No it is 0 bp. Hence the exploit. Read the damn thread. I'm not going to say how they're doing it since I got a warning for doing that, but they are doing it by doing something other than normally leaving the match. It's 0 bp.

And your BP and you actually do lose BP the next time you log in.

Camping REALLY needs to be addressed with both an emblem and BP loss that is flashed on the screen. Do you think the campers actually read patch notes? No they don't. Flash that ######### on the screen and then make it their choice. -100 bp and -1% emblem every 3 seconds bright and visible on the screen.
And to the people claiming camping is a strat, then I guess we should remove crows over players in one spot too long right? Hiding is the same as camping. It's annoying and serves no purpose other than to be bad.

The point is that this change affects killers who want to play in a toxic way, I don't give a crap if I'm winning a match, I won a match if the SWF feels like their time was cheated away from them.
and that's fine if you want to play like that, but don't cry when there are changes to balance this.
Meanwhile survivors get to keep all of their toxic crap like SWFs and teabagging at the exitgate with no repercussion because BHVR thinks money is more important than integrity.
I don't need to dodge SWF, I don't have an issue with them, it's clearly the way you play.
Also, anyone that complains about T-Bagging is just beyond helping, just walk towards the survivor and they'll leave lol.
SWF was always intended, so was comms, so is tbagging, so is tunneling & camping.
SWF is still a [BAD WORD] miserable feeling, I don't even give a ######### if I 4k these ppl so it has nothing to do with playstyle, heck SWFs most of the time are probably easier if you want to play cheesy/campy because they will try stupid ######### to have fun beyond holding down M1.
It's just a [BAD WORD] miserable feeling that SWF are sitting there having fun with 3 other ppl while ur sitting there alone and even the game doesn't favor you.
You dont care if you can 4k them because it's a slightly harder total win? I dont get the issue. So you just dont want people to have friends?
If you're not having fun as killer, 0k or 4k, that's a you problem that only you can fix.
I think the point went over your head. SWF is pretty much survivors with 7 extra free items/perks/killer perk negation that honestly is NOT about playing with friends, but rather having an unfair advantage over the killer to make themselves feel good tormenting someone else. If you can't see that SWF is toxic, the problem is you.
Camping is just as toxic also.

And just found out that using a white ward doesn't help this exploit because I just lost a rainbow map with add ons as well as getting 0 bp and losing pips to a killer dc'ing after burning a white ward.
So you aren't fixing this ######### problem and you aren't compensating anyone for the points YOUR problem has caused people to lose? And then people get warnings and account action on the forums for saying WHAT the problem is. Got it.

Crotus Prenn. Standard maps, easy to see, walls thst can be mind-gamed.For the love of god please not Lery's or Yamoaka.
Springwood would be nice too I guess.
Since they're drawing from the new NoE, there's not much to draw from in terms of mapping. I mean most of it was in their houses, at school(a high school not the school in game which is where they were molested as kids), and a library I think in one scene which would be the most plausible. I wouldn't mind a library map.
Haddonfield I think you can at least have some sort of Main street type thing with the cemetary possibly, but most other locations would be too similar. Maybe include a semi indoors part with the police station since there really is no police station style map yet.
Crotus Penn really doesn't have much else to draw from at the moment. Honestly the Clown could add a more carnival style map rather than just the encampment.
Since the Game implies anything Jigsaw did not a specific location as the meat packing plant was really just its own thing that was contained, you could make more maps from the Saw movies.

Well if you don't like those particular actions, don't perform them. Just don't expect anyone else to follow your own rules, when the game itself allows said actions.
Personally, I don't like showing bad manners in any way, not during the match and certainly not after the match. That's why I don't do it. But there are lots of people that like those things. So be it, I can choose to ignore them or block them. Big deal. Most of the times those BM backfire and they just make jackasses of themselves, anyways.
Camping is already frowned upon by the devs so stop saying my own rules.

Teabagging, clickety-clicking and smacking people on hooks are actions that take away time from the person choosing to do them. Though within the mechanics of the game, they're akin to go AFK for the length of said action.
Camping, tunneling, gen-rushing, D-striking, pallet-looping, hook-diving, bodyblocking, flashlight-saving, and many more frowned upon actions, are all within the mechanics of the game, and sometimes, strategies that may lead to a positive outcome for the players performing them.
The only actions that I would qualify as out of bounds would be holding the game hostage by refusing to take the hatch or exit gates and bodyblocking a survivor in a corner with no further action from the killer. Thus they're bannable offenses and you still can disconnect to get out of there.
Anything else is game.
Pallet looping, flashlight saving, hook-diving, bodyblocking, D-striking, gen-rushing, and tunneling aren't even close to the same as camping. Tunneling I'd even omit since it's close to camping in that killers will still chase you even if you're healed just because even if there's an injured person right there.

