Very rarely. I play killer a fair bit. And I'm not that "experienced" a player according to a lot of forumer on here. I probably have 250 hours on killer.

And I deal with DH just fine. To use DH effectively you have to predict almost exactly when the killer will hit you. And most players will either run at you, or wait for you to lunge. Holding off for 1 second will let you see the surv dab then you smack them. Sure extremely good players will use it at pallets or vaults. But they still get stuck in an animation and there is a gap between the dab and being able to drop a pallet. People who can use it tonthat degree are few and far between. I drop prestige 80+ players with over 100 days play time.

As killer you simply need to have the discipline to not swing at the first possible second. Be less thirsty for the hit and you'll find you start to encounter it a lot

This is the long version of what I exactly said...just wait for it! When you wait Dead Hard is a little overrated!

  • Im not talking about together I was comparing them.

I would very much like to see 150% ruin or even 200%. Ruin means there's no gen-kicking synergy. It's one perk slot that does well, but does not create stalement. Sure. Buff the perk back to at least 150% as a middle ground. Right now the perk is quite useless (or as an alternative - leave it be, nerf dhope and buff all hexes as a mechanic)

You can't have a 150% regression hex perk "and" have perks like COB/Eruption because that's broken and 200% is "extremely" broken!

    115% is fair!

  • Run BT more and hope more people run it! If your that paranoid of tunneling run DS, BT/DS!

Just dodge those lobbies. If the devs won’t make a fair matchmaking system, then you have to take things into your own hands.

Yeah I never got why a person would want to stay in a lobby of 4 Fengs with the exact same outfits and all items! I just leave!

Heck in survivor lobbies if I see twin Fengs I'm outta there bc that can only turn out bad (had bad experiences also) lol.

Either they're working together to sabotage the game or the killer is poised to hardcore tunnel, either way it most likely won't be a good experience!

It was a point of reference.

Also because some players have rose tinted glasses and seem to think the perk didn't deserved to get touched for a reason.

    I wasn't referring to you

Yeah I didn't understand why people didn't think all gens regressing at 200% wasn't super busted lol!

I used to just run all Hexes and by time they found them all I'm already at like at like 6 or 7 hooks! Now using Undying/Ruin is a waste of two perk slots!

  • The ones who only play Nurse! The ones who play Nurse and Blight! The ones who play Blight and Spirit with sweaty perks (COB/Eruption/Scourge Hooks/Overcharge or Dead Man's Switch and addon's all the time!

Your a bloody Sweaty tryhard! lol

  • @BlueHorkew said:

Bringing the old 200% is dangerous, because of how the perk has constant value.

My takes, do one of these:

    • Buff to value in between, like 150%
    • Or, make the perk have an activation condition. Something like having a survivor injured or hooked or a time limit, something of the sort. That way the perk could go back to 200%.

Who said anything about the old 200% unless your just mentioning it as a point of reference! 200% is obviously busted!

    115% is fair!

  • Yeah end game collapse challenges can be annoying bc people are dc'ing or the players are so bad that you don't make it there.

    Ehh that's DBD for ya!

  • @Xernoton said:

Genuine question: Is that still fun for you? Doesn't that get repetetive after a while?

I'm not judging. I know some people will try to be the best and give themselves every advantage but for me this becomes tedious rather quick.

Nah not at all because I'm super competitive! It's because I come from the fgc (fighting game community) so I'm naturally like this. The term is used in fgc to funny enough but no where near as much as it is here in the DBD community. I very much have fun so yeah.

I hear ya, to each his own!

  • Ruin at 115% is super fair. 100% does practically nothing in high pressure situations

  • Eh doesn't bother or affect me that much. When survivor does something wild like run towards me or something else obscure (Window plays etc) I just wait for it then swing!

Old Dead Hard was way worse! This is nothing like that.

It's terrible when it works because you can only get up once, and then you get slugged again. The Killer knows you're going to have UB if you're running flipflop+boil over+tenacity (or power struggle, unless you're doing all of those). So then you get knocked down again.

It's terrible, because the counterplay is to slug you. Which is nothing but annoying.

Terrible doesn't mean weak (it's a meme play that's sometimes okay if it works); it's terrible because slugging is bad. And on its own, it is weak. People just run it with no supporting perks a ton.

