4 survivors slugged at the exit gate, and all of them hooked in the last 60 seconds?
Even with NOED, which is clearly in play, and no one running BT, that situation would be almost in impossible to replicate even if you tried. You'd have to down, pick up and hook each survivor with less than 15 seconds between hooks, and still have all of them unhooked and down again within 60 seconds of the first unhook...
I call BS.

Congrats!
-
Played a match recently and had another survivor who kept running in front of other survivors during a chase and trying to body block them, or crouched in a pallet to so they couldn't drop it or loop.
No clue why someone would do that, but I'm guessing it's on YouTube or Twitch somewhere.

Go look at the PTB patch notes. Find one where a new killer didn't get adjustments. Then you can come back and show us how your post isn't just a bunch of hyperbolic whining.

I just don’t get the point of being able to see your own scratch marks.. how is that ever gonna be useful for the survivor? Other than that I like all the perks and as a killer main I think they’re balanced.
I think it makes for a really great trainer perk, like Window of Opportunity. I'm looking forward to running it so I can learn to counter the Spirit.
-
No one gets pallets but me! Only I deserve them cuz I have mad skills! But getting to rank 1 is so hard...
Just wow.
-
Did I miss something? Two of the killer perks look like meta candidates to me.
-
I wonder how it interacts with Iron Maiden...
-
I read this 5 times and still have no idea what it means.
-
I get why you can't sell them back, but it I wish you had an option to just delete them and get them out of your inventory without having to take them into matches and waste them just to clean up.
-
Just for context, I took a break from the game shortly after spirit was released and every other post on the forums was about what weak, trash, Freddy-class killer BHVR had released.
Fast forward to a few months later with no really significant buffs in the patch notes and she's S rank, second only to nurse, and every other post on the forums is about nerfing her.
In other words, even when it drops, give it time. The only constants in this game are the NOED and tunnel/camp rage posts.
-
Just make totem cleansing mandatory so we can finally see the last of the daily NOED posts. Two birds, one stone!
-
On behalf of high rank survivor potatoes everywhere, I would like apologize to you for our shenanigans, but we do sincerely appreciate you keeping the killer busy while we crouch around the map and SC in the corner.
Seriously, though, after taking a long break from the game (since shortly after the Spirit was released), I'm finding pipping back down from the noob ranks much easier now than I was last week, since more skilled players are forced into matches at my rank!
-
Btw, I actually think it's a neat idea and would love to see something more in interesting around totems, that just has too many unintended consequences.
-
Maybe, but they've been struggling with totem placement for years and we don't want to distract them, do we? =)
-
True, but I've never played a match without at least one dull totem next to a gen. It might work in the killer's favor once in a while, but the vast majority of the time it would not.

It doesn't show auras otherwise the locker would be a counter. Feral Frenzy shows the beating hearts of survivors which is why Legion can also find people who're hiding in lockers.
Even better! Thanks for the correction, I have obviously never played Legion.
-
All I'm thinking is that no one will ever have to find a totem again, just leave an easily accessible dull totem around while you work gems, etc. When it lights up, buh-bye hex.
This basically nerfs ruin into the ground, along with all other hexes that aren't NOED.

Ya was playing legion but he would hit me and then run directly at another survivor and I could see all of this because I was using the empathy perk
When Legion hits with Frenzy, it shows the aura of any survivors that don't have the deep wounds status effect, so that explains it.

Shirtless David with WGLF
Pizza Dwight with Head On
Any Meg with a flashlight and fast vault
Claudette with a med kit and missed healing skill checks
Feng without technician when ruin is up

Any form of modification to game files can potentially trigger EAC and result in a ban. I think this is a gray area where the devs will only say "do it at your own risk" and wont reverse a ban if you get nailed. Similar to other minor mods like coloured perks.
-
+1Peanits said:While I don't mean to steal your thunder, I also want to suggest a third option:
- Remove the bloodpoint bonus from both, make that passive for everyone.
- Add an effect to WGLF.
That way the end result is the same (faster progression for everyone), except that way you're not forced into using a specific perk just to level up faster. BBQ and Chili is a perfectly good perk on its own, you don't need extra bloodpoints to make it more desirable. I'd rather have that be a passive increase across the whole game. That way you're free to use another perk if it doesn't fit your playstyle.

