The only killers I see complaining about it. Are ones who just need to get better. I rarely find myself in positions where they "dead hard" for distance and it takes another 40 seconds to down them.
then you wouldn't mind if they change Survivors that dead hard cant interact with pallets or windows for 3 secs

Yea, on his own game he literally teleport evil dead style and one shot survivors to death by grabbing them and DBD gonna make him like Clown or Trapper? they can return him from legal hell then if that ever happens.

People forget that killers are supposed to put survivors in a mindgame situation where they have to guess what you're going to do.
If the survivor predicts correctly, they get more chase time.
If the survivor predicts incorrectly, they take damage.
The point is that the survivor didn't mess up, they just failed at guessing. They have no control at a 50/50 if you're unpredictable, you as the killer did well to be unpredictable and put the survivor in the dilemma of potentially taking a hit. Not the other way around.
I wanna add that in Trials every second Counts, 3 secs is the difference that can let you interrupt a survivor working on a 97% Generator. In a High level tournament or High rank trials every Killers feels the stress of needing to get people away from generators. You as a Killer really cant do much of that said pressure while chasing or mindgaming a good survivor with Comms. also not everyone will loop or mindgame, good survivor will likely just Shift + W if they get a chance and they have a LOT second chances. A 40 secs chase means the other 3 survivors had 40 secs of progress to do 3 different Gens in tournaments.

Tbf hags like Michi who are very experienced can deal with these squads
Are you an experienced hag?
Give me a link to a High Skill DBD Tournament that shows a Hag won a game with Skill and not mistakes?

Yes, this is correct. However, MMR will most likely even out those "extreme cases". Dowsey with Twins is an extreme case, he won so many games (I think it was 879 Kills vs 1 escape), of course because he is a good Killer player, but also because the majority of Survivors are bad. I have never played against Dowseys Twins (but against other Killers when he was playing, sometimes he won, sometimes the Survivors won), but if MMR would have been calculated from the start AND used for Matchmaking, he would not have to face those Tournament-SWFs.
Because the game will check for more even games, so Dowsey will have stronger players at some point and this makes it harder to gain more MMR, since he will lose more often. And if he keeps playing Twins, he will lose against those SWFs with MMR active, until he is in an area where he can win with them again.
(At least this is how it should work, I dont trust the MMR-System at all)
So what about now, those guys are a survive with friends and should still playing right about. How does the Top 1% lose in the current MMR System? or Better yet even if the MMR System evens out those extreme cases, they're still pretty good will likely never lose as against a non S tier Killer. If you matched up against those cases it's still about "You a Nurse or Spirit, Great you stand a chance 😀. Anything else will be a struggle to get a couple of hooks or kill by a miracle so too bad so sad 😪"

If the survivors make no mistakes, why should they lose?
This already happens in tournaments then, My question is How do non S tier Killers win if Survivors don't make mistakes?

This game isn’t designed around tornaments at all. This is a casual game designed for casual players and that’s okay
As for your point as long as flashlights aren’t in play (which they won’t in a tournament) Hag is pretty viable too
I tried playing Hag in a tournament, Survivors disrupted my web when I was busy kicking, breaking walls or when I was just setting up, crarrying survivors. I went up against a survivor team that werent gonna let me create a web...
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Dont you see the irony of your point? You are bringing up Dowsey losing against a Top 1% SWF, and basically ignores why he had to go against such a team - because he waited for over 2 hours to get into a Lobby. First of all, this is obviously a MMR-flaw (no cutoff point to the top), but this also shows how rare those teams are.
Most of the time you dont need to play perfectly to win as Killer. Sometimes people act as if the Survivors can mess up the whole time while the Killer will lose after doing one little mistake, but this is wrong. I make quite a bunch of mistakes as Killer and still have decent Results. And I also have seen one Survivor messing up and the game going downhill from there.
Most of the time you are fine with basically every Killer against the usual Survivors. Only in competitive play you will need the strong Killers, but again, this games dont happen in your usual random queue.
And well, Nurse and Spirit are not really good examples for good gamedesign - one of them is a design failure who only gets balanced because not many people want to put effort into her and the other has basically non-existing counterplay to be good.
Lets take out the MMR system for now then. Do you think there's any Killer(except Nurse or Spirit) at all that stands a chance against the team that Dowsey played against? Like if the greatest Trapper/Wraith played against then would they win even in a good Killer map?

