  • Did you report them after the game was over since if they were hacking BHVR can deal with it and video is even better.

I'm going to frame your answer and point at it  every time someone complains about lag switching killers.

Go right ahead since I've given the same advice to survivors complaining about and also telling them to record it and submit it via support ticket if it's actually lag switching. I've even explained multiple times the differences and sometimes subtle ones at that.

But let's be honest here we both know killers do it way more often than survivors do at least on pc so more of survivors complaints are legitimate.

This can be tested out in a Event or something

Why test out something that most people already know won't work given all the times gates have either spawned close enough or it's a highly mobile killer. One gate only means killer camps it or Trapper/Hag/Wraith/Myers etc.

It went both ways in my opinion.

I agree on hooking people there to maintain pressure instead of wasting precious time going downstairs. What's the point of hooking in the basement if you're not going to hard patrol or camp, anyway?

However, most of the times that stupid hook got in the way when trying to hug walls, creating an even more frustrating loop to chase around in the shack, as a killer.

A sweet spot would be a couple of meters away, but that's my killer bias...

I always get stuck on it when I'm playing survivor since I'm looking back to watch the killer. Annoying.

Yup. Pretty much makes that loop easier for survivors now. It was a hook I rarely (if ever) used but Sometimes it helped block a survivor looking back at me.

    Another over all survivor buff.

Yep another biased blinders post, I mean it's not like this was done because the hook spacing was being improperly done or anything like that.

Since there's 4 more hooks closer than they should be so if you want that hook to stay there you lose all 4 basement hooks. So go ahead and complain about it being a survivor buff since if you want it to be one you lose your basement hooks.

Now what's more important losing 4 permanent non sabotage able basement hooks that make a nice trap area or 1 measly hook a few meters away?

As Killer it's infuriating when you use an ultra rare offering or add-on and then a swf comes along and they all dc upon the loading screen.

You should be able to keep your offerings or add-on when that happens.

Especially since as killer you don't even pip when that happens you merely safety pip with almost no gain in BP.

Please if you can, look into this.

It could be a crash, they're all on the same shared internet ie college dorm there's lots of reasons for it and are you for punishing all the killers that do the same?

  • There's some that're just that way, some that're that way because their favorite streamer is doing it cough Ochido cough, then you get the ones just blowing off some steam.

Also any killers complaining about gen tapping need to look themselves in mirror and say to themselves I like gen tapping.

Because if someone is gen tapping it means they're bad/ lazy/ a bot and you can pretty much ignore them and go for the actual good players.

Since by the time they finish that gen several minutes later you could've already downed and hooked 1-2 people.

Or u could use them as bait to get the good players off the gens =p
Btw thanks for the defense in the now erased thread lol

It's much faster to simply power through the ruin, than tap even if you can't get hit those hex skill checks.

I just started using gen tapping- it works way better than powering through.

Practice Great Skill Checks. If you can hit Great Skill Checks every time, generators will take 80 seconds. If you tap, however, there's a short period where you can't interact with the generator every single time, and it quickly adds up.

Hey Orion, are you stalking me or is this all you do with your time?

Just waiting for lunch and trying to give out friendly advice. You can take it or leave it.

5,000 posts don't come from just waiting for lunch, and you've only joined in june!? Lol okay. I guess I'll just have to take your word for it.

Also, next time you can just say "get gud" because that's what your advice basically is.

I joined in May and have got over 5100 and no that's not what his advice is even if the end result is that's what happens.

If you practice your great skill checks you can ignore Ruin and stockpile the bonus bp pretty quickly to boot.

This double standard really pisses me off. Lag switching is [BAD WORD] bad, we all know that. But its completely fine for survivors to be EXTREMELY laggy, and barely uncatchable, and gain a simular advantage to lag switching from whatever it is they do to increase their latency. Both need to be bannable offences. Its funny how the lag is very selective too, and only occur's during chases or when they are about to be hit.

Add it to the list of bannable offences, survivors have more than enough crutches and tools at their disposal, don't make lag another one.

Oh good grief, you can always dodge someone with 1k ping or red ping and if you think someone is lag switching on the survivor end and you've got proof report them.

