  • First time i am not very excited about the music. Either change it or no unique chase music at all.

  • Please keep in mind this is not a poll to reflect your frustration with something, just try to rate the game overall. If you had a few really bad rounds, dont blame the game instantly for that ;) The same with overhyping new killers or something similar.

In its current state i would say weak.

What makes you think Dead by Daylight is one of the worse video games in the last years?

  • 9 out of 10 people that voted "yes" will actually stay. Wanna bet?

These addons you're talking about are at yellow rarity, you're always going to have them, if you don't play with addons then you are handicapping yourself for no reason

What addon do you mean? I might not be a Wraith pro, but i dont see any yellow addon that makes him any good. The only ones that are good on him are All seeing Blood, Windstorm Blood and Coxcombed Clapper.

If you mean Bone Clapper, this addon is good to scare some green ranks, but definitly not the SWFs on R1 that run over your face ;)

  • "...and we felt it was time to revisit his kit with an eye to making it less frustrating to play against him." - BHVR

I actually love versing Doctor, can anybody tell me why someone would think it is frustrating to play vs him? Beside maybe new players with less then 50 hours of course.

  • @DetailedDetriment said:

Wraith is already viable with the right perks and proficient player. Just check out Tru3.

He is viable with the best addons. You can say that about every Killer beside maybe Leatherface and Legion.

    @CLAUDETTEINABUSH said:

    Nice idea, I really believe it will put him away from the b/c tier imo. Tho you could make an add-on that says;

Instantly uncloacking after vaulting and breaking pallets

I like your input, but i dont want him to be more dependent on addons as he already is.

    @Sonzaishinai said:

Wraith has long ago left being "poor"

He has been pretty strong since his rework, people just refuse to notice for some reason and even after popular streamers showed how good he is i still see people calling him one of the worst in the game

It's kinda crazy how many people are stuck in the past

Without addons, he is trash. With the best addons, he is decent, but far from strong.

    @PotEtU said:

Windstorm needs to be base, boom. You have at least an A tier now. Not that i say wraith is bad. It just takes some time to use him effectively.

Thats also a way to buff him, but i would like to see a more creative way then just that. I always liked his unique playstyle, and the change i suggested would totally suport that.

is stranger things chapter worth it? it looks expensive. but you get 2 survivor and a killer.

It depends on what you want and expect.

The Demogorgon is a fun killer, but not quiet the strongest of the bunch and the survivors are just models. At the moment the perks are all nieche beside Inner Strenght.

If you like Stranger Things, there is nothing better then this, but if you want a high tier Killer or great perks, i would avoid this DLC.

I've just been using this to maximize BP Gain to finish getting every perk on Nurse (I'm never going to play her, I just want to have all perks on all killers, so what better time to get them for the Queen of Yawns).

What are your thoughts and opinions on it?

Yea it is a good build and you were probably a bit lucky your hexes lasted long enough.

Also, you are not allowed to show names here, change that on the screenshot.

really enjoying the game but a lot of things I don’t understand.

    1. what is the torch used for?
    2. when or how do i get to use the teachable perks on other characters?
    3. should I just focus on upgrading one character? Currently have lvl 13 meg.
    4. is there in game chat? I haven’t Heard anybody speak in about 10 games.
    1. With torch you mean the flashlight? If so, its there to blind the Killer.
    2. Selct any Survivor or Killer. On the right side there is Character Info where you can see all teachable perks on the survivor you are on. Its always on Level 30, 35 and 40. As soon as you have unlocked it on this character, it is teachable on any other one.
    3. Right now, yes. Get some perks with her first and then focus on unlocking the teachable perks of different survivors.
    4. No there is not, only before and after the game (on PC, on Console i dont think there is anything like that.

    Kind regards

PS. Also just read this guide my cousin and i made, it teaches you everything you need to know as a beginner (and up to advanced) player.

I give up. I'm done with sweaty ass matches against try hard swf's and there bs coms. Uninstalled. Needed to free up space anyway. Lemme know when you fix sounds and make the game a lil more balanced around swf's. It's getting way to stressful to play as killer now, and I don't wanna play survivor, because it's a joke. Solo players and killers are SICK of tryhard swf's. Listen to the PLAYER BASE!

