You won't get one.
It'll be added to the list of bugs and it'll be fixed, it depends on how bad the bug is when it'll be fixed.
This teleports Survivors to the most dangerous spot on the map, so it shouldn't take too long, but you never know...
Every time this happens I'm just gonna keep adding the video to this thread so I can compile all the bad memories.
-
I reported it as a bug problem but I haven't gotten a response?

And another one, so now two. I also have a third that isn't uploaded and this has been happening since the Blight release.

Here's another one from a later game.

Unavailable video.
I have no idea if this link will be better but I hope so.

I now have a video to show what I'm experiencing:
-
See the answers I'm already getting to this thread are exactly why I asked.

I bring kindred if I'm playing solo period. Kindred, Spine Chill, Exhaustion perk, fill (usually small game) is my normal set up. Also bring a med-kit, can't rely on randoms to heal you.
Do you just farm your bloodweb for medkits and find them in chests? Serious question because I never get them so my solution is iron will or healing perk.

It's actually pretty good and has lost me a killer or two when I messed around with it. The issue with perks like this is that without things like pairing it with Nancy's Fixated you can't really tell exactly how well it is working for you so it feels less impactful for most people.
From the killer perspective it's usually more annoying to deal with Iron Will in most cases though for the "anti-tracking" type of perks like this.
So what you're saying is... I should pair Lightweight and Iron Will... 👀
-
This is the most accurate thread I've ever seen.
-
I just want to say that as someone who doesn't use exhaustion perks, my chases don't end very quickly at all.
-
1.) Have a custom setting with bots, i.e. for practice for killer powers
2.) Make Kindred basekit
3.) Fix the ranking system so that it's actually a relevant mechanic; I like something to work for
-
As a survivor main--
I like when the killer is considerate enough to give someone the hatch/gate when there are DC's or suicides
I enjoy prolonged chases
...But I also enjoy when they walk straight past me while I'm crouching in the shadows.
I dislike being downed right after an unhook. Or if I'm playing against a pig, when they go for me even though I already have a hat on.
-
I really like that it's a feature but I'm always wondering whether I should break the wall because it gives the survivors other routes.
-
Ope, apparently I can't delete this thread and make it a poll instead, my bad.

A gen, a totem, a safe unhook, a heal and two chases. That's what you need, give it take a bit. It's what I got for, and I rank up like crazy. Been using Fixated/SB/Inner Strength/Kindred.
You don't find it jarring at all to go without Iron Will? (Iron Will has always been my crutch.) It seems off to me to let the killers hear me being injured ifI can help it.

Maybe they don't count coughing as a grunt of pain. God I actually miss going against plague. Haven't seen one in over 7 months
I'm playing her right now 8)

I definitely get on killer to be nice every once in a while just to remind the player base that there are decent killers out there.
-
I'm pretty sure it's the character breathing while idle.
-
I have to try that first one. You don't find all the yellow auras everywhere distracting?

I have Resilience too, so if I can 99 it, then I will. Also with the math provided by @Slashstreetboy above, I'm now technically faster with resilience!
My post "Confessions of a Self-Care User" cover why I personally use it, but basically it comes down to me not being able to rely on teammates.
Every time I see you post and realize how much we agree on I like you a little more.
EDIT: Do you use Self Care/Botany/Desperate/Resilience?
-
@gatsby said:
Self-Care is totally fine if you have Botany Knowledge or Desperate Measures. As long as you camp the nearest pallet and try to waste as little time getting the heal off as possible.
But yeah self-care without a combo perk and hiding to use it blows.
Or both. Both is almost godly.
-
I'm trying to learn killer in GENERAL so I feel you on this.

@PigMainClaudette said:
If you want. Personally I'd be fine with just getting them to level 50 and getting all possible perks on them.
In the 4 years since this game started has there been any hint that tiering your characters as survivor or killer has had any actual advantage? Besides the ones we know don't work xD
-
Please let me farm. I love playing with killers that let me farm. <3
-
I love the aesthetic but it is way too dark for play, at least for my eyes

At least you'll have easier games for a while I suppose 🤷♂️
That's true!

Why? How does color of that icon affect your enjoyment of game play?
It feels oddly demoralizing to see it go from a deep rich purple to a slightly washed out yellow or green, and then you have to go "earn it" again if it matters to you to do so.
-
Did it go quickly enough that it was worth it though? I've been wanting to try that build.
-
I have never bought a set for Meg and I'm not gonna start now. The best way to handle her cosmetics is mix and match imo.

Only when necessary, not as a beginning strat
Can you explain at what time it would be necessary as a strat? Do you mean like during endgame?

I'm also a bot. Love swamp.
-
Been wondering the same as a survivor 'cause we get them too. I'm saving it for those times when my team announces where we're going in the lobby and I reeeeeally don't like the map.
-
Personally I don't see Min (Feng) as straight; I see her as bi leaning towards men but not straight.
And I don't know why but Felix strikes me as straight up gay.
-
I feel you. All week it seems like I've been getting left on hook til struggle phase to the point where I've been considering bringing deliverance.

You'll have to record your game manually, Dead by Daylight doesn't record games itself.
Just to be clear, what you're saying is I'll have to record the game, clip it to find the error, etc on my own, and then submit it in a bug report?
-
But for real the dream world is *way too dark*

If you believe in your ability to loop the killer, then you don’t really need a exhaustion perk, and it’s good to play without exhaustion perks to improve you skills as a survivor.
Nonetheless it’s still a perk and you can use it, those kinds of perks just increase your chances at living.
See that's the thing I picked up dead hard and now I feel like I use it as a crutch! Ugh. I find it hard to unequip now. But I have to admit it does extend my chases.
-
My usual move is to just walk out into the open and stare at him. Most killers I do this to will give me the hatch. A lot of the time that behavior is more of a power play type deal, they want you to know that they won. So, by just walking out into the open and acknowledging it, I get the hatch.
-
See I'm always told "It's the best exhaustion perk in the game, use it!" and so I do, and then.... that.

It pretty much negates self care slowdown doesn't it?
Pretty much! Even if it's just yourself injured that's 97% Self Care speed o: Not to mention anyone else on your team!
-
It really feels that way doesn't it? Maybe it's just that kind of day.
-
I have to agree, every map I'm on my mouth just drops.
-
Any opinions on Kindred vs. Bond for a soloq build? I don't really want to run both lol
-
That's me with iron will. Just can't do it.
-
Speaking as a survivor main who doesn't run any of these perks -- the only reason I even CONSIDER equipping any of them (mainly DS) is because I've had a streak of bad games, and I start thinking "maybe I'll have better games with this on." Even a lot of streamers put it that way. When you watch their videos and they equip DS they say "If the killer tunnels me..."
That's the thing though is that these perks are reactionary; you expect the killer to play that way hence you equip those perks. I'm not trying to put this on any one side, and I do think that that build is OP, but only if the killer plays into it if that makes sense.

I've seen this behavior across lots of survivors to be honest - they brought an item into the trial and could be doing anything at all but will gravitate to a loot box 99% of the time anyway.
@ringwinning @Player35 I actually had an idea for Zarina or Yui going for super idealistic altruistic plays like rushing a killer picking someone up or a survivor just as he goes down... even if it dooms the rest of the team. "If only the rest of the team drank the Kool-aid like we did then we would've been saved together."
That's terrifyingly accurate actually.

No stereotype of Zarina players but good God, is she whiny when hurt/hooked
can confirm; there's a reason I use IW on her.