Also you do realize that you're the host so perhaps it might just be you that's the problem or you know the possibly multiple Isp's the data runs through to get to you.

Lastly the fact you use the crutches insult points to it being more you and not them.

I would like to see just one thing with SWF's. Put in a comm system and outlaw 3rd party systems. Every time the survivors talk on it, the killer gets an audible murmur if he is within a certain range. Sort of like Charlie Brown's teacher. As the killer closes in, he can hear the conversation better, and better. That will change the entire atmosphere of the game. If you are chasing a survivor and you hear someone telling him to go to the killer shack and they can help, then you know what to expect. Why not let the killer in on the action too?

You can't ban voice that way and in game voice comms won't happen for all the reasons that've been discussed before. It helped kill F13 and other games since no one wants to listen to screaming 12 year olds and you can't simply mute someone while being chased.

  • Yet when it's Lery's or Gideons or say Ormond I'm sure you killers come here complaining about if demand they change it so she's not sticking out like a sore thumb on maps where her P3 is a bad thing.

Wraith, Pig, Nurse, Doctor and Legion once he smacks someone all make her camo useless then you've got Whispers and now the new and improved Spies from The Shadows.

Let's also not forget Scratched Mirror Myers, Amanda and Wraith aura add ons etc.

I have played Dead by Daylight for 3 months now. Killers seem to have an advantage over the survivors. First thing is the killers get a 7 to 10 thousand blood point bonus while the survivor only gets an average of 15 to 20 thousand blood points per match. Second the killers seem to be able to hit the survivor through a window when they fast vaulted and are 5 feet away. Third there are lag switchers on console that need to be found and removed from the game, I have encountered this issue more than 10 times. Final issue is the killers hit boxes are ridiculously huge, when a survivor is to the right of a killer and they swing left they magically cause damage, also there isn't a game where I do not see this issue. I simply tried to talk to DBD representatives, but they tell me to put my words on these discussions, and now I am hoping there is a big fix.

    Killers have the advantage?

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

At newbie ranks yes killers do have the advantage.

    1. They removed all moonlight offerings and brightened all maps to help killers.

Most of your post was right on, but I can't help but comment on this part cause the changes have been severely annoying for me. The "brightened" maps may seem like a buff, but you have to look at how they did it. They didn't actually make things brighter, they just put a white screen over everything. Fortunately, it has a minimal effect in most maps, but in Ormond specifically, it's so ridiculously bad , fresh scratch marks on snow are about as visible as faded scratch marks on other maps. All logic would suggest they should show up more clearly on white rather than dark green. But they don't cause the effects they use don't actually brighten things, they just put a white film on the top of everything.

Well for Ormond they're working on the vfx changes for that since that's more due to the new engine updates and I'll have to hop on the PTB and see if it's a bit better.

  • I've actually kobe'd off the hook and gottne the hatch because the killer knew i had it and waited to me until the other person sacrifice started. They hooked me thinking I couldn't kboe but because the sacrifice animation hadn't completed i was able to kobe after they ran off.

  • Well if you watch some of the hgn end streamers they're pretty strategic with their hookings so that they don't create dead zones on the map.

  • Well the buff was op, the SC was a bit much and SWF would simply change to a more varied perk loadout thus making it that much more difficult for killers.

  • It only works on other players currently, not sure about the PTB though.

    https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Leader

You're able to organise a team to cooperate more efficiently.
Increases the other Survivors' Healing, Sabotage, Unhooking, Cleansing, Opening Exit Gates, and Chest Search speeds by 15/20/25 % when they are within 8 metres of range from you.

Survivors can only be affected by one Leader effect at a time.

This effect persists on other Survivors for 15 seconds after leaving the Leader's effective Perk range.

  • Doctor in the right hands in an absolute terror and I've been 4k'd with only 1 or no gens done just because they played him to the utmost. Their pathing was impeccable, loops never worked, they'd cut corners, mind game you to pieces etc.

The same is true for Freddy's, Hags, Trappers etc, if you know how to maximize their kits and get the most out of them you'll do well.

And when it comes to players in Australia and New Zealand...well, we're all screwed as the servers will be US and EU based and our Ping will skyrocket like 90% of the games out there.