I feel you, but i also think you are just really unlucky right now. According to BHVR, there is not so much SWF in this game as we think. If i remember correct, only 10% are 3 and less the 5% are 4 man teams.

  • What is a locker?

  • Never cleanse unless someone else is doing it (or when gens are done and the escape plan is obvious)

There are two main playstyles for survivor - stealth and aggressive looping. Most people tailor their build to one or the other, and there are certain perks which are considered top-tier for each playstyle. However, aggressive looping is generally considered the stronger of the two.

Spine Chill is undoubtedly part of the stealth meta, but it's not what one might call a "true" meta perk simply because stealth isn't meta. Perks like Borrowed Time, Dead Hard and Decisive Strike are considered stronger because they fit the meta playstyle of aggression and boldness. So you could say that Spine Chill is kind of like... B-tier meta.

Spine Chill is also extremly strong while looping, thats the reason most advanced people actually bring it.

Knowing when killer is mindgaming and also have the extra 6% on windows is really good in my opinion.

Topic: Not really a big change. Slowly but surely Selfcare seams to become less popular on red ranks, but thats about it. Oh yea and of course, Ballanced landing due to its nerf is pretty much gone now.

  • I would never tbag. unless the killer is very BM. I tbaged two times in my DbD lifespan, both times vs a facecamping and tunneling Bubba with red mori.

I dont regret my action even the slightest.

My personal opinion; most cosmetics are pay to lose as a survivor.

I have seen so many survivors putting colorful cosmetics, but honestly, you just make my job easier because you are so easy to find.

If you want to be stealthy,I suggest p3 Claudettes. They are either A. invisible on bushes or B. I need to see an opthalmologist.

And I doubt if it is the first one :D

Cosmetics should not give you any advantage, since this would make the game pay to win. Im glad BHVR is taking this path.

EndGameCollapse. is the worst thing on dbd. (rework that please)If the killer closes The hatch, you can't do anything, because he's going to camp the gates and you can't escape.

Huntress Hatchets hitboxes, oni's power hitboxes, spirit and freddy hitboxes need a review. freddy's hitboxes is larger than hillbilly hammer. the oni's power hit you trought the tree. huntress hatchets have a bad hitboxes, if the hatchet didn't hit you, it injuried you. review all hitboxes.

The killers are too fast i think. and the game now is too unbalanced. and a lot of survivors perk need some buff or rework.

About EGC: Its fine how it is and i see it as a good adition to the game.

Huntress Hitbox: Yes, you are 100% right with that one. More often then not, hatchet should not hit but it still does. The hitbox is insanly bad and with lag, it makes it even worse.

Freddys Lunge: Absurd because it does not fit with the model. Imagine he has a sword in his hand, then it would work.

Killer speed: They are fine, definitely not to fast.

Trapper needs one thing to make him good: start with all of his traps rather than having to travel to get them.

I say it now and i will say it again until some frustrated Trapper mains will stop with this:

If Trapper starts with all his traps, he will be overpowered, and not just a little bit.

You guys often forget how much this would interrupt the ballance of him.

    @Rivyn said:

    Is it because survivors complained?

Seriously, though, why? He's not THAT weak, at least compared to older killers. Wraith, Trapper, and Clown, for instance, could all use a pick me up, yet they've been in the dust bin for years. Is it simply because survivors are okay with their mediocrity, and devs are fine with that? Do they devs simply have no idea what to do, or not care?

The reason they change the Doctor instead of Trapper is super simple. The Trapper is the most played killer by far, has a good winrate and is overall the most enduring killer. Why would you wanna risk that?

  • @BugReporte said:

Is franklin's demise a good perk in the lower ranks? I hate getting gen rushed and I even hate it more when everyone leaves threw hatch. Ik it's annoying for the survivors but I mean half the time I get flashed when picking up someone and when they constantly spam it, they make wanna scream.

There are better perks then Franklins, but go for it if you feel like it. Normally, perks like Pop, Ruin or corrupt are better to slow down the game but if you see 4 toolboxes, take Franklins into consideration.

