"Unlocks potential in one's Aura-reading ability.
The last 1 regressing Generator's/2 regressing Generators'/3 regressing Generators' Aura(s) are indicated in white to you for 16 seconds."Are you gonna behave?" — Amanda Young
Unique to The Pig until Level 35, at which point its Teachable version can then be learned and taught to the other Killers." ~Surveillance, DBD wiki
Due to the wording of the perk above, I always thought the perk would activate if any generator would regress, and the perk would be active for 16 seconds. (up to 3 gens max).
Which I'm still uncertain if this would work with Hex: Ruin, and Hex: Huntress Lullaby due to their wording.
"A Hex that affects the Survivors' skills at repairing Generators
2/3/4 Survivors are affected by Ruin, which causes the following:Good Skill Checks result in 5 % regression on the Generator
Great Skill Checks grant 0 % bonus progression on the Generator.
The Hex effects persist as long as the related Hex Totem is standing....." ~ Hex: Ruin"A Hex rooting its power in despair. Your hunt is an irresistible song of dread which muddles your prey's attention.
Survivors receive a 2/4/6 % regression penalty when missing any Skill CheckEach time a Survivor is hooked, Huntress Lullaby grows in power:
1 to 4 Tokens: Time between the Skill Check warning sound and the Skill Check becomes shorter.
5 Tokens: No Skill Check warning."~ Hex: Huntress LullabyIf they don't currently work like this...it would be a nice change perhaps.

- is this a close friend, or simply a "game friend"....that would equate to an aquantaince in real life?
___
If it's the latter, then I suggest you be courteous and respectful....but honest.
Let them know that playing with them on that game isn't that fun, and that you believe that both of you would be happier playing something else....or separately.
___
If it's the former, you owe each other a serious heartfelt talk.
___
(Keep in mind, you are not required to defend your feelings. Although, the same can not be said for your actions)
(Lastly, this is my opinion and is not the ultimate advice to end all advice. Please think carefully and be responsible.)
-
Did you try renewing your licences?
This usually fixed an issue I was having like this. -
I'm really loving the amount of effort and work you put into sussing out this idea, and its solution.
I agree that the death-inefficiency is a strong issue affecting the game.
---
On a possible side note, what if we added a time limit till survivors auto-lose? This would take some stress from the killer side (not in the vein of the original point, I realize.)
However, I'm curious what your take would be on this. Improve the death-inefficiency, make it worse, or have no bearing on the issue at all? -
That is true...the above examples do not factor in the factors of time crunch and killer to survivor interaction.
These will need to be considered when building scenarios. -
One way to add new objectives, would be to change the exit gate to some other form of escape. (Ex. An old fashioned mine elevator.)
Now that the final object is different, we can alter the rest of the objectives more easily.
Perhaps you have to locate a certain number of cogs or levers to unlock certain areas around the map. Inside each area you find what you need to repair the "broken elevator...s".
After repairing....you may leave.
On the other hand, one could keep the exit gate as the final objective....and change some of the objectives leading up to it.
For example, lets take the boring as sand generators out.....and add in a randomized switch puzzle. The answers for which can be found scattered throughout the map.
Such a thing would require some form of communication you say? Well, for those not hooked up to mics and wanting some mysteriously old timey communication device.....I propose pad and pencil. Yep. Incorporate special emotes that can be accessed after picking up a pad and pencil on specific maps...and only for those maps. (no need for them on generator modes....lol)
The emote will have the character draw predetermined symbols on a sheet of paper, and show it to the person in front of them.
once all the puzzles are cleared....the door is accessible. It works as per usual.
There are so many new and interesting ways that this game could be expanded into. We are just scratching the surface....and want more challenges and things to deal with. Give us options and variety. We are past ready.
-
A group surrender function wouldn't hurt. ((The effect doesn't take place unless the remaining survivors or killer.....(1 group, not both) agree.))
Also, there should definitely be a penalty for leaving a match too early/disconnecting. Hopefully the upcoming matchmaking update and dedicated servers will pave the way for a better game overall.
-
The killer and it's abilities are odd. I'm guessing multiple people see that. It's like they put out a killer that doesn't mesh with the current game how it stands. Makes me wonder if they have plans for a future update to the game to incorporate a new system that will change the way the game can be played.
It would be interesting....but I'm not getting that hopeful.
-
One of the scenarios where I could see camping as unfair would be: Players have continuous revives, and respawn at a specific designated point. This point is then camped and utilized by the killer to keep you off the field entirely. (although....now that I ponder this....you do have 3 other players hanging around....objectives could still get done.) Failed Scenario. (although, could be grounds for abuse...)
ok....so that didn't work....let's try....painting the previous scenario that orion thought out earlier:
"Well, when the Killer did absolutely nothing right, the Survivor did absolutely nothing wrong, and yet the Survivor ends up on the hook anyway by the will of the Entity....." ~Orion
-Survivors are super stealthy....but manage to take damage by the environment/non-killer specific traps/other survivors.
-Survivors may get in a chase with the killer, but manage to lose them....and then get damaged by the environment again in some way. They are downed, and easily found with a hypothetical deerstalker or good eyes.
-The survivor is then camped to secure the kill.
This scenario seems more unfair....but unsure....what do you think orion?
-
I believe this may be another one of those cases where understanding and definitions get askew.
The "vacuum" has been easily explained away. The other "possible" issue would be: (how far away does the prompt for hooking appear?)
If that's not what they are concerned with...then....I don't think they can be helped. -
Eleanor walked slowly through the building, her shoes crunching on the window glass. Her whip was out and she casually flicked it at a can of soup and a nearby bag of flour. She chuckled as both objects got knocked over and ripped into respectively. Heading toward the back room, she smelled for the scent of her prey. It wouldn't be long now. The sound of the alarm masked her approach well.
Around the next bend, she spotted the young male, casually looking at something. Eleanor smiled as she raised her whip and prepared to let it fly.

