'emotional' is lazy. Players give specific examples of over/underperformance, gameplay flow disruption, and compare across killer kits, just like you did with your comparison to Wesker and Blight. You’re doing the same thing you claim to dismiss .Clown’s design being W-key reliant is the exact kind of feedback people want changed, not because it’s 'emotional', but because it leads to shallow, repetitive gameplay that doesn’t reward skill. That’s a design flaw, not a tantrum. If anything, pretending community feedback has no value unless it has spreadsheets is more damaging than people being frustrated with bugs

I think you misunderstood me. I'm not saying all feedback is over emotional and dismissed, but even as simple user you can see a lot of it comes from "ahhh killers got stronger - nerf" and "ahhh, survivors got tuning - nerf". It's like children fighting over blanket and mothers attention.

For example Vial. I was online on forum when patch came out. People were literally downloading it while some already posted how broken it is, or frustrating or annoying or 100500 other issues. People were downloading patch while someone already hates it. How's that a proper feedback. 0 min in game but already writes feedback?

Okay, Clown was buffed. Is he is Op? I don't know. On some maps yes, on some maps no. Depends on multiple circumstances. Once devs find out it's winrate scyrocket, they will nerf it. But if winrate barely changes, then there's nothing Op. Give it time to gather data.

  • Long answer short - Scroll down this forum, or reread your own argument. It's very emotional and almost no data put in. Vast majority of feedback is based on emotions. I'm honestly surprised why such feedback is even allowed, but I guess ignore is better than ban. Emotions (balance wise) are waste of time and most often are completely biased to side person supports.

Yes it feels a bit stupidly overtuned as all Clown needs it to challenge survivor into competition who holds W better which is bad design, but it still possible to loop it. And in comparison to Kaneki/Vesker/Nurse/Spirit/Oni/Blight speed and ability to down survivors, Clown is still slowpoke.

on Coldwind? Nah. That only really happens when the killer doesn’t know how to play tiles properly or fails to break pallets early. Once those are gone, that map falls apart fast – there’s barely anything to link the strong spots, and it turns into a dead zone real quick.
I get the frustration, sure. But unless you're facing a cracked SWF with coordinated bodyblocks and tight rotations, Coldwind usually ends in a fast and clean 4K.
Wouldn’t hurt to throw in a couple filler structures between tiles though – just so survivors don’t get completely screwed once the early resources are gone.

(so y, I’m fine with adding a bit more there (coldwin, haddonfield, borgo) – but please, for the love of god, take some away on other maps while you’re at it)

Map is already way too small. If you put something in-between, it will quickly turn very survivor sided. If something, first make map bigger.

  • @kaneyboy said:

me and my two friends play nearly every evening, we have done for a couple of years. And it’s gotten to a point where it just feels like killers are getting everything. Maps like cold wind having less than 8 pallets on, clown being able to run 27% faster in this new patch. The fact every game last night the killer was 70-500 ping resulting in awful game health where hits shouldn’t be hitting, it also often feels like MMR doesn’t even exist in EU lobbies. The game just feels miserable r/n… and I used to love this game.

First of all, game has nothing to do with players connection or ping. If you have player with VPN or playing with you from different part of the world or with bad connection, there's nothing people can do about it.

Cold wind… Man, loopers can destroy killers life looping around shack, tree or house.

Only moment I can agree is clown became overtuned. It's like racing car holding W

  • Feel ya. You aren't only one who noticed it, and sad part there's no option to mute sounds in main menu.

  • Almost always x1.5 on killer. It's like everything changed upside down. Before patch it was x1.5 on survivors

Sure, I could show stats—but pretending stats alone disprove balance issues is shallow. A 70% kill rate over 100 games with Plague doesn’t mean killers are fine; it means you played well with a killer that has built-in slowdown. What you’re ignoring is that balance problems don’t disappear just because high-skill or meta builds can overcome them. If the killer role requires top-tier macro, gen regression, or specific killers just to stay afloat against solo queue—let alone SWF—that’s not healthy balance.