Once again your opinion! Slugging is bad is "your" opinion! I do not share the same opinion as you do! You say it's "bad" I say it's "necessary" to win. People are different and I'm one of the different ones that do what I want and don't do what everyone else does or runs.

I've definitely escaped with Boil Over/Breakdown/Tenacity/Flip Flop so I don't know what your talking about. Consistent maybe not but a perk that encourages slugging doesn't make it terrible imo!

  • @RainehDaze said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3361472#Comment_3361472

Unless everyone has suddenly changed their mind to endorse 'lie on ground doing nothing for four minutes' as a desirable thing to encourage more of, it's undoubtedly the correct one.

Got nothing to do with what you said and that's a situation! You said it's weak and pretty much useless and I said that's your opinion.

Also your not gonna be slugged for 4 min if you play "smart" and run Tenacity/Flip Flop/Unbreakable. It's actually pretty strong your just down playing it because you think it's weak, opinion!

  • @RainehDaze said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3361342#Comment_3361342

Oh, no, even when it works it's a terrible perk, because it encourages slugging, and that means everyone's frustrated. Unbreakable only works once.

Thats your opinion your entitled to it.

  • Boil Over is good if you know how to use it and actually gets value in matches even against high level players (killers)!

You have to commit with it ie you need builds built around it. Tenacity/Flip Flop/Unbreakable/Break Down all good choices to support Boil Over!

If you play it right you can really waste alot of the killers time so I don't think it's a bad perk at all or worthless or useless you just need to build around it

  • @Blueberry said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3360955#Comment_3360955

Well we need less nerfing of perks just because they’re meta and more just buffing all the bad perks.

    Agreed!

  • @RainehDaze said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/366608/boil-over-need-a-buff

It's just easier to angle your view on PC to move with the wiggle. It's not that it doesn't do anything, it's that people can play to counter it easier. You can't buff that without literally making it impossible to deal with.

Do not buff this stupid, cancerous perk. Its only effective application is in sabo or main building builds that lead to slugging, or being a pointless nuisance.

Good points but not pointless! I've played a number of games with a wiggle Sabo build (Tenacity/Unbreakable/Boil Over/Flip Flop) with Alex's Toolbox and good add-ons (I'm sweaty I know) and I've done pretty well with it.

I always have a plan of the killer comes to me and all in all I waste "alot" of the killers time.

Only downside to this is that I can't get caught end game bc I'm prone to getting bled out or hard core tunneled!

Yes we get it....your opinion is you don't like it fine but stop being so aggressive when others don't share your thoughts and feelings on the matter. This thread has gone from a discussion about your feelings of it to that your Opinion is law and anyone who doesn't agree or share it are wrong.

People are responding to you with sass and memes because of YOUR reactions. If you didn't want or like that then take a step back and take a breath and come back and have a civil discussion about it. But don't expect everyone to share your feelings on the matter since after all we are all human with our own thoughts and feelings on everything.

I don't care how many upvotes you get for your comment, it could be over 70 and I could care less. I speak affirmatively that's the way I talk I am the same way in real life. Also this is the internet buddy so people naturally "react" to others comments all the time, I am a human being just like you so there is no exception here. People don't have to agree with me I'm fine with that but your not gonna paint this picture or image of me like I'm the bad guy because I see too much of that and I see right through this.

Aggressive? Why because I'm putting things in quotes, maybe we as a society should stop taking things so personal and stop being so soft, that's "one" of the problems with it today! This is an off topic post because you and others attack me for having a different opinion so naturally I'm going to defend myself so your attempt to turn this around on me is in vain and if the thread gets ######### down then we know why now.

Everything else you said is just blabber bc I know that already. I pay $$ for DBD therefore I am very much entitled to have an opinion on this just as much as someone who hardly spends $$ on this game at all. People like you want to invalidate me (my opinions, thoughts etc) because what I say is not the norm, moving on....

Get over it already ok, moving on and back to the topic at hand!

I wish their approach to balance would either entail killers facing the same perk potentially up to 4 times OR to enforce no duplicate perks for survivors (or at the very very very least for SWFs) OR buff killers for once with something that is actually noticable in-game... Also for fun, you could listen to killers for once when they say that certain perks are broken af but I guess BHVR is too busy babysitting survivors to hear that...

