That does kinda seem like cheating. Making the killer have a larger red stain can be a big deal in some situations.
ik reason why i wonder if they ban people that mod ######### like that.

Would half slowdown and half tracking perks be a decent balance? I was thinking of a Ruin/PGTW/BBQ/Discordance build.
I mainly play around green ranks, so this would work for me I think.
that is a good build,i would use the addons that give me the teleportation charge back faster, the green one and the yellow one or just one of the two and a slowdown addon or nothing else

What was his rank? Sounds like he might've been between purple and green ranks.
for me it was a red rank,it was rancid abbatoir tho.A farm map, chases are alot harder especially with that god loop window. He did chases and mindgames otherwise well tho

Nice work. That makes me wonder if it's better playing stealthy against him, unless there's someone in your team that is optimal at looping and keeping the killer distracted for two minutes.
as long as he doesn't get those stacks early,u should be good :D
-

I have faced that build with a SWF group, wasn't a problem, we got all gens done.
that build kinda depends on the factor how fast the killer gets down so he can get alot of dying light stacks. But swf can beat any build in the game imo

@Xerge said:
In my opinion, going against a slowdown Freddy is boring and frustrating as hell, you barely feel you are making any progress as survivor. I still haven't been able to escape from that build. Anyone else has?
i just went against it for the first time, and all 4 escaped. He couldn't catch anyone for 3 gens at the start so he couldn't get any stacks of dying light nor thana from it.

It takes you to level 47 of the rift to pick up all the serum needed to unlock six Blight cosmetics. I was just wondering if anyone was close or had gotten there and how long it has taken you.

i am at level 39 atm

I'm bumping this thread. I have recently returned to Dead By Daylight because I really like the game but I'm honestly thinking about leaving again after playing on this map as a killer. It's so unbalanced and it's sad that they haven't fixed it since I first made this thread.
1 map made you think about leaving the game?Nice.Besides that, why is that map SO problematic?Only problem i find with it is that one barn window

So far I have yet to see survivor get to end game collapse by doing generators and it's in red ranks?
Anyone know how the numbers?
i know its defo not more than 50% i would guess around 40%-49% MAX

For me it's gen speeds : and for some reason I get more annoyed by them whenever I play survivor rather than killer as gens seem to fly by so fast I sometimes can't get certain healing and unhooking dailies/archives as a survivor
Me missing an attack when the survivor is soooooo close : standard stuff, I just feel like an idiot
Matching with people in countries like Spain so the ping is horrendus : I play in England, tbh I'm still waiting on a Zimbabwe bubba : infinity war to happen
bullshit map design, like iron works window, suffocation pit one etc you get the point and people literally putting haddonfield and just abusing the balanced landing

Survivors are too used to being in total control at the majority of loops. Between 3rd person camera, most Killer's hight, and the red stain being seen through walls, Survivors are used to a plethora of information that keeps them from making mistakes. Spirit excels at loops and that's why Survivors hate her.
red stain doesnt go through walls anymore with the newest engine update

I have been playing DBD for a year now & I have ranked from 20-4 in Survival mode & as a killer I rank from 20-12. I admit as a killer I am not that good but i can give survivors a good challenge when I am. When I am the killer its Michael, The clown comes in 2nd place these are the only killers I use.The other killers I have tried just to get a better perspective of how they work & become a better Survivor.
My problem with the Wraith as a SURVIVOR is....he's too EASY because of his cloaking....yes hes not completely invisible but its invisible enough that when you are looking around you can't easily see him at all & when you least expect it hes right next to you ringing his bell....granted he can't hurt you when hes ringing the bell but hes close enough to you that by the time hes done ringing the bell even if you start running hes still has a major head start on you. You really have to focus on your surroundings to be able to see him cloaked add the tree's fog etc... this killer has it really simple.
When i tried him as a KILLER.....Even more easier...i could just disappear using the Trees/Walls/Fog as cover I can easily sneak up on Survivors ring my bell to appear whether they were working on engines or just walking/kneeling in the game. It was amazing to see how easily it was & I only had one perk during the times I tried him to learn about him i believe it was the bloodhound perk level 1.
EVERY SURVIVOR unless there was more than 1 together was always surprised when i appeared because they never saw me...? That's how hard it is to see this killer....even as a survivor if I am the 1st to die I SPECTATE to see how other survivors react...& I have yet to see a survivor react & move before he is seen when he is cloaked....every survivor looks shocked or runs into him as they are playing (this scenario is funny to see.)
Add the PERKS to this killer and your asking for a easier killer...I try my best when i face this killer & depending on the type of team I have i will try even harder to survive if my team is trying but if its not looking like like that...then i just tap out & get ready for the next match.
I think this killer's cloaking needs to be changed or modified in a way to make it easier on survivors and harder as a killer....
Any tips or ideas let me know....thanks.
another troll huh

