It's way more relaxing once 2 gens are done.

Agreed especially when 1-2 people are dead and or hooked before a single gen gets done because it can snowball super quickly from there.

With the changed Self Care, I managed to get up to 133% Healing speed without a medkit. It was back to 12 seconds if you stacked Botany, ontop of Leader. [BAD WORD] insane.

I used to run BK when I 1st started playing Claudette since I liked her backstory and healing stuff and I still occasionally will bring it out. But it's really underpowered compared to everything else's perk slot it'd take up and I don't run SB/AD/DH or DS either.

  • Whoops linked wrong post checking for the more recent one

Ok couldn't find anything more recent than the pilot listing but perhaps @not_Queen can give an update on it.

I'd imagine before it goes fully live they'll probably put in some ground rules etc type of stuff.

@Vietfox So do you think FW are good for the game?

Personally I think they should play by the book and set a good example but do they have to do so?

I agree, but have you seen the community managers play? They are worse than most streamers. I watched one, whom I won't name, play recently. They spent the whole time mocking survivors for using perks. I watched them get looped for 2 gens, then the survivor lands DS, and gets downed again - the whole while the community manager is mocking the survivor's skills. They seemed to have missed the fact they got looped for almost 2 minutes. Furthermore, they mocked survivors who used stealth. Made jokes about them, and talked about it being a sad way to play the game. Said they should "....grow some balls...". Keep in mind, the survivor was not doing anything wrong. They were just playing stealth and avoiding the killer. No teabagging, pallet-looping, flashlight stuns, etc.

If your community managers can't stream while being good examples, how can you expect so called fog whisperers? Very bad standard set there. That's why I play the game for fun, and put zero stock/weight in performance of myself or anyone else in the game. Too much toxicity ruins it all.

If you're talking about someone with a cat or cats then you need to remember that person is streaming on their own time and also laughs at their own mistakes. also they're not worst then most streamers because they're not racist/homophobic, they don't tell people to kill themselves, etc.

  • New killer ability, mori gens: You're hatred of generators is so overwhelming you just can't take it anymore so you mori them and thus remove them from your memory. Since the gens are no longer there the survivors can't ever escape.

For me camping became far worse since the Spirit release. Dont know why but its something I noticed very clearly. Cant think of anything in that patch that promotes camping so much other than Spirit players using their ability to leave the hook and then instantly back.

Well as a Spirit main if I phase away and 5 seconds later you're unhooking of course i'm coming back and most people don't wait long enough before rushing in for an unhook. If you're not waiting 10 seconds after they've phased at a minimum you're just feeding them.

  • It would definitely be nice and I'd think that'd be a change they implemented once they recode how things work.

  • Well by not allowing yourself to die on hook you're basically saying killer go find that 4th person for the 4th kill for free. As far as struggling goes it should be either hold x key/button instead of having to button mash.

  • @DocOctober I respect your dedication toi wanting to help killers and we can all agree except the biased survivors that want killers nerfed that killers need help.

But where you're making a mistake is how you're going about it since this will only incentivize camping more now especially on smaller maps. Because if you do it twice you've saved yourself 30 in total if not more now versus if you camp and got gen rushed.

Now gen rushing will become even more of a thing, you'll see even more dcs most likely because the person on the hook will figure out pretty quickly they're not getting saved. They're also not going to live long enough to get any gen completion points either.

If you suggested this back before pre BNP nerf or before pre pallet nerf/exhaustion etc nefs then it'd probably have been more balanced. But with all the nerfs to survivor stuff and buffs to killers it's just an imbalanced way to address things.

I've made quite a few buff suggestions for killers both perk and non perk related but most wouldn't work due to flaws either coding, impracticality, would create more problems than it solved etc. Your problem is you're only seeing the positives for killers in the short term not what this would do overall.

  • @HatCreature said:

I should have expanded on that, you're right. It's a cycle of toxicity that effects one person and then the next whether it's killer or survivor, negative encouragement and so forth. I wasn't making excuses, I was stating my system of reaction.

All good, some might not realize you accidentally left that out, once one side starts it it can then go on an endless cycle. I always try and be positive and give a gg to killers and survivors unless they're toxic in which case I single out the good players for the gg with comments on the outplays.

  • @Raptorrotas said:
Oh no, the Killer is standing somewhere, menacingly, quick punish him for not rushing to face the backleft corner of the basement for the remainder of the sacrifice.

It actually makes sense. Less sacrifice time means less time for rescues, thus meaning survivors have to get up instead leisurely working on generators. If the Killer camps that, hooray he still wastes enough time for 3 generators to be done instead of 4. I think its good to stress survivors into decisions with the trends currently changing this game...

    @DocOctober
Funny how these obviously survivor biased trolls are trying to call you out on something.