(ooc: discord sounds nice...but it's mostly a chat engine...and standard text rp using more than two people i think benefits from a more permanent and slower moving format. However, not as slow as the RP is currently progressing. Most of our group has vanished and/or gotten busy elsewhere. We need more fresh blood that will engage more often.
I suppose we could create a discord RP room and have sepperate places for in character and out of character, along with rules and concepts. This could function better...but would still require willing participants. Hmm, not a bad idea. What do you think rattman?) -
An idea for Jason's power: weapons.
In media, we see Jason kill with an assortment of weapons, his bare hands and even the environment. I believe his power could be centered on the ability to use multiple different weapons to aid him.
A close range weapon. Long range weapon. And....some form of trap or...mid range weapon.
He would have to switch between certain ones...and would lose/break weapons as he goes.
Just an idea...
___
Until the appeal goes through....I doubt dead by daylight would even bother looking over him though.

I screenshot whole conversation in post game chat, put it on imgur, filled in- game report for harassing and put link of those screenshots. Now i now that tha he was saying bullshit cuz he was mad, but still i wanted him to get punished. It's been more than 1 week and he is still not banned. Devs lying more and more...devs go over reports and dish out punishments on a monthly basis.

Why are the spooky items so hard to get
Please can you make them appear more?I believe them to be "Artifact" quality. Which is the highest rarity. They should be available every year....but be very hard to stockpile.

I've already spent over 2 mil on Kate and still only have 3 spooky medkits. Are these items meant to be this rare? I was expecting to get items i could actually use, not sit in my inventory because of the rarity.Yeah, they were so common to get in bloodwebs and chests last year and was expecting something similar.
They are now "Artifact" rarity which is above the highest rarity. I think they will come out fairly regularly around the holidays now. However, with the increased rarity....they are a truly rare treat that won't be flooding the game ever.
I was hoping for new items soon...or making firecrackers a permanent addition to the game at some point. (Survivors need blinding too...lol)

Exact time the game client started to fail to join games : Unsure, noticed after the spirit update, not before.
The exact times you tried to join a game again: This question is confusing. If you mean how many "times" have I tried to log in since the issue first occurred? To numerous to count.
Or if you are referring to the "wait period" between leaving a match and being able to join another/do other things? That time is aprox: 1:30 mins - 3:30 mins
Extra info:
I have no Auric cells, and have never bought any as of yet.
After extensively testing the "glitch", I have discovered if you manage to "finish" a match in less than 3 minutes....the glitch does not occur for me. (This is of course, never the norm for matches in general.)
Sometimes, the "Character information" tab is accessible while the glitch is still occurring, while other times...it is not.
I have bought the spirit with iridescent shards. But not Adam yet.
I hope the information within will aid in solving this problem.

A friend of mine experienced this a while back and went on a long testing spree. (She kept saying the stypic agent was cursed. Then she said all healing was bad....now she thinks it's medkits in general.)only1biggs said:The slow animations you mention are indeed a bug and is tied to something in game. It can happen when you heal fully with a med kit for instance (with certain add ons and don't hit great skill checks). One of the devs have been made aware I believe so it should filter through and be fixed pretty quickly, as when it happens it can be quite a hindrance. It can also make your dead hard animation zoom you across the whole of shack tile while you have the debuff :')