Hey bud, I’d like to share some insight on what is actually happening. At least on Xbox, there has been a bug since 2.2.0 that has persisted up until now.Upon loading in, the code takes some sort of nose dive, and upon gen completion, killer stun, killer hit, or hook, the game will end and give the survivors the escape bonus bloodpoints and the killer loses a pip, receiving whatever bloodpoints they managed during the match.
Its just as infuriating for us as it for you, I promise. But be cautious labeling everyone as a rage quitter. I can’t tell you how demoralizing it is to have this bug happen, and be taunted with messages from some streamer calling me a rage quitter, followed by a bombardment of messages from the viewers.
Its a huge problem, I don’t know if it exists on PS4 and PC, but it definitely exists on Xbox.
It was none of those. Sorry, try again.

Yeah, I wonder why rank doesn't mean anything when you can go against ranks 18's to reach rank 1. The system is really broken sometimes, happens to me when I play killer on boosted survivors.
It's far harder to rank up against trash killers than moderate to good killers. I've had games against really bad killers and barely black pipped because they didn't even injure anyone.

So theres a conspiracy of killers dcing to cost you bp. And you've calculated/kept track for 7 mil of it. And this seems logical to you?
No. There's a conspiracy that BHVR doesn't seem to care yet they are on this witch hunt for people who dc.
Simple fix: If DC'ing is a bannable offense then you shouldn't be losing your earned points, pips, and add ons for it since there is an existing punishment for it. The reason this fixes it is that the killer is able to trick the system into thinking EVERYONE dc'd.

Now that's a design choice that I cannot find logical. They said they're fine with a killer being "fun but not necessarily viable" or something to that extent.

I've never felt so dissapointed in my life.It ended up costing me the game but the guy that did this clicked with his flashlight to far away from the exit so I atleast gave him payback
Just ignore that killre completely, if noone wants to play him, then the devs will rework him.
The only thing that worries me is the BT buffBorrowed Time buff only really matters to killers who tunnel and it honestly doesn't do much in that case because you will probably still catch them. Mending does need a sound however. The only people complaining about the BT buff are people who camp and it really doesn't change much. The major change that matters is anyone can fix themselves without self care.

Another 2 tonight. Killer spends an hour chasing a guy while we do gens and he gets DS'd and oh look killer forces the group to DC and we lose items, offerings, two pips, and no blood points. Still absolutely not word from the devs At this point I'm due about 3 mil in compensation.
He does right. He worked hard for that hook, and got robbed by a free win button.
So you're allowed to exploit when you "worked hard" when he didn't? Good to know. I hope I can get in a game with you and exploit and claim I worked hard.
Look man. I play both but you know what?
I'm not surprised killers are disconnecting when things dont go their way, bevause survivors do it all the time.
Get an early down? Disconnect
Brought some good add-ons? Disconnect
Found someone in a locker? Disconnect
Got two people hooked at once? Disconnect
Hit someone? Disconnect
Looked at a survivor? DisconnectKillers disconnecting is obviously the wrong thing to do but given how often survivors do it everytime things work out good for the killer it's easy to see why killers are starting to do it more when thkngs go bad for them.
I mean that's the funny thing. As killer you're not allowed to win a game oh no. If it looks like you're getting a 4k the survivors can't have that. They'll start disconnecting.
If it looks like you're losing though you're expected to stay the whole game so you can see them teabagging you at the exit gates.
Double standards.
Wait so a killer gets 0 points and 0 pips if a single survivor disconnects?!?!? Oh wait you keep your points and you get 625 per dc and the dc counts as a kill for pips. Stop talking about double standards when you haven't read the thread.
This is an exploit where the killer is making the game think the survivors dc'd by turning off their console, turning off their internet, or similar things. In doing so the survivor gets 0 points, 0 pips, and loses their item whereas NO MATTER WHAT THE SURVIVOR DOES the killer will always keep anything they earned in the match and get points and pip progress for the DC.
No double standards.

Some gamers are going to catch, and make sure the survivor dies on hook. Doesn’t matter the survivor, the day or time.I don’t care about Killing. I also don’t let people go for free.. Unless there are 2x Party Streamers and I’ll consider it.
Take it as a compliment. If someone is camping you to death, they’re afraid they won’t catch you again.
My favorite games are when people hard camp, they get 1 kill and 7.5k points. Meanwhile everyone else escapes. Then they say you’re noob gen rushers L u L 🙂
Which is why campers are trash players. They can't get someone more than once. If I max bold points in a single chase and go down, I'm 90% sure the trash is going to camp. It's epidemic from rank 20-8 and honestly needs to be addressed. It's the reason for most of the DC's and hook suicides in the game.
So trash that you're the one who lost.
Lost? lol ok if that's what you call taking 10 minutes to down 1 survivor. Yeah that is THE definition of trash. Rank 1 killer and I never take long enough to fill a survivor's boldness points. But hey be aggressive because you're always wrong. Gotta insult people because you're just a sad malicious person.