I think dead hard is fine the way it is . Doesnt need a nerf nor a buff .
Im not saying its op but whenever it works for a good survivor (dodging an attack or distance making) I just roll my eyes and think to myself "Damn I guess I just got outplayed by someone pressing E" then I proceed to encounter 3 more deadhards in other survivors in the trial.

On red ranks, good survivors there has some perfect dead hard timing that dodges hatchets and corrupted pukes, electric shocks and bear traps. And half the time they use it for making distance adding another 20 secs to the chase.

I feel like it on 100% of the time when Im playing.

Still weak, his main weakness is that laceration gradually decrease. Like in a chase there will multiple times when you will not be able to hit the survivor, like scott jund said it likes chasing someone infected by plague but they gradually get cured.

Yeah except you're forgetting that 1 hour of playtime =/= sitting around for 5 to 8 minutes waiting to get matched up, sitting in a lobby for another minute... waiting another 30 - 45 seconds for a loading bar and then watching a camera pan around your character for 5 seconds only for you to get sniped in less than 2 minutes, earning almost no points and making no progress towards your challenges.
I literally just activated the "repair 12 generators challenge" in the new tier III rift, played 3 games in a row and in all three games, I was the first one found and tunneled / camped... couldn't even get off of a hook... I would get off and get tunneled and downed, I even DS'd these plugs and they kept coming at me.... so I couldn't even do generators, which was my objective.
In 3 games I earned a total of 3 / 12 complete generators, and that just ate up an hour of my time... I barely got 2 rift points from those 3 games just earning experience... so I literally earned 1/5th of a rift level for 40 to 50 minutes of game play... and you're saying you need to play 1 or 2 hours a day? Try like 4 - 5... it's absolutely absurd.
You're not taking in to consideration all the time you waste just waiting to get matched up or getting screwed while you're IN the match.
The rift challenges are garbage and the game wastes too much of your time... If I were to add up all the time I spent just waiting around and not playing / making progress, here's the true math on the subject:
6 minutes average wait time pre-lobby
1 minute wait time in lobby because no one readies up anymore
40 seconds average load bar
5 second camera pan
So 465 seconds x 3 = 1395 seconds or 23.25 minutes.
I spent 23.5 minutes of my hour play time sitting around doing nothing.
I played the game for 37.5 minutes potentially earning points / progress towards rift shards.
I received 2 / 10 rift shards in 37.5 minutes of actual play time... rounded down 1 / 5 of a shard.
5 x 37.5 minutes = 3 hours and 12 minutes minimum for 1 rift level.
1395 seconds x 5 = 6975 seconds or 2 hours (rounded up) of dead time.
2 hours (dead time) + 3 hours and 12 minutes of actual play time earning rewards = 5 hours and 12 minutes per day for 1 rift level if you're going straight experience based with no challenges getting completed along the way.
That's the streak I'm on right now based on the past 3 games I had... now give or take a few good matches here and there, due to variables and the ratio might get better by a small margin.
You're still spending way more than 3 hours per day playing to reach level 70 on pure XP alone. Doing the challenges cuts the time down a lot but just assume for a second someone isn't that good at completing challenges or only plays 1 side of the game and not the other...
The amount of time you have to spend every day playing this game to reach level 70 is insane... and now take in to consideration someone can't play for 2 to 3 days due to real life issues... That person just lost anywhere from 10 to 15 hours of progress and has to somehow squeeze it in on a weekend or when they have a free moment.
GTFO of here with this.... people have lives and personal things to deal with. You can't expect people to sit here playing this trash for 30+ hours a week.. that's damn near close to full time job...
The point I'm making is, you can't play this game averagely or casually and expect to hit level 70 in 70 days... it's impossible. There are going to be days where you have to grind for 6+ hours to make up for lost time.
PREACH IT

This I do agree with, but at the same time I don't think they want to do that. The grind is usually what keeps people playing games regardless. There are way more games that have grinds much much more heavier than dbd, and it's what keeps people busy usually. Outside of the grind you don't have a whole lot to actually work for on this game.
Imo People play DBD to have fun, play trials, Tbag with Friends, Rekt Survivors. I dont think that people play as Survivor/Killers or play the game to get BPs or better perks! We're here to have fun not grind.