Tha'ts the problem. Which killers? Killer on S tier are fine. I doubt anyone will complain about Nurse or Blight being weak. If you play lower tier, yes, it's a problem. But you yourself described your problem here. Guy looped you and you as killer didn't managed to come back from it. It's not overall general killer problem.

I have a lot of things to complain about my Plague too, but this game is bugged to the core. Fix bugs first. You can't even imagine how I'm tired from unregistered hits while survivor get hit and nothing happens or how my puke disappears mid-air.

SWF is a core problem in this game. I doubt anyone will even argue about it.

UPD: Wow! Guy, who downvoted me can read 1000 symbols in 3 sec. I'm impressed. Just i pressed Enter to post and immediate down vote. Bravo!

might try again in a few chapters but honestly im just holding out for a new game like this one

i want to try suv but everytime i click it i get "failed to create party"

You just literally wrote yourself where's the problem. Survivor loops you in circles and you follow him like obsessed. The moment you see survivor is looping you, change your focus. Because 3 other people are stick to gen and have free time.

Also please show us killer you play.

If you allow me give you few advices, one would be dependant on your killer choice, is set up your advantage (In case you play Trapped, Hag or Plague) then quickly find survivors and find out who's good at game and who's weaker. To outplay really good player, force him to risk his life unhooking or protecting teams weakling. If you start your game stubbornly following looper, it's most likely dead end.

Personally I haven't felt bothered at all playing killer against them, I can still see the survivor pretty fine inside the fog. And as a survivor, I haven't felt any real value in using it either. I assume most will revert back to other items once the novelty wears off.

Same. It's good for jokes and memes, but overall whatever.

  • @Readyplayerone said:

Honestly, I think this patch went in the wrong direction. It feels like the developers are continuing to cater more to the survivor community while leaving the killer role increasingly thankless. Survivors just got a wave of tools to stealth, reset, and extend games, while killer 'buffs' are mostly minor quality-of-life changes that don’t shift the power balance.

Perks like Fog Vial, Come and Get Me! and Throw Down all promote more drawn-out chases and rescues, making it harder for killers to maintain pressure—especially in solo play. Add to that map designs that already favor survivors and a matchmaking system that doesn't account for SWFs. It speaks for itself.

Can you show your stats please? I honestly think major issue here comes from "feelings" part ignoring evidence.

For example, I also would like to avoid SwF if I was able, as I don't run meta killers. And sometimes I think I'm bad here and there. But once I checked my stats for last month, I had exactly 100 games with killrate around 70% which is not bad at all, and hardly anyone can tell - Oh my, Plague is S tier. She's average at best.

If we check killers with thousands hours, they easily have XX or XXX kill streaks that only proves killers are in okayish position with only exception diehard swf marine squad.

We realy dont get why people keep saying "pointless". If you hate whatever maps are on rotation you can make it so theres a 1/5 chance that its a different realm. Because at some point you have it so much, it's millions BP eating dust on your shelf. I would gladly convert them into something else

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you're trying to say.

T9 kills me. I'm trying to tell, Fog is maybe bit stronger against some killers, but it's not so broken as some claim. In comparison, I better face fog players than gen rush players

  • You don't need sound so much if you see survivor. Fog only limits your view, but you still can see survivor. Perk like Crows works too. If survivor passes Crow, you see it, if you hit survivor with whatever you have, it also screams… Game hides only basic sounds, it doesn't shut the game completely.

  • Currently I like it. Almost instant que times, x1.5 for BP is also tasty

  • As killer, I can confirm it's good as distraction tool, but nothing more than that. I managed to kill every Fog user so far. Yes, it helps, but if player picks Fog… Okay he won himself few more seconds, but on most maps it's not difficult to follow survivor as fog is not that dense and there's are not many options where he could go. Most players are "hold W" survivors afterall or try to outsmart you with double back.

Maybe if activating few fogs same time is bit overtuned, but survivor doesn't see anything too, so it's okayish. It becomes game about who knows map better and moves through fog without hitting a wall.