I am from Brazil and I do have the same concern. Probably this is going to kill the game for good - if dedicated servers over here are not provided. But the problem will also be demand for it, if they see that there is not enough players to keep it active, well, bummer, no way to play at all. I hope for those cases, Killer hosted games might still be a possibility.

Most of the players are from EU, NA, and Asia. I do hope the devs put servers on all continents, but don't pretend that not having servers in SA and AU is going to kill the game.

Well, I do hope that as well, never pretend anything - or did I? If I am not mistaken I was actually hopping for a solution - maybe just keep things like they are for areas where servers would not be available.

But yeah, no reason to keep playing and spending my money and time in this game if I start to join lagged sessions from other side of world. But that's just my opinion. ;-)

I don't think they'd ignore a continent just because of player population there, they'd most likely have at least 1 rack if not more there.

I hate it when people equate excessive altruism with Survive with Friends. SWF doesn't have to be (and often aren't) altruistic. In fact, if they even have a bit of intellect and self-control, they would be able to assess the situation better than any solo, and make good determination of if/when to make a save, as well as how many people is getting off the generators to do that. After all, they have much more information than the game itself provides for them.

As a killer, counting on your opponent to be stupid and unable to control themselves doesn't make for a fun game even if you kill them all.

Funny, but survivors always claim that noone actually plays like the depip squad (intellect+self control).
Fact is that if they genrush like crazy (intellect blabla), then its boring af as killer and it they are over-altruistic, then its a boring game imo too (even if ez 4k)

See I'd completely disagree with you, but now that I've actually experienced some ridiculously tryhard genrushers as killer I would like to note that I completely agree with you.

The issue isn't that they exist they do but that certain vocal killer mains insist it's a regular occurence with some claiming it was every game etc.

  • I'll post this yet again, the devs idea is to buff solo players up the level of swf by giving them a base Kindred so that they're basically on the same information level as swf.

Then since all survivors will be mostly equal information wise killers can then be buffed up to that level and thus there's no imbalance when killers get buffed to solo players.

I'm not sure if you're talking to @master here or me since there's no context to your last comment.

Dude firstly, I literally put a QUOTE before the statement that IS the context.

Secondly, you did not read my OP at all because you imply that my solution would nerf solo survivors while it in fact has ABSOLUTELY no impact on solos.

I'm not even going to keep discussing with you, your lack of reading comprehension is seriously pissing me off.

E: and after still reading your whole post I'm even more sure that I'm not going to discuss with you. This is not about Killer / Survivor imbalance, this is SOLELY about SWF with NO relation to ANYTHING else. Not SWF vs Killer, not SWF vs Solos but "SWF and their unintended advantage: Voice communication".

Ok but you had him quoted in your statement so you were literally addressing us both not one person so no it didn't have context who you were referring to. If you were referring to me singularly you'd have taken out his name and simply tagged me in it for context.

Actually I did read your op and you're not seeing the forest for the trees here and in fact your ideas will nerf solo.

Since if it's easier to pick off swf that means they die that much quicker leaving the solo players easier prey since as you pointed out they can't communicate. Now think that through for just a minute here, the swf can still use voice to say I see him here etc but have reduced fov.

You as a killer can deduce that swf is players 1,2,4 and thus are going to be easier to get due to their reduced fov. Since that solo can't communicate and has a wider fov they're the more important target since they can see more.

Now add to that the person might be running bond since they're solo and will want heals and be able to go to help heal. So you as a smart killer want to remove the person running Bond and the extra information it gives asap. So because smart killers will focus solo more knowing that swf hs reduced fov yes it will impact solo's.

The only one with lack of reading comprehension here is you, you want to keep on ignoring anything you don't like and that your confirmation bias blinders can't see.

There you go with the forest and the trees again since you can't balance one without affecting the other, if you change one part of an equation you change another part.

Here I'll give you an example where 2+2+2=6 that's pretty well understood but if you change it to 2+4+2 it becomes 8 which is also well understood. Now because we've changed 1 part of the equation we changed the initial equations results.

So if you change swf you affect killers and you affect solo's, that's basic logic there.

