How's it the pig meta if it's supposedly not consistant and "rare"
And you don't have the devs approval, they just aren't banning people for it
You know what else was in the same boat for a long time? Stretched resolution.
Of course I do, according to the devs kills = skill. Same as NOED, it's a skilled form of gameplay. If I don't kill all of them with the AFK strat, I can finish off the remaining ones with NOED and my hidden number will go up.
Ez MMR.
-
It is the Pig meta, and we have the devs approval like it or not lmao
-
Pig is working as intended. The devs said during a livestream that the game isn't about looping or getting hooks - it's about getting kills or escapes. That's where the skill's at.
Sorry to hear that you got outplayed so hard, but it is what it is. Furthermore, this strat is lore-friendly because Amanda is known for creating unwinnable situations such as this one.

Just FYI, in game reports don't do anything unless accompanied by video reports uploaded to youtube. Just figured you should know.
Video reports also don't do anything, lmao. I reported a hacker and uploaded a video of the match, guess what, he's still around.
Don't even bother.

thanks for sharing. Great video definitely learned something new but there is one issue I have to point out. This is harder to do when you are vsing 4 survivors. in the video the person made it look easy because it was a 1 v 1. but if you go against a good team of survivors some of the harder loops you keep chasing you will lose maybe 2 or 3 gens. but overall still a great tip video. Thanks for sharing
It's always an 1v1 if you're chasing a survivor, the others will probably be on gens around the map. Apply the tactics shown in the video (specially running shack counter clockwise), you will shorten your chases and will pressure the other survivors better as a result.

This video has been posted already multiple times, it's 5 gens, the survivor basically used all the snowmen in the map (keep in mind they do not respawn if you get hit while inside them) and the real issue there is the Huntress missing most shots, Steve would've reached the loops no matter the snowmen.
That's right, killer mains! Just idk................ get better at the game???????????????? Just hit the shots???
Never mind snowmen shutting down Twins and removing save the best for last stacks, just git gud! It's supposed to be a very fun event!!! Don't try so hard killer mains!!!!

Lmao it even removes save the best for last stacks

Urban Evasion, Spine Chill, Inner Strength and it used to be Plunderers so I could get keys and escape but I switched it out with BT because of the current tunneling meta and I feel bad for the unhooked people.
What’s yours? Things have gotten a little stale for me and need to switch it up.
lmao literally a rat

no mercy

These challenges usually also comes with "break doors and kick generators".
Just kick gens non stop, survivors will usually help you with that.

The opinions are worded in a very specific way to make the people who want his changes reverted sympathetic and make the people who think the changes were fine look like they're being biased and unreasonable. Kinda a really scummy practice dude.

This is an excellent take. The issue wasn't quickscoping, it's that he could fake aiming without ever intending to fire for free zoning. Give him a penalty for not firing and you mitigate that issue without hurting his skill cap with neat high-reaction shots, thread-the-needles, and pulling people out from around corners.
The 32m TR kills him. Give him a 24m lullaby if M&A is that much of a problem, but he doesn't function without the level of stealth he used to have.
Bruh the psychological terror of repeatedly aiming and never shooting was the best part about playing deathslinger.

@Shroompy said:
maybe they could do like a sort of mini rework
Insta ADS = slow projectile
Max ADS (like it is now, or even a bit longer) = fast projectile
they could also increase his range for this, and return back his 24m TR, since Im gonna be real I disliked the stealth ranged killer at first, but it was very unique, and wasnt really unfair being a 4.4m/s
Or they should just undo this crap and leave him as he was. Don't fix what is not broken.
-
Devs???????????????????????????????
-
Why would I? Game is so ######### up rn I don't even play killer anymore. Deathslinger is still nerfed and boons still exist.
I voted for Deep Rock Galactic.
-
Honestly, they should double the size of Mother's Dwelling, Springwood, Temple of Cuckation and other killer sided maps, they're just too easy to play.

