I swear he felt way more maneuverable to me than usual, but maybe that's because I normally just use the two brown boot add-ons in regular mode. So yeah, it is just the same as the yellow boots. So I agree, his buffs are nothing special but BHVR must think the average Billy player is still good enough to do well in this mode, even with his chainsaw nerfed. I think that's probably true. He doesn't feel too weak to me.

Nurse on the other hand is a difficult Killer to master and Huntress is not an easy Killer to be effective with either (especially on controller). I do think they over did it a little with Huntress, though. She doesn't need 10 hatchets.

Because the average Survivor is so noob. If you encounter a decent 8-man team that decently loops. Billy will feel so weak.

This is just my opinion but, I don't want Billy to be a support Killer (Which I think BHVR meant for this mode). Doing a genuinely good curve and outplaying the Survivor should feel rewarding.

Hey it sucks, but I'd rather people have the opportunity to play the game around the world than never have a game vs someone with high ping you know.

Hey don't look at me, Look at those people on that thread lol.

I am a SEA Region Killer Main. at SEA we got the Koreans, Chinese, Thai, Malaysians and Indonesians which are obsessed at trying hard and playing the best they can.

I tried to play at other regions as well last year when I still had my VPN Subscription.

The nicest and most chill region was NA, I 4Ked a lot of my matches there and had Streamers enjoyed my gameplay (was a Blight Main that doesn't camp and tunnel and knows a lot of the tech)

then I tried EU, people were more serious and tryhard there but still got a lot of 3Ks and 4Ks.

then is Japan, my god, I don't what's happening there but god-damn. I felt like playing Comp on every day and push my limits just to get 2Ks.

then I tried OCE/Australia. I got paired up with good coordinated teams there, some Chad Streamers and still enjoyed my time there.

I did try to stay at NA, but it got to the point that I ran to great survivors and felt like I'm just at SEA again. Never switched regions with my VPN since then.

I don't know what happened, but after buffing Billy, I haven't got a 0K since. So my MMR is pretty high that I regularly encounter the actual comp team from SEA. (Comp teams/Killers here regularly get matched that we are pretty familiar with each other). This is at playing in the morning, MMR gets somehow worse at Noon. Where I encounter actual babies and I somehow got Number 1 world record for fastest Billy 4K.

If you read one of my replies, Ive covered this (being shack specifically) and that I agree should go. getting rid of the elevation would not only help with this issue but it would most likely get rid of the trap shove spots as well.

This isn't only in Shack tho, any down slope surface like Swamp ground, Stairs is up for Crouch Tech. Even Crouching slightly to the side of narrow passageways are up for crouch tech because Chainsaw Runs and Shred are forced to aim for the middle or collide with the crappy wall collision.

  • The best thing I can offer is a good game sense and know when to leave a chase.

Had a bad(ish) start here where I lost all pressure after the first hook but got a comeback because I have good gamesense.

If it's not "sided" in any direction then why do I win a vast majority of my killer matches besides the ones where I feel so bad that I turn friendly? And no, it's not low MMR, I get tryhards with meta builds too.

Even SWFs lose most of the time, since most of them are casuals who just play for fun with each other, so they end up being "too alturistic" for their own good which gets them all killed. The exception of course being those try-hard SWF groups, but even then those ones win barely half of the time from my experience as a killer against them.

Against these SWF, I have the advantage as a killer to judge pre-game based on their skins whether or not I think they're a SWF, and I can see the items they have equipped. If I don't like what I see, I can dodge the lobby. If I see them all with toolboxes, I can bring Franklins. If I see flashlights, I can bring Mad Grit and Lightborn and capitalize on knowing that they'll try to flashlight me.

Survivors can't counter like this before the match starts, or lobby dodge killers they don't like. So even before the match starts, a tryharding killer can give himself the advantage.

You get to play Competitive too? Like Bruh, Most SWF has a high death rate because they're exactly SWF. They're altruistic af that will make mistakes because they're actual friends.

Now try to play at the Community Cups or Any High levels Comps or even try to Scrims with any of the Teams. I guarantee you, you're not even experiencing Top MMR Survivors.

BHVR also coded MMR to be if you escape or not as a Survivor. Even 1 escape means the Killer loss.

MMR is also dependent on the time you're playing. If you're playing 8pm on a sunday then you're playing the time when a bunch of casuals are just playing to have fun. Try to play at Morning/Afternoon on Weekdays, those are when the no social life no work tryhards DBD addicts play.

