Anyways, it just goes to show that survivors will make themselves believe anything it means they can blame another person or a game mechanic on their loss rather than their own lack of experience.
That applies to basically any other game, where one side can make excuses

Oh I know. i never claimed it was hard to hit rank 1. That's why there's such a disparity in survivor play. One game i'm playing with gods the next game i'm playing with bots.
Than why would rank matter in your original post?

I read the whole thing and finally someone talked about it in detail. It is like going against other killers. All killers have thier weaknesses and just because you can't loop a nurse, try other things. The examples you gave are exactly what I do to nurses. Line of sight is her biggest weakness so making her have to choose multiple directions vs one will help the survival of (you) the survivor to a greater extent.!! I'm glad someone knows about it, it feels like it gets ignored a lot of the time, but I may be wrong lol
it gets ignored because most other killers don't suffer heavily from los compared to nurse. Which is why people never do it to other killers and totally forget to do it against a nurse..

Edit 1 - I've been notified of Whispers, not sure how I forgot it, I'll have to look into advantages and disadvantages of it, I'm not all that confident with the perk.

Yeah idk if you saw my edit that I made at the very bottom just as you posted, but the issue would be to long to implement imo, but I could be wrong.
Indeed the aspect of the one shot is gone and if you are getting looped if you predict where they are on the loop just chuck a hatchet through the object and hit them. It will make survivors have to dodge in the open more instead of relying on big circles..
-
Which is why I said "95% of the time it has no use" meaning you don't get an escape most of the time, but in some situations you will..

Now let's name killers who can one-shot with add ons.
-Trapper
-Huntress
-Clown.
I don't think that Redhead's Pinky Finger is abusive, because it doesn't effect you directly. The killer still have to hit you to get you down.
I also don't think that the honing stone is abusive, because it's situational: if someone who's on the other side of the map step in a trap, then his friends can still get him up while the killer is on his way.>
What I propose:
I don't see why a killer should be more priviledged than the others (about their add ons of course. That's a good thing they reworked on Hag, which is one of my favourite killers).
So, either we should create add ons that allow the things I mentionned up there;
or it needs to disappear.
I'm open to any reaction. The only difference for clown is he needs to directly get up on the survivor while huntress can do it from any distance would be the main difference.
As for a suggestion I have an idea:
Similar to how mint rag can have a cooldown for 15 seconds make it so the huntress can have hatchets which can go through objects, but only as a cooldown and it would not be an insta down. I think it would make for real cool through the wall shots in some buildings and it wouldn't be overpowered because it would have a cooldown effect. Also the hatchet can't pass through more than one object. For example: The hatchet can go through one wall, but not two. Can go through one truck, but not two. As for the cooldown, I don't know how long it should be, but it should be between 20 - 40 seconds. The cooldown is up to the person thinking about the idea and their perspective on it.The issue with this idea^^:
The devs would have to go through every map and work out all the collisions with the hatchet which would take a very very long time.. -
95% of the time this perk has no use..

There has been a fair amount of discussion on this. Determining the proper length of time for the chase to last is a contentious issue - but an important one to resolve. Once Survivors learn that the last one of them will get FREE GATES at the end, the incentive for them to keep doing generators goes down if things aren't going well for them. Rather, it is better to hide and just wait it out until you're the last survivor - and then make your run for the free gates.A good potential solution might be to adjust the time of the final chase based upon how many generators were still left to be done. Maybe add 10 seconds for each one that was left in addition to the base 60 seconds:
So, 1 Gen left = total of 70 seconds. 2 Gens = 80, 3 Gens = 90, etc.
This would keep survivors interested in going the generators all the way till the end.
This is a great idea to go on top of it I ship it
-
Interesting idea, this will encourage survivors to work on one generator at a time or two at a time because if they work on 3 or more than lots of regression could be applied.