  • @HellDescent said:

99% of people I verse on ps4 on weekends are swf, maybe thats why

Its not just survivors, its also on killer side. 5 Games as survivor so far, all vs best addons (iri head two times), 3x red mori and everybody was tunneling and camping, not a single exception.

As killer it was also kind painful, not on the level of playing survivor, but still..

The thing is, its always at the weekend for me, never during week. And yes, i guess you are all riight with saying this might be since kids are playing. A shame..

Can we please stop using the word fan in an argument when it is a subjective matter.

As a survivor I quite enjoyed seeing Moris now I don't like being morried off my first Hook but if I'm on death hoom and I get morried it's actually more enjoyable than being hooked.

You are not the grand jury on what is fun or not.

Especially when you boil down and problem like disconnecting to change your play style because you're not playing fun enough.

You have no control over why people choose to disconnect and it could range from a number of it valid or stupid reasons.

People can disconnect because they don't like x Killer map or perk.

If you like playing Leatherface for example but some disconnect because they don't like going up against leatherfaces does that mean you're forced to no longer play Leatherface because change your play style if you don't want disconnections

Sure you are right with the thing that you cant make it right for everyone, thats probably impossible, but still you can try it at least. I am really not a big fan of this "I do what i want because i can" bs mentality that absoluty does not lead us and especially him anywhere... as we can see.

I am not going into depth here, since i am not in the mood of a "Do what you like" vs "Do what you and everyone else likes" discussion that is that paradox as this one. Also i am not expecting any approval and i am not even trying, since unfortunatly a compromise is for many people a word they have never heard of.

I played 1 month with spine chill, and I realize after 1 month that spine chill is bad.

It doesn't fit with my gameplay, and is a perk for blind people (lol)

Once you have some good hours on the game you can use your ears and eyes to predict where the killer is coming from, is just a waste slot for me.

Still, see some people saying "spine chill is S tier" lmao.

    Hello

Spine Chill is not that useful you say? Good, i hope more people have that opinion, the less people know how good it is the better for me ;).

The only thing i say is that you clearly have no idea how much potential this perk has when you really have to ask "how should spine chill help you looping the killer". The same with "those 6% are nothing" trolololo

If this game was any competetive, everyone would run spine chill, even in 4 man teams and it would be the first banned perk in every match.

Seriously man, dont take that now personally please but do you really come here to complain about complaining people...?

If people dc on you all the time and it bothers you, change your playstyle?

It almost never happens to me that someone DCs, i try to play fair and that it is fun for everyone. A red mori is not fun for anybody (not even for the killer) so i dont use it.

I just recently got the Halloween Chapter and I'm planning to got decisive strike in all my survivors.

My actual build is self care, borrowed time, balanced landing and Unbreakable. I want to replace some of these perks for decisive strike but I actually don't know which perk.

I listened in a lot of forums that self care is actually useless and just a completely waste of time and it's not worthy at all (I play solo most of times btw)

Any suggestions of which perk to replace for decisive strike? I would appreciate it

Definitly for Selfcare. Its not totally "useless" per se, but a medicore perk at best. Most people run it because of bad habit.

DS and Unbreakable is a very strong combo and borrowed time is overall one of the best perks in DbD. I dont know about Ballanced Landing, i would rather use Dead Hard, Sprintburst or Lithe, but if BL is the exhaustion perk you are most confortable with, go for it.

  • Enduring

    Spirit Fury

    Ruin/Pop

    BBQ

works for me on R1 perfectly fine.

If it HAS to be one of those you listed, i would go with Pop Goes The Weasel, Save The Best For Last, Sloppy Butcher and Nurse’s Calling

  • I will get it again, if it costs 1500. I should get the ammount back from the current rift so it does not really matter.

"I had so much fun sitting on gens the whole game" - I've been saying it all along that this kills the game. But some attitudes here are baffling: you won, you got BPs, you got pips... Wake up people! Those are just numbers and they are not in your bank account! If it's not fun, than the game dies, it's really that simple :/

By saying that i ment that the Killer who was rank 12 did not even had the slightest chance against the survivor, it was extremly boring for me. I dont want to play vs Rank 12 Killers and i doubt a rank 12 wants to verse me.

    That's outright false.

