Just run autodidact instead of self-care. Self-care 32 seconds, mangled 40 longer than recovery time on the floor
-
you should be able to

tl;dr: I understand why people get banned for intentionally disconnecting, but I think there should be a way for people to play casually, in an environment like that which you encounter at low ranks, so that they're not forced to dc in order to derank just so that they can play the game in an enjoyable, low-pressure atmosphere. You can always make another steam account and invest in a second account so you can have another account with a low rank after you up the other

"Survivors Forcing DC"Don't try and justify peoples bans by saying it's the survivors faults, lmfao.
When the exit gates are open and hatch is there and the survivor stays in the match for over 1 hour how is it the killers fault..

Why isn't Insidious getting tweaked in addition?Maybe increase the speed in which it activated in order to make it useful in ambush situations or possibly chases when near high walls.
We all know this won't stop camping, but if you're going to punish a tactic you've advocated, you should compromise in another area.
Definitely would make los breaks more interesting if they reduced the seconds for some fun play

Right now it is a trash tier perk, a 40 second cooldown for vaulting a window?I would change it to still see all the auras, but the cool down is either significantly reduced or ignored when vaulting a window but reset when dropping or sliding across any pallet. The 40 second timer for one window vault is just too brutal
This perk is only supposed to be used to get information before you are in a chase. It even says that this perk has the cooldown active when you vault during a chase. This is fine because in a chase you shouldn't be able to run around and see every pallet/window you come across.
-
I mean the killer has a choice to use you as information or use you as bloodpoints. If you don't get your way than you can't be surprised about it..
-
If you remove swf than you are going to kill the game. Try other ideas instead. People want to have fun on a game and love playing with friends.
-
People could still destroy the dull totems and no hex would spawn, so really nothing would happen..
@redsopine1 -
The survivor hitbox doesn't have a head, you could define the hitbox section into a head, but it is considered just one giant hitbox
-
The only thing I see is the system might get manipulated by people to benefit the person abusing the system
-
With pig you can also crouch to force them away from loops and come out of crouch right away with combat straps. Have gotten so many hits doing this, not a good reason to say she is not strong imo.

can't use hatch

most likely because of the DC

I would use rancor cause I just mind game them to drop pallets or get hits off

You can't win every game you play even if they were not swf. Take the loss and learn from what you did wrong in the gameI don't believe for a second that these complaints all stem from wanting to win all the time.
There's a youtube video that shows a coordinated team opening all 5 gens in -3- minutes! 3 MINUTES!
And escaping by the 4th minute! Because the video is not even 5 minutes long!
That's just absurd!
Pretty sure it was linked to in this thread, but deleted. That's largely the sort of insanity we're complaining about. It's just not worth the time, headache, or gamble when an swf is more than 2 people with me. That may not all be that good, but I don't like my odds.
Me? I don't mind people escaping so long as I maybe get -1- person, and the entity isn't displeased. I'd like the trial to last more than 6 minutes. I'd like some chases, some hits, a hooking or 3. It's rare I get a 4 kill game, and I'm okay with that. I may never see rank 13, and I'm ok with that.
Getting curb stomped by an swf just is -not- fun.Just because a group is swf doesn't mean they are good. You will run into matches were they are playing for fun and don't care about strategy. The opposite can happen where they are so coordinated and optimized even as the killer you don't make a mistake you can lose for it. Do I think that is fun, I mean people usually remember the worst situations. It is a game and you can't get every kill.
Well, it should entirely be possible to get every kill. Full stop. At least as far as a trial goes. If someone will always escape, something is screwed up.
Over the entire time playing the game, I agree. No one is perfect. Not sure I want to run into the person that can quad every match. lolLike I said, I don't expect to get every kill. I honestly don't! Not even in a trial to trial basis.
I won't let people go unless they're at the gate or hatch (then I want them to frikking leave so I can move on to the next game! lol), and if I can get them all dead I will, but you apparently missed the part where I mentioned the 4:07 trial long, spawn to out the gate video where coordinated survivors not only got all the generators, but all 4 escaped. This, and really close to this is painfully common.
https://youtu.be/rJqFxk8U0OYNo, not all SWFs are that optimized, but way too many are too close to that.
I remember the bad because that's basically all I get.
At best I get a carousel hook save kill because they hammered out all the generators within a few minutes. It's not worth it.I recognize an SWF group has odds of being people playing more in the spirit of the original game instead of just looking for a quick win, but I run in to them all too rarely.
Edit: all 4 didn't escape, but you still get the picture, yeah?
My question to you is why do people still play this game when they are being screwed by the game mechanics heavily against them??
How much of "Well, it should entirely be possible to get every kill" really applies. Survivors can be stealthy never be seen, play tactically hide in lockers not show scratches. You might never see that survivor and they can escape. So should you be able to kill someone who plays on point stealth? The player should be rewarded for playing well, not that you should get the kill in every trail. The 4 minute game thing is just game design issue which we all agree sucks.