Chris
Jonathan looked down at the bike and seeing the damage he caused to it. "Sorry....about the bike" he said.
"It's no problem, I guess. Although, now I don't have..." Chris started to say when the sound of an alarm broke the silence. "What the sweet christmas cookies is that about, you suppose?" Chris said as he winced and covered his ears a bit.
Looking quickly at the detective and then jumped in the passenger side of the car. "C'mon, let's go investigate. Maybe we are not alone after all."
Eleanor
Eleanor stirred and threw the nest of covers and silk off her supple frame. Looking about, she came quickly to the realization that she was in her keep, her castle. A curved smile pierced the dimly lit room.
The young female walked over to a nearby wardrobe and donned herself in leather armor, and grabbed her favorite 'toys'. "Mama has missed you."
She did a quick stretch, her ponytail bouncing. "Now, let's go see what's happened to my city."
=================================================================
The city streets of Avalon, New Jersey were quiet as Eleanor flitted among the rooftops. "I hope I don't have to move again. This place seems suddenly very dull." She thought to herself.
That was when she spotted a young prey throw a bottle through a distant shop window and climb inside the suddenly very noisy building . "Don't move a muscle, tasty morsel. I'll be right there." Eleanor thought while slinking her way closer.
ooc: let's see if this adds a bit more flavor.

Tentatively in this context seems to indicate that they fixed the problem as far as they can tell.
Welcome to programming. Even when you are sure you fixed every instance and scenario for a possible problem, there is still a small possibility that you missed a scenario where it can occur.
Take it as a "diplomatic maybe". Or a yes, with the stipulation not to bite thier head off if they were not perfect on the first go.
It appears most of them are mortal, if not fallible. -
As a friend once said: "That kind of hint only helps after you know who the killer/survivor is...not before."

Her power isn't strong enough to warrant a slower movement speed, currently she is extremely useless and needs to be buffed to make up for her unreliable power and lack of good add ons. Although let's face it, she'll never get buffed because she is "Not meant to be viable".Edit: Her Tier level is Freddy level at best.
They talked about some changes for her coming during the mid-chapter patch.
As far as her tier= unsure currently. She has good potential. Maybe with the update coming she will be even better.

I am also curious about some of Rin's add-ons. What exactly will wakazashi saya do? It sounds like a negative, yet also positive. I believe it's the only add-on to affect "reapperance".
Edit:
I've noticed, normally when I do a reapperance I will "blip" 3 or so times. When I use the saya, no extra blips...just the one. I wonder If I can't attack while "blipping"? (Testing) -
Yes, all of this! Make the game memorable, and possibly scary.PigMainBigBrain said:@Janick said:h
It's going to be mid-chapter yes.I don't have all the list of fixes in front of me but the Blood appearing while charging and a shorter cooldown for her Power is also planned. I know I just teasing sorry about that but more details will be coming soon, please hold on...Thanks!
I'll hold patiently... but I been really looking forward to this killer, since there aren't a whole bunch of options to bring that scare you out of your seat type vibe to the game outside of like Pig, and Michael, and occasionally Hag. I love her concept and the execution of her aesthetics, including her creepy gargling and twitching, but she really needs some tweaks to get her to fit within her own niche. I can see where she was going design wise, and the husk manipulation (even on vaulting windows which has its own creep factor by itself) I see where the potential is in making people ######### themselves as a horrifying ghost just pops into their face.
But like any horror film, the best fear is stoked in tension, and if the audience knows its coming....they don't scream....they don't even shudder. My audience are the survivors I play against, and if I can't put on an exciting show... the game feels...bad... if they're bored, I'm bored too... nobody even has to die as long as the experience up to the point of the exit gates was enough to pan the vast array of emotion from safe and tranquil all the way up to full blown panic and doubt as they just barely escape by an inch of their life.....to where gg means something besides
"gg see ya later match is over"
to
"GG that ######### was epic, I can't believe I got out of that alive and my friends distraction actually worked, I just narrowly hit dead hard at just the right time, holy hell that was epic!"
Forgettable experience, vs memorable ones.

Temporary Halloween styled skins? Like the mummy, Dracula, zombies, werewolf, etc.Silly stuff as a temp costume I would be good with but that seems like a lot of work for the team. I wonder if they could have maybe a "holiday pack" in the store you buy special outfits worn only during events this way they get more than 1 use. Maybe $10 or something. Any temporary costumes(halloween, santa hats, event themed costumes) would be part of this package. $10 for Survivors $10 for Killers maybe a deal if you buy both.
If they add certain Halloween themed cosmetics...I would wear them all the time...never mind the flashiness. Bring on cute werewolves and all the witches please.

