I mean.. calling someone trash doesn’t always relate to the skill level of that person but maybe their attitude. I am not saying that is fitting in your case but there are plenty of casual survivors out there just trying to have a fun time without dominating in matches or bullying the killer. You can really easily tell if that is the case actually. And it may very well be that they had just had many frustrating matches in a row and lost their temper in end game chat.

its pretty much the equivalent of killer players talking down survivors that win against them and the killers finding excuses like only because of swf, voice comms, meta/crutch perks and then call the survs trash. Which happens a lot as well.

players of both sides shouldn’t talk the ‚other side‘ down like that.

agreed. If I tunnel someone its not out of being salty its because someone pulled them and then hid and would not take aggro. Im not going to just ignore the person who was saved because if Survivor rules!! lmao Plus the survivor had a key so i needed to make sure that person died AT least. Sure they found the key but either way if i see it you will most likely die first imo.

Im being serious. That map even with the rework is legit survivor city!!!

If you do it on first hook, the killer is only hurting himself. It is what I say and believe in but you can always get an unhook with BT if you trade. That's the thing.

Yes I'm aware of that I was just surprised to see it so soon in a match and then come to find out the doc was rank one,. Its a bit surprising to see.

  • tbf I play killer more often than i do survivor and I in no way shape or form expect a free unhook or safety after being unhooked. I was just SUPER surprised to see face camping like legitimate FACE camping on this poor baby jakes first hook. Sure his totem was cleansed almost instantly and sure it was on a farm map which could be real irritating. I don't think he shouldn't be allowed to do it nor do i care if he chose too. I was just more or less shocked to see it happen to suddenly and quickly. I believe he was doing this to keep a three gen and kill someone off at the same time but in the end it didn't pay off for him as he got 3 E'd but I literally just felt super bad for both the doc and the Jake in this scenario

Sounds like reason enough for me. If part of my plan is to use a perk that literally gets removed from the game due to RNG to the point that i physically can't do anything about it? It is gonna put me on tilt and make me wanna camp that person. If the survivors play dumb, i can probably turn it into a win. If not, at least i made someone else not have fun after they took my fun away.

unfortunately the jake was not the one who cleansed the totem.... Poor thing.

  • @NoelleMina said:

It depends on how it affects me.

Feel like winning? I go to Spirit.

    Goof around? Plague.

Have an (sometimes) even match? Oni.

I’m slowly falling in love with Oni, he’s just.. 👌 💋

Oni IS amazing. Just sucks to go against a team that denies you that first hit forever. I love monitor on him though it throws most survivors off.

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/253709/rank-one-and-you-face-camp-first-hook

I'm sure there was a reason. But the reality is, camping only works if survivors put themselves in a situation where it is the most effective play. Stop hating on the player, and start hating on BHVR for allowing it to happen. I'd like to not have to ever camp or tunnel, but the reality is the game goes too fast to not do those things.

oh yea we escaped but this poor jake had to suffer the fate of the look see lol there were 5 gens left his first hook and hes face camping. I think he did it because i cleansed ruin as soon as i spawned lol

Why do you need a confidence boost? Just play normally and you'll get better naturally.

ok confidence boost may not have been the correct term. What I meant was is it satisfying to dominate as blight.

Meh, I don't really get much satisfaction from dominating average solo queue survivors.

I used to do that back in the day with omegablink Nurse.

Then I realized it was wrong to take out my frustration on randoms. Now I'm a lot more chill when I play killer.

Good Point it just feels so good to dominate with someone like BLight!!!

  • @Mister_Holdout said:

I don't really have a go-to killer. I like to rotate the killers I play.

God damn it this is so annoying

I can't play a match with the stupid charm without everyone trying to farm with me. Like, farming is the most boring thing you could possibly do in this game. I just want to have a normal match for Christs sake!

I've had to stop wearing it, and dodge lobbies when people have it just to have fun games.

For the people who are doing this, I get that you're trying to be supportive, but no one is wearing this to farm. No one is wearing this as a free escape card. Just play normally!

Sorry about the angry post but this is frustrating.

but if i kill someone with it they assume its because of the pride charm.. so it seems like this is a lose lose.

  • Jake has and always will be my MAIN!!!!

  • @Sup3rCatTree said:

I gave you my honest opinion, i.e. that what other people put in their Builds is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. Why do you care? Why make this thread if you aren't "knocking them" when clearly that is exactly what you are doing. Why lie? We aren't dense. You do you; don't you have enough to worry about with your OWN builds? Why do you care what other people are doing?