It's funny the poster above claims it "react" in a negative way yet I said respectfully and I often do lol smh. Anyway moving on. I totally agree with what you said here. BHVR wants to hold the 12, 13 or 14 year olds hand when they are perfectly fine crossing the streets by themselves. Yet they let BHVR hold they're hand anyway. Typical mentality ..

    @Zexbunny said:

Bhvr: *tries fixing a major issue for survivors*

    Certain killers: reeeeeeee

Honestly, if you're quitting? Good. This community has enough people in it with no empathy for the other side. Solo queue has been miserable since the beginning. It's always been the weakest side in the game and with the buffs and nerfs from last year, it was made even worse. It's the side that has needed help the most. And now they finally get something you have people screeching like a banshee that bhvr deigned to make the game slightly less miserable for the most miserable side.

This helps close the gap between solo and swf. Which in turn helps them figure out what needs buffed/nerfed. As it's been, every nerf they make and every buff has widened that gap. And I'm turn that has disproportionately affected solo queue while only chipping at swf.

Also no noticeable buffs people are saying? Wth do you call a jump in 10% kill rates? I swear some killers just want to get a 4k every game. In which case they should just go against bots. They have zero perks right now. Might be their speed.

As for limiting perks... That's a logistical nightmare in solo queue. Imagine loading into a match and then waiting for some player to drop their perks so thet can even ready up. It's ridiculous. More viable in swf, but then you're just punishing people for playing with friends. Not every swf are seal team 6. Which again is the real strength of swf. 4 good players with no weak links who are willing to do gens.

People want comp rules... But only for the other side. But comp rules don't just restrict survivors, they restrict killers too. Funny that nobody who wants comp rules proposes them for their side as well

Who says I'm quitting for good or quitting at all lol? You people are real funny. What you "don't" know poster is that I main killer which means if something were on the line I'd main killer and not play survivor but I play survivor as well and I'm really good at both roles so you"I don't have empathy for the other side" ie bias ess is invalid!

If I play Trappe, Pig or Knight, Myers or any of my other "weak" or "weaker" killers I am at more of a disadvantage bc survivors are more coordinated. I don't play Nurse or Blight so this change directly affects my performance and I have to constantly use COB, Scourge Pain, Overcharge and Eruption in most all of my matches because I need an equalizer after also getting out on disadvantage maps most of the time.

You want me to quit? Too bad bc until further notice I'm not quitting oh and btw I don't care about you either so at least we are mutual on that end

  • Thats fine, be sarcastic with memes, literally doesnt accomplish or change anything. Stay a troll!

  • I will spend less time and alot less money on this game. Good job BHVR you managed to take something good and start to turn it into crap.

An option for it to be turned off, really? Okay, so as a survivor player why would you turn it off? I bet you mean it should be an option for the killer, at which point most killers would absolutely turn it off.

Because I don't want to play with it on that's why so obviously I feel there should be an on and off option. Don't like what I got to say too bad, that's "my" opinion and i play and or want to play the games the way "I" want to, get it? Good!!

No I am not talking about an option for killer I am talking about survivor, good day sir!

Everyone mad that this ruins the horror aspect of the game....this is what the public asked for. All of the most heavily urged suggestions by the community more and more are going to gear this game into a competitive one rather than a survival horror multi-player party game. You can't want Killer buffs that make them more COMPETITIVE but then be mad about this change...it's borderline hypocrisy.

Competitive? Your joking right!? Not only is the scare and surprise real life element and factor gone but it definitely will never be a competitive (eSports) game for sure now.

They're butchering DBD in my opinion. I am all for buffing weak killers for balance so your not talking to me

  • Buff Killers (mainly Trapper, Clown, Pig, Ghost face and Legion), Do another perk rework (nerfing Eruption, COB and buffing perks like Ruin etc), rework "Luck".

Telepathic by Daylight that's what the game should be renamed too, it's so dumb!

  • @Peanits said:

They definitely are not on the same level even with this HUD. A coordinated group will always be able to plan things out better than a group of solo players with the HUD. The HUD is simply aiming to close that gap as much as realistically possible.