One advice though, dont force yourself to play the game because you wanna P3 someone. Try to have fun playing the game and if you dont have fun anymore, take a break.
Maybe im mistaken, but I think the devs wanted to rework the whole daily thing at one point, but maybe it has been dropped alreadey, dont know
I have over 2k hours on this boring bland game. The only time it's fun when they bring in a new killer, with friends. They need to rework it. I think my level idea./prestige idea is good. it rewards players for leveling up their. This game doesn't reward you for being good, hitting rank 1, nothing. hardly any rewards what so ever.I am devotion 1 player level 11.Oh good, more bloodshards, hhar har. Very little rewards for player progression or getting good in this game, which we need.
Yeah, the game needs to become competitive because this is the only thing that will keep the game alive in the long run.
I dont think that a 3month injection of non-viable killers is healthy in the long run, even though so far it worked pretty well.
This game will never become competitive..
It already is though.
LMAO
There have been and still are active tournaments for DBD which by very definition is a "competition" and participants in said tournaments are "competing" so yeah it's competitive. Granted it's new on the competitive scene but give it time.
The reason why it isn't is because only one killer is always played in those competitions cause nurse has the highest kill potential compared to all other killers. I love playing every killer, but she does have the most potential compared to others which is why she was only played in the DBD tournament. She avoids all pallets.

than you can also run fun meme builds with the killer for your own amusement

I am an avid DBD player and absolutely love the game. But it is very annoying when i get downed and have a very slim chance of escaping because there are too many damn hooks around the map.The offerings are random so it could only erase a hook thats nearby another 40 hooks.
Not everyone has saboteur and can communicate within game to get rid of hooks.
The damn wiggle time is too hard, we already have Iron Grasp to make it impossible, it doesn't have to be nearly impossible without it.
There is a thing called body blocking hooks, sabo hooks, many ways to help survivors get off a killers shoulder. Also flashlights

There will still be salty people in the end game chat who want to bring you down because you killed them in a video game. There is nothing that can be done about it. As much as we want to change it, there is nothing that can be done about it.Kind of the point of this post..

Hag is fine, also you never need more than 3 traps under hooks. Only need one and one at a gen. If you prioritize all of your traps under a hook or all on one single generator (depends on the situation) than you are just playing her badly..

Can people stop putting Hag as high tier, as if her doing something slightly easier now you could do with an add on always makes her good when she can't chase for crap and you can fart and remove her ability.Well I can tell you don't play hag. You aren't suppose to chase with the hag. The only time you chase with her is if the survivor is running toward your traps. If the survivor is not running toward your traps than it is not worth that chase. She is slow so you can't rely on your speed to catch up to the survivors and you will only get hits with your traps or sneaking up on people doing gens in dead zones. She is top tier because she can cut off loops and make survivors run towards her traps.
I don't need to play Hag much cause I main Nurse. See Nurse has crap walk speed but has an ability that more than offsets that.
Now look at Hag. You can say "you don't need to chase with Hag" That's not the point. Killers are situational. Even if I'm not chasing I want the ability to cause a situation may call for it, in short bursts or whatever. It's like saying a car engine is fine if it's weak because you might never need to go 100 mph.
At some point you need closing speed. Hag has little.
They made some slight quality of life changes and took the slow down off a couple addons. Big whoop. She is marginally better but no, I am not a Hag main but I never die to any of them either. Hell you just set off all the traps and Hag is almost useless save for the fact you might get to set a trap during a chase, and in that two seconds I can break LOS.
The point is BHVR is selling you this myth Hag is so much better. She's marginally better. Still slow AF
As I said above you place traps down and make the survivors run into them. You say you will just set all of her traps off great she can just place more and if you trigger a trap at the wrong time well there is a free hit for the hag. As long as she has someone on the hook she can constantly place more and more traps. Just beacuse you don't die to a hag doesn't mean that other people don't die from one. I don't die from nurses. That is a true statement. I can die from a god nurse, but not a ######### one..

Slugging has helped me in so many situations, if I know a hook is super far away and I have not slugged one person during the whole match. I will usually try to slug if this occurs so than they come in for heals and I get a bunch of free hits off or even another down closer to a hook to save more time and get them off gens.