Next chapter the amount of shards needed per level are supposed to go down to 5. So the grind will reduce a lot.
That does not solve the grind for perks as the number of Perks with the ever increasing characters(Killers and Survivor) like you need at least 1.4 million to level 50 a single character but the perks there are still incomplete. As a new player can you imagine farming atleast 3 million bloodpoints for all Killer and Survivor just to complete the perks.

Not saying the Blight isn't a strong killer, far from it, but it is incredibly easy to dodge that rush attack. I especially hate that I have to purposefully run away from a survivor so that I can hit something first before I can double back and execute an attack. This guy almost makes the nurse look easy by comparison. LOL
Watch and share Dead By Daylight GIFs and True Blight GIFs by br0kenher0tv on GfycatDoes this count? I love Blight and since his released I have been maining him. You just need to learn to drift and experience on how the survivors would move. This is my gameplay against a good SWF.

You said that Perk tiers don't matter as tier 1 perks are still as strong as tier 3 perks, by your logic it's like saying it's Okay to nerf tier 3 DS to a duration about 40 secs because tier 1 DS(40 Sec) is as strong as Tier 3 DS(60 secs).

Ten matches (10!!!) in a row with the sweatiest Killers that I have ever had the misfortune of playing against. Every single one that me and my group of friends played with tonight has either tunneled or camped. What's worse is that clearly they're doing this for the double bloodpoints, but because of these ridiculous tactics, most have walked away with less than 20,000 (before double bp), which in turn makes the survivors earn even less.
I'm game if you want to farm, but if not then for the love of God don't be a dick and just play the game normally. You'll get a hell of a lot more bloodpoints that way!
I think you are matching up against Survivor Mains who are not used to playing Killer playing Killer because of the Blood Harvest. People who are not used to playing Killer would likely end up resorting to Camping and Tunneling. As more experienced Killer would try to get the sweet 32K we would never camp or tunnel this event.

Yeah whatever, you logic goes both ways.
You forgot the "Any survivor with half a brain will not touch any gen while looking for 5 totems while the killer is killing everyone else hahaha"
You're forgetting that there's a Four Survivor, A killer can't chase more that 1 survivor at a time. Look at the videos as my example I chase someone, other guys are doing Generators or cleansing totems. A Killer can't just chase a survivor while defending Gens and totems.
Look at the SWF one, I chase someone they pressure my totems and Gens, Look at the Solos now, two guys Commits to the gens while David finds totems and Meg get's chased.
Your logic is for 1v1 not for 1v4.

PERKS: DS + UNBREAKABLE "SMALL PP" COMBO IS NOT OP AND SHOULD BE NOT CHANGED.
Small PP survivor Combo vs a good killer (I asked if they were good killers on end game)
These were my matches back to back and it confuses me so much that many threads here ask to nerf this combo of "Ds + Unbreakable" because "it's so OP", "It obliterates killers", "Makes the game unfun" and etc.
Like you can just dont tunnel and slug to counter this but no. another argument is "Any Killer with half a brain would slug you for 60 seconds"
Are you guys playing the same game as I am? because the last time I checked it's 1v4, take a look at the videos of the "Overpowered small PP build" against a Good killer and a good spirit. While I am being chase the killer just slugs or doesn't tunnel effectively destroying the combo. A survivor can't just walk away when they're being tunneled
In my honest opinion all the people who complain that this combo is super op on highly mobile killers are just lazy to find slug , too lazy to dont tunnel cause y'know it is more easy to tunnel or just want to 4k every game
TL:DR - YOU PEOPLE WHO COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS COMBO AS OVERPOWERED JUST SUCK AT THE GAME, GET GOOD! (Like the killer at the video.)

