Yeah I'm feeling the same way. I was so excited for the Plague but now I still am happy to see her come to the game but any Hype I had has died down with how dragged out the release feels. Plus You kind of have already seen and played everything new.
That is your choice to see the killer early and not BHVR's fault for you feeling that way.
-
@AshleyWB The reason why we have a PTB is so we don't have issues like we had with Freddy. People thought he was super op when he released, so people wanted him to get a nerf. Than he got his nerf cause people were panicking at BHVR to fix the issue quick since it was on live servers and people were starting to give terrible ratings. This could have all been avoided with having the PTB to let players try out the killer before release to see if they are to strong or to weak. If they are even fun to play against or as. Bugs have nothing to do with this and yes bugs do get found as well in the PTB which is nice, so there are less bugs when the update goes live.
Bugs always will happen when an update comes out with this much content in the game anyways and we all know that.
The PTB makes everything much cleaner and the "hype" you are talking about can be better if you don't wanna participate in the PTB. Also not spoil yourself to PTB content online, but that is your choice to make and no one else's choice. "Make your choice" ;)

I understand why they run the PTB before every new chapter, but I don't really care for the process either. It does kind of spoil the hype, especially for console players.
Since they have so many Fog Whisperers now, I feel like they should start testing new content "internally" with them so that everything can remain a surprise for regular players.
You know you don't have to watch their content from the PTB if you don't wanna be spoiled, that is your fault if you spoil yourself to the new content.

New rework:
The killer sees your aura if they look in your direction while you're outside their TR, you see the killer's aura if both of you are looking at each other while outside the killer's TR, and nothing happens otherwise.
I like this change more than the previous one cause I was about to ask how was chase going to work with killer seeing the aura the whole time. Having it so the killer can see you outside of the TR when you are not looking at them will give more risk to having a chase ensue or killer having knowledge for what gens are being worked on, saves, etc.
-
I mean Identity V is what dbd should have done for their 2 v 8 mode. I was streaming that on pc yesterday was so much fun with one of my mods
-
I mean you could always implement this into stridor to make hearing things overall louder, aka the footsteps and crows on top of it. I don't think we need a whole new perk for that, but this is my opinion and I can be wrong. Also I think stridor is fine since I like using it the way it is.

Rank 1
Pig 0/10
Hag 0/10
Spirit 0/10
Huntress 5/10
Trapper 5/10
Wraith 0/10
Billy 2/10
Nurse 0/10
Doctor 5/10
Freddy 5/10
Legion 0/10
Clown 2/10
Myers 2/10
I play mostly pig/hag/spirit/huntress/nurse, but I also do killer rotations for puddings to get more familiar with all of them. Some of them I run ruin here and there if I don't have sloppy butcher. I personally think Huntress, Doctor, and Trapper need ruin to setup early game, but that is just my opinion and I know people don't run ruin on those killers.
-
Went against 4 billies in a row and broke all of their ankles yesterday
-
It is all based on playstyle, I do like hag more since I like the predication of placing traps in areas survivor run towards and placing traps during chase to setup for future chases is fun for me. She gets stronger as the match goes on and also depends on how many flashlights are used in the match and how they use the flashlights. You can always spice up trap placements similar to trapper so they don't expect them to be in certain areas. Clown is not bad either, but like an earlier post said if you don't have ruin try and get it to use for other killers. Personally I never use ruin, but it is nice to have on some killers with specific builds.
-
Personally I struggle more on grim pantry, pale rose (boat is being fixed next patch) more than estate.
-
You are on the edge of the TR, I use that to get a jump on people my self and know how far my TR is when playing her so for sure on edge
-
@franticpig29 I just tested this on the ptb and I hit the obsession with my m1, pulled out my static field walked to the other side of the map and my friend went to the opposite side and was still getting madness so yes it does transfer the static field to the obsession and affects anyone near the obsession for 20 seconds

I was very impressed when I heard the chase music from Myers while being hunted. So I aksed myself: why not for every Killer ?
Maybe the Huntress ( for example ) hums her lullaby more aggressively when hunting and the song bayu bayushki bayu plays in the background of it. What do you think of that ? If you have ideas, make sure to leave them here
Huntress hums only when she is not in chase, so that wouldn't make much sense