  • Currently played 6 games as killer and don't see any problem about it. You still can see everything 5-6 meters around and easy follow your target. Also it takes you around 2 sec to pass it. It's a bit distractive and nothing more. Asked my friend, he thinks same way

  • I think OP is biased. People tunnel without care do you have items or not.

I’m agree with need to make solo buffed by info, but

    1. voice chat will never be added to game. While no sfw will get rid of discord
    2. Killer can’t define duo or 3 and one or whole squad. Until first hook at least, so no one prefer to lose pressure at early game and at all on killers.
    3. It's impossible to balance both win conditions and win rate in game with 4 vs 1. Because teamwork will always be the greatest advantage in such way, especially in dbd where info rules. Comp dbd proves it by nerfing half of the perks on survs and allows killers to hard tunnel for the chance of 2k. I don’t want compare pubs with comp, that’s just actuallly shows how unbalanced game can be if u use info by 100% and rng on your side.

This game never will be balanced as 50/50 for survivors. It either will be purely survivor sided as it was at beginning, or it will be more inclined to killers (at least we are past of unhealthy gen kicks meta) That's why 60% killrate was proved as valid by devs themselves. And no, they barely buff killers. Usually they just milking them as cows and nerfing after, until they create monster with high mobility which core power is being able to counter any info advantage by high mobility.

I still up to buff solo with free information tools without perks, because it has potential to show actual picture. But most important is explain messy MMR where somehow sweaty players get along with chill ones

I'm not asking voice call. It would be terrible idea to add in as a lot of people are either too toxic or way unstable with their emotional health. Just by checking after game chat in every game now and then there are people who wish killer all bad things to happen.

My idea is to minimize difference to reveal actual game picture as currently it's like roller coaster, in some games you are mentally prepared to face swf and get baby survivors who beg mercy at 5 gens, and in some games you come to chill out and face 5 gens in 3 minutes…

  • @tes said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3971453#Comment_3971453

    Just to contribute to discussion…

Everyone I think knows, that escape/kill rate considers different

For survivor “win” considerate as escape. No matter how many teammates left with you. This rule is always applied for streaks and widely considerate as it is. Exclusion, maybe, when u play in full stack sfw (and everyone knows it is rare)

For killer win condition for considering as streak is 3 or 4.

But what for killrate and escape rate? Well, it is slightly different, cause for escape rate counts only personal escape, for kill rate 1 of 4 “points” for each survivor.

If we are taking “ideal” escape rate as 50% it basically means u won 5 games out of 10.

As killer? Well… here is example of 60% (that according to night light only few killers consistently achieved on both mmr level) :

    1 out of 4

    3 out of 4

    2 out of 4

    2 out of 4

    3 out of 4

    2 out of 4

    4 out of 4

    4 out of 4

    1 out of 4

    2 out of 4

That’s 60%, but if considering “win condition” defined by bloggers and majority, because we like to refer how many killers able to do huge win streaks it is only 4 wins out of 10. So… win rate like 40%????

Of course, assymetrycal games doesn't mean to one side being overpowered. But the issue of this game is literally 1 vs 4. It’s simply impossible to balance it out. In this game usually either 4 escapes or 4 dying. Win conditions also kind of obscure. Is it really possible to balance escape rate and kill rate for 50/50 if they have completely different conditions for counting by official stats?

It is possible to balance things out. Major misunderstanding between killers and survivors comes from SWF existence. If you cut away Discord or any other voice option away, even best players in the world play less efficient as they lack information voice call gives.

To properly balance it, we need to equalize SoloQ and SWF so gap between them were low as possible. As it is impossible to ban Voice call, survivors need aura perks like Kindred as basekit. But without revealing killers aura. It will lower gap between survivors and then adjust killers as their winrate will become bit lower. But with a thought it's playing 4v1 not 1-1-1-1-1.

I can bet every killer will agree playing vs SWF is much harder and every survivor will agree getting better coordination makes games much easier

    Wesker situation is kinda….interesting.

When released he was deemed as a "perfect" killer. Good on the right hands but has counterplay, the only two complains were "he tunnels easily" and "there are Weskers everywhere".