Oh no the killer can save 15 seconds of camping and get rewarded for doing it by making survivors rush the hook even more now.

Yes it makes sense less sacrifice time emans the killer can't be punished by gen rushing him and 3 gens can't be finished unless they're hitting skill checks. You do know that math says that it takes 80 seconds to finish a gen without hitting skill checks.

With your heavily killer biased idea it takes 60 seconds to die and that means 3 gens aren't getting popped before that person dies. Now throw in perhaps people start running for the hook to save and realize hey they're camping. Well whoops now those 3 gens aren't getting done and guess what the killer can now get another person sacrificed as well.

You know what's funny is that you've already shown you've got no argument when you have to resort to the tried and failed survivor main insult. Because the moment you resort to that pile of nonsense when someone disagrees with you you've already thrown up the white flag.

Oh and I've been a killer main the last several months so I guess that insult just fell as flat as your argument did.

Never claimed they are. But i´m tired of survivors calling every killer a lag switcher, when they only had a lag spike.
I´ve been a survivor in those matches. No lag on my side. Survivors still acused the killer.

I've been on both sides of it so I can understand it but when it gets so easily dismissed on these very forums by killers mains non stop saying git gud it gets called out.

If people were actually told what's lag switching and what's not they actually feel better and learn something instead of feeling their getting trolled by killer mains.

Please don´t ask which one. I´m done with searching dev streams for a one liner.

That doesn't change the fact that killers also will start downloading something to keep their ping high when they want to have someone leave.

I also already acknowledged that's what happens as well but let's not pretend that killers are angels here in any way shape or form. Once the dedicated servers come up there won't be anymore of that nonsense going on.

  • @Maximus7 said:

Ebony Mori is more broken that ds and adrenaline and nobody mentions :)

But it's not??? Ebony moris, while pretty bullshit, still require you to do your job and hook a survivor first. DS rewards you for losing in a chase and Adrenaline rewards you for focusing on gens instead of healing yourself, getting rid of any pressure the killer accumulated during the match if all 4 had it.

The former perhaps the latter rewards you for doing your job which is DOING GENS and if you're the person playing catch me if you can. Then DS is rewarding you for choosing it and actually getting away but if you're never chased, get dribbled, slugged, dropped into the basement.

You get hooked but never get unhooked to use it again, get camped, get mori'd by Rancor or DH, sandbagged by a teammate etc.

The Ebony mori is a guaranteed kill on anyone that's been hooked, no 2nd chances, no wiggling free and running off nada zip zero zilch. You can't fail a skill check with it, you can't get dribbled, slugged or anything like that.

Just going to throw this out there, I almost never have a problem finding Claudette. For some reason, I run into a lot of them wearing her green lab vest, but even when they aren't, If they make even a slight bit of movement, I'll likely spot them. Our eyes are naturally tuned to spot movement.

Yes, she's great for stealth, but it only takes one slip up for all of that to go away. My problem with her is how often she is seen as the symbol of toxicity. Those people don't even use her P3 to really hide, just to be annoying. When I see a P3 Claudette, it's not how hard she will be to find that I worry about. It's how painful the game will actually be.

I stopped using her P3 outfit because killers would simply either dodge, tunnel and hard camp you while ignoring the actual toxic players and then say it's because I was toxic. This despite the fact I never tea bagged, didn't loop endlessly and don't sabo their hooks right in front of them.

It's the mere fact I play stealthy and don't teabag, run in front of them and loop them endlessly they feel deprived of the chance to thump their chest. It's like if you're not actually toxic well you must be toxic because Claudette and because you weren't toxic but you have to be mindset.

Meanwhile the people teabagging the killer and saboing hooks right next to them get ignored because hey you're wearing a P3 outfit etc.

  • Well based upon the time and perhaps region you probably got matched up because there wasn't anyone else really on.

  • This is a solution in search of a problem that really isn't that common to deserve said solution and we use the same logic why not apply it to Depip level killers?

A trapper stepping in his own traps has become a theme within montages and it would be a waste of comedy to remove it.

If you want to buff the trapper; Currently 1 of the biggest things that is holding the trapper back is that the trapper has to waste his time actually searching his traps rather than having them from the get-go.
    Try solving that instead.

This and as someone who mained Trapper before swapping to Spirit stepping into your own traps was just you losing situational awareness. You feel excited you got someone into the trap maze you pick them up turn around and promptly step into your own trap and drop them.

Now you can come here and blame the traps and say he shouldn't get stuck or accept the fact you made a mistake and see the humour in said mistake.

He really only needs 2 traps at base to be fine and the rest he could go around and find like normal but with a twist. His traps can't be sabo'd unless they've 1st been armed and then once sabo'd they're not broken but look normal until someone step into them.

You could then add a chance that the trap still has a chance of working but albeit it may break on it's own after trapping someone if it does work or take reduced escape time.

