If were talking right now, its got to be Wraith. He's got great addons and he's actually pretty strong now when used properly. Love the hit and run style he brings + just being able to cloak and get to a loop to cut a survivor is satisfying.
As for survivor, my home girl Meg will always be my #1. I like her animation, she doesn't scream very loudly or have any irritating voice effects. She brings 3 amazing perks to the table right off the bat and Megs are just traditionally known as the ones who are good at loops/chases. Couldn't say the same about Claudettes.
In my experience megs are not that great at loops. Most Claudette's i run into give the business. I literally can't chase them early game. I seek out the weaker links. Not all megs are meg-heads but most of the megs I run into are very inept.

Also I think most people were being accused of hate FOR killing people with the charm. So this is prob why they stopped.

Please remember to keep your comments towards others civil, you can disagree without getting disrespectful with one another.
And as there has been some confusion, REPEATED, targeted harassment is if the same killer tunnels the same survivor throughout several games and ONLY them, without ever changing targets, with the goal to get the person out of the game immediately. This can be reportable with or without the charm, as it always has been. Also, if the Killer states in post game it was because of the charm, this can also be reported. At the end of the day, if you play by the rules, you will be fine.
For more information, you can view the Game rules here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules
What if that is the legit strategy of the killer? To kill someone as fast as possible , and it just so happens to be that person? I mean I know a lot of killers who will do this to any survivor they catch first. This is why i ask.

I would also like to point out that 300k really isnt enough

I absolutely despise this add on. I always have.
It’s now significantly worse to deal with now that Wraith can get much, much closer before seeing his shimmer both because of his base speed increase, and the distance at which he has total invisibility.
Everything else with Wraith i’d say is balanced, but “All Seeing” - Blood is just awful, and unfair.
Idea.
What if it were changed to compliment one Wraiths unique existing base abilities?
“All Seeing” - Blood. While cloaked the auras of disturbed crows are revealed to you.
Because Wraith doesn’t disturb crows while cloaked, this could act as map wide Spies, with actual survivor counterplay to be more stealthy around perched crows.
Definitely agree here. Being able to wall hack and be super quick AND invis is a bit much imo.

Decisive strike rewards survivors for failing and goind down.
Borrowed time rewards survivors for brainlessly rushing the hook save.
Dead hard rewards survivors for pressing a button.
This game is no stranger to rewarding people for doing nothing.
I get that but all three of these have some type of counter. Yes I am aware it was just released but form the looks of it if the zombie spawns at the loop you are taking a hit nmw you do as survivor. Mind you I play killer mostly I just don't like getting free downs if i don't do something to earn them.
-
@ChantyBoi said:
Wait until you hear about dead hard. That doesn't just reward for nothing, it rewards for actively screwing up!
I get that but Dead hard as annoying as it is can only be used once per chase mostly. These zombies can spawn anywhere no matter how many times you kill them. Say I kill them as nemesis they will spawn quite quickly and usually near where the survivors are. I am sure its just RNG but most of the time they are near survivors.
-
@Jivetalkin13 said:
I like to think of them as roaming traps. What you lack in control over them, they make up for in lethality. You can herd a survivor into one and get them infected/injured/downed and all outcomes are good. If a survivor is downed by one just by itself, that is their own fault and will learn from the experience, if not, tough.
Im just saying they literally take some of the killers skill out of the equation. Ive chased survivors in a clean area and poof a zombie spawns in the loop causing the survivor to either run away and allow me a free hit or run into the zombie and get hit lose lose for the survivor. I just don't feel like I did much in these scenarios and that the survivor is screwed even if outplayed. Although I do enjoy when a survivor dead hards to avoid my M1 and then immediately gets hit by a zombie lurking around the corner of the pallet or doorway

Hmm. Fortunately I won't be too badly affected but that still sucks. It's a waste of time at the very least, and a huge headache for those who really kitted out all of their characters.
I had cosmetics on all of my characters killers/survivors and some were glitched.
-
I bet they knew what they were doing when they made it reset everything.