Why? Because asymmetrical games like Dead by Daylight have a very unique balance problem: Both sides are not the same, so each side has to be balanced around the other. This gets even more complicated when you add solo players vs. groups into the mix. If we balance Killers around solo players, coordinated groups would have a field day. Meanwhile if we balanced Killers around coordinated groups, solo players would have a miserable time. By reducing the gap as much as possible, it gives us a much tighter range to balance around.

Respectfully I do not agree with your approach to balance! You say the best way to balance this game is to balance it revolved around bridging the gap between swf and this new hud but this will not balance the game at all imo and only make things worse.

If you ask me personally the game will be balanced much better if you do another perk shake up/rework and buff weak and weaker killers. SWF will destroy every killer that's not Nurse (good) or maybe Blight. Coordinated survivors (new hud ui) makes the weak killers struggle even more.

Luck needs to be reworked as well, why are none of the devs addressing luck anymore? I understand these things are not easy and you guys are doing the best you can but this is not the way you get proper balance! You are essentially holding survivors hands so they won't complain while ######### on competitive killer players! You "do" realize that killers have a hard time map wise right? Your so called random maps actually goes on the randomly disadvantage maps for killer in what will be I guess you guys attempt at balance. I would be ok with this until this ui hud totally is killing the killer experience. You guys are taking away from what made or makes DBD unique, why? Why fix something that's not broken! DBD was not broken up until this point. Just my opinions and criticism I hope you don't mind!

  • @BrianOfJudea said:

The new survivor hud is more of a convenient change and not a substantial buff, bad solo teammates are still gonna be bad despite these changes. The info from the huds is undeniably going to make decent survivors more aware in general but just knowing that your other teammates are healing or doing gens isn’t going to make matches go twice as fast with the gens getting slammed faster than they already could. I’ve already played two hours of killer and the hud changes in my experience have not and won’t impact on the overall speed of gens. Even if these changes do result in the kill rates dropping slightly with the escapes rates potentially increasing which is likely, as a killer your only as good as the survivors your going against and vice versa as a survivor, how can you improve or proclaim to be good at either role if you win every match with little to no effort.

Kill rate dropping "exactly"! This is not balanced it's very unbalanced. It's gonna impact the game in a negative way you'll see..

  • @VikingDragonXii said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3328136#Comment_3328136

There is nothing wrong with the UI update. It won't magically make all Survivors Seal Team 6 Killer stompers. I played some of it and it helped out knowing the Killer was chasing someone I could go unhook safely or go a little risky and do that One Man Gen.

You have to live with the fact that not everyone shares your OPINION and will have their own OPINIONS. So please before this gets out of hand (it might be already) don't get so argumentative to folks with a different opinion than you.....it never goes well especially if a Mod has to step in

I can argue my opinion all I want! We either discuss our oppositions or we argue them, it's the same thing. I think the UI implementation is a terrible idea and yes I will argue this.

  • Oh because Japan and Korea are saying what I'm saying I am no longer an entitled killer I guess! Lol typical mindset and followers.

This hud ui thing screws killer. You are literally butchering the killer experience with this. There are way more reasons why this hud thing should be removed as opposed to it staying, it sucks a** really, I wish they either put an option for this and separate hud users from non hud user games or revert it back.

Games with killer are getting way more dumb. It's stupid at this point

Survivor main here, I feel this post so much. This update sucked the horror and helplessness out of the game. Like you said no need for emote communication at all, the sidebar tells it all, its pathetic. Looks like I might have to move on to something similar with actual Horror elements, I mean I loved that the game wasn't always drop in and know what is happening everywhere but now its just meh. Might as well play Demolition or Search and Destroy on MW2 if I want Horror elements LMAO

Same here...DBD won't be the same for me after this and while I won't be playing FT13th I guess I have to find something to fit the horror experience that I'm looking for.

I will be playing this game way less and it sucks bc as a killer main I also like survivor it's just that if something were on the line I'd play killer but now it's just crap. Just yesterday I went on a 3 or 4 losing streak and that has never happened to me before...

It's happening bc not only am I getting out on bad maps constantly I now have to deal with more coordinated survivors ie players having they're hand held? Why?.Why would they do this? Built in bt wasn't enough? My goodness! Why not just give everyone free Unbreakables while they're at it and free Tenacity...so dumb!