Why not?? Isnt this a forum for discussion about things in dbd?? Why can i not ask other killer players what their thoughts are??? What is the crime in that?

  • Once they have the option there's no interrupt which is what i find dumb. If they open it with a key you should 100% get to grab them

  • @whycantIwin said:

I moved back into the middle, and we can see she clearly opening it while being 100% in front of me so I was blocking it, she jumped into the hatch while getting into me.

yeah but for that second you were off it it allowed them to open it

  • @TGB said:

    I mean...

Pop requires that you hook somebody, though. And a Survivor getting hooked is a Survivor that misplayed. Assuming nobody misplays, the Survivors can pretty much do all 5 gens before anyone even gets downed... Which means Pop did nothing. And as mentioned, you can't Pop if Ruin is active.

And if Ruin isn't active, then it's because it got killed and is an empty perk slot now...

So, I'm not really understanding how this is supposed to be some "overkill" trio of perks... Tinkerer and Pop have vague synergy together, Tinkerer and Ruin have nothing to do with each other, and Pop & Ruin is maybe the actual only example of two perks that DO NOT work together that I can think of off the top of my head.

    Very bizarre thread...

That being said, I kind of want to run Ruin + Surveillance on someone, seems like a nice combo. But, hey, I'm basically week 1 on the BP grind... So maybe next year...

Where did you read that its over kill???? I simply think it really does ALOT and was wondering what others thought. Theres no need to justify using the trio as it is in the game and there to be used. I would just hate to see any of them nerfed again du to the over use is all. And you cant say they wont nerf it because they have nerfed things simply because killers/survivors use a certain perk 'too much"

  • @Moundshroud said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/251763/ruin-pop-tinkerer-combo

My thoughts are you do you. You SAY you aren't knocking anyone but let's tell the truth and shame the devil; that is exactly what you you are doing with this passive aggressive post. :) You do what you feel is right for you and let the other Killers do what they feel is right for them.

You call it what you want just an honest opinion.

  • @NightmareKiller said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2210319#Comment_2210319

What are you talking about it's complete trash. If the survivors are good they won't give you a hook for free. And you have 4 survivors to worry about, say you chase and hook one and go after another one working on a gen. Good, you popped 1 gen. What about the other 2 gens the other 2 survivors were working on?

I can't believe you're crying that those two perks are strong. Specially Pop, 25% is nothing in exchange for the effort and time you have to waste to get one hook.

Did you even read the post????? SMH

  • @Keezo said:

Tinkerer isn't a regression perk, it just gives you info, then you only have Ruin or Pop usable at any given time. It's just 3 good perks.

Tinkerer plays a very big part in the trio tho. It doesn't regress but it alerts you to which gen should be popped. Put that on someone like blight or nurse or even spirit and its disgusting. Even too good on m1 killers imo

  • I think the grab should exist if someone uses a key. If they jump in while its open fair game, but if they open the hatch in your face you should be able to counter with an interupt. Just an IDea .

  • @whycantIwin said:

wth Behaviour? first you make trapping the front of the hatch useless since you removed the initial position of hatch opening, and now being in the middle of the hatch no longer stops them from using the key

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzDI1jQFFm4

    Why?????

you moved off of the proc point. You had it. She couldn't open it until you moved.

I doubt most new players save up to even 100k before they spend it. I’m not opposed to a blood point cap raise, but the people it benefits are those with all the perks anyway and would only help them grind out the new content faster, which they probably do in 3 months easily even with the current cap. Plus there are work arounds for that already.

I do think the grind is too slow though and perk tiers should go, perks that don’t get used should be deleted and new killers and survivors should only come with one new perk each. I also think the 8k per category cap should be increased and more increased blood point events should be given. These are all things that would help new players and those that don’t have as much time to dedicate to this one game.

I agree on the perk tiers and the category cap. But When i was a new player I liked to spend points in bulk it was like a mini placebo effect on making the grind less grindy. But back then there were only 5 killers so it then wasn't even bad.

  • @Gnarly said:

    ☆EDIT☆

-I am aware that the balance of the game with bigger maps make it almost necessary. I'm wondering if the perk is too relied on at times. YES I KNOW 3 GENS CAN BE DONE instantly depending on map, but that's a game issue ya know. Just annoyed by the overuse. I DON'T HAVE THAT MUCH OF AN ISSUE WITH THE PERK, I HAVE THE ISSUE OF THE OVERUSE.

