Not that it is hard to get to Rank 1 as Killer tbh. You can be Rank 1 while playing completely casual, its not like you have to sweat your balls off (at least not on EU-Servers, I give you that, might be harder on Asia-Servers, I dont know about that one).
And well, instead of a Reddit-Post, you create a Post on the DBD-Forums where you complain about how unfair this is. You could have gone for Cheryl right away, but you decided to go for the one person who could have DS (probably because you want your Revenge? As written in Postgame Chat?... If thats the case, its up to you).
And its not like that this DS cost you the game.
Oh that post game chat was for the day where in a trial when I faced him, they sent me to Blood Lodge and got my Undying and Ruin in the first Three Minutes and escaped 4. As for revenge I sweated hard in this trial to beat them fair and square.

And despite that you got a 3K.
My point is that what if casual killers that are not ranked 1 like me get hit with this exact kind of scenario, they'll be thinking of how bullsh*t the survivor side is and would be creating a reddit post of a rant on how unfair the game is then taking a break/quitting the game.

All that could be avoided by not picking the Cheryl without looking an obstacle.
You knew that the Claudette had a flashlight and you said they're good players. And then, instead of Cheryl you went again for the recently unhooked Claudette.
Yea it was my bad for not looking at the tree before picking up Cheryl but I thought that Claudette would be half way across the map by then getting healed that's why I got cocky. As why I went for Claudette instead of Cheryl, Cheryl went straight for the Loop with a pallet, and I thought that Claudette will still on a dead zone running away from me, That's why I caught Claudette at the end but got hit with the 59 secs DS.

You eat 2 DS a game? Sounds like you tunnel a lot. Maybe switch targets more often like most decent red rank killers do and you won't have that problem?
This is for High Ranks as you can read, High Ranks Survs with the DS + Unbreakable Combo Do Gens when their DS are Active. So Do I Ignore them doing gens then?

Homie is complaining when he has two self cares lol
How about this game? 3 Would have escaped if it weren't for me being a Blight, them Missing DS and them being altruistic as hell.

billy, make the survivor constantly listen to that trash terror radius music and they'll dc so their ears don't bleed
You were one of those people who wanted Banjo Death Metal as his Chase Music huh

what about doctor though? im pretty sure distressing is really good on him
Distressing can Work on Doctor, I agree on that but can you name any Killer that would also benefit on Distressing and Unnerving Presence other than Doctor? (Personally I rather get something more consistent like Whispers)

It has it's pros and cons, Widens Special shock but but warns the Survs earlier , Yes it can be pretty strong with the right Meme build on the Doctor, Distressing, Unerving Presence, Lullaby and Overcharge in small maps is really toxic for the Survivors but it's not like the Impossible Skill Check Doctor is the only way to play him at High Ranks.
But it's just Doctor that Distressing(I rather get something more consistent tho like Whispers) can work tho, can you imagine any Killer rather than Doctor that Distressing can work?

Small pp combos, huh. Pop and surveillance. Noed and blood warden, distressing and unnerving presence. Need i go on?
The Thread's point is at High Level Read Rank Games. I don't know which rank Killers bring Pop and Surveillance, Noed and Blood Warden and Distressing and Unerving Presence but Seriously Man. Pop and Surveillance is pretty weak early game(Small PP Builds are supposed to be strong at start of the trial), NOED and Blood Warded can easily be counter by getting a Map, Small Game or Detective's Hunch and doing bones as a secondary objective like the DEVS intended, Distressing and Unerving Presence... Any sane High rank killer would never run this at High Rank, why would the Killer want to increase his terror radius more that Survivors can be warned earlier? Why Would the killer run Unerving Presence when High ranks survivors can decently hit Great Skill Checks.
You're complaining about builds that you would never see on Top Killers unless they are Meming around.

Well, you could say whispers has value during the entire match. DS is a single use. UB is only single use. BBQ is multiple uses. Infectious Freight is unlimited uses. PGTW is unlimited. Distortion is so limited nobody uses it. Survivors have to work so much for Repressed Alliance nobody hardly uses it. Killers have it so easy and their perks just keep coming with strong effects with little effort to trigger them.
It's not single use to the Killer if 4 people runs DS + Unbreakable you know.

Wanting any survivor perk nerfed screams "I am a very bad killer"
No survivor perk comes close to BBQ usage. Double bloodpoints + wallhack
Whispers totally guarantees a kill in the endgame. DS or UB doesn't come close to this level of power.
You're forgetting we're gonna live forever and Object of Obsession and If the survivor is Oblivious it's a permanent wallhack to the Surv + with Voicechat you can relay that info to the others as well.

Original Poster again, I think this Pic is more likely to prove my point, 5 Minutes in trial 3 Gens gone because I sacrificed them committing to the hooks instead of rushing to them and leaving down survivors. I won this match because I was a Blight in Temple of Purgation. Do you guys think any Killers except the viable ones with no add ons could have won this game? I ate 3 out of 4 DS this match out of fear of unbreakable.

Undying + Ruin = new small PP build.
Anyways, blame the way killers play for survivors running these builds. If camping and tunneling is a "legitimate strategy", then so is running DS + Unbreakable.
The new small PP build: Undying + Ruin can be countered just by bringing a Map, Bringing Small Game or Detective's Hunch. What can I do to counter the Survivor's small pp then? This is what my original point is, at least as Killers give us the means to counter the DS + Unbreakable combo.
-
While other's point is that I run the Ruin + Undying combo, Survivors can just get a map or get Small Game/Detective's hunch to counter me, while a Killer What can I get to counter FOUR potential DS + Unbreakable combo? Should I just get a dang Mori every game to counter it then?
-
Yo original Poster here, for the new commenters, My point is that while the picture shows one DS + Unbreakable Combo, In my mind while in the trial I was scared because all of them could have run the combo! My anxiety was full blown telling me that every survivor are just gonna get up or 99% so fast to save Unbreakable if I don't eat the DS. That's what I want gone as a Killer, the invincibility phase survivors have getting unhooked.
@Accullla said:
Not sure what the screenshot is trying to show. You only played against one person with ds/unbreakable. Meanwhile you had 2 selfish carers (arguably the best killer perk in the game)

@Nutty_Professor said:
I agree that DS and unbreakable is just plain silly when paired together.
However, just because a player is at red ranks doesn't necessarily mean that they're good. Two of the survivors are using self care, so they can't be that efficient if they are wasting time self caring.
Also going by your player level, I highly doubt you have no more than 500 hours in the game. So you're still in the process where there are still areas in your game that you could improve.
Whilst the game is imbalanced, rather than blaming those imbalances when you lose instead look back at the game and reflect how you could have done better in that game. For example, you could ask yourself whether you spent too long in a chase, or you allowed an important generator to be completed early on in the match.
P.S: Sorry if there's any grammar issues, I'm writing this whilst loading into my matches.
Thank you for the response, I do agree that Survivors in red ranks aren't all good and I have some places that I can get better but it does not matter in the current trial if the survivors that are actually good really push the offensive limit of the combo like for example after unhooking, the one with the small pp and the unhooker just goes to do gens instead of healing, that's why I'm now force to down the survivor that just got hooked because they were doing gens, The Killer has to make a decision if he'll eat the D. Strike or Slug and let the survivor use unbreakable, at this time The Surv is completely Invincible and that's why I'm begging for a balance change.

I mean it could really mess with your aim at loops.
It's that or you Swipe your Mouse on 2 Second Window every chase just to find where the dang survivor is... Can you imagine playing Hag then manually finding where the Survivor is/went?