    @Phasmamain said:

This doesn’t make killer significantly harder. All it does is make solo queue more capable of competing with SWF

If this is a dealbreaker for you as killer then you just wanted to get easy 4k’s on solo players

It's contradictory! Swf is a big problem bc only Nurse and to a degree Blight are the only killers that can handle them but it's still no guarantees...

yes it is, killers stomp solo queue still, and in return get stomped by swf. But you ignoring one factor in favor of another doesnt show you the picture.

You fail to realize one very important factor in all this..maps! Killer loses over 80% of the maps but yeah let's balance solo around swf....smh! Like swf isn't a major problem for killers to begin with.

The devs are bad at balancing and they sometimes have terrible ideas period, they're human but at the same time this is rediculous.

  • @DEMONANCE said:

can we just stop crying about ruin and bbq? they have been meta for 5-6 years we don't need them again enough is enough use new stuff be creative.

The new stuff? The new stuff ie COB/Eruption/Scourge Pain/Overcharge is getting overused. So it's the same 4-6 (Dead Man's Switch etc) perks being used so don't act like this "shake up" made people have more variety in builds bc it didn't.

  • You guys may like it and think it's "balancing" the game meanwhile I'm in reality and the reality is that its help solos don't need, it's like a crutch!

I absolutely do not agree with what is said in this thread for the most part. I stand by what I say the hud icon thing is dumb and takes away the surprise core element of the game! You know even though it's asymmetrical "horror"! You people aren't even trying to make sense of why survivors can suddenly get extra info in the first place. Want to know if a survivor is on a gen or if they're healing, make full screen aura reading perks I dunno

You guys can't tell me how I should be enjoying a game "I" pay for by spending $$. There should be an option for it to be turned on or off at least!

  • Ok ok 115%, 100% is not doing anything thus making the perk useless in this unforgiving meta of icons, free BT's and getting generated constant bad maps.

  • I got it! Survivor has gained the psychic ability and are telepathic!

Thats the only way I can make sense of this! It's absolutely crazy!

Kindred, Wake Up? Who cares survivors are psychic now so who needs aura reading?

    Smh!

  • @Orochi said:

Although I would love a buff and it should get one, it's not completely unusable. I have been having a good run with Dredge using it, Undying and Haunted Grounds. His ability to teleport to apply pressure has people running off their gens quite often. Also, people underestimate how much time people waste once they realize there is Ruin and will hop off gens to find it. This combined with HG can really swing the early game in your favor. Not having to kick gens while it's still up also saves time.

Bad totem spawns are more to blame than anything for its underperformance. Luck is a huge factor and luck is not something you should be relying on in this game.

Keep playing with it, that was just one game or one experience..I actually use Hex builds competitively Undying/Ruin is absolutely garbage! Keep using it and you'll see what I mean, even with Hex builds it's still very lackluster and a underwhelming perk!

  • @renvolt said:

It's not even in the same ballpark as being as coordinated as a SWF, it just ever so mildly improves the solo Q survivor experience. Now when a teammate gets hooked you can see "3 gens, ok nobody is going for hook" and go save. If I get left on hook a couple times less I'm happy, and I think they were just going for bridging MAJOR communication gaps like being left on hook, abandoned with noed up, etc

imo callouts are what separate SWFs from solo queues, if solo survivors could ping "killer spotted at shack", "finishing gen then omw hook", "saw a hex in main, taking killer to smokehouse someone go cleanse" then yeah it might be game changing. But seeing Meg with a blank icon for 3 minutes bc she's looking for a totem to bless and you thought she was going for save? Trust me there's still an element of surprise (and disappointment)

Hey! I don't care about all that, the whole point is the killer experience is now significantly harder! Everything else your saying about swf is irrelevant!

    @tippy2k2 said:

Because Solo Q DESPERATELY needs some QoL fixes to make it at least a reasonable playing alternative to SWF.

Right now good SWFs will absolutely curb stomp most killers but you can't really knock down survivors too much because Solos get extra hammered by nerfs. Hopefully once they figure this balance out with the HUD icons a bit, they can figure out a better Killer v Survivor balance for everyone.