Tomes DO NOT GO AWAY. EVERYONE will be able to finish it.

Challenges are challenges. Something extra to do for a small bonus. Not something you HAVE to do ASAP or you miss out on XYZ reward.

Tying it to the RIFT is causing all this nonsense.

What do you mean? Rift is closing in 8 days it says... you might get those challanges, but you wont get the awards of the current rift, right?

  • I like that they added these tomes, but i have some points to criticise

    • Way to little time for most people. If you are not playing this game a lot, there is 0% chance you will finish all of it.
    • Some challanges are way to easy, some are way to hard. Compare the "Do 2 generators" and the "Finish 4 Gens in one trial". This point...
    • ... leads me to the benefits. Harder challanges do not feel more rewarding then easy challanges.

Those are my main complains, i guess most people feel similar to me and i hope devs learn from that. Anyway, good job so far :)

  • She is not, she is also the best killer on console. Just because most people are bad with her wont make Nurse weak or anything.

Red rank Ghostface/Myers main actually. Youre really bad at insulting since i think spirit is probably the hardest killer to use save Nurse, and if you were just saying it because shes also one of the strongest….why not say nurse? Exactly silly now back to making you look dumb

Adapt Ghostface, Myers, Demo, Spirit, Oni, Demo, Trapper, Wraith, Doctor, Freddy, Clown, and Legion. How many you got again? Oh none....well how many killer challenges you got done?....oh. Damn its almost like you dont play killer at all, probably why you made the weird insult about being a spirit main. Also probably why you dont want to talk about it and instead coming with them them weak ass insults and racism like its gonna hurt my feelings or something lol

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/954770#Comment_954770

Deadhard is not that hard to use, its probably the hardest but even if you dont use to dodge a hit you can use it for distance to a pallet or window which would be more useful than bond or iron will, plus again you gotta learn sometime. But before i even really touched survivor i played killer so i already understood most perks, so maybe it wouldn't be the best for new survivors.....but i really dont think most people would have a hard time grasping it.

Also i was referring to the fact that you didn't read my post, made more apparent by the fact that youre telling me i can get purple, when i started getting matched will all browns and yellows i was purple. The issue isn't my rank its everyone elses

Recommending a new DbD player a perk like DH is like recommending a new chess player the najdorf variation of the sicilian defense when he is not even able to find check mates in 2. Its like puting the candles in the eggs first when you want to bake a birthday cake. You expect way to much of those people and a perk like this would completly overwhelm them. There will be the time they will learn this, but defniitly not when you are on a "brown skill level".

I absolutly read your posting, and i see the issue. It is known that the matchmaking right now is (again) not working fine for some reason. The only thing you can do now is to get out of green, thats it... unfortunatly. And there is for a solo player no better way to do so then i have described to you.

  • Not another SC Thread.. :D

They run selfcare and now they are all dead. And i do not even need a screenshot for knowing that.

    I AM PURPLE. RED KILLER.

Honestly you did the exact same thing the people trash talking did by not reading my post but at least you were positive about it lol

TBH tho bad advice, i wouldn't recommend iron will or even bond to low rank survivors because youre going to have to level up for both anyway, you might as well go for deadhard or sprint burst (which i know are harder to use properly but i mean you gonna learn sometimes.) Then again i was red rank as killer before i even touched survivor and had a basic understanding of perks going in so maybe not.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/954706#Comment_954706

I finished the challenges except for dark sense. I get the feeling since you took what i said about survivor challenges out of context you probably haven't so instead of explaining how the healing challenges or the blinding challenges do not help the team imma just flex.

Even more reason to flex because you ended your post with "Everyone knows the matchmaking is broken" which is very different from what you were saying before so ig you just read my post, thank you thats all i ask

Well, i gave you the advice to rank up so you get better teammates. Whats wrong with that? The Perks i recommanded you are perfect for that purpose, i did this with "Elo Hell" people before, and everyone instantly ranked up with no problemo. You will be at purple and higher in no time, and while the current matchmaking problem still excists, it wont bother you anymore.

Also, DH to a new player? Are you joking with that one? If it has to be an exhaustion perk, the best one is by far Lithe.

1 … 58 59 60 61 62 … 72