So you're complaining about survivors sweating when you're literally sweating too?
^ That's a huge problem in this community btw, Killers trying their hardest to win but don't want their opponents to try hard too, like?? You were using one of OR the most powerful killer build in the game, proxy camped and tried to tunnel Ace with 4 gens left, shook your head at Feng in a toxic way even tho she hasnt done anything to you to deserve toxicity.
Also, you haven't played the game a lot if they're the sweatiest team you ever faced. There was only one good looper and it took them 10 minutes to get all 5 gens done.
"Teabag at every pallet"? Man stop, Quentin teabagged one time and that's all.
EDIT: Just saw your other thread, yeah ok you're one of these Killers, the kind who reaaaally cares about their ranks and their kills, i suppose you also play like this against solo teams.
Tried to slug ace or shoo him away because I was sure he saw my ruin there.
Also did that to feng to signal her to go there near the hook (baiting the hatch there) because when I picked her up initially there were no hooks nearby.
They were all good loopers imo, I got 4k because Feng was caught off guard because I was undetectable, Ace got stuck, Dwight was just very unlucky and Quentin was god tier but was alone in the end.

So your solution is force everyone off of the origional survivor meta perks and make them all use detectives and small game. Sounds like a pretty unqiue and totally original build to me.
Also you know how much time you have to waste to cleanse five totems? The time it takes for survivors to get almost two gens done. And that's assuming u find all the totems straight away, the killer doesn't interupt you and ur in a co-ordinated swf.
You're also thinking like you're in 1v1 game. Even if you are on solo q, it's not like you don't have teammates.
While you're Cleansing totems, at least one guy is doing generator, if someone's being chased then do Generator or Bones. Dont think you're along in the map with the Killer.

Bruh, have you seen forums? One of the biggest and oldest complaint here is that generally Generators pops too fast.
By having Ruin and Undying in a trial, Survivors are now forced to have a secondary objective (that was ignored most of the time.) that will slow gen progression.
It's not like doing 5 totems are bad. You remove NOED coming into play, counter all Hex perks and given points because of it.

-
Or Cleanse 5 totems as a secondary objective as Survivor like the devs intended.
You can replace perks like Decisive Strike ,Unbreakable ,Borrowed Time ,Dead Hard or Sprint Burst or any other meta surv perk with Small game and Detective's Hunch. You can also bring a map if you want 4 meta perks to stay that much

I just want to discuss how unfun it is to get SWFs like these. Not argue about Ruin+Tinkerer+Undying on how sweaty it is? Like I can't even counter Object of Obsession normally while you can just go find all five Totems to counter Ruin and Undying.

You want more reward for less work?
You didn't get your chase points up, by your own game mechanics. You chose to insta-down instead of a 2 hit game style.
Bruh then by your logic using Billy, Oni and Shape's powers are punishment to them because those killer chose to use their powers instead of hitting people twice so they should be punished by getting less points because they did less work? The less work part is questionable though, like have you played Billy, Myers and Oni and other insta down killer? you need to work for those downs. Oni has to hit people for the blood, Billy has to predict body movements carefully, Michael has to stand there and stare at people for a long time. You need to work hard on red ranks to get those insta down.

Not that it is hard to get to Rank 1 as Killer tbh. You can be Rank 1 while playing completely casual, its not like you have to sweat your balls off (at least not on EU-Servers, I give you that, might be harder on Asia-Servers, I dont know about that one).
And well, instead of a Reddit-Post, you create a Post on the DBD-Forums where you complain about how unfair this is. You could have gone for Cheryl right away, but you decided to go for the one person who could have DS (probably because you want your Revenge? As written in Postgame Chat?... If thats the case, its up to you).
And its not like that this DS cost you the game.
Also on why I chased Claudette instead of Cheryl in the end :

Yea it was my bad for not looking at the tree before picking up Cheryl but I thought that Claudette would be half way across the map by then getting healed that's why I got cocky. As why I went for Claudette instead of Cheryl, Cheryl went straight for the Loop with a pallet, and I thought that Claudette will still on a dead zone running away from me, That's why I caught Claudette at the end but got hit with the 59 secs DS.
