Have been playing solo saviour a lot lately, trying to help out what appear to be really bad survivors. It was fun but have been seeing a lot more pairing with high rank swf groups now. Due to this I started to change my play style and began messing with them. I take the beginning of the match to run the map and drop as many pallets as possible before catching the killer's attention. My main foc18 comments 501 views last activity

Hey devs, Seriously would like to hear some reasoning for the reintroduction of double pallets. I find these to be very unnecessary as a solo survivor and highly irritable as killer. Is this intended as additional protection for the unskilled survivors? Or Is this rng overlap from limited placement and a mandatory minimum for the match? They seem far more frequent on reworked maps.6 comments 81 views last activity

Was watching a tydetime stream where a review of the emblem system showed some glaring problems. Now with his opinions aside and simply going off of the facts of how the emblems are designed showed that an MMR system will not be able to categorize and properly match Killers with survivors of their level. I do believe that survivors will benefit from an MMR to be better matched with other survivo4 comments 91 views last activity

Have noticed several separate instances of the new ui not changing to reflect current health state for killers. The most common factor as I can tell is; Injured survivors running adrenaline will heal on the final gen but ui will still state that they are injured. This was most notable as I witnessed the bug in chase, visually seeing the survivor change to healthy but the ui remaining injured.0 comments 11 views last activity

"X killer is to strong when the player invests time to master" There is no standard difficulty in dbd, just skill level. Saying a killer is to strong is a statement of underdeveloped skills. No one complains when the killer player is viewed as needing to get good, but when their skills surpass survivors the op rants start popping left and right. It's always a design issue with the call to make i0 comments 21 views last activity

I call them killers, expecting nothing less than a brutal hunt to take all my chances away and collect my life. The thought of guaranteed opportunity over situationally based decisions sounds like predictable AI from every other horror game, boring. I don't see camping, tunneling, or any other killer behavior being toxic because it's only my perspective in-game. What I see is a monster hunting us5 comments 81 views last activity

Just wondering if there is any data on the hook to death ratio across ranks. Many players claim an easy 4k or escape, but I think that fails to establish how play styles achieve that result. For example; you can 4k every game but never hook more than once or not even hook at all. There are also the cases where survivors dominate all match but then allow themselves to be hooked just to earn save1 comments 41 views last activity

You were just situationally bested by another "player". Even if overall they are not as skilled at the game, in that moment they got you. Maybe it's your mistakes, perhaps they made a high iq play, or maybe that one perk really helped in the moment, but it all stems from choices. Everyone can be or get salty and upset, but don't blame design when it's a living being calling the shots. If they are4 comments 91 views last activity

Being able to kick over burn barrels to block paths and direct chases away from strong/ near endless loops. In the same way breakable walls shorten a loop for killers, setting fire could lengthen or temporarily dispose of overly safe sections. I think this would add to skill based play as it would require timing, map understanding, and has to be utilized to take an effect.7 comments 101 views last activity

I honestly think slugging is way more fun and smooths out the game's pacing problem. Dbd has all of the proper horror elements but lacks the time to emphasize them. I find that utilizing slugging grants a number of benefits to everyone and improves match quality. 1. Extends game time 2. Guaranteed to occupy the survivor for a set period and a 2nd survivor to pick them up 3. Grants survivors mo20 comments 371 views last activity

If object of obsession was a killer perk. Aside from cries of how unfair being targeted from the start would be, I'd expect it to be nerfed before reaching a mid chapter update. But it's amazingly fair for survivors as is because "it's the survivor's choice" to be a target with unlimited knowledge of a killer's whereabouts. Now that the devs have started cleaning up animations, it would be nice if we could get this as an option at least. I know there are plenty of survivors that would refuse to keep playing were it mandatory, but anyone else want to take survivor play to the next level? I feel like this would be a perfect nudge to instill that horror vibe of paranoia.7 comments 121 views last activity