Thats so silly. I put time into Selecting Literally Every characters Cosmetic and some of them were mixed and matched with legendary. Sure not supposed to be but it doesnt hurt anyone to have it mixed like that. Im super upset with this.

Just listen for the sound that's, usally how you tell if anything is near you,lit totems,killers,survivors,the hatch ?
Can't hear sheet when you are in chase tho. Just would be a bit better if you could see them with the map.

That's not what happened but okay.
The most they talked about it, bevause it was an internal test not one made to provide evidence to the playerbase, was on a stream when asked in a QnA. The full answer is somewhere in my list of discussions, however off the top of my head I remember them saying that there wasn't really much difference in the ending of chase times. A lot of killers would use their powers in chase and so Bloodlust didn't really matter, and many survivors were looping instead of holding w (in my experience) which lead to more stuns + pallet breaking, again making the missing Bloodlust not really matter. Kill rates remained consistent.
Thank you for this. I appreciate it.

@Laluzi said:
I'm guessing not. They're characters, which maps have never tracked, and they're classified as 'special enemies' rather than traps.
theres gotta be some type of tell that they are nearby imo. Even if it has to be a map.

Weren't killer adepts 4ks originally, and changed because moris made that way too easy? Because moris have no effect on the speed or ease of removing survivors anymore, and it's a well-beaten ex-horse by now why the emblem system is so terrible for this purpose. I don't think I need to reiterate every argument on why emblems are inconsistent and unfair; it should be changed back to be more on par with survivor adepts.
either or imo. I just think it should be equal between the two roles.

Would love a change to killer adepts. Make it a simple 4k again! Or change adepts in general to the following:
*While using the killers 3 unique perks...* and allow you to use a random 4th perks. Give us slow downs or something idk...
I would like that as well. But I still think Survivors should have to Double Pip as well.

Yeah, if not for the huge queues I'd play with crossplay off all the time. Better teammates, better killers and killer matches are actually challenging. When MMR worked the matches were actually quite similar to how crossplay off works.
But were all the players on PC? Or was it mixed? If it was mixed it is apparent that there are a lot of people who play this on console. I run into 4stack console players all the time and woof Never played a team like them
-
@Pepsidot said:
From the UK here. Have been playing with cross-play off for about a week now and the difference between cross-play on matches is big. Teammates are better, killers are a lot more experienced. I'm consistently playing with others with 1k+ hours. It's pretty much just Nurse/Blight every game, but still a fun challenge.
@SquillDBD said:
If you're an experienced Dead by Daylight player from North America, Play on PC, and want matches that'll give you a similar feeling to High MMR, queue with Crossplay off. You will get genuinely more challenging matches / better teammates with crossplay off. It'll hold those looking to play with people their own skill level up until SBM comes out.
I have a feeling this console vs pc crap is about to come back!!! Please god tell me I am wrong!!!

@Kebek said:
His lunge is exactly the same lenght as before the movement speed buff, it was bugged which made it shorter but before the bug happened it was exactly same lenght as it is now. They adjusted uncloaking movement speed to match with the added movement speed of 150% so it wasn't buffed at all, he was like this for a long time just less mobile and far less popular.
Ofc once he got popular and people started to lose to him, the cycle reapeted itself and now he's suddently problematic and needs to be trashed again when he's only pretty decent killer, nowhere near the power level of actual meta killers.
Old Freddy was overtuned and deserved a couple small nerfs, new wraith is not on the level of newly nerfed freddy so no, he doesn't need any nerfs to anything. He's just fine the way he's now.
You counter him with basic looping when out of cloak, not saying out of position and his lunge by having good reaction time around pallets and windows. All the tools for fair counterplay survivors love so much are there, yet far too many still complain (overall, not this thread specifically) just because they can.
Oh yeah i'm not complaining at all. I was just putting out my opinion on it. Maybe I need to play against him more and figure out where i am going wrong. I just feel like in a sense its drop the pallet or get hit and in some cases even then you are getting hit. I have been against some where I make the right read but when i do it only feels like a 50 50 as he can either go one way or the other, and if you choose wrong you are done for.