Now for those complaining about the hitbox this is the trap yo really want to have below the new and improved Trapper Trap.

If you step into this one it's your own fault.

Survivors are being hunted and killed. They can't be toxic, they are just fighting back against their oppressors. Which are the real and the only source of toxicity.

Toxic Survivors create toxic killers, it's a cycle that no Survivor wants to accept.

I play killer to have fun because I enjoy killing, I play Survivor to have fun because I enjoy being hunted in a horror game. But I respect everyone, I don't intentionally go into a game to screw everyone over and make it not fun for anyone involved. Toxic Survivors who only care about themselves and their stupid little friends get camped and tunneled because they ask for it. I don't enjoy tunneling or camping, I like dominating and scaring which you can't achieve through either of those methods.

You do realize it takes 2 to tango and it could be the killer is toxic to survivors who then go into the next match and are toxic to the killer right? It's almost as if you're implying all killers are angels and never start anything 1st.

Also quit making excuses for why you camp and tunnel, you could be camping and tunneling a solo player just because you assume they're swf. I don't play toxic because I'm not a jerk, if you're going to play toxic you're going to play toxic regardless.

  • @DocOctober said:

Is every Killer high-mobility? No. Not an argument.

Yes it is, you're ignoring the high mobility killers because it negates your argument.

Isn't hook-diving what Survivors do regardless of anything else? Yes, it is. Not an argument.

No and you know for a fact not every survivor or group does it. So no and it is an argument and you know it.

Is every Killer lucky (experienced is the wrong word to use here as experience means jack-######### with loopers) and downs the first Survivor in 15-30 seconds? No. Not an argument.

No but they do exist so yes it's an argument since you're using best case scenarios for your argument but denying others the same.

That is one particular scenario that is not representative of all games that are played. Because one scenario is bad all the others should be disregarded? Sorry, not how it works. Not an argument.

So your scenario should be the only one used because it favors your argument, isn't that the very definition of the word hypocritical? since the answer to that is yes that is how it works so yes it's an argument, you just don't like it's outcome.

Same goes for people who give up in stage II or slip from the spacebar and quite honestly, that's the worst argument you made so far. I could argue that having the hook stage take 45 seconds actually gives a Survivor 15 seconds more of a chance to slip.

So because something happens it should be negated because it doesn't fit your biased arguments narrative and instead rely on yours? What those 15 extra seconds could make the difference between an unhook or another gen being popped etc.

That should be fixed immediately /s

Wrong, just because you want it to be able to secure more kills doesn't mean it's either going to happen or is actually logical either.

Do we have mandatory secondary objectives? No, we don't. Not an argument.

Oh yes the fallacy finally rears it's ugly head, we don't ahve x so we should do something illogical because i want my 4 kills easier and quicker.

Since we know they're planning on secondary objectives and have tested them out during the Pustula event and it worked to an extent. We should completely ignore that coming down the pipeline because you want to be illogical and get something you don't deserve or need.

Oh and imagine that it's still an argument whether you like it or not, just because it refutes in any way what you say doesn't make it not an argument.

Come up with some better stuff.

Now how long did you think about that one since that's pretty weak as far as trolling goes you might've well just said I surrender or posted a white flag instead of using that.

Now if you actually thought about this logically you'd realize you're not asking for this for any reasonable reason but instead for your own personal bias of getting an easier game.

If you thought of this logically you'd realize you're not asking for this for balance reasons but because you want easier and quicker games.

If you thought of this logically and reasonably you'd realize all the shortcomings it has and how abused it'd become.

Bottom line it won't work for all the reasons you've been given, you just refuse to accept those reasons because you only want what's best for your own selfish gain, not what's best overall.

    WORKING AS INTENDED

It was a post discussing de ranking though.

    @BigBadPiggy
Makes even more sense. It's a sensitive topic for BHVR.

Well there was a few that were ahem highly questionable as anything other than flame bait threads and or were posted by banned accounts smurfs.

  • This would simply reward high mobility killers and encourage more camping since Billy/Spirit/Nurse could camp even harder knowing they can get killers quicker.

It'll also encourage more hook diving thus rewarding said hook campers while also feeding the narrative it's survivors fault for hook rushing. You run into a experienced killer that down's someone within the 1st 15-30 seconds.

Ok they sit there for a minute in which case 1-3 gens might pop, they go after someone bam and there's another person gone perhaps 1-2 more gens done. Ok the 3rd person is toast at that point since they know they're getting hard camped or they get hooked and the 4th gets hunted.

Now even if it's not an experienced killer you'll have people who give up once they get to stage II, you've got people's hands that slip get tired. That camping killer saves 15 seconds and they get to auto sacrifice that person the next time if they get unhooked.

Once you add secondary objectives in this just becomes why don't you go stand in front of a hook for my 4k now and save us all the time.