I main Hag. She can do really well in the corn fields. but the maps are still annoying, especially when you keep getting them over and over. it doesn't feel like I'm getting a variety of maps. Even if I am.
Oh I understand that. The person was just suggesting make the corn smaller which would really be something odd of a nerf to some and buff to others and nothing to others.
They really need to make 2 maps per chapter which could even be adding to something like Springwood maybe an Elm Street and Haddonfield could get like a County Fair map or something.

If only there was a way to deal with borrowed time. Like maybe not camping/tunneling or attacking the rescuer or using a perk like insidious to reduce your terror radius to zero so as not to trigger borrowed time. If only there were options like that available. Oh well, I guess all killers are screwed.BT is irrelevant as long as the gates are closed but once they are open, there will be no way to secure a hook.
I don't mind the "anti-tunneling" feature during the match but once the gates are open it shouldn't provide an infinite safe unhook oppurtunity. It's very similar to NOED, which is exactly why I'm going to run NOED on Nurse and slug 24/7 if this patch goes live with that BT change.
It's a protest march, nothing personal and it's also not because I think BT is gonna be too strong. It's because that change wasn't needed and only rewards hook farmers and/or bad survivors that get caught in the end, so I make sure to punish them accordingly :^)
This changes nothing for when the gates are open because you'd still need to hit twice. Stop spreading this gate myth. The boost of speed from the hit was usually enough much less most people had exhaustion perks back up after. This changes nothing in terms of gates open.

When you're assaulted, what you do in response becomes self-defense. However, there are still limits to self-defense. But thanks for wishing harm upon me just because I pointed out that you're just as wrong as the lagswitcher.
When someone is cheating, DCing is still DCing.Except it isn't. It's getting away from the cheater without rewarding them. Go take a nap yourself. You're ranting the same wrong bullshit over and over. Disconnecting from a lagswitcher is self defense.
Also gotta love the victim complex. Nobody wished harm on you. I wished to see your reaction if it ever happens. Try again sad sad person.

@White_Owl BT was/is a meta perk. It punishes the killer for playing smart. It already did what it's supposed to do. Just a LOT better. Now you mend instead of heal which doesn't require self-care, is a lot quicker, and no longer impaced by killer perks that effect healing.lol playing smart? It punished the killer for playing like #########.

Stop being to petty, you know exactly what they are saying.
Like it or not, you DCing on a lagswitching is still breaking the rules (right or wrong) it is what it isNo they already broke the rules with a more serious infraction. Try again. So you're just supposed to sit there and take it if someone assaults you because you think they'll claim assaulting them back is a crime? Yeah no it's self defense. Try again.
You were not assaulted, and this isn't real life. Your analogies and reaction speak volumes about your current state of mind, so I recommend you take a chill pill and sleep it off.
My account was assault by having someone cheat against me. I'm allowed to do what I need to do to prevent it. Your analogies are the ones that are baseless and mean nothing. But hey keep trying to act like you're right when you're completely wrong and just an illogical person in general. I can't wait for someone to hit you in real life and see what you do since assaulting someone is illegal and according to you, you cannot assault them back.

The idea behind the Fenzy attack making it difficult to down survivors is cause the power is ment to spread the pain around the survivors. Not tunnel one survivor down. The idea from the survivor side, is that this killer isn't meant to be played as a chaser and tunneler. You frenzy.. spread the hits around.. Then hunt the injured.
You aren't ment to spend the whole time chasing the same survivor while frenzied. That is why you lose the power if you hit someone who has a deep wound. If you are chasing the survivor to hit them 4 times while in frenzy so you can down them... You are playing the killer wrong. In fact, you are playing them horribly wrong.
The problem is that the mend is a joke if you let them run off and fix it. It stops while you're mending and you're able to mend yourself. There is no justification for that. Either it needs to run down during a chase and runs down while mending or you can't mend yourself.