Yeah, but the saddest thing is that small tweaks could help her a bunch.
Yeah, but don't hold your breath. The cosmetic designers (aka devs) took 5 years to give trapper, their signature killer, an extra trap.
-
Pig should have aura-reading as base kit while crouching. This addon is crap and she's currently the worst stealth killer. There's zero incentive to use ambush: you are too slow while crouching, often have no information and the terror radius takes 4 seconds to disappear. And somehow, she still gets nerfed again and now even the RBT are useless.
I used to only crouch on short loops and played her basically as a M1 killer, but on higher MMR survivors will just Wgame away from the loop the moment they lose sight of you. Pig is on a sad spot right now.
-
I sent a report to Behavior once and even recorded the match, but they won't do 5h1t about it. This game is a paradise for cheaters.

Don't think an AK existed in the 19th century.
yeah but this game makes no sense, there's a lot of weird crossovers and paranormal stuff. It would be totally possible for deathslinger to own an assault rifle

Don't know of any old fashioned bounty hunter/outlaw that used a .22 caliber rifle to kill anyone. Those things can barely kill opossums.
well that's why I said he should have addons to change his weapons, he could get an AK47 or something idk

Please, just wait with individual killers balance.
We have Dead Hard validation problem and CoH boon plague.
That needs to be fixed first, then after some time all the characters will see their nerfs/buffs (or not).
Personally I want to try Deathslinger, but guess it's not good time for him.
Only faced him once as a survivor, was confused, but we both got stuck on the opposite sides of the dropped pallet, until chain broke. His occurrence was so rare that I don't even bothered leaning how to play against him.
no
-
How many Deathslingers do you see around these days? He's just not fun to play rn.
He was a pathetic killer and worse than Huntress on every aspect, but now he's even worse than before. They should just remove his gun at this point.

Clearly you need to play killer as DH literally is too much now but you can't properly time a button and want to loop a killer even harder without being injured? You are sick, you are not aware of both sides, you are a troll. Absolutely no. If this was implemented in anyway I would ask literally the world to give me money to buy the whole company and reverse the buff and permanently remove it entirely.
Well, I disagree.

I don't get why people are so salty when I use my Pig slug build. Knockout + Hex: Third Seal + Deerstalker + Ruin with funny mask addon.
It's a legit strategy bros, just crawl around idk

@Laluzi said:
I'd be absolutely enraged if that was the reason. The change completely killed Thrill and them ruining it because they decided to add a killer that could interrupt from anywhere on the map - it's possible that maybe having a killer that could interrupt from anywhere on the map was the poorly thought out idea? Not the only hex protecting perk in the game?
Ugh.
A killer that can injure from anywhere on the map is definitely a terrible idea, but nerfing Thrill of the Hunt was even worse. It straight up killed my totem builds. I used to run Ruin/Undying/Devour/Thrill on Pig and it was really strong, nowadays I don't play her anymore.
-
ok devs the forum has spoken, time to undo the changes
-
I believe he outperforms at low ranks due to his passive pressure, new players can't handle him and experienced players will obliterate him. IMO his power is terrible. Bhvr had to design a killer that would have pressure despite the horrendous huge maps and came with this poor design, instead of fixing said problems and creating a good killer. They probably made that useless chain skill and though "you know what? It's just not strong enough, he needs some kind of slowdown!". Thus, Cenobite was born.
You would think that they would have learned something about huge maps by now (I'm looking at you, red forest), but they outdone themselves with yet another huge map! Now they have to compensate this by tweaking killer's powers instead of maps.
-
Props to you for winning with such perks. I can't play M1 killers without STBFL and some kind of gen slowdown.

@gatsby said:
In the past, good Killers expected 4/3ks with little resistance. They could run meta builds and on their mains and have a really dominant performance.
Now since MMR, Killers generally get 1-3ks when playing well. Playing extra sweaty doesn't result in an absolute steamroll most of the time. Personally, I think its healthier and Killers have been slowly changing their mindsets from expecting a 4k to expecting a 2k and being pleasantly surprised if they get more.
It's a painful process to change expectations, but the Devs always said the goal was 2ks. At least getting all four BBQ stacks for max points is still pretty realistic every game.
You will own nothing... and you will be happy.