Challenges
Risky Saboteur:
Hooks, hooks, hooks everywhere! The killer appears to have way too many! Let's help them by removing some, shall we?
Challenge mode= Survivor
Current difficulty rating= 5/10Perks=
(No Mither)
(Saboteur)
(Resilience)
(Object of Obsession)Objective= Break at least 5 hooks in a match and record a video of you breaking them.
Forced Vacation
You have invited four survivors on a little get-together you have been planning for a while. Everyone is going to have fun, whether they want to or not! Don't forget to show your friends the nice pictures you took.
Challenge mode= Killer
Current difficulty rating= 8/10Perks=
(Deerstalker)
(Blood Warden)
(Hangman's Trick)
(Territorial Imperative)Objective= Take three pictures of all 4 survivors in three specific places.
- A picture in the spacious, yet very comfy basement.
- A picture in the main building or at the central structure on the map.
- A picture in an area without number 1 or 2 in them.
Special Rules= At least two of the survivors in the photos must be in the dying state, hooked, or on your shoulder.
I'll add more when I have a chance. let me know what you think and if you find them too easy or hard for their current difficulty rating.

My personal experience with pig has always been one of amusement and terror. One minute you are minding your own business as a survivor on a gen. (must be a micheal, or pig) Turn away for a second to check another point of access, and then slowly pan camera back.....and there she is......staring daggers at you from a crouch position 10 feet away. (Heart skips a beat or two as you fly off that gen so fast.)
Also,
Playing the jaws theme song in your head as you slowly get closer to your prey. Seeing them on the gen, and just waiting for them to wig the mess out. Trying to get as close as you can without moving too much(Weeping angel style.) And then the amount of explosive reaction as the survivor jumps all over the place is priceless.
aside from that....I don't see a reason to camp with the pig a whole lot. Place trap on head, decide to hook this one or not, patrol for viable subjects in the grand experiment. Two deaths later, and one on the hook. Last guy has a trap on his head....let him free. (And then watch his reaction, and record feedback from the experiment.)
Who ever said science wasn't fun?

I believe they also cannot discuss ongoing investigations and reports that they have received.

As redsopine1 stated, name shaming is against forum conduct. Use the in-game report system, and the online support page to report grievances and bugs.
If you have difficulty doing so, at least send a message to a friendly Moderator or ACM staff, and they will make sure to point you in the right direction.

An awesome character, I can't wait to see how she will play out in the scheme of things.

There is no ETA. I asked about it in their last dev stream and they said it's something they wanted to do but they're just not there yet. It may not be a leaderboard...but what is a "ladder"?

Not to dissuade you from making polls, but I think a two part poll...or two separate polls would of been more effective than cramming both questions in one.
I chose, "I like the horror genre in general". I chose this because I do watch horror movies and do appreciate the genre quite a bit. (Just not all day, every day.)

Chris shook his head gently, trying to recall what happened before his arrival to this strange realm. "I remember the trials and the beings inside of them. I remember waking up in a forest a mile from my house, and that's it." He said with obvious confusion.
"I feel like I'm missing some of my memory. If only I could figure out what it was...." The young man rambled off as he looked around at the deserted streets, and the fog circling around the city buildings. "The only person I have seen since I woke up, was you."
Chris reached down gently and pulled his bike up by the handlebars and inspected it really quickly. The chain was off, and one of the tires looked bad. "You wouldn't happen to have a clue where everyone has gotten off to then, do you? What should we do now?"

It's 100% unfair that the survivor doesn't get a chance at surviving when they are the last one. There have been so many times when 3 survivors die or dc leaving the 1 survivor that I haven't even hooked yet. I down them, hook them, I expect for them to get off of the hook... but they die instantly.Survivors should ALWAYS have the chance to attempt escape, no matter how many survivors are left.
Now don't even complain about "But if they don't struggle at all, that'll make me a victim of a hostage situation." GROW UP. Go make a Hot-Pocket or something, you're not a victim.
I feel this would lead immediately to an "injured chase". If the 2 gens aren't done, they can't even attempt hatch....which forces them to "hide super effectively", and aim at finishing said gens to even attempt escape.
(In the scenario the devs talked about in the last Q & A, this would immediately open the exit gates, and cause a mad dash/hiding run toward one of the doors. In the case of everyone else disconnecting....this would equate to a fairly fast game usually.)
I've gotten used to each game taking 20-45 mins a session.(With the occasional 5-10 mins thrown in.)
Throwing in the ability to allow the last survivor to attempt salvation would increase the game by aprox 20 mins max in the current form.....and about 1-5 mins aprox in the scenario the devs proposed.
It should be tested, but I don't know how well it will hold up. It would cause mental frustration on either the survivor or killer side. (It would literally effect the players sense of hope and despair, beyond merely the games intent....)
LOL....a perfect time to suggest a sanity/fear system.
-
According to the wiki: (I'm paraphrasing)
It's a flat rate of 625 points per survivor quitting. (If all 4 were to quit, it would be 2500)
Unless, you have noticed a difference?

I don't think going AFK is bannable.
Possible reasons are that it's way too common for whatever reason. Sometimes players get a phone call, or a pizza girl at the door.
I realize there probably are people who just let their game sit there. I guess for de-pip purposes.......not sure.
