So in other words instead of risking noed or knowing where the hatch was (I saw the offering lol) he decided to be a jerk what system play on? If PS4 wanna try a few games together could use a helping hand with the escape though gate after doing last gen alone trophy
Basically!
That would be awesome but unfortunately I'm on PC. Good luck on the trophies tho!

Wow sorry man was it first hook or near endgame?
Total endgame, he had the door open and he had a key too but he just waited by the door for me to die. RIP. I did have fun with the build though!

Dark Sense, Inner Strength, Kindred, Urban Evasion. It's a stealth build, so don't get too uppity in the killer's face unless you can juke well and without perks geared toward that goal.
Almost made it out! We had a 2v1 going on and the Freddy finally cornered me :c But one of us got out!

Cheers for trying it out.
What are your thoughts on the build ? How did it play out ?
I actually thought it was lovely! Won't lie, I was nervous without Iron Will, but turns out I can trust my teammates a lot more than I thought I could. :) That and Leader makes healing faster; I think I'll definitely be using that one more in the future! It kinda helped that the GF wasn't focusing on me, I'm not sure how it'd play out if he was lol.

Here's one of my favorite builds:
- Better together
- Leader
- Prove Thyself
You can use an exhaustion perk for your 4th slot. My teamwork build. I personally use Dead Hard.
- Teammates know what gen you're working on, essentially knowing where one their teammates are and can come there to repair or heal themselves.
- Fast repair speed, very nice for early pressure on gens or end-game pressure when trying to finish a gen or get out of a 3-gen situation. Also nice if there's thana in the play or any gen-slowdown.
- Prove Thyself is very nice for maxing out objective point super fast. This can come in handy if you got chased the entire game or healed for a majority of it.
- You can get fast heals with leader from other teammates
- While trying to reset with 2 other injured survivos, you can do it super fast due to leader
- Totems go vrooooom
- Leader is super nice at the end for the exit gate. Very nice for clutch moments and can tank a hit from the killer while your other teammates opens the door.
- A teammate going down, you can see the auras of all survivors and know where the killer is for 10 seconds ONLY if you're currently on a gen.
- Teammates can decide to bring the killer elsewhere if they see the yellow aura, or.... bring him to you... that's also a thing.
- Leader is pretty darn nice against Sloppy and Thana when it comes to healing.
- Fast unhooks, fast heals, get back on gen, boom, done.
When the mid-chapter hits:
This will be my build
- Dead Hard
- Inner Strength
- Borrowed Time
- We\re gonna life forever.
Teamwork made the dream work!

Here is one I really like:
Gen expert:
Visionary
Open Handed
Prove Thyself
Better Together
Visionary is slowly becoming one of my favourite perks, it really made it easier to spot a middle gen and find gens fast in indoor maps.
The idea of this build is to get into a gen you would like to finish first (a middle one perhaps) and you other teammates will be able to locate that gen and come help you. I sometimes switch PT with Built to Last and equip a toolbox. If you are ni red ranks you can use Repressed Alliance instead to counter pop but I was deranked to green rank with the rank reset so I'm not facing a lot of pop users there.
Or try this build:
Nurse is here
We'll Make It
Kindred
Aftercare
You are a Nurse on a mission to save the other survivors, after unhooking them heal them with WMI and AC will help them locate you whenever they require a patch up.
The forth perk slot changes depending on the games I get
Tunneled? DS
Looped? DH
Or I run Distortion so I can safely get the hooked victims without BBQ ruining it
Oh and you need Lisa to play with that build, it's a must.
Have fun :D
I have Lisa but she doesn't have all those perks, so I used your first build. Win!
-
I'd use alert lol

Mettle of Man, Tenacity, No mither
If you are in a SWF, use Dead hard
If solo, use empathy.
Bring a map offering for the corn map, or any indoor map, or yamoka.
take a protection hit for a carried survivor, and then tenacity away. The maps listed above should give you a better shot of just crawling away, never to be seen again.
I did manage to pick myself back up once after a protection hit 😄

I remember thinking Iron Will was some kind of active ability I needed to press a button for and being frustrated when I couldn't find the button.
-
A build I had fun with was Desperate Measures, Kindred, Self Care, and BT.

pats you on the back as I equip spine chill and iron will

You sound like me when it comes to killers. And since you sound like me, I would say go with GF, stay away from Oni. I tried him yesterday and unfortunately didn't have fun.

Agreed. I used to adore her. I mean I still do, but watching all of this is just making me want to tear my hair out.

I run Blood Pact as a staple. It's one of my favorite perks because it fills the slot of a useful Aura perk and an Obsession perk to protect against no one running Decisive
That's a brilliant idea! I run For the People on some of my builds to fill the obsession slot.

