I'd say report it.
Record it and report it. Its an extremely toxic behavior that cannot be done "accidentally".
Speaking on the subject of mori spamming.. @Peanits, could you forward that Mori's should instantly happen when you press the "kill" button? Like, without a bar you need to fill in order to initiate the kill animation. This miniscule change would remove mori spamming in a heartbeat and improve the health of the game.

Surely you meant Slender Man?

Yeah it’s a shame it’s a bug they’re going to fix, rather than an intended feature. I liked seeing it pop up if a survivor was a newbie, so I knew who to try and look out for during the match.
Its so very Behavior, though.

I wouldnt mind the difficult challenges. I just don't want the luck based ones like the EGC challenges.
This is exactly what most people had issues with.

But the current problems seem to originate from every one doing the challenges and, by proxy, the rift. So it seems to me that there is an interest from the comunity. If there where only like 25% of players interested there woun´t be this massiv problem. And if they just wanted to make money they could just have sold those skins seperatly. I argue that they could have made more money this way, without giving auracells back and nobody would have complained.
If they weren't planning on making money on the Rift, they'd not have allowed players to buy tiers. This one single feature show Behavior's intention behind the Rift. Combine that with the immense grind required to actually get enough fragments to complete the Rift itself, and their actions are speaking for themselves.
They hope that people give into buying tiers to complete the Rift.

Don't disrespect The Clown. He's an awesome Killer!
He really isn't and the stats show it.

Would have been nice if they had listened to the feedback the first time. :/
That'd have been sick, wouldn't it?
I wonder if they plan on change Level 4 as well, or if they're just gonna edit Level 3 and leave it at that. Might have to complain a bit more when Level 4 releases, if that's the case. One would hope Behavior learns eventually.

I'm pretty sure he meant rift fragments, not shards.
The graph you gave is XP table for devotion and how many shards you get per devotion level (1-99).
About XP, you can indeed get more than 800, but its only twice per day.
First, XP is capped per match at around 580 and that cap is reached at 10 minute mark, as thats how you get main XP portion, besides the silly emblem bonus that is what... Around 16 max?
Each day, you get a bonus of 300 XP by playing each role, this means you can get around 880 (or 850, doesnt matter) XP per match + worthless emblem bonus twice, netting you 1700 XP for 2 games (as long as you capped the XP, which means you played both rpunda for 10 minutes or more).
AFAIK, in order to get 1 rift fragment through exp, you need at least 16 games (avg od 500 XP per game), and that takes just over 2,5 hours per day of pure gameplay, not including any lobby time.
You dont need to play that much either, due to tomes giving you a big portion of lvls anyway.
Rift level, you mean? A fragment is earned one every other game, more or less.

I know it's hard sometimes, but have hope. It's better to have hoped, than not hope at all :)
Its easier to be pleasantly surprised when you're expecting the worst all the time.
-
Its not that they're too difficult, its more like they're waaay too RNG dependant and causes players to literally throw games in order to achieve them.. which isn't healthy for the game.
I glad to see that they're changing stuff but I fully expect to be disappointed once again, though.

@Zender said:
Tome was meant to be this additional thing you can do to earn cosmetics along with the Rift but it's taken over every aspect of the game. People play like lunatics.
The Tome wouldn't have been that bad if it wasn't connected to the Rift because the challenges within wouldn't be as bullshit, since it would only want some player interaction as they unlock lore and have fun.
But since they hooked the two things up.. the Archives took a beaten in order to stop players from "beating" it so that they'd rush through the Rift. Cannot have players complete the Rift. There's no value in that.

Tome 4 is bound to be even BETTER!

If I have to use an exhaustion perk, there's only one perk that works for a Dwight main like me.