  • @PiiFree said:

It's hard to balance it when every suggestion gets torn apart by some SWFs that can't handle balance adjustments.

No it's hard to balance when most of the ideas are simply remove it or buff killers to that level which destroys solo players.

According to most SWFs, it's ALL about "Having fun with friends" - winning the match is not priority but I find it very ironic that as soon as they get pulled out of their comfort zone by nerfing SWFs, they play that "don't give us a disadvantage!!" excuse.

Again no, most people on ehre play both sides and people want to have fun while also trying to win but they also laugh when they see a friend get hooked. Most survivors have no real issue with adjusting things because they want the game to be better balanced and the small vocal Ochido minority doesn't count.

The only ones using that argument are the Ochido minority and the minority of killer mains that want to use every excuse in the book.

This is one reason why I despise SWF - not because they play with friends or because they play at a disadvantage but because they feel so entitled to it that it's legit impossible to find solutions.

You should read that line back to yourself and then realize how foolish that sounded because again it's the entitled incessantly complaining and excuse making killer mains and the Ochido fanclub that does that.

YOU are already ruining the fun for the opposite side (just to make you realize that for once) and YOU are the reason why we can't balance it.

I mean obviously they can't and haven't or won't balance anything and obviously I'm the reason for that right since you said it it must be true.

No i'm not and just an fyi I'm a killer main and have been for the last several months and I don't have an issue facing swf. I have fun regardless of how the match goes and I don't run and cower in the nearest corner because I might be facing a swf group.

So stop making up excuses and using histrionics to backup a failed argument when the only ones who are stopping anything are the ones that refuse to adapt and get better.

Now let's get to the actual facts and not your made up ones and I'll even list all the balancing things they've done yet you totally ignored.

    1. They've made some map tiles smaller like ahem swamp and move the Shrimp Boat to a more open area and away from the Big boat.

    2. They removed pallets, windows vaults, jungle gyms, tweaked some of same across all maps.

    3. They added in minimum spacing both for pallets and hooks and added in minimum hook spawn locations for each map.

    4. They added a hook to the top of Thompson house.

    5. They nerfed healing

    6. They nerfed movement speed and made exhaustion not reset while running across all movement speed perks not just Sprint Burst.

    7. They reworked Trapper, Hag, Wraith and are doing a full scale rework on Freddy.

    8. They removed all moonlight offerings and brightened all maps to help killers.

    9. Mist effects have been changed which imagine that helps killers.

Now would you look at that they've been balancing the game the whole time I've been here and some of what I and others suggested was actually implemented.

But wait you said I was the reason they can't balance it, I never knew I had so much power that I never used until it was too late.

Lastly they've been talking about adding in a base Kindred to solo survivors which would bring them up to the level of swf information wise. They could then buff killers to that level which wouldn't have the effect of destroying solo players.

But of course since I'm here they obviously can't balance it.

    @Master said:
Of course there will be a mute button like in any other onlien game...... pls bro

If we implement ingame voice communication we'd have to remove / rework half the perks that exist in DbD. If that's "less of an effort" to you then that's fine but my guess is that you just never thought that through, did you? Changing half the perks or changing the FoW slider for SWFs, what's more of an effort? And also, explain to me how this would require a total rework of all animations? Really curious how you came to that conclusion.

I'm not sure if you're talking to @master here or me since there's no context to your last comment.

In my opinion if ur the last survivor and the proper amount of gens are done the hatch should open automatically rather than wait for the last hooked person to be dragged off into the sky. It makes no sense, their dead on the hook why does the hatch need to remain closed for 5 more seconds.  I was knocked right on hatch, killer found the other survivor hooked them and they died and because of how long it takes I couldn’t escape because he had enough time to come back to me. I don’t reallt care if u agree or disagree with this I’m just putting my opinion out there. Have fun talking with yourselves cuz I’m not going to read the replies. Byyyeee

The issue is if someone does nothing the entire match and simply hides and then camps the hatch it's a true free escape. The delay is because the sacrifice hasn't been completed thus the hatch can't open till then which is a fair trade off.

Also posting then running away because you don't want to read replies because gasp they might disagree with you is pretty pitiful.