I literally can't answer this subjectively, since I'm very biased towards Wraith. I've mained him for the past three years (with my co-mains switching between Ghostface, Oni, and now Demo). But I'll try.
I think he's fine, mostly. I think he has some add-on problems, All-Seeing Blood is ridiculous now, and Coxcombed takes away his only tell. I can see why people have a problem with the lunge, even though I've never had issues with it. But that's probably because I know how to play against Wraith because I play him so much. But like I said, I'm biased towards Wraith, and I will admit that. I also understand not liking the Hit and Run playstyle. I personally don't play like that much, unless I'm basically forced too. I prefer a more aggressive style of play.
The one complaint I don't get is that he destroys short loops, which while true... He could do that before, and so can a decent portion of the Killer-cast. Doctor and Clown shut down short loops completely, if it's short enough Trickster, Huntress, and Slinger can just shoot over them. That is the only complaint I don't get. Long loops still destroy Wraith if you play well enough.
If BHVR decided to tone him down, I wouldn't be angry really. All I want is for them to just make it so he's not add-on dependent again.
As i said The only problem i have with him is that speed after uncloaking. And agreed his addons are definitely strong now. Taking the only tell you have against him is a tough for any survivor imo. And adding windstorm on top of his new speed is even worse. I do agree with what you are saying here but, I definitely think they should rethink his addons at this point.

Lately I have been playing as the killer and any time I am on a roll I miraculously get kicked and banned for 13 min... losing all my offerings and points... this only happens when playing against PC's. I'm playing on xbox. It's getting so bad that I don't even want to play anymore.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this a bug going around accross the board or is this something PC's have control of?
Ive also come accross PC's who miraculously get up after being downed instantly and I have to hit the 4 times with them showing up in 4 different places within seconds, or they dissappear all together and go through walls....
What happened...
This makes sense now. I honestly thought it was addons i was using.. If this is true boy that's sad.

I will definitely be retiring.

I honestly think that seeing glimpses of her wont make a difference when you are running from a good one. It doesn't matter but If this is something that you want then in those glimpses the spirit should be able to see the survivor as well, because technically she is phasing out of the spirit world.
-
You see... A lot of players insist she is uncounterable. But I beg to differ. There are a few things you can do to beat her. Sure her 1v1 is intense but what about huntress??? She has a sick 1v1 and no one complains about her. If Huntress catches you in the open or even at like a junk loop your screwed there is no countering her. If she can throw over it your dead. Deathslinger... Another one with little to now counter or even time to react. I feel like spirit at least gives you time to react. If she is phasing you know she is coming at you, and i feel like there is a lot of tools for you to outplay or even counter her. Windows are great against her and some perks even make it very hard for her to track you while phasing. Spine chill is super under rated against her. it is a staple in all of my survivor builds and i never have to respect her terror radius because of this. I also get a fair warning that she is coming my way and I have plenty of time to react. I just feel there are much worse killers to go against in the long run and that people just don't want to adjust their gameplay accordingly to do better against the spirit. Also if a team of solos that were all experienced went against a spirit they wouldn't have too much of an issue escaping imo. I've done some research and in that research I've found survivors that could run at least 60 seconds from a well skilled spirit. this is more than enough time in a chase against her. Yes her chases aren't the traditional mindless loops that we are all used to but there are killers who also break that tradition as well. This is all my opinion and I don't expect anyone to agree with it but I truly think all she really needs is a tell that she is phasing and a mechanic to punish using her phase in short bursts. this will let the survivor know when she is phasing and also force the spirit to use her power wisely. look at blight takes a good bit to get his charges back if you use them. Bubba as well. Even Billy is now forced to use his power wisely. but those are my ideas for her as I don't really think she needs much.

if they plan to put in an mmr they need a separate queue for it to be used in and show you what your mmr is then a casual playlist that has far looser bracket mixing. At the least if I'm being given an mmr score I at least want to know what it is.
atleast for the killers yes. Survivor you can judge based on any survivor with the killers its based on them individually. The casual playlist is def a great idea if they implement this MMR system. This way if you dont want to go against nurse and spirit you wont have too. Also maye have a solo queue playlist which would be the ranked version for the killer. So like have a SWF option a Solo Survivor option then a ranked and casual killer option. Just my thoughts on this.