So I despise NOED on Legion because players force themselves to not use their power so they can get the 1 hit down, that's not how you play Legion. BUT, I'm going to eventually P3 my Legion and decided to get NOED just to see if I'm wrong and maybe it's cool on Legion.Looking at the perks I have, Bitter Mutter, Remember Me, NOED, and STBFL, I'm going to use Joey's Mixtape and the ywllow mixtape for cooldown, I got to thinking maybe Legion can actually be good at the endgame. At this writing I haven't tried it yet nor can I today but have you guys tried this, am I wrong about Legion and NOED, do you think Legion's got Endgame material and no one knows yet?
It is your own opinion on how you play the killer. Some people will use mixtape for easy fast downs. I will just do duration and block window/pallet to hit them out of the stun. Or if end game body block them from exit and hit them down.
I love the Mixtape combo, nothing toxic or wrong about it, it makes the Killer actually lethal with their power instead of a nuisance. I haven't tried the block the window and pallet out of stun yet, they always seem to find a way to get behind me and jump back over but it sounds amazing.
I know everyone has their style with playing I just don't like the idea of purposefully crippling yourself just to get that bonus, that choice can cost you the game because the risk is very high. I've seen many Legions win because of it but a lot of others lose as well because they are still too slow and realize their power can close the gap but hurts them even more. Legion is super complicated with many mechanics it's annoying.
Agree it can be risky, but making it risky and fun is worth it for me personally

I do think an endgame Legion is plausible. However I don't think NOED is the way to go about it.Instead I would recommend using Remember me since the Legion gets way more hits in than the average killer making him great at getting tokens for it (also for STBFL but that's less useful for Legion)
I'd use Remember me, Blood warden, Mutter and Sloppy butcher/Bloodhound
Normally I'd use thanatiphobia but this is an endgame build so I'll make an exception
Yeah I was thinking STBFL because I met this one Legion who did really good with it, it was in Lery's though so small spaces are good for that. He didn't have NOED but he was using the double cooldown and that perk and it was fine for him. He told me he'd recommend it for close encounters, thought this buiild would compliment that playstyle.
Remember Me is probably one of the best perks for Legion, that alone is great for Endgame, I'd use Blood Warden but I don't have it yet.
Ah. I don't see STBFL being too good on Legion since he doesn't have issues with attack speed given how frenzy works
Does STBFL affect Feral Frenzy?
Yes it does stack

As for any file editing, I wouldn't try it.It real isn't file editing, you are just replacing old icons with new ones. Like taking a picture that has the same name and replacing it with a new one
Now if you added pictures or removed them from the file than you are messing with the game.
It's kinda like saying that replacing musics in the game is fine (even full muted musics) because it's simply "replacing" and not "adding" or "deleting". (Even tho musics do have more impact on the gameplay than pictures ofc)
Very debatable.
I wouldn't try it.
The day any anti-cheat software will get updated and suddendly detect a file difference, you might just get insta-banned.
You'd better simply have a legit game.
Tho, it's up to your own risks. Here is the thing with that tho. It cant detect it cause your are putting it in the same file name. And waht eac basically does is check the base game files and compare it to your game files. So if you somehow do [BAD WORD] up your file names and EAC notices it, u will get banned. But if you do put it in correct file anme and replace it, I dont think EAC will notice it. I thasnt noticed it for me
Yeah exactly true
-
You can't compare Micheal and Legion. Micheal at least has counter play to pallets and windows. His power is los so you can block yourself from seeing Myers. Legion has very little counterplay. The only one is stunning legion with pallets.

Another thing to add on is the Nursing Calling nerf that was unnecessary and wasn't even asked for. Although this doesn't effect me because I don't use it on Doctor or Freddy, I've never seen anyone asking for Snapping out of it to be removed from Nursing calling and I've never seen anybody asking for Waking up to be removed from Nursing Calling. To me, the nerfs to that perk was unnecessary
no one asked for these. the reason why they changed them was because people kept telling the devs they should make mend seen by nurse's calling and made the argument that snap out and wake up are healing actions. Therefore they removed those from nurses calling to let us know that they don't want any of those to be considered healing.

Honestly with Spirit I believe the “Father’s Glasses” add-on where she can see the blood during her phase walk should be in her base kit. You would have to be extremely good with her to always be able to follow a survivor perfectly, sometimes the scratch marks go all over the place. The vision should be fixed during phase walking, scratch marks should be brighter, and blood should be visible during phase walking.
Really good spirits use the grass or footsteps to track people when phasing
True, and I agree she doesn't need to see blood while in spirit form, however, everything is helpful when looking for Survivors including Survivor breathing sounds and scratch marks. Using only a couple of things you can to track just makes you weaker overall. Also, footsteps are currently bugged and are extremely silent or not able to be heard at all.
yeah I agree that the sounds did get ######### and it does hurt killers as a whole. Scratch marks are weird too now

