You and several others asked for this. The answer will possibly still be no. Since if this becomes a thing, killers will know you have it and will stick right in front of you until you use it, or you are on second hook. That's just the way it is.

If a killer (other than a leaderface with chainsaw charging) is in front of me, I will use deadhard + DS to escape if possible, it is not that much difficult if hatch or open gates are nearby
so the weakest killer (leatherface) becomes the strongest just for that situationn lol

Most thought they could do that to me. It's simple to wait for Dead Hard and to juggle them back to the hook if they are a few meters away. You are not seeing the big picture here, since chances are if a killer wants you to die, you most likely WILL die.

will depend on how skilled the killer is, baby killerinos may fail miserably

DH won't work, cuz decent killer wait anyway some seconds after a unhook cuz if the new introduced i-frames. You won't escape, period.

The problem varies. But if you are generally within the 12-1 ranks then you get no chance.

true, but non-decent killers will fail miserably
Maybe, hard to tell. They will fall once but never again (unless it's a stupid idiot). But why are you bullying newbies lol

Get this inside your thick survivor head: If you are the last survivor and get hooked You - Will - Die! There is no counter play

its kinda youre fault of been the last survivor you should be the first or second survivor so that the others can do the gens so that if the killer gets you, you have a free escape

LOLOLOLOLOL LEATHERFACE IS WAY STRONGER THAN FREDDY.
All survivors must be treated equally: the last survivor has their right to try escaping from the hook, not to win (probably they will fail), but to get points and a better emblem. About the second phase, it can be omitted, but with full struggling points granted. If some people are against this, then they deserve the killer points for the last hook are at least halved.
I've actually kobe'd off the hook and gottne the hatch because the killer knew i had it and waited to me until the other person sacrifice started. They hooked me thinking I couldn't kboe but because the sacrifice animation hadn't completed i was able to kobe after they ran off.
And then killer will just stay under the hook and it would make the change pointless.
So why should they bother about doing a pointless change when even direly needed change like hiding the killer loadout until the game end took them more than two year to implement when it is just 10 or so line of code?
I'd prefer we not have a match wide safety net. Perks are better left with situational conditions so that some level of intelligence is needed to make use of them. Half of your goal is not to be hooked aftetall.
Assuming you're the last survivor and you got hooked, you probably blew through DS already and either hit or missed it, so I'd rule that out.
As far as DH goes, that's good for one swing. You're still by no means safe, you're only about a meter away. Any half decent killer is going to know you have DH if they've already hooked you, so they can easily bait it out.
So ultimately the killer can just down you immediately and there's still next to no chance you're getting away anyway, unless a brand new killer somehow killed everyone else and then caught you, hooks you, and then fumbles around cluelessly. That's just not something that happens.

in this match the killer went to damage a generator and could have escaped through hatch

Probably went to damage a generator since they knew you were dead. If there was a change that didn't make you die instantly they would probably have stayed to wait.

Right, because you're dead and cannot escape, so they can safely leave and break stuff for points. If you could every killer would stand right there in case you get off. There'd be no reason not to.

nope cuz not every surv would equip deliverance, and greedy killers would go destroying pallets or dameging gens likely not 100% of times

No to 2 minutes holding the game hostage, thanks

No. Point.
Killers (that aren't 20s) would then just stay in front of the hook and wait for you to use it.

This is what I mean
1st hook, deliverance enabled, no chance to use my DH to escape the hatch just behind me
@BACKSTABBER
How did you caught? Instadown? Did the killer know where you were after someone died? Did the last person dc?
is that relevant? dont remember~~
...because hatch mechanics, DS, Adrenaline and actually filling the Deliverance perk criteria normally just is not enough?
It is. Cause probably this wouldn't even be a post if you escaped.
Potential 1,5k BP for a single survivor vs 2 minute holding the game hostage?
The devs made the right decision if you ask me
That sounds like a standoff waiting to happen.

Either way the Killer only has to sit in front of you to make sure you don’t escape, so there shouldn’t be any problem there.
Just take the loss, man.