You don't say if you won or lost these games. If you lost then hopefully, theoretically, you should get games that are easier to deal with.
If you're beating these nurses, spirits and top skilled swf then why shouldn't you go against them?
I was honestly sacrificed each match but i of course pipped. I was solo so i was playing like a solo should playing to pip not escape and the swf I am sweating but 4k and I dont want to have to every match sweat. I didnt see anything wrong with the old rank system I was still getting good survivors and killer.

If you're getting a hit with her short burst then it doesn't matter right? Why else would you short burst her power? Other than to either "stand still" mind game or to try and hit them at a short loop. I think it isn't all that punishing. even if it were 50% that was taken 90% does seem a bit much.

In this case I do not think that the devs would change their minds. It would just disregard the time and effort that 2016 players had to put in to level and progress.
I recognise that event cosmetics also had to be earned, but it was much easier to do this than what players had to do to earn legacy. I personally didn't like the fact that they released the cosmetics because I worked for them, but I'd be way more upset if they planned on giving out legacy because I definitely did not earn it nor deserve it.
Im not saying they should give it out. Im saying make it earnable. Even if we have to earn it the same way as before.

To be fair the devs also said a lot of things. I also think that if there is enough of an uproar that decision could change.

The game's overall performance has, for me at least, been noticeably worse over the last couple of weeks. I played 2 months with zero issues, smooth as silk (well, maybe the odd server error disconnect or whatever but it was infrequent). I have now made two topics in a week asking if other people are experiencing the severe issues I've been having. This morning was a MESS. Half a dozen errors that were server related, "unknown", and whatever other things the game blamed it on. And now every day there's always at least a single ten to forty second massive lag spike session that drops the game to like 5 FPS and turns things into a slideshow for no apparent reason. Could happen in the first five minutes, could happen after an hour. But it WILL happen. I'm also getting crazy loading times - the match bar will fill yet I'll still have to sit there a good minute or more before the match actually begins. Once today it was five minutes before I had to force the game to close.
And yes, you're correct: When some server issues kick in, usually after you've gone to begin a match, you lose the items you went in with. That's a serious oversight, I've lost valuable items this way. The game just assumes that you lost, I guess, so it deletes them from your inventory. Not cool at all.
yeah luckily i havent faced any other issues besides this stupid crash when i am playing killer!!! Idk where it came from but it has never crashed on me like this before, (after getting the series X)

She doesn't need to be NERFED because she can still be destroyed by you just DOING THE GENS.
100% I don't get it. Just because she has an AMAZING 1v1 and good map presence DOES NOT make her unbeatable. sure being beat in a chase fairly quickly is annoying and unfun BUT that's one of 3 I've had many chases against good spirits where it wasted just enough time for her to lose. I've come to accept that you really cant last very long in a chase against her and found ways to waste her time out of chase, You need to mess with her a lot and mislead her!!! People STOP drinking the Kool aid and instead of saying nerf her try other things, Switch it up!! I'm happy there are killers in the game where the survivors have to switch up traditional style of play and figure out a new way to escape

i disagree. Basements are very avoidable if survivors pay attention. And borrowed time exists etc
IF a killer legit sits on the stairs he's getting either a kill or a trade. There's really not much you can do in that scenario. Borrowed will def get the survivor on the hook out of there but the savior is most def 99% of the time getting hooked. I won't put anyone in basement and if I do I don't sit at the top of the stairs waiting for a savior. I just think it silly is all.