I didn't realize they added voice chat into the game as a perk slot for free, I guess when teh killer lag switches that's a free map wide perk then using your logic.

To take it even further when the killer stream snipes they're getting a free map wide perk that doesn't take up any slots.

Now to really take it further when they stream snipe they not only get to see what the survivor sees like Bond etc they get to listen into their voice chat.

Yeah no freebies for survivors here and good killers don't come to the forums and complain incessantly and blame everything on swf.

    1) Either reduce the safe pallets and switch them to unsafe pallets OR keep them as they are but make the walls massive so you can't see through them to keep the possibly of mindgames. You can't keep both devs, why don't you realize that?

    2) corn. F*cking corn. Especially on rotten fields, give it thick mist and it's gg, especially for slow movement speed killers or nurse.
My idea: reduce the corn, don't make it so thick and compensate that with jungle gyms, T walls or simple pallet tiles in the middle. Unfun as a killer if you have thick mist and slow movement and a dead zone for survivors if they verse fast Killer without thick mist. It's for both sides annoying.

    3) add more hills so survivors can use balanced landing more and killers can use it as a "sniper spot" to find survivors. Sometimes RNG gives me 0 tiles to use balanced (only shack basement stairs) or to look for survivors.

    4) Myers and huntress need some special treatment. Myers can't really stalk in corn. If you look at my second point this would help him out.
Huntress can get F-ed with all the tall wall loops. Change then a bit to low walls.

    5) totems placements are the worst on this map. It's so damn easy to find them, sometimes they spawn just in the middle of the corn field without anything to hide.

1.I do like the idea of higher walls for mindgames both sides but you'd absolutely kill off certain killers like Nurse who needs to be able to see, Amanda who's already really low to the ground. Then you have huntress who can't try and be sneaky with her hatchets.

Also pallets are fine since they're spread out and already got reduced oh and did I forget Billy on corn with reduced pallets or Wraith or Spirit.

2.Yes but there's maps where slow movement killers have an advantage.

Did I mention Billy on cornfield and if you add in more jungle gyms you just add in more frustration for the killers that have a hard time with that already. Which is why they reduced and or removed several jungle gyms to help said killers.

Yes it's annoying for both sides the dead zones so perhaps split the difference some may'be take 1 or 2 pallets out and put 1 or 2 jungle gyms in wide open spaces. That way less pallets but more jungle gyms with more mind game potential.

But a compromise of some sorts would be beneficial to both sides while not favoring or hurting any particular killer.

3.Yeah that one's annoying since someone brings it and poof it's an all flat map or 1 hill cough Gas Lodge cough. I'd like to see perhaps 2 small hills and one King Of The Hill type hill in the middle on the more open maps.

It'd of course have a great view, put a chest up there perhaps with rare loot in it to entice survivors to play risky for it. The ramp would of course face the most open part of the map. With a very nice hook at the top always guaranteed to spawn there and also it could be indestructible like a basement hook.

The chest would respawn with new loot every 3 minutes which would also make survivors want to try and raid it for loot.

4.Yeah that's annoying and perhaps changing it so his stalk distance in the corn has a longer view tunnel so to speak. that or it just ignores the corn to a certain range say 12 meters since 16 is the distance between hooks.

At 12 meters that'd give survivors a chance to run off while Myers also gets a chance still stalk like normal without having it too easy.

Well this is why I mentioned her in the above part about walls getting higher for mind gaming, you'd help some killers but she'd be gutted.

5.This one's tough and about 6 months or so ago i proposed having each totem on larger maps having 10-20 possible spawn locations each. The response I got from some of the killer mains on here was pretty funny saying it was a nerf, wasn't possible coding wise etc.

But that way even if you memorize all the possible spawns that's still 100 in total and you'd still have to look a lot longer than you do now. They also need to be lower to the ground and take 30 seconds to cleanse perhaps with a skillcheck.

Now it's been suggested they not light up until active which is all fine and dandy but then Haunted Ground becomes worthless. You also wouldn't have as much use for TOTH because hey if nothing's active why cleanse.