I mostly play killer, but I personally never use Corrupt Intervention. It's not a fun perk and it feels cheap at times. Sure it's gone forever and never reused after, but it's too rewarding. No skill required and it lockdowns a bunch of the map for killers.

It is in every build when I'm against a killer. Now I'm back at Red Ranks on survivor. Is it really that necessary? I never use it and can still Double Pip as a killer.

What can we do to have this perk being used non stop.

Tbh I have had people pop 2 to 3 gens even with corrupt. It really isn't all that annoying even if overused. All it does is bring down the number of gens down to 4 instead of 7 to patrol for the killer. I personally like to get a scope of the layout of the map anyway so i dont normally hop on the first gen I see. I get its annoying to go against a perk over and over again But If you adapt to the perk the over use wont bother you imo

  • @Red_Beard said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2210106#Comment_2210106

Why does the cap affect a new player? The cap really only affects those trying to save for the new dlcs. The amount awarded is what needs to go up to help new players with the grind. That or the amount of perks/tiers reduced.

They can bulk up and spend it all at once in a sense. It really would just all around give somewhat of a placebo effect with the grind to ALL players.

  • @hiken said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2210106#Comment_2210106

i understand that i would like to have at least 1.5m as Cap, 2 million would be better. anyway they do this because they dont want people to immediately unlock everything with new content or something otherwise makes no sense to cap it that low.

even with 4 mil they wouldnt be able to p3 50 and get everything. I just hate that i have to spend blood points to gain them. Its always been a gripe of mine since playing this game. I get they dont want everything unlocked but its silly because even if they were to unlock everything It wouldn't deter gameplay. I have everything already and just want to save for the new chapter so i either have to not play or consistently spend my bp. Why cant i just hoard it up?? its silly imo

It’s getting that free FIRST hit that makes him strong. That’s why it’s important to adjust to a healing strategy against Wraith unlike other killers. He’s easily loopable like most other killers so as long as you are attentive and can loop then he’s 100% got counterplay.

I also feel like I need to be near safe pallets at all times when i know its a wraith. He catches you ANYWHERE else and you are for sure giving him that Free hit.

1.5m is all you need to go from 0 to 50 IF you dont go all the tiem for the most expensive stuff.

Just imagine yourself being brand new. All these survivors/killers all the perks/addons/items. 1 mill is terrible imo

Back then you could edit bp by changing a file. Now its all server side. They could remove it if they wanted and easily track it.

And agreed on the grind. They really need to remove perk levels, its absurd trying to get the perks you want on a character now.

Whats to stop them from hacking to a mill over and over again?

It’s so annoying being screwed over for not being on PC. Why should I be punished for just playing on console. Plz devs make the console experience better it’s not fair to be at a disadvantage for just playing you game on console. I shouldnt get screwed over by garbage aim dressing. I shouldn’t get a massive frame drop for just being hit by a killer with sloppy.

I play on the Series X and the only disadvantage i feel i have is not being able to have mouse and keyboard. And i do feel like MY dead hard only fails when i am playing against pc killers. Cross progression needs to come to console!!!

So, how many of us actually play Spirit? I kind of do on very rare occasions when I want to play a killer I find kind of difficult because of all of my self-nerfs (no Stridor, no 50/50's, no standing still, etc) but still very strong. I'd probably like playing her a lot more if not for how just... Spirit-y she is.

How many others use her? Do you have any self-banned perks or add-ons, or do you just play normally whilst silently wishing she wasn't so miserable for your opponents? Do you go out of your way to be nice, or do you just play her as your guilty pleasure?

She is my Revenge killer. lol I lose a match I pull her out.

'No one is responsible for another person's fun.' Wrong.

When you log into a multiplayer game, everyone is expecting you to play it through to the end, win or lose. Just as you're expecting your teammates to not ragequit & leave you screwed over. It's called 'sportsmanship'.

Your comment is basically 'I don't care about anyone else's fun except my own'.

Do you see Esports players quit Overwatch League when they are losing? No? Because sportsmanship dictates that they complete the match, win or lose. That their team, and the enemy team, is relying on them to stay it through to the end. That's how social games WORK.