  • @Attackfrog said:

Ok I can agree that it helps but to say it's a survivor buff would if you want to be semantical about it only accurate part of the time since when the basement isn't there the hook can still spawn there.

But how many people were actually hooked on it from further away ie they got taken to that hook even though it wasn't the closest? How many got downed right there or even inside the shack but the killer still went for the outside one?

Now how many survivors actually got stuck there, I know i've been stuck on it a few times but that's probably only 1% of my matches where I got downed there. Most of the times I got hooked there it was because the basement wasn't there.

Is it a difficult loop yes, but they removed the double windows and if anything it makes you chase the tiles better in the long run not needing a crutch hook there.

Now this will probably get me flamed from some survivors but an interesting idea occurred to me regarding the loop here. Since it's a unique area why not have it be affected by the Entity's window blocking sequence similar to windows?

For instance if you go through the same doorway 3x in quick succession the entity blocks the doorway the same way it'd block the window being used. that way you can still use the shack to loop and break los for a get away but can't use it forever.

Since there's only 2 doorways and 1 window you get a few loops there and if the killers running Bamboozle you'd get 3 loops max before you got locked out.

    @Moderator Thoughts?

  • It could've been either moved or the poster was banned on their main account and thus created a smurf to post and of course that account got banned also. Which would of course get the thread deleted and while I don't know which thread it was that seems the most likely possibility.

  • @Delfador said:
I honestly didn't like the change and I play survivor majority of the time. I don't care about the basement and it wastes like 10 to 20 seconds and if I am not gonna use the basement it is just wasted time for me. I like the fact that both as a killer and survivor that hook is not gonna screw me but they could place it somewhere near the basement.

It'll still be within 16 meters like it's supposed to be or somewhat closer to fulfill the minimum spacing requirements. When I'm playing killer I didn't depend on it being there since if you were screwing around there you were getting basemented.

As a survivor I never screwed around the shack if the basement was there since I knew most killers would basement me.

  • @Tsulan said:

There are far less lag switchers than people claim.
Not every lag spike is a switcher.

I'm not disputing either of those but I've been around long enough to know the difference and have recorded enough videos of it happening. But to say it doesn't exist or happens only rarely is untrue especially on pc and for those that remember the old Starcraft usage.

  • Built in Noed isn't a really learnable experience to counter via tutorial since it just gives you the bare bones basics. What happens if the killer uses HG and some noob thinks oh it's NOED I should cleanse it they're going to get wiped out.

But I did what the tutorial said to do, I'm uninstalling the game because it's not working properly or something along those lines.

The only ones that ever ask for built in NOED are killer mains or bad killers just as the only ones that ask for built in DS are survivor mains or bad survivors.

It doesn't need to be a built in perk especially not at noobish ranks since some killers intentionally derank to that area and having it be baseline would guarantee a 4k.

  • @Attackfrog said:

You may have read my post with your own blinders on, based on that response. It is a minor change, but the only time it has been impartial for me is when a survivor wasn't paying attention and ran into it, buying me a second to close the chase.

You it's a survivor buff, me it's being fixed due to improper distance calculations now see how one of us is using logic and the other nonsense?

You saying it's a survivor buff is nonsense since it's not supposed to be there when the basement is there, me saying it's not a survivor buff is logical due to my reasoning.

Now that I've proven which one of us was using the logical argument and facts to back it up and which was posting nonsense the one with the blinders on would be you.

Also if you needed that hook to close a chase then you didn't deserve to get them down since you either need to chase better or not chase their at all.

Because if someone is gen tapping it means they're bad/ lazy/ a bot and you can pretty much ignore them and go for the actual good players.

Since by the time they finish that gen several minutes later you could've already downed and hooked 1-2 people.

If an exploit is just a lazy workaround, that doesnt mean that the exploit doesnt need a fix.

If somethings not an exploit then it's not listed as an exploit by the devs just like dribbling so since neither are listed as an exploit that means neither is an exploit.

So basically one Gate can be opened, gotcha. Now the Killer has to decide should they guard that gate or should they keep patrolling the last few Gens? If he guards the Gens they go out the gate, if he guards the gate they do the Gens and now both gates can be opened. But, the one thing the Killer has is more time, the Killer has a teensy bit more time compared to both gates being open because the Survivors that are left have to decide the same thing. Go for the gate or go for the Gens? That indecisiveness could cost them.

But of course this entire scenario would be outplayed by a SWF group, one person distract the killer while the other does the Gate then they circle back and everyone leaves.

Yes lets assume the worst case scenario every time and not that it could be a solo and 1 swf or gates are powered and 1's alive. Also killer guards gate sees gen being worked on and runs over there think Billy, Nurse, Hag placing traps, Trapper placing Traps, Spirit, Wraith etc.