After years of not being touched he was hard nerfed. His tunneling ability went out with the removal or infection on hook and for some reason they also nerfed his full infection hindered mechanic.

When they fixed the bug where Wesker could grab you when you already vaulted a window it was not only fixed but also made it extremely difficult now to hit when vaulting over windows, much harder than most killers, most of the time you just "bump" on the window and not hit the survivor even when he is still in the animation.

The only thing he got buffed was his CD reduced by 0.5 seconds if i am not mistaken.

So Wesker seems to be far worse than when people called him "the most balanced killer", but now for some reason he is even more hated?

I don't hate it. I don't hate anything in this game. Wesker on my list is same boring as Ghoul. Even watching streamers play it, I don't understand where's the fun or interesting gameplay part. Wesker M2 most survivors in less than 20 sec chase unless it's highly cornered or closed map, or Wesker player fuckes up.

Don't let the haters get you down. If you get flack for saying "git gud" just tell them, "I'm 100% fine waiting 20 mins so I can face exclusively try-hard SWF squads."

I'm being serious. They probably don't understand that's what your opinion is and would back off if they knew you didn't want to attract any new players.

I'm perfectly fine to face people who wants to play game and not cry about how they are frustrated because I managed to use their own mistakes against them. It's PVP afterall. Both sides want to win.

Meanwhile every single "ego" person, no matter how good or bad it is, for some reason never blames themselves for being bad. It's always someone's else fault.

Killer slug - bad, hook you into basement - bad, picked killer not so easy to play around - bad. Why do you even play the game if you hate everything around? Get life, touch some grass. Nowhere is said DBD is place you get 100% winrate or killer/teammat must match your expectations. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

  • As a killer, I can tell you what to do. And what works with me. Either show me you are on quest, like, for example, animation you are picking crystals or something, or trade your "rat" teammate.

From killer side of view, killer very quickly finds out survivors skill level and how good they are, and there's usually "that teammate" who's free to sell you.

For example I had game where Sable and Kate were only players left on 4 gens as I very quickly killed their teammates and leaving both on dead hook. Sable was more of a noob player and Kate was experienced. I really wanted to spare Sable as she gave up while Kate was playing Stealth game waiting for her death. Well, I managed to find Kate and Sable got the hatch.

On another game I had new DND survivor player(don't it's name) and Nea selling everyone while hiding in locker. That player helped me find the "rat" and got hatch for it.

In one game we had "survivor duck dance". It was hilarious and I let everyone go….

  • Doesn't work for me. I had around 30+ games during last few days and it recorded only 2

Just wait when they switch to nurse and blight they can tunnel even better than ghoul can sadly, that wont be funny either and even basekit ds wont stop them.

I bet most Ghouls can't play Nurse or Blight. If you remember Spirit nerf or any other used to be S tier killer, only those who truly want to main it, kept playing it. Abusers moved to next "abuse". If anything, I would say they will move on Wesker. 2nd brain-dead killer after Ghoul

  • Huntress can down all 4 survivors without even chasing them. Springtrap is like an innocent child in comparison

Exactly that. Most of the time it’s the people who say SoloQ is soooo dumb who are actually the reason SoloQ is in the state it’s in

Not tryna be harsh, but y, every time I’m chasing with Plague and someone starts random cleansing, I’m just like, “yikes, why am I even trying?”
I mean, sure, still ez winnable, but most of the time it just gets frustrating :D

SoloQ is dumb because we reached point "git gud" is considered toxic. Survivors don't want to improve

  • Yeah, buff Plague . My lady will be happy. Since looping for her is really challenging

As for other part, escaping is good, but when I see how survivors trading hooks trying to be Marvel heroes it's feels bad and stupid. In this case if game falls apart blame survivors altruism. It has nothing to do with SoloQ, Win condition or Plague

  • Ghoul - it's an easy version of Nurse for those who doesn't want to put much into learning the game.

Wesker - 2nd terrible design killer. Dash into dash without any much effort put in. Another easy killer who doesn't really want to chase survivors. In game against Wesker pray you get enough corners.