That's also why people don't flip the board when they play Monopoly with friends; because their friends will probably either smack them, or stop being friends with them. Since it seems most people online here are asocial; we have the DC penalty instead.

IF someone doesn't enjoy the game its their right to end it early. DBD is not Esports Its a social Game where people want to enjoy themselves and playing against certain killers is annoying and i don't blame people for dying off early. At the end of the day I am going to play aout the match and have fun whether or not someone quits and then move on to the next. There is ALWAYS another round!!!

  • I still struggle with him but i find myself getting some crazy rush hits and BOY DO THEY FEEL GOOD!!!! lmao

  • @Yatol said:

So you give the killer a free win because you don't like what they chose to play.

I wouldnt call it a free win as it takes away 2 devout points. Which means now she has to hook the other 3 at least 2 times each to get an iri emblem. And chances are now that one killed themselves first hook the others will follow suit. It is SUPER boring to go against a stridor spirit. Not saying i quit against them but It is very boring to go against. But i know what to do against them. Once i know they have it i legit immerse myself. (Spirit.... The only killer other than Dslinger that i will hide from) The more time she wastes looking the less time she has stopping gens.

  • @Quake said:

I used to defend spirit so much,my favourite killer, but ######### this.

This is totally unfun to play against. And it is common.

    /next

The key to beating this training wheeled spirit is GEN RUSH. No joke. I hate it as well but if you focus on gens nmw you can beat this stupid perk. I honestly think stridor on spirit instantly drops the person playing spirits skill imo. I just recently went up against one that not only ran stridor but fathers glasses on top of it. I dont see the fun in using so many training wheels on her. She doesnt need them at all. All it takes is a decent head set and good tracking skills and you win nmw IDC who you are spirit is going to take you down if they are decent. I think the only time i ever lost as her (without) stridor is when i was gen rushed. IF the survivors literally focus on gens she can be beat.

  • @Shirokinukatsukami said:

Devs thought it would be fun to screw you over when you're about to fix a gen and out of nowhere Bubba chops you to bits.

Thats only if you are not paying attention or you are on a map with walls. lol All i know is once i realize the killer has it i am super cautious. Even before i realize lol. And tbf I always run spine chill. That and dead hard are staples in my build. If i am playing with friends or have a challenge for safe unhooks i run BT but usually mix 2 perks with the staples. Spinechill is and always has been SUPER under rated because of how all the potatoes use the perk.

  • I would beg to Differ. I love this perk on Demo, Billy, Nurse, Spirit, and Even Freddy!!. The perk is overall meta imo. I see alot of killers using this perk because of good it is. Pair it with ruin or pop and Discordance and you have yourself a pretty strong build.

  • @Pulsar said:

He isn't the worst, but he's pretty bad.

He's better than Legion and addon-less Trapper, but that's about it.

In almost every situation, Huntress and Deathslinger are going to be better.

I honestly think he is the WORST kill in the game. Even addonless Trapper has more map pressure than Trickster does. I think it takes FAR to long to get a down and i think his movement speed is a joke. Hence the dubbed nick name The Jokester!!!

  • @GannTM said:

    No, I haven’t noticed anything.

Its odd for me on series X I feel like he has a lot more "slack" now.

  • @Kharbarg said:

They have to revert the nerf and then they have to revert the buff so lucky break would be as it was before they touched it. Then they could create a new perk to not leave scratch marks (maybe for a limited amount of time, maybe with two or three consumable tokens or what ever). This way if a survivors want to hide groans of pain, traces of blood and scratch marks then they have to use three perk slots.

this is fair imo. I agree. Why have one perk do both when it should be a perk for each slot. But these perks arent even my picks imo. As i said in a previous post i want to be chased I dont want the killer to lose me nor do i want to hide from them so these perks make no difference to me.

  • 90 seconds was insane. I feel 45 seconds is fair enough imo. The perk should work for every chase and If used well you can get 2 chases out of it. It shouldn't even be a problem with how it is now. I feel like needing any perk as a survivor is silly. I wouldn't use the perk either way because I enjoy the chase and want the killer to focus on me. The purpose of that perk is to lose chase allowing the killer to move on and find someone else or stop a gen when they could have been chasing you wasting time. So in a way i feel like Lucky Break is far more detrimental to the survivors than it is helpful. I would def look into synergizing it with For the people or deliverance or something tho because it could waste a lot of the killers time in those instances.