Desperately? I disagree, people are just bad at the game overall because they make dumb decisions that gets themselves and the team killed! That's the truth and the matter of fact!

The game is horribly unbalanced now! You can't tell me it isn't!

  • @lemonsway said:

Those icons are extremely powerful in the hands of decent players. Knowing when someone else is being chased is way too good information.

I get it you want to give SoloQ something to make up for SWF existing but ABSOLUTLY FREE POWERFUL INFO IS A HUGE MISTAKE!

Less people will play killer now, so you can expect expect even more tunneling and camping.

Info that players don't have to work for or have any sort of awareness!? YIKES!

I absolutely hate it as a killer main and "all" my matches got 3x harder....

Why would BHVR do this? They are holding survivors hands once again smh.

  • Most people don't know that the devs implemented something that makes the map rng likely to go to a survivor sided map and this is for maybe a few reasons!

  • @Xernoton said:

Maps influence the match strongly no argument there. But saying you simply lose because it's a bad map is a bit over the top. Sure, some killers have a big disadvantage when going to the wrong maps like Trapper on Eyrie, Billy on Lery's (I swear I lose a part of my soul every time that happens) and Myers on pretty much every Coldwind map but it doesn't mean that you can't win. It means you'll have a much harder time and might even be forced play in 'unpleasent' ways to make up for it.

Maps should be much fairer, agreed, but they don't decide the outcome of a match by themselves.

I'm saying from my own experiences it plays a major role. Obviously there are other factors!

Maps should be much fairer, agreed, but they don't decide the outcome of a match by themselves.

Yeah not by itself that's what I'm saying as well but it definitely is a factor and for me personally a major one. I play 13 or 14 killers and they all lose to the same maps more or less. Hag and Pig are perfect examples of this!

  • I can name 8 or 9 killers better than Sadako! She's top tier! Her overall kit is insane!

  • @Canas said:

She's still an awful killer to play as, the only thing which boosts her killrate is the usage of her two best addons combined with a specific playstyle. Beyond that she's sadly dogwater.

Far from awful! Sadako is very strong!

So Sadako is only good against SoloQ and only good because people are bad at DBD? That is the only take away from what you have said. Which honestly kind of shows the flaws of DBD.

Sadako is poorly designed in that regard, since her effectiveness dies with SWF or when facing half decent survivors. Which is something you quite literally cant argue against since you literally said it yourself.

This is ignoring the fact that most people I see playing Sadako often rely on using the Iridescent and Green Condemned addons (which I have no issue with personally since I know how to counter the Condemned playstyle).

The main takeaway from this (which is my opinion), is that I wish Sadako was just better overall, and sitting here and saying "Sadako is top tier" is not help Sadako get any closer to being a better killer instead of "le SoloQ Destroyer" since that is just bad design imo (reason why I dont like Eruption).

Why are you bringing up swf!? SWF destroys "any" killer and no Sadako will not die to half decent survivors if the Sadako user themselves are strong dbd killers so your comment makes no sense and is not what i am saying at all! Poorly designed? Thats your opinion your entitled to it i far from agree though.

I dont care abourt "how" ie what combination of perks and add-ons a killer uses. It doesnt matter at all, all that matters is the win! Win for a competitive player like myself otherwise casual players dont care about winning. I very much do care and dont want to lose and i will do "whatever" it takes to win including tunneling someone out the game! If it will get me the win,I dont care!

You dont agree with me and im totally fine with that, i still bring facts up!

Top 8... and still A+ what on earth tier list are you using?

While I dont think shes the worst shes definitely not great, definitely an easy killer to beat if the survivors know how to play. Even the condemned strat doesnt work on good survivors.

Shes the same as alot of killers, requires weaker survivors or "casuals". But to me shes an easy W, but this is why opinions exist I dont think wraith, billy, slinger etc. Needed nerfs but others did...

Yes she is top 8 imo!She is not S but shes not B either! Shes a easy w until you run into my Sadako then it is not easy at all but rather very difficult!

I'm not even talking about the Condemnation strat. I'm talking about her pressure on the map, because her map pressure wears out really quickly if you teleport and don't have Iri Videotape.