As far as spawning in the middle of the corn that's an unfortunate side effect since there's nothing in the middle but then putting in sme smaller jungle gyms like you said would give it 2 more locations.

I had a suggestion about endgame slugging, nearly everyone went mental and lost his mind cuz to many people absolutely illogical and have a false pride

No you wanteds a free map wide Deerstalker perk without having to actually bring the perk yourself so you could slug for the 4k.

The only one with false pride and being illogical here is you since you wanted a free map wide perk to reward you for free without any of the risk involved.

If you want to slug and don't want that person crawling off then either bring Deerstalker yourself or don't slug them.

  • You can play normally and eat the stun and simply down them 5-10 seconds later for most survivors and the only ones take longer are the really good ones.

If you honestly think the only way to handle DS is to leave them slugged on the ground or camp them then there's really no hope for teaching you anything.

You can dribble them, you can play smart and time your down for closer to a hook in which case DS goes for naught. There's the old pick them up near the basement and let them wiggle out and drop into the basement trick.

There's the let them use ds but pick them up so thy get dropped in a good spot for you to re down them pretty much instantly trick.

Yes it's an annoying perk but it's a 1 time usage perk and after that that perk slot is wasted and that person's screwed the rest of the game.

  • @Master all joking etc aside what would you like to make the game more interesting for you, would longer matches 10ish or so minutes plus be what gets it?

So they have to gen rush to get out, you claim it's boring because you can't get a long match and then claim it's boring the other way if too altruistic.

Does that mean you'd want longer matches then for instances they add secondary objectives but are you going to actually play those longer matches then? Will you simply go afk and derank like you claim for easier matches which is aka boring.

  • @Master said:

Yeah instead we will see a increase of DCs on the killer side

Wait you mean we don't already see killers dcing just because they don't like what the survivors are wearing, what items they bring or that they can't check profiles now?

Oh and your subtle strike wink isn't fooling anyone and with region lock removal and an increased playerbase the complainers can leave and not be missed.

Now of course you'll show your true colors like always and say you'll plan on only playing survivor to screw their lobbies over.

Which is what you said last time which shows you don't care about the community like you claim because if you did you'd never try and justify screwing the rest of the community over by being petty.

  • @JawsIsTheNextKiller said:
It's easy to say that nobody should lobby dodge because of (suspected) SWF, but new killers soon realise the correlation between 4 survivors dropping into the lobby at the same time and the likelyhood of a near-impossible game.

SWFs using comms to relay information is cheating. If a killer was hacking or lag switching, nobody would be telling the survivors to Git Gud.

Yes because 4 dropping in at once is always a guaranteed 4 man swf and now with the new changes you don't know that anymore and once dedicated servers come online you most definitely won't.

Also good grief just stop using that lame excuse, voice isn't cheating no matter how many times you repeat it. You can state that all your want and just like the others saying it it's your opinion only and it doesn't matter.

Just like with camping and tunneling the devs have said it's not cheating, dribbling nope not either and voice is the same.

Also you do no that actual cheating is no where near using voice and by even trying to equal the two you just prove you don't believe what you say but are using that to bolster your weak argument.

Hacking aka modifying actual game files and lag switching which is interrupting your internet connection are considered against the rules.

I wouldn't say "derank to get easier games" I would say "derank to get less toxic games". The higher the rank is the amount of toxic, teabaggers and tryhards SWFs grow exponentially.

That's not really accurate since you'll run into the most toxic players in the purple ranks and ones that'll gladly sandbag their team mates in order to not depip. Those are like silver in League and they'll gladly screw you over if they're going to lose.

At rank 1 you get less tunnelers, campers, sandbaggers, tea baggers, and general toxicity in general because the people that choose to stay there don't tolerate it much.

If I as a killer see someone being toxic to their fellow survivors they're dying no matter what and if i'm a survivor and I see someone teabagging I'm not going to rescue them unless I've got to. The same is true and even more so for sandbagging, if you sandbag a fellow teammate I won't lift a finger to help you in any way.

  • @Master said:

Even if I 4k a toxic SWF without them doing a single gen, I still dont enjoy the game. Survivors DC when they are tunneled and camped too, but for killers other rules hold, I know

Now how often do you actually get a 4 man toxic swf team and not your confirmation bias teams? Also killers dc all the time when you kill their ehx totem, when they can't get someone down because they're not very good etc.