Before anyone jumps on me for the title, I'm a killer main myself and this is pretty much a QQ post. I've just recently gotten into survivor with probably <5 hours played as survivor. Even though I know a little bit about the mechanics and game play, I still SUCK and get owned often. I'm terrible at looping and skill checks and I often get caught. Shouldn't that be the norm for rank 15 players though? So my question is, why are there killers at 13/14/15 running these super sweaty builds to straight murder these new survivors? At this level, my teammates (myself included) are running lame perks or no perks due to character level. I'm running into killers often with fotm builds (ruin/bbq etc) running ebony moris and ultra rare addons. What gives dudes? As a killer main myself, I find this pretty gross and dishonorable behavior. I don't even start running addons until blue ranks, even then I'll seldom do it.
For so long, I've always wondered why survivors were so toxic at the end of rounds with salty trolls and tea bagging at the gate. Now, I don't even blame them.
tl;dr: I'm disappointed in the community I belong to.
This game has been balanced around the low ranks. You cant blame killers for dereanking in order to play a balanced game, I do this too now (even though I dont derank that far).
Its simply not fun versing optimal survivors, especially in SWF, so I simply avoid that now until the devs balance the game around that (assuming that will ever happen....)
So you admit to DC to make people waste their time, just great!
-
The system is super easy to pip idk why people still complain about pipping
-
You can always explain how you were hit, but it is more useful to see video because it can also be due to latency issues..
-
Well @Vietfox is not the majority of the survivors, so you can't compare @Vietfox to the other survivors. Also sloppy and make your choice are direct counters because if it takes them to long to heal they are not doing gens and self-care will take to long so the killer can find them before they finish their self-care if the killer plays it right.
-

There are many ways of countering self-care:
Nurse's Calling,
Thanatophobia,
Sloppy Butcher,
Coulrophobia,
Dying Light
Perks that indirectly counter self-care:
Monitor and Abuse (on specific killers),
Make Your Choice,
Stridor,
BBQ and Chili,
Devour Hope,
NOEDNon of the above is a "counter" to Self Care.
Nothing is preventing SC from getting used, it only make it take a little longer.
And also one hits aren't counter either, most of them are tied to very specific conditions and have counterplay in themself. They counter it because it does take longer yet hindering the effect of how useful self-care is. I have won games due to self-caring taking to long because of sloppy with make your choice being a thing while slugging..

Thanks for Reading and devs, you've done a pretty good job so far
Pigs ultra rare addons are just fine. Even the number 2 rules is amazing. The fact that a survivor doesn't know where the boxes are until a generator is done is a big upside.
-
Well the survivor who makes the skill check fail should be the one who gets the punishment. You shouldn't punish players more if they didn't do anything wrong. As Doc said above, the killer will know where the survivors are.

Laurie- Increases your chances to become the obssesion and not leave blood puddles (make it so only the obssesion can use DS,no nerf needed, I like DS and mostly on Laurie because it is really unique to her from the movie)
Dwight- See the aura of survivors for 10 seconds every time a gen is done and once the exit gates are open, you see the survivors aura at all times, red aura if hurt
etc
But once the survivor is chosen by another player in the lobby it can’t be chosen by anyone else, only one survivor of each.If you did this you would only see a few characters being played from the rest because people will play for the advantage and not the characters

I have several questions:
1. Could you guys add a cross platform element to the game, because I want to play with several friends who only play on ps4.
2. Planned buff for Freddy?
3. Can you up the rewards for leveling up your player account, because shards are longer to build up now, and/or adding a bonus for your rank at the end of the season.- This will never happen because Sony has issues with cross platforming, so it isn't up to DBD to make this decision.
- The buff for Freddy is coming and I heard from multiple people that it is the mid chapter patch, but the Q & A said they don't have an announced time so it is still up in the air, but soon.
- They talked about this in a recent Q & A and they said for now no, but in the future they will be adding rewards for the levels.

The dev's use the word "fun" a lot in the recent QA but that "fun" is all for the power role, where is the killers "fun"?how does a couple of seconds of extra healing justify removing the killers ability to hook anyone by buffing sabo to the old days while also making slugging less effective... you just removed all ways the killer has to actually kill survivors for a couple of seconds more healing......
It was a suggestion they were thinking to balance out buffing sabo. It is not coming to the game so you wouldn't have to worry about it..

This, and you have to give the Survivor a head start at two pallets previously, so you are probably using Brutal Strength as well. That's allot of perk slots you are using up in the hopes that Survivors don't drop every third pallet a half second sooner...
You can always mind game pallets and play more aggressively, so they don't expect you and they throw pallets at the wrong times. You don't need brutal specifically and the play style doesn't have to be all built around spirit fury. I could run Sloppy Butcher, Make your choice, and other perks with spirit fury and still do well.