So many survivors complaining about getting caught. It's less about how the killer is designed and more about poor perception. With all of the available options to help with early detection and avoidance, I can't find much room to argue that it's the killers fault you stayed on the gen and got caught. Every killer is avoidable.9 comments 151 views last activity

You were only paired with players of equivalent skill not rank? I've seen several posts of people mentioning players with ranks where they don't belong. So if you didn't have to worry about smurfs or advanced opponents, what the longest you'd wait for perfectly matched teams and killers?4 comments 81 views last activity

I just find it strange that in a game where the killer is supposed to be a powerful dangerous Force meant to be avoided, my fellow survivors want to complain about the danger. Iridescent add-ons, instant down attacks, moris, undying and ruined hex combo, etc. It's four survivors versus a monster, not four survivors versus their equivalent. Every survivor should expect the killer to decimate them40 comments 631 views last activity

Don't know if your waiting for keys to die down or what, but I've been playing against alot of you and I'm not seeing many equip add-ons. Anyone have some insight? Killers please bring out the iridescent and purples, don't let us survivors have it easy.7 comments 141 views last activity

I play solo survivor and I just don't understand. Where does it state you are guaranteed more than one hook? I was under the impression that you only get 1 and your few attempts to escape it. Anything more than this is due to other survivors playing smart or making a trade in your benefit. If you die on 1st hook, I get that it bruises the ego, but that shows your evasion and stealth skills need m27 comments 531 views last activity

So I haven't been playing killer and deranked (from reset not effort) far beyond where I should be into Grey. I had some daily rituals and figured I would just focus on the requirements not killing. I spent every killer match playing as normal but not hooking anyone to prevent suicidal quitters. Even with me leaving immediately after a down and chasing the obsession, multiple survivors required5 comments 91 views last activity

Add mini puzzles while breaking totems. Same time investment except that we need to finish before the meter fills. This would make totems more interesting and allow for something more than a simple skill check.0 comments 21 views last activity

Just tossing it out there that the emphasis on these defenses are largely out of proportion. Played several games last night trying to use these as little as possible and mainly rely on Los breaking. I'm finding pallets to be almost unnecessary.8 comments 201 views last activity

I would really like a feature or option that allows a player to scale the difficulty in exchange for a point multiplier. With such wide variations in skill (regardless of rank) it feels like matches don't get more difficult but just a more noticeable absence of mistakes on both sides.0 comments 21 views last activity

Just an opinion, but I feel like some survivors are missing the point of strong killer addons. There are alot (and even that's putting it lightly) of post declaring specific addons are to much for survivors to face. What I see wrong in this is neglect to the concept that they help reinforce the stealth aspect of the game. Not necessarily actual hiding, but the idea the the killer truelly needs to22 comments 571 views last activity

No joke, just a serious thank you. Your costly loadouts make this game so much more interesting and challenging. You allow me to test my skills in the most dangerous setting, but more than that you teach my yolo teammates not to be so casually reckless. Read there were some fixes, but sadly mistaken during play. Entity blockers are failing on all window style vaults (desks included) and bamboozling does nothing. Is there any way to edit this on a mass scale instead of going through individual vaults? Just seems like an important aspect of chase to leave exploitable, and yes survivors are making the most of it.0 comments 22 views last activity

First of Im not saying Swf should be removed from the game. Its a key aspect of desirable team play, even as a strictly solo player I can see that. I would suggest that it needs to be its own mode of play separated from the rank system or a change in how it effects ranking. Due to current matchmaking it is far to easy for rank pairing to be manipulated and exploited. A person that has proven them0 comments 52 views last activity

I find the dramatic shifts is Tr audio levels to be a real annoyance and overwhelmingly powerful as a survivor tool. I actually get overjoyed when facing killers will special Tr conditions as it helps to provide the excitement of mindgames that other killers lack. What I would like personally is; General Tr music plays softly (like Freddy's lullaby or huntresses humming) regardless of their rela1 comments 92 views last activity