I'm a Survivor Main, and I totally confident calling Dead Hard the most broken perk in the game.
It doesn't look like you have a lot of hours then... I main both sides (Oni and Cheryl) and I can say that it is in fact a weak perk.
As stated before, it buys you almost no time (you can move what, one extra meter?) and often gets you exhausted on the ground. But if you mean that this perk is broken because it's currently a weak perk, then yes, I agree with you.
@SlothGirly said:
Dead Hard buff: If you Dead Hard into the killer, instantly ends them, uninstalling the game from their pc and ending the trial. All survivors gain 32k points.
There, I fixed DH for you :)
Here's your reply, killer main.

Is this bait?
Definitely not. If you played both sides, you would see that my suggestions could greatly benefit the current meta for killer and survivor. Most posts in this thread don't even try to counter my arguments - instead they just whine or post sarcastic replies.

@RenRen said:
I can't tell if this is bait. Either way you literally ignored the actual reason why dead hard is good.
And what would that be?
-
I think he should get the same treatment as plague. Right now he's really clunky to play, you can't even do a M2 into a M1 normal hit anymore.
They should rework the weird movement when charging your power, it often makes you release it at an unintended direction.
-
Dead hard is basically a worthless perk at this point, I really don't get why it is so hated.
It should be buffed: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/290990/dead-hard-buff-just-isnt-enough/p1

The third most run perk in the game doesn't need a buff.
I don't get why people are so upset about a perk that moves you a tiny distance. These forums are full of killers who 100% don't play both sides. Dead hard is an overly punishing perk for newer players.
@Laluzi said:

Okay. So.
Yes, Exposed is a thing. It's also the only counter to Dead Hard when Dead Hard is used correctly, and instadowns always have some other condition involved that makes them easier to dodge or the killer doesn't always have it.
Dead Hard is widely considered to be the best exhaustion perk. It's true that it gives you less distance than other exhaustion perks. When used to dodge a killer's swing in a dead zone, it only buys you a couple seconds of time. However, Dead Hard has a feature that makes it infinitely better than any of the others - it can be used on command. I can't overstate how much this counts for. You don't need to be in the right area, you don't need to be next to a window or pallet, you don't need to be walking around to preserve it - you have it whenever you're injured, which is going to happen in any chase you don't unequivocally win. From there, you have a dash and some I-frames at any point you want them.
Newer players use Dead Hard to dodge a hit. This use is always available, but skilled players will use it to extend a loop by dashing to a pallet and throwing it once the killer gets too close, allowing them to move to another loop and buying potentially huge amounts of time. Lithe can be used in a similar way, to bail on a loop and move to the next, but you don't get the pallet in the way and you're vulnerable to being hit through the window if you cut it close (which is the hallmark of the tactic) - the glory of looping with DH is that you cannot really be caught out of position with it and you aren't half as limited to the type of loop you can run effectively. Sprint Burst can't be used to extend a chase unless you 99 it, which is a very powerful strategy but also a finicky one that's prone to misfires, and also requires you to go looking for a chase at the right time as opposed to being chased off of a gen or the like - still, Sprint Burst is probably in a comfortable second place for prevalent exhaustion perks despite the walking-around requirement. Balanced Landing is very good on some maps and completely worthless on others, making it rather reliant on map offerings to supplement it. Head On isn't a chase perk (if you run into a locker in a chase, either you've wasted your own distance or the perk won't have enough time to activate), and as far as exhaustion perks go, Smash Hit is a non-choice - being able to pallet stun a killer depends heavily on individual killer behavior and also what killer's being played.
There's a reason Dead Hard has its place among the meta. At the top levels of gameplay, it is a fairly rare occasion when less than four survivors are running it.
This post sums it up: "There's a reason Dead Hard has its place among the meta. At the top levels of gameplay, it is a fairly rare occasion when less than four survivors are running it."
It's only ever useful at very high levels of play, and still, it clearly isn't that good since experienced killers will wait for it and down you 2 seconds later anyways. This is why I think the proposed changes (especially number 2) would make it more dynamic.

I mean for me it is perfectly fine i made a ghost face rage quit because I kept looping him and dead Harding away but i think its fine rn
yeah but as a I said, Ghostface still has the potential to make your perk useless. If you play against a good Ghostface, you won't have the chance to use it.