window hits werent an issue till the vaults got constantly nerfed.
you'd be surprised how killers will hit you through pallets and windows
this has never been fixed as devs stated that nothing wrong with it
although the clips eevrywhere can show how BS vaults and pallets became
also I noticed with dedi servers the reach of killers is more BS.
thats my personal opinion
exactly lunges hit you alot further on vaults and when vaulting pallets they legit hit you while you are vaulting and are already on the other side of the pallet. It looks bs even on killers screen lmao
-
@Peanits said:
Medium vaults will not keep your momentum. You come to a complete standstill right next to the window.
Fast vaults will keep momentum. You'll land a little ways away from the window. Changing directions after fast vaulting will cause you to lose momentum though (i.e. You vault and immediately start running left or right, not straight).
Otherwise, getting hit might cause the game to "lag back" (it's correcting your position to what the server sees), or having a weak connection might cause a bit of delay between what you see and where the server sees you.
its the lag back i know the difference between medium and fast vaults i learned that in 2k hours atleast.I get it now tho

its to strong on spirit,it completely removes her only counter IMO

I think breathing is removed too. You are silent while being injured. If you would still make any noises except fast actions, the perkwould be useless.
true aswell

I know that at some point in time DEVS said its not an exploit neither its a reportable thing
but is it really fair to keep this thing in the game ?
Ruin is already a very RNG based perk and I personally think it DOES not stand for more than 1 gen or even less !!! 90 % of the times.
this game is evolving in a very astonishing way thanks to the devs and all the hard work with dlc's and events.. silly things such tapping should not stay in this game IMO.
stay safe in the FOG ladies and gents <3
It takes AGES to do ruin while gen tapping,so yeah i don't see a problem there. Also only bad survs do it cause they can't hit greats so yeah be grateful for that it's doing it's job at slowing the game down, also idk why are you even using ruin, use dying light with thana much better combo
-
@Faceless said:
Every match I have received hits that should not, through walls, jumping window. It's just something that makes me very frustrated
They said it was because of latency, now with dedicated servers in live the problem is still the same playing with 60 ping.
Hilbilly chainsaw, huntress ax, are examples of absurd hits
i get hit over pallets alot more than before. It feels like the lunge on pallets goes ALOT further literally to the other side of the pallet
-

Do you as Killer abide by the Survivor's Rules for Killers? Meaning ALWAYS go as far as possible from the hook, NEVER EVER run NOED, NEVER EVER rehook/chase a recently unhooked survivor.
depends on the situation,if i got alot of hooks already and i'm in a good spot i will follow the survivor's rules but if i'm on the backfoot i won't

i play a survivor and i feel as though the game benefits killers too much ill give a few examples
- downing someone with one shot. they're down to the ground from a singular shot. ruins the fun for a survivor big time, basically just a killers game at that point,
- 2. cant recover on the ground without help. once you're down thats it. if someone else is down too you're finished,
- killer using offerings that overrides survivor offerings. for example my cat tingling sense offering is over ridden all the time and the killer is just there with no warning, if they have an offering that overrides it then its useless to a survivor
- warning music starts waayyy too late now.
- using weapons to kill not hooks. in my opinion this shouldn't be a part of the game, ruins the fun completely and destroys what the game is about , how can you survive if they just kill you on the spot giving no opportunity to be rescued?
- being able to see exactly where someone is on the map . ive had a killer put a survivor on a hook not even close to me and ive been in the basement already in a cupboard yet he comes all the way to the basement and to the exact cupboard, no offering should give a player that much advantage
and those are my examples .
are u a rank ######### 20?Please try killer at red ranks and see how any of these are "killer sided".