But yes for killers there's always different rules don't do what I say not do do while I do the exact same thing like deranking to 15 for newbie stomping matches.

  • I've been spending pretty regularly and have everyone but Jeff now and have gotten lots of different cosmetics. Sometimes i'll blow shards just to have bp to spend on a P3 character so I can stockpile things like BPS.

Oh and if you own Spirit get her very rare outfit for 21k+ it's amazing on her especially when you get ruthless or better it turns a bloodier red but not like P3.

You shouldn’t be put at a disadvantage since you’re playing SWF- sometimes, the killer needs to learn how to play around it.

swf puts you at an advantage, but god forbid someone suggests balancing that. I guess swf can't learn to just play around that >.>

Balancing it and destroying it because some killers just can't get better are 2 different things and most of the suggestions aren't realistic or balanced.

  • @lasombra1979 said:
I am not a red rank and I say SWF is not a problem. For every one SWF death squad you get, you get 20 SWF morons squads who are screaming at each other and laughing at their friend who just got hooked.

This and I'm going to laugh at all the whiny killers on here once the rank changes finally hit because then you'll not be facing red ranks anymore. You'll be right where you belong and won't have any excuses anymore and will finally have to accept you might need to improve just a bit.

I've got no issue facing swf and they can throw them all into red ranks but guess what that means you won't have a lobby anymore because you have no groups.

I mean imagine that if 70% of the playerbase is swf groups and you move 70% of the player base into 1 rank are common sense and logic would say. You've got 30% of the population trying to cover the other 3 rank brackets meaning your wait times will be excessive.

Now before anyone comes back with the i don't want to be challenged nonsense let me ask this, why the heck are you playing anything but bots if you don't want to be challenged?

Oh you want only solo players well guess what you can and will be challenged by solo players who actually know what they're doing. Then the excuse comes down to insert excuses 1-500 to explain the hypocrisy of your not wanting to be challenged statement.

If you seriously don't want to be challenged then you shouldn't be playing an online asymetrical online horror game. I'm sure more excuses and changes to your arguments will come as you move the goalposts but the bottom line is this.

    SWF ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE

    So your options are to:

1.keep dodging and thus not getting games.
2.Keep complaining about it and making excuses.
3.Accept that you might need to improve and one way to do it is face them and learn to be able to handle them.
4.Try and make actual suggestions on how to improve things instead of complaining incessantly 10=50x a day.
5.Stop saying things you know not to be true like every swf is a sweaty toxic tryhard etc because your argument can't stand on it's own.

It is still kind of hard to guess whether your game will be fun or not only by guessing people at the lobby are SWF.

I play on PS4, I had to start playing killer more because survivor wait time is ridiculous. I’ve had over 30 minutes of waiting for a game that gets dodged right as I join.

Any Killer will tell you that SWF make trials unfun more often than not. It's not a certainty, but if the majority of trials with SWF are unfun because said SWF are actively trying to be toxic, dodging ALL SWF is simply the natural result.

Ok I'm calling bs on this since swf aren't actively trying to be toxic and you and everyone else using that excuse knows it to be false. Yes I know you're using it as an example but it's a flawed excuse to even be used in the 1st place.

The simple fact of the matter is those dodging lobbies assume whether right or wrong there's a swf in it and even if there is over 60% of the time it's only 2 people. So that gives you 2 solo's that should be easy prey especially given the average should be 2 kills.

If all you're going to do is dodge because you think there's a swf what are you going to do when it's 4 solo's that destroy you because you refuse to face 2 swf or get better?

I've had so many games where the killer after getting wrecked or only getting 1 person sac'd would say I should've dodged toxic swf. This despite the fact that the lobby would fill up over an extended period of time one by one.

But there's this dodgma that anytime a killer does bad it's because swf not because they might make mistakes, or the survivors played just a bit better. Let alone if it's 4 solos that know what they're doing the killer can't play badly and expect to 4k.

  • @Rebel_Raven said:
Lemme guess. You run in an swf group?