  • @BritneyMitch said:

Not a solution to the problem in general, but a temporary solution to your problem would be a VPN. I play on NA West and we get quite a few people playing on our server from Asia using a VPN. Yeah the 100+ ping would suck, but at least you could get in a game. I am suggesting this despite the fact everyone hates playing into a killer with high ping. Exitlag is the only VPN I have tried and it would work for your situations.

Theres a thread under this on the general discussions forums where people want to tear the guts of people abusing high ping with a VPN lol

  • @Ohyakno said:

One killers techs are not equivalent to half the games techs.

I hate this tit for tat stuff. The game is asymmetrical. Things are going to be different for each side and just because one thing gets nerfed or buffed doesn't mean the other side needs something nerfed or buffed. It's backwards thinking.

    Okay sure.

We should not remove Oni's 180 Flick as it's intended, but why did BHVR remove Chucky's 180 Flick when Oni still has it?

Hug Tech on Blight is getting removed but Wesker 's Hug Tech should stay?

Chucky's 180 Flick and Blight's Hug Tech is getting removed but Crouch Tech (CURRENTLY EXISTING FOR ALL SURVIVORS) which is older than Blight himself doesn't need to be removed then?

The whole point is if one tech is getting removed. THEN be equal and fair to the stance and remove every Tech on all Killers and Survivors

  • Another edit to the post, I added the clear statement from BHVR that says Hug Tech is not intended and classified as a bug.

    ovc06zaq2uy81.png

I am 100% sure Crouch Tech making your attacks slide is not intended
I am 100% sure as well that Heal Tech, Blocking the Killer from carrying the DOWNED Survivor by just healing, is not intended as well.

  • @Skitten56 said:

Big difference in techs that use established game mechanics that are functioning properly to achieve an outcome, compared to techs that use exploits/mechanics that BHVR has said are bugs to achieve an outcome.

Blight's hug tech is simply not comparable to stuff like the CJ tech.

Edited the post but CJ Tech exploited the fact that Killer has Janky Controls, netting the Survivor being saved. Would the Survivor be saved if you literally had diffirent button for picking up a survivor?

With this logic, I say remove janky control for Survivors as well. Spamming spacebar get you into the locker instead of Vaulting the window like you wanted.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

The techs mentioned have nowhere near an impact compared to Hug-tech. With heal tech, one Survivor might go out. With crouch tech, rarely a hit will not connect (really, I never had a problem with crouch tech and I play a lot of Billy). And if you fall for a CJ-tech as Killer, sorry, you deserve it and should go back to newbie-MMR.

Meanwhile Blights hug-tech had way more impact and made the game against Blight way harder for the Survivors, not compareable to one Survivor getting away or similar things.

Yea if the result are not intended aka Exploited Processes like the Hug Tech same as Crouch Tech. All of it should be removed

  • @fulltonon said:

I can't count how many times survivors managed to let downed survivor on gate out by doing "healtech", not that I care of but still.

YEAAA That as well. Getting a chance for a guaranteed Kill gone…REDUCED TO ATOMS just because a Survivor is pressing M1

Edited the Original Post by including Heal Tech as it's a genuine heart breaker losing your 1 guaranteed Kill to a survivor who 100% made a mistake.

  • Oni's 180 Flick and All of Wesker's Tech…

I'm sorry Oni and Wesker mains. Its a Sacrifices I'm willing to make… (as a Hillbilly Main lol)

    @Xernoton said:

I agree. The devs set precedent of fixing techs for the sake of fixing techs. I don't agree with that but I can understand it as long as they stay consistent. After all, techs are just tolerated exploits. CJ techs and crouch techs as well as whatever killer techs there are (I can't really think of one right now) would need to be fixed as well for that to be the case.

  • Remove Survivor Techs too then.

If these People here argue that Hug teching is using a bug to exploit, then Survivor Techs are the same then.

Remove CJTech where Survivor exploit janky as f*ck controls (having the same button to carry and kick).
Remove Crouch Tech for Billy and other Killers, Chainsaw Hit and Tentacles are sliding off Survivors just because they're Crouched.

Let's remove these also as it's obvious Survivors are exploiting this bug as well. Look at it! This is not obviously meant to happen right? Same as Blight's Hug Tech

No one wants to wait in a queue for a game that lasts 2 minutes.

Legion having Survivors mend for 20 minutes straight is fun then?

Skull Merchant and Knight 3 Genning to stall the game 4ever is better than facing a Billy that knows how to curve?

  • @NerfDHalready said:

i see this as just a flex but in case you seek actual answers, make wrong decisions like leaving an area with a hook and a slugged survivor so they can recover. if you take the 4 slug when the opportunity rises, game obviously pre-emptively ends. you might want to not run the most hated perks like grim and pain res if you get people hook suicide a lot.