i havent seen a cheater since 2018 lmao

Some general tips for clown:
- You can hit your bottle on a high surface level and make the cloud expand in the air until it reaches the ground, giving you a bigger AOE than usual. Very helpful on loops like the cow tree loop on Coldwind maps, where the cloud can cover the entire loop.
- When trying to land a hit on survivors in a loop, you can get value out of bottles even if survivors don't walk into the cloud simply by zoning them off of windows and other obstacles, forcing them to take bad pathing and give you a pallet or a hit.
- Be aware of when it's safe to reload bottles as the downtime from reloading them is massive and can cause you to lose a lot of pressure.
- Direct bottle hits cancel channeled survivor actions like healing, repairing, unhooking, etc. Practicing landing direct hits is good just for this as it can completely change the pace of a match by cancelling one of these actions.
As for add-ons:
- Thick Cork Stopper. Helps a lot with having less downtime on reloading bottles so you can continue to pressure.
- Sticky Soda Bottle/Cheap Gin Bottle. More bottles means more freedom with using them and also slows down how quickly you're going to have to deal with the awful downtime of reloading bottles.
- Solvent Jug. One of his best add-ons due to how quickly it can end chases because the survivor can't use their exhaustion perk.
- Flask of Bleach. A favorite add-on for many for good reason: it makes survivors super slow and paired with Solvent Jug, a survivor can't really break out of the slow, giving you a pallet or hit very fast if you're skilled with Clown.
- Redhead's Pinky Finger. Good and fun add-on to use if you can land the direct bottle hits. I'd probably recommend a map offering with this one, though, as some maps can be a pain for landing a direct hit.
For builds:
- Hex: Ruin, Brutal Strength/Enduring, Discordance/Whispers/BBQ, Sloppy Butcher (Franklin's if there's a lot of items). Super basic build, will help you with learning how to play the killer without having to worry about perks as they all help you passively.
- Hex: Ruin, Pop Goes the Weasel, Save the Best for Last, Discordance/Whispers/BBQ/Tremors. Very safe and consistent build.
- Pop Goes the Weasel, Hex: Devour Hope, Hex: Haunted Ground, Discordance/Whispers/BBQ/Tremors. Way more advanced build for when you're super experienced with playing Clown and killer in general, but can definitely work for a hyper aggressive build that can snowball fast and make survivors panic.
Note that Clown has a lot of different perks that work well with him, leading to many different builds, so don't be afraid to shift perks around until you find something you really like.
i will defo try some of ur builds/tips in my clown games, thank you!

@Marcus said:
Flask of Bleach is a must on him.
Exhaustion add-ons or reload time add-ons are also really good.
Brutal Strength + Save The Best For Last is pretty decent on him.
Clown is the weakest killer in the game. So be prepared to get gen rushed with him even when you have 4 anti gen perks.
believe me i am so used to genrush due to all the time i spend playing it i dont even care anymore xD.Thank you for the tips and imma try that brutal strengt+STBFL combo

This is literally the biggest, most ginormous brainlet post I've seen yet. Though I do think the survivor should get some sort of compensation in BP for getting camped like, for having the killer with 20M after being hooked for 10 seconds you get 100 BPs in all categories every 8 seconds
that idea with getting 100Bp per x amount of time sounds wonderful :F

just move on to the next match, get over it.After you get a ton of hours you get used to it,and how does someone spamming crouch button annoy someone lmao,i always get toxic survivors and got used to it,and it is just a way of saying i beat you, unless they trash talk in postgame chat thats kinda disrespectful.

@Auron471 said:
Yeah yeah its been said a million times by now. N3rF SpiRiT.
Ok in all seriousness her basekit is fine. The only problem i have with her is prayer beads. Her power now doesnt give any audio warning to survivors, which would be fine if there were more visual warnings such as grass moving or the mist warping.
Ok, so me and the spirit were standing on opposite sides of a dropped pallet. She stands still. I didnt have spine chill so i was like "ok ill just stare at the grass". the grass didnt move when she walked past them, so i died. Honestly prayer beads dont need a change so long as the spirit actually moves the grass around more consistently.
But then that raises the issue of maps that dont have much grass on them such as the Game or Hawkins Lab. Perhaps she should have a VERY subtle warping effect on the mist, thus rewarding survivors with a good eye and good reaction times.
Spine Chill: This is a great perk to run vs the spirit. But... what if you dont have it equipped? The survivors need to be able to have some indication that shes coming so that they aren't forced to just blindly guess.
I genuinely dont think she is OP she is for the post part quite balanced. She just needs to move grass when phasing and have a very subtle blur for maps that dont have much grass.
The only reason people hate her is because of the luck element that comes with going against her.
Also, if the devs made it so that she doesnt move grass intentionally... i ask, if she collides with survivors why doesnt she collide with grass? or the mist for that matter?
i mean you just got outplayed just git GUD(jk thats just dumb to say)I agree prayer beads DO need some kind of downside thats the only problem i see with it,or just nerf em.Collision helps spirits too much aswell IMO.Also never try to play pallets with spirits thats just gonna get you killed