Swfs aren't fun to play against most times. Doesn't matter if you dodge or not, others can, and will.

Blame the survivors, too. The sweaty, the toxic, and people abusing chat. They want easy games, too.
Survivors depip, have mixed rank swf, and often use third party chat for an edge the game is not balanced around.

Yes blame the survivors like always while ignoring all the killers that play the exact same way or derank to 17 via dcing just to destroy newbs.

If you'd quit making excuses and exaggerating so much you'd see that swf aren't that difficult to play against most of the time. You can use their own altruism against them without camping, you know when they'll go for an unhook.

You'll have a good idea when they'll try to blind you, pallet slame you, blow a gen up to distract you, when they're going to work on certain gens etc.

Did it ever occur to you that people in voice are just there to talk to their friends while playing the game, tell jokes, talk about work, gf etc? YOu somehow magically face depip squads or toxic squads at an impossibly high rate.

In fact your rate of dealing with such squads is theoretically impossible to actually happen with such regularity. Your confirmation bias is making you believe what you repeat to yourself to such a degree that even if you were shown your account stats you wouldn't believe them.

MIT did a study on this that was quite comprehensive where someone's confirmation bias would carry negative feelings from one game over to everyone that follow even if the other games were fine.

What do you mean with difficulty? The game is all about perfect routing and mindgames, bots will never be that good. Bots will always be easy to win against

This is true and the only thing that'd make this worthwhile is really just teaching the basics to newbies like hitting skill checks, when to unhook etc. The rest is all down to actually learning the hard way by trial and error with the latter usually being more prevalent.

  • @Shroompy said:

Didn't think about that, there ain't much you can do for SWF then.

Yes and since most of the player base is swf you really shoot yourself in the foot trying to solve it one way by but cause more issues the other way.

  • Get rid of Ruin you'll be much better in the long run without relying on it.

If you see a more stealthy group camo outfits aka P3 Claudette's Megs Neas etc take Whispers and be aware it triggers on hooked people. You just have to learn to ignore htat white noise so to speak and discern when it's actually finding someone.

BBQ if you're farming but if not Sloppy if no medkits since it really buys you time even with others healing since they're not ong ens anymore.

Franklins if you see more than 2 medkits/toolboxes/flashlights or a combo of 4 items and memorize where you smacked them since they'll always go back to that spot if you lose them.

Bitter Murmur is great for the free tracking both when gens get done and endgame especially if you're using Rancor and or have an Ebony.

Ebony, speaks for itself but even if you forget to use it the mere presence of it will make them play much more careful.

Rancor, great for mind gaming the obsession especially if it's a swf group since you can go one way for those 3 seconds then another entirely.

M&A, this is a great one for her especially if not using her Prayer Beads but with Prayer Beads and Yakuyoke Amulet you can get much much closer before phasing. That makes your jump scares that much more evil and allows you to either get a grab plus hit if more than one of multiple hits.

Brutal I don't bother with since you want to mind game pallets anyways and if you bring Spirit Fury it's wasted and besides if you bring Brutal. You get tempted to destroy pallets you want left up so you can bait survivors into using them.

MYC is awesome on her since you can run off or even phase off from the hook quickly so by the time you're halfway through phasing it'll proc. Yuo cna turn around mid phase usually and head right back to the hook for a free down or 2.

I'd love to see who's a SWF or not but hey, we cannot all have what we want.

Except you can by checking their accounts and friend lists.

    Private profile

Which of course lads to killer dodging because they can't see how many achievements you've got nor hours played. I get dodged on site using default cosmetics and no items just because I prefer to play stealthy, I don't take the campers bait and I don't do unsafe unhooks.

Do you even play DBD at all? You havent been able to see hours for ages now.
Also if the killer dodges a single survivor for whatever reason (even ping), then you will get kicked out of the lobby too

Do you even play, there's this thing called being on someone's friends list which allows you to see hours played. So yes if you have someone added as a friend or you just friend them quickly you can thus see hours played.

Yes because we all know that ping is the only reason killers dodge lobbies and not because they just want to lobby shop or a troll killer here has stated. They've intentionally deranked below 15 just so they can have easy matches against noobs.