Again I am playing the kindest I can be with this event, like look at my gameplay video example, the only time I slugged was Bill and I judged slugging was acceptable as there was a Feng 2 meters from me.

I am not slugging(in the sense of slugging to win), I am leaving hooks to give people a chance. I'm making sure I don't camp, and I don't tunnel, but BP gains are still bad because my Billy ends chases too quickly.

Edit: I don't even use Add Ons and my Perks are the most tame for slow down (Deadlock, Bamboozle, Lethal Pursuer and BBQ & Chili)

Survivors Enduring Another Miserable Event: Killers Most Effected

    I mean...

    In the gameplay I posted,

    I didn't Camp.

    I didn't Tunnel.

    I didn't even use an M1.

What do I do as Billy then to make it fun for Survivors? Throw and be a NPC Killer then? Make sure Chainsaw always misses or don't ever use it instead.

  • @Bafugaboo said:

I only get gen rushers and game is done in record times. No one since the beginning has been trying for points.

That's why being a Billy main so great. If you saw my Video I posted above. I had always someone on hook or was always chasing someone at all times. I only had Deadlock but survivors still did 4 Gens. If was not a Billy that had insane pressure, Survivors I face would escape more.

  • @Seraphor said:

Ending a game too quickly has always resulted in lower scores.

Is that good then? DBD is the only Game I know where you mechanically do something challenging (Chainsaw Curves) or End a chase too quickly (Being Skillful) and you get rewarded less for it.

In any other game, you get rewarded more.

  • @Chaosrider said:

I havent seen a single game where survivors got as much points as those unless they were farming the entire game. Looks fake.

Those guys are a bunch of Tryhard Comp players. If I'm a Killer Main with 5K Hours, That Ace alone has 6K Hours. That Party combine has like atleast 15K Hours of Gametime. I can see them bullying a bunch of Killers lol

You can even see them apologizing for bullying that poor Deathslinger lol and saying "Hey atleast there a lot of Points :D"

  • @Bartlaus said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/408986/i-find-it-weird-that-being-skillful-on-killer-on-this-event-gets-you-punished

The solution seems obvious. Play Deathslinger, he gets at least almost 200k BP.

Seriously, you're complaining about not getting enough BP but having fun matches with Billy? 150,000 BP is still a lot. On the survivor side, so many BP are rather the exception.

I mean yea sure, I'm having fun matches as a Billy that was also the case before the Event.

Like I don't even feel there's an event because of how I play Billy. Playing Myers and Oni would be the same. Downing People so fast (due to One hit down powers) Skillfully would lead to less BP gain thus getting Punished. If the Solution is to play another Killer then that just say to me is "Just ignore the problem".

  • @ArkInk said:

He's a 115% ranged killer with no manual reload and a near instant teleport he can manipulate to place wherever he wants. You will never convince the killer nor survivor in me that he's anything lower than A.

Bruh, No Manual Reload? There's like 7 Seconds of Cooldown between each shot. Good Survivors can just stare him down so Weakness can go away in like 9 seconds. You have like 2 Seconds window hitting Good Survivors. You also can't control where you place his Hallucinations.

You also can't just go M2 every game, unlike the actual A tier Killers. He's low B tier.

  • Just to point it out as I just remembered.

Old Object of Obsession where Obsession had Wallhacks on the Killer the whole game (outside of TR) was changed because of the same logic of complaints.

Old Object of Obsession was only powerful because of SWFs and had a low Survival rate because the Killer would tunnel and camp the shi*t out of the Survivor.

In the case of Buckle Up + FTP, Its only powerful due to coordinated SWF and the combo user probably has a low Survival rate because Killers would tunnel and camp the sh*t out of them.

  • @KatsuhxP said:

I don't know what to say to that, it's bad on most killers to rely on your power too much i suppose?.

But I admit that I play him basically chainsaw-only anyways because I want to learn curving. I've never played him before the rework because he felt way too clunky for me, now he feels good so I learn him now. I'd guess some of the people you're talking about will learn to play him better too and maybe play less annoying.

I'm a Billy Main who knows how to curve tightly and also knows Lopro Flicks.

It's honestly getting boring getting 4K 80% of the trial, that as a rule, I just use the Chainsaw every time. The only way I would go M1 is if the Survivor Teams are actually good.

The only time I ever get 1K or 2K is where I get unlucky and be sent to any Indoor Map.

My build is just Lethal Pursuer, Barbecue & Chili, Dead Lock and Bamboozle. My Entire gameplay for 80% of my Trial is just down someone in the 1st minute of the trial, Hook them then Go to someone I saw on BBQ & Chili then down them in 30 secs. Hook them and the Cycle repeats.