Just feel like the initial basis of game balance is poorly represented to new players. They are given an illusion of gameplay that only lasts until they rank into the actual player pool. New survivors tend to believe themselves inferior to killers who are overpowered and need to avoid chase. Which usually results in slow cautious gen work and complaints toward chases. Survivor Mains can complain about camping and tunneling all they want, but I will take that any and every day compared to the sensory control survivors have over the Killer. Was just wondering how often killers see a viable/strong 3-4 gen strat. Some maps make them more common than others and rng can prevent it altogether, but do you feel they are frequent enough for yourself to address it within loadouts? Aside from doc, are there any killers you use to reinforce this strategy?7 comments 212 views last activity

I've been playing a lot of survivor lately, but all my daily rituals are coming up for killer. Not just that but the killers are ones I never play intentionally. Seems like every day its huntress, nurse or Billy. Just did a game as tier 1 Myers, multiple hooks on every survivor with zero chases. Emblems all turned out blank except gatekeeper which was bronze. Now I wasnt try to do anything besides mess around and have fun, but considering the survivors fed me a pretty good performance I was at least expecting something. I mean I didn't even get credit for the 2 hooks on everybody. So does the scoring only2 comments 52 views last activity

Service tags that can be placed on gens. Tags that can highlight gens that should not be worked on until others have been completed. I have seen so many teammates just jump on gens adjacent to one another and give killers a perfect endgame defense. I would love to lock out one gen (at the very least visually) until a better one is completed.4 comments 72 views last activity

Obsessions that had inflated egos are being treated like everyone else. So often I would see killers ignore the obsession to save wasted time against ds. Now there is no fear and its truly a 1v4. Sorry you dont have killer repellent anymore but I'm loving this.1 comments 32 views last activity

Tier 1 devour hope You had a good run my friend. Oh the wonderful surprises we gave, the hard work for a delicious payoff, the thrill of the Gamble that you would go unnoticed. But alas the developers decided you needed a buff and now on the Shelf you go, forever branded with the same value I give other hex totems. I have seen a few post/comments in support of a Chucky license and support this myself as well. That aside, one of the most common counter points I've seen is that the hooks are to tall for him to work properly. So I have a daily ritual to kill one person as Freddy. The match loads in, I find someone pretty quickly put them on their first hook and they DC. With changes to the ranking system coming, I see many claiming that it doesn't matter as there is still no reason to maintain high rank other than bragging rights. Here is a simple concept that uses features the Dev's have already created and used in the past. A reward system similar to past event grinds. 1. Just wanted to suggest adding further details on perk interactions with individual killers that fall outside the norm. I had a full 4 man swf report me for cheating because they were unaware of how their perks work against tier 1 Myers. While the one that messaged me was quiet rude, I calmly tried to explain where their assumptions were wrong and properly inform them. Sadly they would not have0 comments 12 views last activity

What's going on with maps right now? Are Dev's testing/data collecting to see if these maps need changes. Over 20 games last night and it was between the corn farms or swamp. So I'm playing killer because lobbies are so full with survive with friends I can't get in as a solo player. But in any case I don't mind paying killer, I don't care if you all have the same character, but can you switch up the Cosmetic options a little bit. I have come to a point where there is no salt or anger towards a killer that downs me right off the hook. By all rights they are just doing the most effective act to secure a win. With that said, I can honestly say survivors have killed my team caradery. This is not to say they will never change, but I've come to accept and encourage others to do so as well until a point in time when the devs make changes 1. I've seen quite a few players support the idea that you are an individual Survivor and the team concept it's only there to Aid you in your personal endeavor. This popped the idea of a joke survivor perk in mind; Faster than you: While engaged in Chase and passing near a fellow Survivor you are capable of lashing out, drawing Killer's attention to a new Target and Sprinting away. - the user tempo3 comments 72 views last activity

This is not a rant about Dev's need to do something to fix it. I only wish more people actually played killer. At this point in time I find myself trying to play more Survivor but incapable of doing so. In the limited amount of gaming I can get in a day, I don't want to waste a majority of it searching.