Survivors have no reason to take tapes and spend time doing that with Sadako's basekit. Even with her tv cd addons, it doesn't matter until she runs Iri Videotape. Having a few stacks of condemn means absolutely nothing and it really isn't until you start getting to 5 stacks where removing condemn is important.

Oh i love when survivors dont do tapes! It makes my games alot easier! Sadako is very strong!

  • @Shroompy said:

I will say this. Sadako is definitely a lot better than people give her credit for. Is she top tier tho? No.

When looking at a killers viability there are many things to keep in mind. But when youre comparing them you have to mainly look at Maximum Potential.

When comparing killers you have to look at just how good that killer can be in the hands of some one whos mastered them. You cant compare a master Sadako to lets say, an average Wesker, or bad Blight. They also need to be masters at their craft as well. When you do that, you realize that she still falls short compared to the majority of the cast.

Now another thing, its still very much possible to have good results playing as a mid to bottom tier killer. Putting in the work and hours to learning them will wield you pretty good results against the majority of the playerbase

Of course! I come from the fgc (fighting game community) and we only asses the highest level period because strong players best represent they're characters so this is a give in!

So strong Sadako's will wreck strong survivors (not swf) or at least draw even with them (2k 2 escape)! We see the problem with dbd and why conversations like this seemingly go back and forth or nowhere..its because most people are bad at dbd, that much we can agree on!

I do consistently well as Clown using minimal add-ons (usually yellow or brown ones) does that mean clown is top tier?

Your experience with the killer is valid but your statement about her being top tier is not. The general consensus is that she is below average and this has been shown to be true by people playing her without using the condemnation strategy

By healthy for her kit I mean gameplay that is fun and engaging for both sides. The condemnation strategy requires slugging with no hooks and camping said slugs just enough to keep pressure on one person who will inevitably die. It’s not fun gameplay and shouldn’t be encouraged if we want sadako buffed

Clown is weak, Sadako is not weak so what are you saying!? If you play Clown 5 games in a row your games will get harder and harder because you have Clown a very underwhelming killer and quite weak but since it takes "way" more to escape a Sadako naturally you will do better with Sadako than Clown! These two killers are in two completely different tiers anyway so how are you comparing them?

I hear what your saying but your talking about playing one specific way! People are not all the same and are individuals so not everyone is going to play the way you described. I certainly dont! I use a completely different set of add-ons and perks than most people (well actually i use your typical gen defense build as one set with Sadako).

Sadako buffed? She is fine the way she is, why does she need to get buffed! Her add-ons are very good, not Myers good but still good!

Well competitive survivor, we look forward to videos of your slaughter of swat squads. Please show everyone here.

I dont post DBD content i play when i play! You dont have to believe me i dont care! I have and continue to wreck survivors with Sadako!

    @Crowman said:

She's only good if you either take advantage of condemnation to force kills ignoring hooks or you take advantage of iri videotape allowing you to have near constant mobility by resetting your tvs that normally have too long of a CD.

Her stealth is not really that stealthy due to the lullaby and her phasing can certainly throw survivors off, but she just doesn't do much if she's forced to chase survivors.

Wrong! She's not "only" good with the way you say playing her, shes good period! Your trying to create all these scenerios to enforce your argument, cut it out Sadako is very good! She is top 10 hands down!

    @Hoodied said:

Okay let me get this straight, her tvs have a heafty cooldown that trumps her not having a cooldown as those are her cooldown, her teleport needs to be managed too often, her only form of viability comes from her condemnation strategy that I seriously doubt is fun to do

Her undetectable is actually worse than wraiths as it makes a loud noise whenever she is near someone during it, while wraith only makes a noise when up on top of you or when activating his bell, which afterwards he actually has a movement speed burst that can be used at loops, while also moving faster while undetectable, visibility wise i’m pretty sure Sadako actually has a version Spirit’s intermission from a distance mechanic while Sadako is undetectable, with a set distance on how often she does it, while wraith also has true invisibility that progressively gets more blurred and visible the closer he is

Kill rate wise, her being “top 3” implies that nurse is bottom 3 and that michael is in a healthy state

Once again people dont pay attention to what is being said and just react to everything....I never said she was top 3 if you actually read what i said i said that she has top 3 kill rates and "because" of that she obviously is not a weak killer! "Thats" what i said!