I can easily Kill Solo Surv Team with Billy and be left with 3 or 4 Gens remaining. Downside is I get to play on high MMR where I get a lot of SWFs offering to go to indoor Maps like RPD where I mostly get 2 or 1 Kills depending on how good they are to avoid me snowballing.

Just me saying here, Maining Billy and actually getting good at him is fun. I don't get the feeling of "There's nothing I can do to win" like when playing weaker Killers like Trapper. I actually lose when I play bad or because of Map RNG.

Grain of salt ofc. This is just amusing to me.

Well for me it's just for trolling on my end. I usually go for Curves/M2 on every Hillbilly Game without Hitting m1s. Plus again, This is just for people who go on peoples Steam profiles.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3661271#Comment_3661271

All this serves to do is now throw into question any high chainsaw hit number on a profile. Kind of sad and unfair to the actual Billy OGs imo, but I suppose the Entity likes the taste of that too!

Regardless, its still lying to inflate yourself. Nothing wrong with that, right? Doesn't actually affect the game, so i don't think anyone should care. But I do want to ask, are you a Billy main? I'm wagering no. So curious!

I started playing back in 2018, currently have 5K Hours overall and at least 1000 Hours on Billy. I mained Billy for the Insta Saw and Crackhead Billy Curves back then. I stopped maining him after Overheat got introduced. The only I regret was not playing at the time of the old Prestige 3 where you can get gold j*zz bukkake as a reward.

If I am not an OG Billy Main, then nobody was.

    Hours.png https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYTXuA2MrUs

Now that Billy no longer got the stupid Overheating Chainsaw, I'm now spending my Trials with only M2s as a Resurrected Billy Main

    Edit:

Also I've specifically put that absurd number of Survivors Hit with Chainsaw to show it to people who checks profiles after games, which is actually a lot in my region as I got like 8 pages on my steam profile just insults on how I am a toxic and bad Killer.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Anybody would know that's an impossible feat.

Yea but Ralph the Huntress Streamer has like 900K Hatchets thrown, so it isn't entirely impossible for a Billy Main out there to have +200K Chainsaw Hits.

  • @Mooks said:

How dare the devs have different button binds for the two different roles in this asymmetrical game??

btw, survivors still have the problem with vaulting and entering lockers (plus a few other things that happen less often eg self-healing/mending prioritized over unhooking or gate opening I think?)

key binding should work better on both sides. His is not us vs them worthy

Then change that as well, I'm a Killer main so post comes off as a Killer sided but my main point is to get rid of same button jankness.

I mean sure, but then, whats the point of the second botton?

So you could break the pallet (if it's down) instead of picking the survivor up, or not vault windows when you want to pick up the survivor?

  • @xEa said:

PLEASE DONT give us the extra button!

The times i got an extra down or hit from people trying CJ Tech on me (it never works, only fails) is astronomically high.

On higher or more decent Survivors, they would just literally just wait for the pallet save instead of taking any unnecessary risk like failing the CJ tech.

  • @TieBreaker said:

My guess is that it's because it would eliminate some of the creativity for survivors, making gameplay more stale than it already is. Things like the CJ Tech would no longer work and you'd never see a killer accidently vault out a second story window.

CJ Tech is literally capitalizing on Jank controls. Besides BHVR and 80% of the Playerbase (as those are Casuals), can't even do it properly

  • @blackfox0408_fr_ said:

Also, I'm getting a bad habit of getting stubborn on only using M2s while I could have got M1s and win a lot more Games. So trying to get better at Hillbilly generally.

  • @Chocolate_Cosmos said:

    What is the problem here?

The only perk that is being countered here is Friends to the End but that also eats like 2 stacks of distortion since it has long duration. The other perks are not countered. Aura positions are NOT screaming on these perks.

This is just an example of a match showing the builds. One of my Killers, Oni where I have Infectious Fright, BBQ and Chili, Monitor and Abuse and Sloppy Butcher. I didnt get a screenshot of the post game of that one but my point was as I rarely run slowdowns, I get like an average of 8 mins matches. Im just ranting that Tracking perks are useless because as I experienced with my Oni, BBQ and Chili & Infectious Fright were Dead weight the whole match.

You have to listen to his yell. It stops while hes scampering, so if you hear the first part then it cuts out to a loud grunt instantly, you know he vaulted and could double back. Also if the pallet was still there (hard to tell in the viceo), you could go for a stun, or throw it and THEN double back behind where he started. You can react depending on how you position, and if you can't hear or recognize the yell, then you have to commit to a read on which way he went.

The big thing is that his dash has limited turning, so thats the common thread to avoiding slice and dice.

