You can check out last Q&A where the Designers talked about our plan to make games longer and bring back more things to do for surviors!

In the future, mid-chapter patches are supposed to bring back the standard music (unless there is an event)

Just jumping in to say this: thanks for being a positive and passionate member of our Community!

DS is getting the planned change in the next Mid-Chapter patch. You can consult the latest Q&A session. We had a short talk about it! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaSgsFdGbwjfdawl3rOXiwQ EDIT: Grammar
-
@Dwight_Confusion The Bloodhunt is still happening, we didn't forget you!
-
DbD is in a really good place right now, we are not going anywhere!
The 1 year roadmap was made to give the Community some insight on our plans and reinforce the message that we are committed to the game for AT LEAST one year. As for ideas, this is a non-issue, our creative team has a lot of original ideas to toy with!
-
We got a lot of feedback about lobbies and players seem to love the changes. (and yes, we know, the Clown theme is getting old) Sadly chosing your own lobby theme isn't planned.

Same answer as in the other thread about this:

Players can report that kind of behavior in-game. The player that is experiencing the problem should be the one reporting the issue, no one else. Our team of ACMs will then review the cases and judge if it warrants a ban or not. Our bans are either temporary (with escalation) or permanent (Gameban) depending on the offense. Note that we will not display the outcome of a report to the public (which is why I am not giving details on this specific case today)We ban for Harrassment.
However, we do not ban for streamsniping, if you feel like you are being harrassed on other platforms (Steam, Twitch, YouTube, PS4, XBOX) you should report to the appropriate service. -

Even if it's at the end of the match, it still counts and if you do it enough you'll get a softban. I'd advise against doing it.We do ban for Disconnects. If you pass the threshold, you get a ban. As @Ryuti is putting it, we strongly advise against it. Reminder, rank reset is in 3 days!

Love it! Mind if we share your challenge on our Social Medias? (with credits ofc!)

We have not announced the dates for the next Bloodhunt (2XBP) event but it is planned to happen (SoonTM)
It will not overlap with the Scorching summer BBQ event.Bloody Party Streamers can be used at any time so you do what you think is best with them! BBQ Invites however will be disabled when the event ends. You can use the BBQ invites for bloodpoint boost during the Scorching Summer BBQ event. Not only it gives you BP but it also helps fellow players towards their event goal

Last week's cosmetics have been advertised on social media this week because last wednesday, most players were unable to log in the game, it felt a bit off to share the news at the time. Normally we push the news the same day of the release but last week was a special case.

Sorry you experienced this issue.

You can open a ticket at support.deadbydaylight.com and they will help you out.

Then you have your answer! Have fun out there!

You get the DG mask in DBD when you own Deathgarden on Steam.
If you had a pre-order, you should have received a steam code by email.
If you have the Beta version it won't work. -
Hello! I would need a clarification.
Did you not receive the DbD masks in DG or the DG masks in DBD?
That would help me out knowing which team I gotta ask

Play with the Devs is just an opportunity to kick back and enjoy playing the game we are working on with the Community. This is not a competition nor it is a display of skills. Within the DEV team, as well as in the playerbase, we can see players with different skill levels.

Thanks for being a shiny ray of sunshine @Nickenzie

We are going to open more Moderator position SoonTM!
There are a lot of changes incoming in the Community team and adding more Mods is part of it!Stay tuned! (it will be announced on the forums!)

Now, on to my questions: Is there a reason specifics are never shared regarding the disconnect bans? What is the % that gets a ban? Is it calculated over a specific peruod of time (e.g. last 2 weeks)? Is the team interested in feedback regarding these metrics and/or have they looked at how other games handle disconnects? Finally, are there any plans to change or update the disconnection ban system? Thanks in advance for the reply! I understand if the answer is "that's classified", but I would like to know if the lack of info is intentional.
We do not share the specifics (% / ratio / period of time) because we do not want players to abuse that information. We have explored different ways other games handle disconnects and made changes based on new information and our system limitations. We are also working on player reports and ban information to improve the player experience.

Hey @slingshotsurvivor !
Good to hear that the communication was appreciated!
I am nowhere near technical enough to answer all your questions but I will transfer your post to the technical team, they'll appreciate the feedback! -
@Doomspooge and @FoggyWeather_ are right! The game downloads in ''chunks'' and allows you to play the tutorial while it downloads the rest. You finished your tutorial before the download so you are locked out. If you wait a little, the issue should be fixing itself. Please contact support.deadbydaylight.com if the issue doesn't resolve!
-
@deathdoer1 It is something we are aiming to change in the upcoming Chapter! If you are on PC, you will be able to test the feature in a future PTB before it goes live. Make sure to give us feedback then!

I'll move your post in Balance Feedback discussions. -

We ban for disconnects
We do not ban systematically if you leave only one game, we ban players that leave more than a % of their games over a certain period of time. We are aware disconnecting is a problem and can ruin the game experience. Repeating offenders are getting increased bans.
We have automated bans for hacks and cheats
We always have people working on new detection tools.
We have a team reviewing in-game reports, chat logs and investigating hacks / cheats
We have enough information to make a decision and investigate cases of hacks and cheats as well as harrassment and greifing. Video evidence isn't necessary for every case but can make the investigation faster when we can access it. We are also working on a feature that will allow the players to give more evidence, if they want, through the in-game report.
EDIT: Typo
-
In-game player reports on hacking are investigated. Cheats can be detected by an automated system or through investigation of these reports. Video proof is an additional proof that can facilitate the investigation but isn't necessary for most case.
We do receive a high amount of false in-game reports for cheating / hacking, sometimes caused by game mechanic incomprehension or player frustration. These reports are discarded and cleared from your player profile. If you didn't cheat, you won't be punished.
-
Please use the in-game report system. We keep the chat logs and review reports to handle that kind of situation.
If you are on console, sadly we are not able to ban players yet. The feature is planned on this year's roadmap so it's coming SoonTM. If you receive abusive messages from users on console, please contact PS4 or XBOX support. Thank you! -
Hello!
I am not sure where the video / game settings lands on the roadmap but I will bring your feedback to the team!In the meantime, some TVs and monitors have the option to play mirrored images and inverted images. This is not a perfect set up (because your UI will be inverted too) but it might be helping a bit. It is normally buried in your TV settings.
Thank you for your feedback!

I really want to make two quick points. @not_QueenMake it so that the perk Vigil doesn't follow the new exhaustion change. That is, players will still be able to recover while running, if Vigil is equipped. Note that, even though Vigil is active, it will still take twice as much time to recover if the survivor is running.
Exhaustion pause should be limited to running while getting chased. This would not give survivors a virtual button to hold on to sprint burst while running when not in a chase.
Thanks for the feedback, will relay to the design team!
-
Right now it is a lot faster to earn Iridescent Shard through player level than it was previously through game time. This is why the prices have been adjusted!

The official answer to Dedicated Server a few months back was NO.
The answer now is, we are considering it.The reason why we were saying a strict no before was because we were certain we wouldn't have enough resources to pull it off. We are currently scoping what it would take in terms of time, resources, technical demands to see if it is possible for us to make it happen.
As @AsePlayer mentionned, it is easier to build a new game on a server system than reprogramming a peer to peer game to a server based game which is the reason DG got Dedicated Servers.
-
If I am not mistaken, there is further plans to better the Devotion system. Let me ask around

-
Thanks guys! The QA team and the engineers are watching this post closely, keep the info flowing!