I think Jack nailed. Solid game as surv - 30k BP right now. Solid game as killer - 75k BP.Jack11803 said:@Esheon said:
Peasant said:Personally I find the increased killer queue time ridiculous for 1 key reason. People said the Spirit would be bad all during the lead up to her release. Now she's here and even worse "whooshing sound" + insta blind. Yet I can't get a lobby because y'all are playing . . .
. . . a bad killer? Dwuh?!No, they're playing their normal killers and spending all their BP to unlock The Spirit's perks.
Hence way survivor BP profit being too low is a problem, that several people here are denying

Answer to the original question: The devs.
-
Dead Hard is also slang for "really tough".
-
"As you can see from the x-ray, Mr. Generator, you appear to have some kind of malignant growth. We'll need to operate immediately. Nurse!"
-
Totally agree here. Other survivors running it would simply have wasted a perk slot for the round. They even have a chance on lobby to ask if anyone else is running DS and switch if needed.Jack11803 said:Should still let you free, but only obsession can use it, everyone else can get screwed. (Its OPness is supposed to be a counter to being tunneled and mori’d for dying light etc; why does everyone get it!?)
I'm a surv main, I guess (I play about 2:1 surv vs killer) and I'd be fine with this from both perspectives. -
I could be wrong, but I believe the RBT has to be activated, so if it is placed after the last gen is done then the survivir can still escape.
If this not the case, then I'll report the bug, because I have video of me escaping with an inactive RBT that was placed just outside the exit gates.
Also, the hatch is a free escape, RBT or not. This should really be changed. -
To be fair, pretending there are "sides", rather than individuals that play this game, is intellectually dishonest. And the argument over which role is played by more toxic players is irrelevent.Giche said:I see the kind of posts he quoted everywhere on this forum.
And pretending that both side are equally toxic is intellectually dishonnest.
Toxicity is the issue. This is not unlike arguing about which neighborhood has the highest crime rate, while simultaneously labelling all residents of the "other" neighborhood as criminals, rather than addressing the actual crime.
Make sense? -
I am in total agreement. No point in arguing about what arbitrary group is worse, let's all just make it a point to 1) Report it every time and 2) not respond in kind and become a part of the problem.SenzuDuck said:@Mycroft said:
Nope folks, both sides are toxic. You're right, they absolutely are.

It is there to shame you into going outside every once in a while.

So... two perk slots to get one useful effect that can still be easily countered or cancelled entirely.Peanits said:Now I'm not going to say everything about totems is perfect, but every other post I see has someone claiming Hex: Ruin is a must use perk. So staying as objective as possible, I don't think they're that bad. I'm totally down for some better totem spots, with TOTH, it's fairly easy to keep tabs on it.
Why is the answer to every complaint, "use another perk slot"? You only get 4, but to use all the perks suggested to fix basic game mechanic flaws, you would need: Franklins (toolboxes & flishlights), Ruin & ToTH (gen rish), Lightborn (flashlights), Enduring (DS), Bamboozle (double vaults), brutal strength (looping and excesice pallets), agitation (with the upcoming sabo "fix")... the list goes on....
I for one would be perfectly happy with a mid-chapter, or even a full chapter, that contained nothing but basic map and mechanics fixes, maybe even ranking/matching fixes and DC punishments. Instead we get lots a of new cosmetics and more band-aid/useless perks and another awesome looking but ultimately weak killer that suffers from the same broken mechanics the community has been citing for 2 years. -

Freddy and Doc - I'm a stealth player.

Sprint or use an emote the shrug them off.
-
How about this for a vigil effect - exhaustion recovers normally while running. Vigil has no effect during a chase or for 3 seconds after escaping a chase (to prevent it working during a chase when LOS is "broken" frequently by the strange chase mechanics").
This would make it really strong and worth a perk slot without undoing the point of the exhaustion nerf. -
My 2 cents:
The RBTs apply pressure really effectively late game, but suck early on. This would change would ruin late game pressure but allow a more evenly applied pressure throughout the match.
I could go either way, tbh.
At the very least, I think this should be an ulta-rare add-on to change up play style. -
How about switching the dedicated servers, adding a ping filter, fixing ranks/matching and punishing DCs. Once all that is done, dodging probably wont be an issue anymore, but if it, then sure, punish dodgers.
Otherwise all you're asking for is more DCs and wasted offerings. -
The spirit looks amazing, the feel of the power is great, and the shard katana animation is epic.
All that said, I'll be playing Wraith. -

Grats, OP! One more rank for the achievement!

Because the ctrl key occassionally gets stuck when crouching and I have to mash it get the damn thing to let me sprint again. And also to say hi or thank you to other survs.

And not because of BBQ, which you might be able to make a case for, but because the chainsaw is too OP. It was amusong to see everyone try to respond without just flaming.SnakeSound222 said:

I think it should automatically activate when the hatch opens. No more stand-offs!
-
She overwhelms the survivor with disappointment and turns into a samurai killer instead.
-
Sounds like a pretty sweet bug. "Bank error in your favor!"

When will the devs just sanction SWF voice comms so we can at least move on to arguing about how to balance instead of whether it should exist? I can't be the only one tired of the endless "SWF is cheating" and "remove SWF" threads that go nowhere.
I enjoy playing solo and swf with my friends and, to be honest, I don't think the difference is that big. In fact, I usually do better solo because I'm not distracted by voice chat and I'm not being stupidly altruistic to save a friend who is being camped.