Uh no he deserves nothing so the 625 is all he gets. Has NOTHING to do with rationalizing and everything to do with justice. Go make me a sandwich since you're doing nothing with your worthless comment."Justice" is not "Everyone needs to accept my reasons for doing something I know is wrong". Don't blame the guy cheating at Monopoly for you setting the board on fire.
lol so lagswitching is ok? Yeah keep thinking that. Stop posting because you're clearly and provably wrong.
And your analogy is 100% fallacious. It'd be "Don't blame the guy cheating at Monopoly from you abandoning the match when you see he's cheating" Me setting the board on fire would be me going to the dev studio and blowing it up or going to the killer's house and pulling all of their internet wires from the neighborhood.
I didn't say lagswitching was OK, so why are you pretending I did?
You're right, the analogy could use some work. How about this: Don't blame the guy taking money from the bank for you taking money from him.
Both of you are breaking the rules, and both of you are responsible for your own actions. It's your fault you're disconnecting on purpose, and nobody else's. It's your choice to do it, no matter how much you want to put the blame on the other guy, just as it was his choice to lagswitch.DC'ing from a lagswitcher SHOULDN'T be against the rules.
Your analogy is still awful. Once again it would be "Blame the guy taking money from the bank by taking your money out before he can"
Shouldn't be, but it is, so you knowingly broke the rules.
My analogy is fine. Yours just makes you look like the good guy when you knowingly broke the rules just as much as the lagswitcher did. It's no surprise, given the bias you demonstrated.Where does it say DC'ing from a lagswitcher is? Sorry, they already broke the rules, you're free to go. Try again. Your analogy is terrible because I'm not stealing from anyone. If anything it would be I'm stopping him from robbing the bank. Just stop. You're trash and wrong.

If it happens consistently to you then the problem is most likely not on the killer's side, but on yours. My ping is fine and I've confirmed with other people that were playing. Try again. Just like people claimed the killer dc glitch where you get 0 points and lose your item was just me and more and more people confirmed it. Much less it's pretty obvious that the lag only happens JUST before they land a hit on someone. Weird coincidence.

ShyN3ko said:Survivor-favored.
Because survivors have tons of informations and the killer has no informations.
And they made some bad gameplay designs.
Example:
The Pig doesnt see the reverse beartrap timer, but the survivor see it and hear it.
Yeah the Killer has no preparation time 60 seconds in advance, has no idea who his obsession is, what characters are playing and items they’re bringing in. Furthermore the Killer cannot determine where the generators are or any of the exit gates. Actually I think the Killer has all that information. You just proved you’re heavily Killer sided 😉
SWF has all of that information as well shared between them within 30 seconds. Also if one of them dies, they know all the killer's perks. You just proved nothing.
-
Biggest problem in the game is SWF. Other than that it's fairly balanced slightly survivor favored. SWF however puts it massively in the survivors' favor because they get 7 perks without equipping them and can negate several killer perks and add ons. However, at rank 20-8 it's basically usually you solo vs the killer when you're playing solo because you can't rely on the other people 90% of the time. They are either down with 2 hits in 5 seconds or hiding in a locker.

"Fixing the reasons people DC"?How do you fix people being sore losers? Because that's the reason they DC 99 out of 100 times.
As for lagswitching: switch to a real machine. Play with the big guys. Keep it real. Get a PC.
Most people DC in the games that I see due to camping and lagswitching. It has nothing to do with a sore loser. And you can lagswitch and then some on PC. My point is they need to deal with those by making them impossible before trying to go after DCs and you know DC will be the first ban wave if they ever get it to console.
PC it's way easier to hack and lagswitch.

Oh, I've made sure that tunneling is no longer an option in my killer PTB games.I appreciate the suggestion and implicit acknowledgment that perks such as Dying Light and Remember Me have received a minor nerf as a result.
Remember me is buffed by this. If you tunnel your obsession with Remember me, you only get 4 stacks. Try again.

@TreblucFayle tunneling isn't a problem. Unsafe unhooks are. If someone unhooks in the killer's face that deserves to be punished. Not the killer for playing smart. I know, that's how it got buffed and why I'm complaining lol. Mend (to the extent of my knowledge) takes less time to complete than healing a health state. Which you used to have to do to get out of the borrowed time effect. I would much rather face an insta-heal with current bt than the new version at all. It's not an unsafe hook if you have borrowed time. You lose a perk slot for it. It now helps serve it's purpose even better: counter to camping and tunneling.

@HellDescent said:
You know how you try to secure that last kill when the gates are open? Well, no more....You still just have to hit twice like before. I carry borrowed time on characters that don't have the perks I want because too often there's camping shitters who want to sit there and slash at the hooked person like an idiot and even if I body block one hit they still try for that potato that they know they're going to get.

purebalance said:Honestly a lot of the times the ones who did nothing get the hatch which is bs
this is honestly very true, however... don't punish the ones who actually work for it just because some lazy people get to take advantage of their hard work sometimes.
I've had quite a few games where I worked my ass off while my teammates were off doing gods-know-what, and the only way I survived was through the hatch... in my view, if I did gens, broke totems, made a rescue, avoided/escaped killer... I earned that escape.
There should be a quota be it points or whatever for you to be able to use the hatch. I wouldn't say at least 1-2 gen done because you could be kiting the killer for 10 minutes and they take that long to do 2 and then when they lose interest in you and kill the others you should still be able to get it. If you hid in a locker all game, you don't deserve it.