I'm solo, and you generally want builds that help you solo because you have zero idea what kind of situation you're going into. Aura perks tell you what's going on, but do not help your ability to do something about it.
So what you're saying is that you don't use them? What would be an example of your loadout?
-
@ZCerebrate said:
He wants that Open Handed value. Honestly saw the same trend on meta things but I basically live off on Bond in solo queue... assumption is people just team up and voice comms?
You were the one that sold me on Bond so now I run it all the time but I'm looking at these forums and wondering exactly how many people are solo and how many are SWF? Because if people are going solo without aura perks isn't that a little odd...
-
-
I think I'm beginning that process. I remember when I first started playing this game I wouldn't even look at the killer icon. Then I started gradually glancing at it, then doing the dailies, then picking up Spirit, and now I'm grinding for the "most necessary" killer perks.
I'm getting there, slowly but surely.
-
I respect that you did that but you didn't already see that from the survivor side watching your teammates? xD I don't do any of the bad stuff ( in fact I'm nice to my killers and I haven't ever even teabagged my bad ones ) but there's some ######### survivors out there. I recently picked up killer and have noticed some of the same things.
-
I both love the map and hate it. I love it because it's different, but I hate it because it hurts my eyes (literally, the white is really bright on my screen.)

Well thank you for your sacrifice lol. To be fair, i think most killers could care less about a key brought in at the start of the match.
For me losing because someone found a pink key in a chest when Ive been busting my hump and finally gotten to a good spot where i can have a hope of winning irks me to no end.
I'm a baby killer without Franklin's and every time I see a key in the lobby I can physically feel myself droop a little. Now I understand why killers burn those broken coins.

Sadly, this is wrong. The Object dictates whether the auras will be revealed, the Killer has no input on that.
Killers hate it for several reasons.
It gives constant information to the whole team (SWF) about who/where the Killer is, what the Killer is doing at all times. This can lead to games where every gen you approach is abandoned or at least the survivor has a 10-20 second headstart in chase. Move to the next gen, same thing.
On certain maps Object teams have to throw unbelievably hard to be in any danger, Midwich being the worst offender.
It works as a budget spine chill against undetectable Killers. Experienced survivors will be able to make a good guess whether the Killer is approaching them since the perk icon will still show you the approximate location of the Killer despite not revealing their aura. This is especially true for when none of their teammates are in chase.
If the Killer decides to go for the object, not only will the object know beforehand but usually be in a position where it is either easy to hide or disgustingly op tiles will be present.
Some people claim SWF could have a team member follow the Killer around to call out their actions, costing them 1 Survivor on gens.Object of Oppression removes the need to do so, everyone can work on gens and be safe at all times.
Certain Killers get completely destroyed (Trapper, Hag, Freddy, Myers to an extend) to a degree where it´s kinda pointless to continue playing.
Object widens the gap between solo and SWF since solos don´t profit that extremely from the perk.
Object has no downside. As stated before, the user can control whether they want to put themselves at risk. More often than not they will lurk in a safe position where if the Killer were to give chase the tile setup would lead to an auto loss for all Killers but Nurse.
I´ve played DBD for a long time but haven´t encountered an Object abuser that wouldn´t BM.
I´ve made a post on OoO and why it is too strong. Even some die hard Survivor mains admit it´s broken af in a SWF. It´s baffling to me why it´s still in the game. No perk a Killer could bring comes even remotely close to the power level of Object, apart from maybe NOED on the worlds best Nurses.
Other people but also me tried to get a member of the DEV team to give a statement on Object. They choose not to address the issue for whatever reason.
You may have guessed it but I hate it with a passion. I´m guilty of retaliating against Object users, sometimes by slugging them and camping them till they bleed out or DC. If I knew beforehand I´d bring a Mori every time someone equips Object ( I have stashed literally hundreds of ebony Moris across my Killers since I use them extremely rarely).
Thanks for clarifying! (@Rivyn too) As a baby killer this is good info to have but as a survivor main I am so sorry for your frustration tbh.
-
@Rivyn said:
We've become accustomed to knowing that OoO is a SWFs break and butter when they want to be toxic. See OoO? Automatically assume it's either a toxic group, or a group of sweat lords.
Plus, I don't like it's broken state. The killer can only see the OoO user if said user is looking at them, but the OoO user can see the killer no matter their position? It's stupid.
Can you clarify? I thought the OoO user had to be looking directly at the killer to see the aura.
-
Same question honestly. I would have thought they would like it since it's a trade off right? Both can see each other's auras.
-
I have been thoroughly documenting every single time I've teleported across the map when I play thanks to youtube. I feel your pain.

You have to access the option from the main menu. Once you are in a lobby as killer or survivor the option will be greyed out.
Thanks!

If you do, don't share them here.
These forums won't allow anyone to share names that could start negativity towards them, even if they're clearly hacking.
I wouldn't, just maybe list them as the titles for the files of the videos on my computer for my reference I guess? Or put them in the youtube description?
-
PC player here —for some reason I'm unable to turn off crossplay, like the option is greyed out?
-
Maybe I should start recording the killer names @Boss since you thought maybe it could be a hack?