Ofc there are bad SWF, hell there are survivors out there that play 4 man SWF in their first hour, but does that mean that the opposite never happened and thus doesnt need to be respected when it comes to balance?
When you dont even have the possibility to get every kill, then theres sth wrong if you ask me

I agree, game mechanics and maps make that possible

Take the loss and learn from what you did wrong in the gameWhen I take a break from DBD and play racing games for example, I can always go back a few moments before I smashed into the wall/tree and analyze what I ahve done wrong. I identify my mistake and can work around the next time.
In DBD thats not possible. You will have matches where you simply dont know what to do different because basically you have to pray that the survivors play bad.
Yes that is true, but those are specific matches you are pointing out. Most matches you can actually learn from mistakes that you personally misplayed. If you don't misplay than the game mechanics just screw you over

Since the new survivor, Adam Francis, had came out with an interesting perk called Deliverance, this brings a new way to rework something that shows both survivors and killers your hand when playing with No Mither. As it is right now, No Mither is only useful if the killer lets you stay down in dying state long enough to let you recover fully. Which, if the killer notices that you have the Broken state, they would not be dumb enough to allow this. When you run No Mither, the killer will instantly pick you up, defeating the purpose of the perk all together. Now back to the Deliverance. That perk has the forethought to not indicate that you have it until you use it. And its a one time use. This should be the way No Mither works as well. You would have the normal, non broken state at start, but when you go down and successfully recover all the way, you would then have the broken state for 60 sec. if you are downed while having the broken state, you can not recover fully. But if you last the 60 sec. of broken state, then you would be able to use it once again. Making the perk a bit more useful.Thoughts on this possible idea of a rework?
If the killer was smart they would realize that someone is injured at the start of the match and keep tabs on them knowing that they have no mithar without giving the indication..
-
Just because you randomize things, doesn't meant the game would get any harder. Having smaller maps will help. Lockers, jungle gyms, and T-Walls are always randomized in every match. Yes they can spawn in the same areas, but not every time you will see the same structure in the same spot.

I wasn't expecting a Freddy buff this mid chapter. The devs had already mentioned before that they need more time for it. As far buffs for the killers are concerned, the healing time nerf is a buff for all the anti-heal killer perks. Thanatophobia, Dying Light, Coulrophobia, Sloppy Butcher are all insanely buffed now. It'll take upto 120 seconds to self care, if all these perks are used. Most likely the healing changes are just being tested

You will always remember the negative aspects of each game. What about the times you actually got out with everyone or the time you destroyed everyone as killer...
watch anyone play at rank 1 on youtube. take tru3ta1ent for example. all of his rank 1 games where he gets a 4k it isnt because he is good but because the survivors are trash. watch a vid and pay close attention and see how well the survivors really did as far as efficiency and evading and you will see how bad they did. so those times i destroy everyone as killer its really because they sucked. unless nurse lmao
So you blame your lost on the skill of the survivors
Thats how it is sadly.
Yeah I know it is, but being more unpredictable as a killer with your movements can close that gap..

Personally it is the maps that make or break it. The design of pallets or how many you can have can extend chases for prolonged times. (Non mind Game able loops... )

Why not? If survivors stick around doesn't that increase your chances of getting a 4k?
Yeah that is true, but at the same time, why would survivors stick around risk thier life when the gate is open and they can just leave. Points are points and you could get even more by starting a new game since by the time the trial is over and you want to "farm gens" your altruism, boldness are probably already max or close to max

But how much damage could possibly be done to someone on the other side of a window when they are running away? Theyre obviously trying to avoid taking damage. If able, survivors would jump through and land on their tummies or something right? Not our fault we are limited in motions. Id see someone only getting a graze. It sucks getting downed by this kinda thing. If i gotta vault to avoid damage.,the killer should have to vault to inflict it.It really depends on the situation though. Killers can even hit through windows even if you aren't vaulting on the other side. Since a window is an open space and the weapon can travel across the open space.

not to mentjon how they killed any semblance of mindgames or stealth with the changes out of the PTB, her power is low tier now, anecdotal evidence of people sometimes doing well against poor survivors means very little.
Because some people want more variety in a game besides playing nurse 24/7
theres more killers that are much better than spirit than just nurse

Can we not break immersion please. This game definitely won't be scary anymore if everyone is running around in swimsuits. It works with F13, but not DBD.
Than why do we have so many cosmetics that already make you super obvious to the killer. You don't have to run the cosmetic if you don't want to
It doesn't matter how obvious you look, if it fits with the characters personality/trope, fine. This has nothing to do with standing out. It just wouldn't make sense for everyone to be running around in swimsuits. This isn't a summer camp, it's an evil entities realm.
ah I thought you meant stand out it could go both ways, but if you meant the lore wise than yes it clearly makes sense to not have them in the game.

What happens if a teammate wants to heal you, does the killer hallucination just stand in front of the survivor wanting the heal?Maybe the hallucination would stop if you let the survivor start the heal action, but then you would have to take the risk letting the killer/survivor come close. Or maybe to balance it out that within 6 meters the hallucination would stop, so you would flee from the survivor until you reached a pallet to see if it was the killer or a friendly survivor.
yeah that would make sense for unhooking survivors too so you can see the unhook animation for the other survivor

You say killers and solo survivors are getting buffs, nothign has happened so far yet, that did NOT happen during the last updates.
Whether you buff soloszurvivor and killer or nerf swf doesnt matter, but nerfing SWF directly is the logical approach and is easier balance-wise. "Nobody likes to get nerfed" omg dude, pls grow up
Why do you think survivors see notifications for totems?... Perk notifications?... So solo survivors know ruin is there.. that you have we'll make it... etc.
Killer buffs?... Why did Mr Bing Bong get buffed?... Trapper? Why are they looking at other killers?... Because of solo players?... Nah.. cause they need to be more powerful to compete with SWF. Killers don't need to compete with the solo players as much as the SWF players. You know the difference between the two groups. No one is coming here complaining about being matched up against 4 solo players.
These kind of things are happening for a reason. They need to bring up the information level of solo survivors so they don't get screwed over by not being in SWF using VOIP. Killers wouldn't be touched if they only were playing against solo players.
It is psychological. They put out a nerf... People cry and ######### about it. They put out buffs... People are happy.... Make sense? I think you haven't been paying close attention to what the Developers talk about on streams.
The devs did say kindred would be base for all survivors which would definitely help solo survivor to show who is going for the rescue or not so you don't waste as much time for two people running across map for a save when one person could have been on a generator.
