OR for Sloppy Butcher, most Killers now have Mangled Add Ons just like my Leigon in the pic, just use those.

You're forced to choose between chasing survivors or kicking gens, so against a good, patient team it's honestly not worth it. Agression and passive slowdown perks are better on killers who lack mobility.
That's not to say it's a genuinely bad perk, it's just that in a normal trial agaisnt a good team you probably won't get more than one or two uses out of it.
@MadLordJack said:
The fact that you're getting away with using Pop on slow AF m1 killers is rather telling. Surge? Absolutely. Pop? No, you're relying on survivors to screw up a fair bit and 3-gen themselves while you massively drag out the trial.
Actually encountered some patient teams. If remember correctly the team against my Clown was one of them. (Image above)
They did like 3 Gens in three minutes so what I did was camp someone inside a 3 gen with 8 stack of STBFL.
I forced the survivors to choose to do the Generator or see their friend die. Knowing that they are in SWF, of course they'll save their friend but 8 stack did their work. Got 2 downs from camping and snowballed like crazy. Surge and Pop did wonders regressing the 3 gen by 33%.
I got 3 "Camping Killer" comments on my steam profile but got the 4K in the end.
TL;DR : If its a patient team, play dirty. Camp, slug or tunnel. In late game dead zones should be common so it should be easy.

Then SWFs would have even longer q times then they already have because of lobby doging. If they were to implement something like that it would have to happen when you load into the match in in the post game lobby.
@Rivyn said:
No, otherwise it would increase dodging. SWF itself is fine. Nobody should be punished for playing with their friends. It's how it's implemented into the game that is the issue, and that's entirely on the devs incompetence, and failure to do anything about it.
However, you should be able to see who was in a SWF in the post game lobby. That way I can know if I was stomped by a crutch, or by some really good solos that I can respect.
Sure, I can agree that if it's not in lobby, it can show on post game

Consistency and fairness.
Why should Billy get 2 ways to trigger Surge, but Clown only gets one way to trigger Surge? (For example).
I know Clown is king but... I don't think that the right analogy...
It's like saying "Why should Billy get 2 ways to trigger Surge but Nurse/Spirit get only 1 way to trigger Surge"
-
Then isn't it unfair that Michael's on Tier 3 can apply sloppy butcher while Oni can't?
Edit: If they made Michael in 2021, it's guaranteed that it will behave like Oni's power that Tier 3s attack are not normal M1s.

Bc then they dont need to revisit all this perks if a new killer comes out. They could have a broken combo with a killer power if not.
How does Nurse (an S tier Killer) being able to use Sloppy Butcher properly more OP than Oni not applying it while bonking survivors.

Really? Its an exhaustion perk, meaning you have to not run for 60 seconds to regain it. So, unless you stand still with your killer for 60 seconds (although a lot of killers can do that easily because they camp anyway) your killers power would be a once-a-match use, for having a short distance rush. This leads to just one conclussion: You play most killers wrong.
Le me doing a Generator for 80 seconds.
In all honesty thought that 60 secs isn't much if you consider Killer can't chase 4 survivors at the same time.

*5 million BP+ later*
Oh nice, I finally got the perk I wanted at tier 1!
you'll need atleast 150K BPs to get the perk to tier 2 and tier 3. That is to say RNG doesn't cuck you and decide to let it spawn in the next two bloodweb.

Because if you could buy what you want why would’nt I just run flask of bleach and thick cork stopper every match?
I was thinking of maybe buffing all Add Ons on the level of Barb Glasses and Black Heart for Demo. In short, buff add ons where every thing is wanted.

because they want to incentivise playing different characters i think
My point is we're being forced to buy useless crap that we are never gonna use. My Bubba has 71 Speed Limiter Add Ons and my Billy has 62 Speed Limiters.
71+62 = 133
1 speed limiter = 3000 BPs
133 speed limiters x 3000 BPs = 399000 BPs
133 Speed Limiter are just collecting Dust in my end and my 399000 BPs ended up down the drain. I wasted 399K BPs because BHVR forced me to buy those Speed Limiters. Why am I forced to buy crap like these?
-
Another point is most Add Ons of newer Killer are dang near useless expect using them in meme builds. Like with Ghostface there is zero reasons to get/want/use the other Add Ons other than Cooldown Add Ons on him. I'm basically spending BPs on Add Ons I will never use, basically wasting the half of BPs I'm spending.

The point should be to experiment with perk builds, test out various combinations, and get better at the PvP aspect.
I've been in Paladins for four years. I get to test builds and styles out on any new champion out of the gate. Absolutely zero grind. The two of three "Talents" they lock behind a level gate can be opened within an hour of play on that champion (if they're worth it Talents to begin with). But I get to experiment with builds from the start. And what's kept me playing for four years if just that: build experimentation and getting better with each Champion.
I've been in Overwatch since launch day. That's five years now. Zero grind. Nothing to unlock. McCree is McCree, Lucio is Lucio, Zarya is Zarya. It never changes. But getting better with the roster, doing new team tactics or ultimate-combos with someone else, that's why I play.
DbD has an asinine grind. I come and go from this game a lot more than I ever have with something like Paladins or Overwatch. Here they use the grind as a design crutch to try to keep people playing. If I wanted that, I would go back to MMOs.
Yes, Most of just want to have the perks we want without grinding for so long. For example My Plague is already at 4 pages of Purple tier 3 perks But Thanatophobia still won't show up for some reason.
If they want to DBD to be grindy then fine cool BUT at least give us the hope/timeframe when I can get the perk I want. For all I know I can have 6 Pages of tier 3 perks till Thanatophobia shows up on my Plague.