Yea the grind does feel like a bit much but I'm tier 42 so it's going ok for me
Only at 21 or something. I don't play enough. That said, I've played far more than 21 hours since the release of the Rift so the whole "an hour per day" garbage the developers pulled is a lie.
-
- Pick more than one challenge at any one time.
- Less RNG based challenges (some survivor ones in particular are borderline impossible as a Solo survivor).
- Challenges based upon a previous one but with a higher requirement to complete should also reward more.
- @Aven_Fallen@Aven_Fallen's suggestion here is actually super interesting. Two different versions of each challenge, one that be beaten fast with skill or completed over time through grind.
Make two types of Challenges for each pile of BPs and Rift Fragments. One skilled one and a grindy one. Example for skilled one: Hook 12 Survivors in a single Trial. Or Grind one: Hook 30 Survivors. So people who are not as good at the game can go for the grindy path while people who play the game a lot and have lots of experience do not need to grind, but can get it done by playing good.
-
I would be saving BP if I wasn't so downed from the whole Rift and challenge grind. It has really murdered much of my interest in the game.
Eh, whatever. Oni's due for a nerf on release anyway. Its a tradition at this point.
-
Probably not. They cannot time it with another Rift.

really, lets just pretend that each issue that Sairek listed was a small fire.
not too unrealistic in a metaphorical sense.
so there's a small fire in our kitchen, we tell bhvr about it, they respond with
"we're aware of a minor fire in the kitchen, we will monitor the situation and get back to you."
then you proceed to tell them about another fire and they send back the same generic response.
then someone else points out a third fire, and yet again, they passively address the situation and ultimately ignore it.
at what point does "hey guys, there's a small fire you might want to address." turn into "HOLY HELL, THE WHOLE HOUSE IS ON FIRE!! SEND HAAALP!" ???
we've been communicating with them for months upon months upon years about a variety of issues, but they would rather devote their time to some obnoxious pay-wall grind fest of a battlepass than to fix the myriad of issues that their playerbase actually gives a flying ######### about...
I may not uninstall the game, but you can forget getting another dime from me until bhvr gets its act together and starts treating its playerbase better.
BS lies are outright unacceptable.
This video sums out Behavior's priorities since a long while back. As long as people buy skins and DLCs and battle pass tiers, player opinion and game be damned.

@Fibijean said:
The devs don't exclusively listen to community complaints, let alone survivor complaints, when making balance decisions. There's a lot more that goes into the process than that. So this strategy wouldn't work, even if you could get every killer main to agree with you and follow it through.
They have caved in to survivors' review bombing in the past, though. There's not enough killers to make an impact on that front.
-
@Fibijean said:
The devs might be more inclined to listen to our feedback if we make an honest attempt at the challenges before writing them off as ridiculous or impossible.
It takes a fair amount of time, and a lot of work for the data team, to compile those stats. Yes, it would be nice if we got more detail, but they're trying to do their best since the stats are so highly requested. You seem to be forgetting that they are under zero obligation to show us any of the data they have collected at all.
And they can't make everyone happy with their balance changes. They do their best to take feedback on board, but ultimately there's a lot more that goes into those decisions than just player opinions. I'm sorry you were disappointed, but there are always going to be things the devs do in the game that you don't agree with. It's just not realistic to expect otherwise.
Shouldn't people just throwing their hands up in the air and not bothering count as data gathering, though?
-
Its a grindfest in order to motivate people to open their wallets out of frustration.
Fear of Missing Out is surely bound to catch a few players desperately throwing money at the screen in order to finish it before time runs out.
-
I've stopped caring about the Archive and the Rift thanks to Tome lvl 3. I remember how people defended the leaks with the claims that they're gonna be placeholders, that Behavior would never pull through with something this ridiculous..
I'll get access to that Lore via Youtube or the Wiki instead, thanks very much.

Nurse gave me motion sickness and I stopped playing Spirit when audio broke a way back and you couldn't hear anything as a Killer.
So I guess, yes?

I checked the various challenges and went "urgh" and exited the game.
######### the archive and ######### the rift. Just gonna take part of the unlockable Lore through Youtube videos or through the wiki.