You cant hear Wraith or Wraits uncloak is better? This is debatable! I think Sadako's is a little better and you definetly "can" hear Wraith coming from his grunting so theres no real big comparison here in regards to her lulluby!

Ah a classic edilibs, never fails to entertain.

Sadly i am sure that your passive aggressive tone will get you kicked from the forums sooner or later.

Passive aggressive? I speak the same way in real life buddy! Your clearly emotional about the way i post so i suggest you get a better handle on those emotions and just conversate, object, discuss or argue things with me. I dont care about your emotional state to my posts! First of all you cant name change on dbd forums otherwise i'd change my name second of all i dont care about your opinion about me!

I think very different than most people and i perceive things differently than most. Im different but i also bring up good facts to support what i am saying. All you people have is

"Oh your playing at low mmr"

Oh your going against baby survivors "all" the time (despite my mmr being high with certainkillers but thats the dbd community for ya, they make absolutely no sense and its full of contradictions here

Not only can you not win, you people dont even want to meet on middle grounds but i do appreciate those that do meet on middle grounds. Some have posted in this very thread! I am not changing for anyone! Do you understand this!?

    Good!

  • @Phasmamain said:

She’s average unless you do the condemnation strategy which is definitely effective but not healthy for her kit imo. I’d rather buff her current abilities and nerf that strategy

Also kill rates mean next to nothing. If we’re to go off of them Pinhead is the best killer in the game and nurse is the worst

You "dont" need the condemned strategy to be effective or optimal with her because i win with her using a variety of combinations! The killer is nonsense period! What do you mean not healthy for her kit?

People like me dont care about how we win we just do what it takes to win so your comment in this regard is directed for casuals, im not casual im highly competitive! You can down play or make excuses and justify things all you want it doesnt change anything, Sadako is top tier, end of story!

    @Chocolate_Cosmos said:

Nah, still one of the weakest killers in the game if you are facing decent Survivors who know what they are doing.

Yeah she is one of the strongest killers in the game and not weak at all! Here we go....lol What you say is very stupid and makes no sense because "no" killer should do well outside Nurse based on your logic! It makes absolutely no sense! People are mostly bad at dbd so your so called point is unwarranted and meritless!

Therefore you are not only wrong but you are incorrect as well! What you say is false!

    @GentlemanFridge said:

The fact alone that Nurse has a lower killrate than Sadako according to those same stats should tell you enough, tbh.

It says nothing because people dont play Nurse and the main reason for this is because her skill window is very high so people dont use her or you as a survivor wont run into Nurses that often "especially" as new killers are introduced who are alot easier to play! Nurse mastered is unbeatable, you know this, nothings changed!

    @GoodBoyKaru said:

She can teleport to TVs with no cool down

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/P8LWKC2PFSZH/image.png

    lmao

Whats so funny! She has no cooldown projecting through tv's ie after i project through a tv i can manifest and teleport to another one! No cooldown! You are laughing at literally nothing. Are you ok?

    @Adjatha said:

Any killer with a secondary element to their power, which requires even the SMALLEST action on the part of the players, gets an artificially higher kill score than killers whose power is totally in the hands of the killer player.

This is not an indication of a given killer being powerful.

This is an indication that the average survivor playing this game cannot do anything that is not holding W to run or M1 to repair a generator. The skill floor is so low that most survivors simply don't even try.

This comment really doesnt deserve a response but according to your logic and others nothing matters! Kills dont matter, ability doesnt matter, when a killer does well its because of low mmr...smh lol I cant even meet in the middle with you people. I refuse to sink down to this level of rigid thinking or entertain it, you are free to think what you want! Im speaking facts you are speaking your opinion!

That's cool; I switch to a more serious build at Iri grades to pip up earlier but I run that a lot as well.

Blast Mine/Residual Manifest/Wiretap is actually really strong and right below the level of a meta build!

It wastes so much of the killers time while being efficient!

  • @TheSubstitute said:

Wiretap, Blast Mine, Residual Manifest. If the gen isn't kicked we see the Killer's Aura. If the gen is kicked, the Killer can't see auras for 30 seconds.

Yeah this is one of my builds with Lithe and with my main survivor!