@miketheratguy said:
No offense but I don't understand why so many people see this game as a grind. I'm not saying that it ISN'T a grind - it is - but I mean, you get no special "win" state or super bonus for prestiging characters or making them adept or getting your favorite perks, etc., you just keep playing games and keep getting bloodpoints.
My point is, if the main point of playing the game is to hurry through the grind then what's the point of playing at all? I don't mind the grind because to me it's a secondary component of the game, something just happens naturally on its own as a side effect from playing. I don't see a new character or perk and think "aw man, now I have to grind that", I think "hmm, maybe I'll switch to that character for a while now".
Like I said, I'm not trying to insult anybody, I just don't understand why, if the game is all about grinding by playing, so many people are focused on the grind instead of just enjoying the play. It reminds me of the South Park Warcraft episode where the characters go through hours upon hours of grinding so that they can beat a particularly skilled player, then when they do they're like "great, now we can play".
Because half of the perks on both side are weak so most of us(for me) what the usual crap right off the bat.
Like with Nemesis, I'm aiming for Corrupt, STBFL, BBQ & Chili and Ruin. We have 84 Perks by the new chapter. With RNG for all I know I can get 80 tier Three perks before the Four perks I want show up in my BloodWeb. That 80 perks would cost about 3+ Million BPs on avg, and that's not taking prestiging into account. That's what I hate about the grind and it keeps on increasing because I always get the new chapters.

I've been saving BP through Tomes, events and redeemable codes for the last 6 months so I'm good. I kind of assumed Resident Evil would be the 5th year and luckily for me the recent chapter had nothing I cared for which made it easy to keep saving. So now I'm chilling on 7 million or so bloodpoints. For now I plan on getting P3 Nemesis and Leon which with my current stockpile should get me pretty far down that path.
With that said though the grind is insane in this game and they don't even do double BP events anymore for god knows what reason. I feel pretty bad for newer players. I've been playing since the start so I've been able to keep up with the grind pretty easily but for newer players thats an insane mountain to climb.
Bruh Redeemable codes have expiry dates...

Yes, that's right, I just want Ruin, BBQ and Corrupt so I can enjoy the games in the ptb, not get rekt by survivors who already have their meta and wacky perks while I just have like the basic tier 1 perks on my level 16 Nemesis. How do I test something in the PTB IF THEY'RE NOT AT THEIR MAXIMUM STRENGTH?

Yeah, but plague has to puke on stuff. Zombies spawn just by playing as Nemesis, you don't have to do anything at all.
Please understand that Resident Evil is survival horror, ZOMBIES are suppose to be Obstacles while the main baddy(Mr. X and Nemesis) chases you. Mr. X and Nemesis are easy to deal with in their games, It's the zombies that get you.

Betting the first ever 2 Killers and 2 Survivors Chapter, So my bet is Mr. X/Leon and Nemesis/Jill.

Idk, I played Dota 2 since 8 years ago and I still have like 6K Hours but 23K Hours is something else... We're still talking about farming hours for 13 hours a day for 5 years.

I played an MMO for 10 hours a day during a month I had to stay at home, years ago, with nothing more to do.
It was only a month, but playing a dozen hours a day is possible. We don't know, they could have let the game run on tje back while doing something else to boost their hours.
I sometimes let DBD runs in the lobby screen (the one you have to click on Ready to find a match) because I'm doing something quick like feeding the cat or washing something. I probably have one or two hours of me doing nothing.
Who would let DBD run 13 hours a day for 5 years.

well, depends what you count as "Zombies".
Technically speaking pretty much everything in RE is a Zombie, so Mr. X or Nemesis could be classified as such.
however, the Devs have stated their dislike for the stereotypical Zombie (= grunting, slowly limping undead only driven by hunger) in the past, so i think its pretty unlikely we're gonna see those make an appearance.
Zombies are Zombies/Mindless Undead that Ate the living in RE. For those others... they are just technically B.O.Ws that are designed or programmed to hunt our protagonist.
MR. Xs/ Tyrants were just programmed to hunt every witnesses or survivors in Racoon City. Lickers and Hunters are the Same, Nemesis was designed to hunt every STARs member. Those Plant monsters were just there to get blood for nurtients.

rank 1 killer vs ranks 5 and you complain? you for real mate? those guys half perks are useless. using self care and looting build lmao.
ur build is weird and weak as hell, is ur fault for using a troll build. and yes you cannot complain about dead hard which almost never work anyway, i have over 3k on killer and over 2k on survivors in dbd, and the only times i complained about dh is before i reach 1k in dbd. now that im a veteran i just see the whole picture as a whole, get better build and play better if you cannot win against ranks 5 mate. and beside u not suppose to have 100%winrate.
So its either "Hahaha Meta build = no complaints" or "Git gud and use Meta builds so you can't complain noob"
Okay sure, whatever you say.

