I'm not quite sure what's going on here, but I've been doing a bit of testing. I get the envelope, same as everyone else in a game with 5. I 3k. Maxed out on everything besides sacrifices, trying to use a variety of hooks (which with No Boil on every second survivor is no treat). My BP: 45k. 8 games thus far. 2 were against 1500+ hour squads. Either there are a lot of survivors right now or something is badly off with SBMM. I got absolutely curb stomped, like 1-2 hooks every game. 2 were against bully squads abusing the new boil over to take the game hostage on Eyrie and RPD respectively. 2 had multiple people DCing within the first minute of the game. They've disabled Haddonfield until it gets graphically updated - meaning we AREN'T going to suffer through a deluge of Strode Realty Keys every game, as people use up their stocks of this famously well-balanced and fair map! As the title states above, unless there is something I am misunderstanding here, but let me share my thoughts. Hopped in a killer game for the event, when the offering screen appeared, I see a crotus prenn offering. According to the known issues the map should have been disabled, but we somehow ended up in that map. Anytime boons (particularly COH) are brought up in a conversation, I see people saying that while they are ridiculous, they like the concept of them. So now I'm genuinely curious, what is it that you like about boons? Do you like that they give survivors another objective? Is it that they spice up gameplay for you? I read how the red envelopes worked my first few matches they worked as I suspected. But since then when i started a match I dont see my red envelope anymore to "activate it" and have sparkles on me and get the cosmetic anyway. I thought they adjusted that, while attempting to solve the box, you won't be attacked by the chains? Apparently not, just had a match where I could not breath for half a second into trying to solve it before yet another chain would attack me. Of course coupled with longer solving time add-on. It is an event so people are definitely going to make it as painful as possible for each other. BUT, the event in practice isn't too horrible. The problem with many of the old events is that it either lead to farming or griefing. And while this one isn't exciting (they often aren't) it managed to solve that issue. What needs to happen in my opinion is the game needs more love to the horror aspect of what it was supposed to be and less about how well the killer out played four other people. Remove Mori Offering, make any survivor that is downed at death hook stage available to Mori. Then make Mori's a cosmetic item that you can buy with cells, shards, or obtain through the rifts. Are we supposed to have the Deathgarden masks or not? So, back in November everyone found the Meg Deathgarden mask in their inventory. Some people received the Trapper Deathgarden mask, others didn't. One of my accounts received Trapper's mask. The account I can actually play killer on didn't. So most killers are add-on reliant for them to be viable and Pig and Clown are two of those killers. Pig already received a big nerf pre patch that basically ensures that she won't get head pops most of the time (due to the nerfs to Crate of Gears & Jigsaw Sketch). I played 7 games today since the mid chapter update dropped fresh and three of those games i barely heard anything else other than "the box, you opened it" and "you summoned me". the nemesis we see in dbd is based on his appearance in the recent resident evil 3 remake. Just played a few rounds of the event and played with the new Red Envelope offering. Sometimes tho a player was able to collect my Red Envelope before I didn't get the chance to get it first.