Every DC after the first each day should be punishable.. in some manner. Preferably a timer that stops you from entering a lobby until after some time has passed.
Why not the first one as well? Because sometimes Life happens and you need to go.

A list of factors that the stats provided do not show or take into account:
- Perks used
- Add-ons used
- Whether the Killer piped or not
- Whether there was a SWF group present or not
- Whether the Hag prefers Cheddar or Fondue
- What map the match was being played on
- How familiar the player is with a particular Killer
- What items the Survivors have taken
- Does Dwight like pineapple on his pizza
- What events are currently running
- And many more
Not to mention that all the stats apart from Nurse's own graph are a combination of all platforms. Not all platforms treat their killer the same.
-
No matter what theory, the fact that the statistics we got was a messy combination of all platforms renders a lot of its value pointless. Apart from the extremes, I guess. Clown's performing bad on all platforms.
-
It'd have to be Springtrap if anyone of them had to be picked.
But in general, I put FNAF in the same category as those edgy creepypasta monsters.. Slender Man and the like. I hope we never see them introduced into the game.
-
The thing about the stats they gave us is that its a mess of statistics from all platforms, merged into one. The only thing you can take for granted are the extremes (strongest/weakest) since its coherently the same across all platforms.
-
Most killers really need QoL buffs and changes, rather than full-blown reworks.
The killer that's in the most dire need of a rework is probably Legion and a proper rework this time.. a barrage of nerfs and calling it a rework.

End game chat was the worst idea they ever came up with.
How hard would it be to just have a permanent disable that did not have to be re enabled every time you boot the game?
But it doesn't re-enable itself for me and I've had it "disabled" for ages?
-
I gave the Labor of Love reward to Monster Hunter World, myself. Behavior seem to have forgotten the community in favor of monetization is almost all its forms. We're basically only missing raw pay-2-win and lootboxes at this point.
Meanwhile, the developers of MHW decided, based upon popular request, to let players use previously obtained pieces of armor as Layered Armor (cosmetic layer, replacing the current armor's looks) on a fairly short notice.
There's a massive difference between the developers of the two games in terms of how they treat their game and their community.

ironically, This was the post that made me feel like I needed too speak about how pointless the stats are.
Its pointless to give us statistics that's a combination of all platforms splattered together. It should be PER platform.
At least the extremes tell somewhat a truth, in that a weak killer perform bad across all platforms. Clown buff when?
-
Favorite is Clown, follow ups being Trapper and Doctor. I used to play a lot of Spirit and Nurse.
-
Being intentionally toxic in order to fight toxicity isn't the way to go. Negativity only breeds more negativity.

Its the devs in a nutshell, if you ask me.

Nah.
LF is the weakest killer.
The thing is Clown is kinda hard to play, but even if you play him well he'll never be a great killer.
Not according to the developers' latest stats.
Clown's the overall weakest killer in the game and THE worst killer in red ranks.

The sad thing and most infuriating thing is that instead of acknowledging that she is barely better than Clown and Demo, all we get is the same equivocating BS that Legion mains were fed.
Except I think Nurse mains are gonna have to wait a couple decades before they ever decide she's worth addressing.
Honestly I don't know what the devs think a successful rework looks like. Freddy was a successful rework. In fact I'd say with these stats you could make an argument he was too successful. Nurse was an abject dumpster fire of a rework. Nurse mains hate it and think it's unfun, the stats show it hurt her like a ton of bricks.
Honestly, what more does BHVR need? Does Nurse herself need to come flying out of the screen and Mori Peanits in front of the dev team to convince them she needs help?
..speaking of infuriating..
@Peanits, why did you (not like you-you) merge all the statistics (apart from Nurse's own) from each platform into one bloody mess? No platform treats their killers the same, so merging all of them together screws up the end result.
There's a reason why people don't take Behavior as a whole seriously. Why memes like "pretty good job" and such run rampant.