So what now? I don't think I'm using any meta perks here, I still cant complain about Deadhard?

You can't use dead hard whenever u want every exhaustion perk has same cooldown after using sprint burst and lithe are both better than dead hard in my opinion because are much more reliable than dh and sprint burst and lithe waste more time to killer than dh because they gain distance advantage over killer which with dead hard u don't maybe u can gain distance to one pallet or window and that's just maybe if ur lucky
Be me
*Chasing an injured survivor to out in the open, heading straight to a Cow Tree tile*
*Gets to lunging distance and survivor dead hards to Cow tree window.*
*Survivor now has access to a strong window and a safe pallet*
*A Gens pops in the distance.*
I guarantee that I'm not the only one who experience these things.

What, so we nerf all good survivor perks so that they're forced to use something else? We nerf the perks that can actually be used consistently and effectively in matches instead of buffing the weak and situational ones?
If the devs do end up nerfing the half dozen decent perks that survivors currently have, I'm expecting that the 15+ good killer perks should also be nerfed then?
Lucky Break and Slippery Meat were buffed to being good perks. I don't see them nearly being used than the Meta Survivor perks above.
Nothing will happen at the top 1% even if they buffed all weak and situational perks, It still gonna be like the image.

@Clueless said:
What if when they successfully dodge a hit with it, it would remove that downside. Rewards a well timed DH that way.

I’ve never had much issue with dead hard tbh. All that needs changing is dead Harding over traps
Probably won't happen as if they do change that DH won't work on Beartraps, they'll have to change it that Hachets, Spears, Punishment, Chainsaws, and Electric shocks would always hit the survivor using Dead Hard.
-
@justbecause said:
Dead hard is like any other exhaustion perk (well 80% of them) to give you speed boost and that's it
Head On is feeling left out in corner.
DH purpose should be only to dodging hit/power with the Iframes.

@deckyr said:
that's definitely one of the more interesting ideas i've heard for dead hard drawbacks. firstly because it doesn't intend to completely destroy the perk to the point it fully ceases to exist, it just wants to attack a specific usage of it.
i maybe wouldn't say 2 seconds, if only because i'm more inclined to say "the exact length of a normal killer missed attack cooldown", so that dead harding through an attack doesn't then make you get hit because the killer was ready before you were. also, shadow buff to unrelenting??
otherwise, i actually don't see any issue with this. this is super well thought out. have my upvote.
Sure even 1 sec is fine, Just stop it being used to get another vault from from something like Shack window!
-
I'm pretty sure that I pounce and get hit by nothing in the camera. It's the same with Bubba and Blight that Tires, Trees and Rocks can sometimes stop their power awkwardly. I can be patient with a Tantrum or wasting a lethal rush charge but waiting 15+ just to resume a chase with Victor because he got kicked unfairly is annoying.

Nemesis has a rocket launcher in every single one of his appearances, even if the frequency with which he uses it varies. It's his most iconic weapon along with the tentacle.
Isn't Freddy and Ghost face supposed to be loudmouth mofo and Pyramid Head in Silent Hill 2 used only his Knife that one time but used a spear 80% of the Game?
DBD interpretation of Killers changes.

@edgardot02 said:
It won't be nemesis, it will shoot survivors with the rocket luncher?
definitely no, it doesn't fit with dbd lore
it has to be a killer from RE7 or RE8.
Who says Nemesis = Rocket Launcher ?
RE3 Remake Nemesis just uses Tentacles and Runs super fast and gives zombies parasites so he's scary enough even without weapons.

This post is so unnecessary. The game is 4v1. End of discussion. You don't win by giving survivors a chance and play 'fair'.
You're on your own (as killer) and are allowed to use all means that are provided to you. Excluding cheating. Camping is allowed. Using unfair perks/addons? They are literally in the game to be used.
It sucks but unless they don't change the core gameplay or add new mechanics, this game will remain one big frustration for everyone in the community. Peroidtttt..........!
If this is so unnecessary tell that to survivor here in the forums and in my steam profile comment that. This is just my post to let survivor know they should stop complaining about said tactics.

Yes, the whole point of the post is as Killer, it is needed to do some form of tunneling/camping/slugging to win against good survivors.
My additional opinion is that Survivors needs accept such tactics and deal with it without being salty no matter how unfun it can be.

You cannot take a sample of four games and take that as proof for any assumption about a game as complex as DBD. Meanwhile, the Bubba game went comparably well. Is that to say that Bubba is always OP and will always guarantee a 4k?
It shows that it's a win by Camping a hooked survivor inside a 3 Gen.
Thus the point of the post that Playing fair which Billy, Huntress and Deathslinger did in the videos made them lose the game but with Bubba who played scummy won.