Meyers with insta kill offering - What's the point of the game if it ends in 2 minutes?

  • It's 9 years dying and can't die no matter how much "prophets" wish it happen. Also by "magical" reason player count only grows. Maybe before acting smart, you should question yourself "maybe i'm biased about things?".

  • @Chiky said:

the game is dying. In all my years playing dbd, I hadn't had queues so long for so long without events.

BP incentives are basically gone because BHVR is greedy and they dont want people getting BP for some reason ( last bloodmoon event was a clear indication of it), so they reduce all the free BP we coudl get (the reason is obvious, they want the new players who came in thanks to springtrap to get frustrated with how slow progressing in this game is and buy the things with actual money). I havent seen the 100% incentive or more in months....

Then there's the gameplay itself. The game is rotten to the core. Playing survivor is misserable. There's like 1/20 games when the killer doesnt tunnel or slugs, they all run the same 3-4 perks, and it s just horrible overall... And playing killer basically demands you to play the same 3-4 perks everyone else does and tunnel and slug if you want to have any chance to win. It's basically a self-fulfilling prophecy sending the game down in a spiral to unplayability...

The worst thing is that BHVR sees it, knows about it, but they don't care.

Get better, pick other perks to play. And please don't act like you are voice of majority. Game is so "dead" currently there are 60K players on Steam. Add other platforms and it will be over 100K

  • @I_Cant_Loop said:

The explanation for why Ghoul hasn’t been nerfed yet is very simple: selling DLC’s

2nd financial quarter is when? August? I expect it's nerf after that

  • Problem with Ghoul it's a noob stomper killer while being ridiculously easy to play. Ghoul also has bug/feature with vaulting pallet while holding survior frozen, auto aim landing free hit and ability to move across the map faster than Nurse.

I'm honestly not surprised people avoid it.

It's literally way too strong for such low "skill" requirement. No wonder people abuse it. When I play survivor, Kaneki is in my every 3rd game. I can confirm in 2 out of 3 games someone DC's against it

  • Mine works. Only quest left is blind killer. You can filter to find out what you need

  • Don't know about meta. I'm constantly running this build and my average kill rate is 3. You don't need meta to kill

I'm not sure how BHVR will balance plague, but I have a suggestion. Only 4 survivors can be infected with maximum infection at a time. Once the cap of 4 is hit all other infected survivors will not be injured and can cleanse (but it will take slightly longer) and this cleanse will not corrupt the fountain, but also won't contribute to a hypercleanse and force plague into corrupt before she is ready. Once a maximum infected survivor is caged or cleanses the next survivor who was infected hits maximum infection. I think this makes her viable while not making it a free stomp. Although, any match with a nurse is practically a free stomp.

IF you nerf Plague this way, she will be unplayable. I'm as Plague main not even going to play her. Why do I need half-gutted killer if I can pick something else?

  • Plague - Nurse
    Legion - Nurse
    Oni - Legion
Literally anything with Legion and dashes with closed map offering. Enjoy survs suffer.

I'm really curious is it even possible to avoid Meyers get his stalk level with so many people around

  • I don't understand where this even comes from. Bunch on nerds gathered up to play custom games with their own "house rules" which differ from region to region. They don't push anything upon you. Do whatever you want.

If someone is egoing about it, well ######### this person. Who cares….

  • Only way Killer is "hard" to play is because you need to be efficient. You are playing 1v4 and your result is fully upon you. In comparison with survivor, you can't slack and play lazy, they will run away.

On the other hand as survivor you can be carried by team and play like potato.

But since Kaneki and Wesker release, on those two you can faceroll your keyboard and still get kills. I checked few streams and honestly don't understand why those killers even exist. It's so easy to the point it's boring to watch.

  • No. This killer is too much for SoloQ. Literally every time I face it in Soloq, lobby falls off due to lack of coordination. In SWF it feels more interesting as you can properly play around it's abilities. Also on open maps his ability to cover whole map and see everything any time he wants is very difficult to play around