Okay, I can see it. Dropping God Pallet and Double Backing would have prevented me getting the 1st Slice and Dice Hit. (I think dropping the God pallet would have been enough there as Chucky was facing straight on the right side of the Shack and that would NOT be a scamper on the God Pallet)

I pretty much asked this to get better at Chucky as I'm pretty much a 3K Hours player with mainly 2950 Hours on Killer and 50 Hours on Survivor. Also, my Survivor main friends are kinda on paused with the game, so I could not ask anyone lol

    Thanks, @Ryuhi & @HugTechLover

  • @HugTechLover said:

The first one, had he double backed, would have been fine.

The second, again, had he just stuck to the tile (on your left side) as you went for the dash under the pallet, he would have been fine.

Okay, I understand reasoning here. I agree on the 2nd Slice and Dice would not have hit if he just Held W to the Left Tile.

but there's still mind games for the 1st Slice and Dice. Would double backing be on your mind if Chucky can just Slice and Dice in an L Shape on the Shack?

Just for illustration, these would have been the Slice and Dice paths. Chucky could have done the Yellow Slice and Dice but did the orange Slice and Dice as both Felix and Jeff were expecting the Yellow Slice and Dice.

Edit: Both Felix and Jeff were done healing in front of the God Pallet at the start of the Video and saw Chucky at the outside Bottom Left corner of the Shack.

idk, I think it's rather telling when a perk that's been nerfed to the ground is still a popular pick. Some might think survivors have hardly any decent options if dh is regularly showing up again.....

Or, dare I say, survivors have to bandaid fix stuff with perks that should not have to be fixed by perks....

Im assuming DH is back to being common for now(on my games) due to the release of Chucky. Chucky Slice and Dice is so easy to tank with Dead Hard as it can't be baited like with the First Nurse Blink or with a Blight not hitting you with a Lethal Charge.

Again I've played since 2018, and I'm a Chucky in the game.

I have persisted on Survivors have 3 Healthstates via Deadhard dodging and Deadhard for Distance for YEARS. I'm a Chucky here so his M2 is so easy to use Deadhard on.

I celebrated when they reworked Deadhard. I do not want to endure and persist 3 Healthstates Survivors again for years again!

Oni had to at least hit 2 Heathy Survivors as an M1 Killer to get his Insta Downs while Myers Stares at Survivors just to get his insta downs. This doesn't consider that they need to hit these Survivor in Maps where there are a ton of 2nd Chances called Pallets and Windows.

  • Yea it's weak if it's other Killer, That's why I'm bringing Up Artist. Artist is the only one who can exploit the ######### out Dead Man Switch and Pain Resonance.

No Other Killer can make you let go a Gen while simultaneously being at the other side of edge of the Map.

As an Artist on Mother's Dwelling at the edge of the Map, you hook someone, You Hear a Gen Pop at the other side of the Map, DMS didn't take effect, You Send Bird 1, Survivor is now forced to let go or get injured by Bird 2 and DMS will be guaranteed to take effect.

This combo was nerfed on 6.0.0 and does not work currently but they are bringing it back which is my whole point. No One cares if DMS is 30 secs, the point is Artist can force you to activate it.

    It's 30 seconds, from 45 seconds.

Artist does not care what amount of time DMS is. The Bird will always get you off the Gen where ever she in on the Map.

If a survivor doesn't bring a boon, then Shattered Hope is useless.

But the true counter that I use at times, in my opinion:

Rainbow Map: Crystal Bead and Odd-stamp

Detective Hunch, Inner Strength (Inner Healing), Open-handed and one perk of your choosing.

This perk build is a total over kill when it comes to finding totem. Once detective hunch goes off, the map tracks EVERYTHING that hte perk revealed. If you right click it, the aura of every object will be shown to everyone, which could quickly dispatch Devour among other things.

As for this pig build itself, well, let just hope that you spawn next to the Hex. The way I do thing is that when I start the trial, I go around and make sure all 5 totems are dull. If I see a Hex, I break it asap due to the "If it glows, it goes" rule. lol

What if the Guy who has the Map and Aura Reading Perks is the first one downed? That guys is now Blind and Oblivious.

Any boon ruins this entire thing. Another thing that ruins it are simply 99% gens.

This is a build similar to another one I run as my main on pig, its there to force survivors to "play the game" so to speak. More objectives. Giving you plenty of time to mess with their heads, plan jump scares, etc. If a squad is sweaty they'll dump all over this build. If not...you get plenty of time to torture survivors. Meaning max bloodpoints for all.

Shattered Hope + Pentimento is there to Punish Boon Users.