Self-Care: Just use sloppy butcher
DS: Just use Enduring
Borrowed Time: Wait out the 15 seconds or in this case since it is broken even wait 8 seconds cause it doesn't work like it used to anymore. Or just go for the rescuer.
Deliverance: Many people above already explained why it is a balanced perk.Hatch: Use whispers and find them before they find hatch. Hatch is rng so of course this doesn't work 100% of the time. Just hit them and leave not worth waiting when you could go get more bloodpoints and kills in other games.
Hit Cooldowns: Use STBFL if you are worried about cooldowns.I don't think survivors are op. If you know how to apply pressure as a killer you can get people off gens easily.
I suggest looking into how maps are balanced cause some are killer sided while others are survivor sided.
Also the pallet generation seen in tournaments were terrible. You can have one game have 7 pallets in a map while in the next there can be 15. -

@Zanfer yes but there's no real finishing blow. Sure you can't stop his first frenzied attack but then what? Without top tier add-ons Legion is stuck smacking you 3-4 more times before you finally go down. And each time they smack you, they get Nurse stunned, and you get a speed boost.you block them from where they want to go. you don't need to hit them more than once with frenzy. If you do than you are playing the killer very inefficiently. This applies when not using franks mixtape.
If you are running franks mixtape you can break chase than get a guaranteed down on second frenzy hit.
-
People complain about new killers way to early. I was getting 4ks just fine. In fact I think it is super unfun cause I do so well with getting survivors down. They have no way to escape you at all. Pallets, vaults, I just jump that #########. Body block so they can't get anywhere hit them down. Let them bleed out, track scratches from far away. He can be very unfun to go against cause you have no way to stop him from hitting you

Not really. Using Unrelenting in the way it was described here just wastes time. Moreover, using something else like Nurse's, Sloppy or Whispers is objectively more useful.
again all opinions what if i wanted bbq, haunted grounds, enduring, or spirit fury. Some depend on the killer you are playing as well.

A gg means good game. The killer can say gg if they found the game to be good and fun or however the killer defines good. When I play survivor, even if I get out I won't say gg unless it was a tense interesting match against a good killer who put pressure on the map. I won't say gg to a killer who had no pressure in the game cause it is not fun and no need to say gg. Now when I play killer if I don't kill anyone I usually say ggwp cause I always have fun with killer no matter how bad I would lose. The survivors play well I give them wp. Now if I kill everyone with 5 gens up I never say gg cause it was to easy. You have to see it from both sides to determine if the game was good for you personally or not.

T-Bag goes way before DBD. Also pig can do it which is why she is my favorite. Your reaction to a T-Bag is justified since you can take it a certain way while others don't
-
If you are talking about the aura reading only, I don't think it is a noob perk. That would be similar to calling nurse's calling a noob perk to see people healing. Knowing locations of survivors at all times just gives you a lot of information to use similar to how whispers does.

Hit one survivor with your ability.
Leave them be, chase down the other three.
Hit all four, kick gen while they’re forced to heal twice (best to use Overcharge or PGTW with him imo)
A good idea is to use Rancor instead of BBQ&CYeah but did you get a hook from all of that? Probably not because you have to wait for them to mess up (forgetting to mend) or win a 110% M1 chase.
Anyone complaining about trying to win a 110% chase is using Legion incorrectly, obviously the 110% is set in place for you to NOT chase the survivor around but to direct you towards wounding others. If in fact you do chase the survivor, go into Frenzy and body black them, even if you can’t block them you will get close enough to down them. I will gladly give you a perk setup to help make him more viable for you to use.
The only way you can down survivors is if the survivor is mending and doesn't see you coming which is very rare or you can win a 110% M1 chase which takes forever. This leaves us with the last option which is using Frenzy on a survivor multiple amount of times to down them, this is the only viable way to down survivors but this also takes a long time. Not to say putting every survivor into the deep wound status effect does practically anything since they can mend really fast. Just watch this video to see what I mean my friend.
I can disprove the "Only way you can down survivors is if the survivor is mending right here"

I have been hitting them once than using that speed boost to get in front and body block them like wraith. I did it to a jake trying to run to the exit gate and got a kill because of it. You should only spread damage if they are close to you if not just keep chasing the current survivor Bingo. It seems intuitive to take a second hit on the last survivor you inflicted with deep wouns, but no you need to bodyblock and then cancel frenzy with M2.
They should have listed the killer as hard rather than intermediate because it requires quite a different way of playing the game. It has been working for me quite well especially works well if they are hugging walls https://clips.twitch.tv/FlirtyPoliteBatteryBatChest Yes! Please create a tutorial video to stop people moaning 😂 Thats how you take down solo survivors. Before that you hit, then look around to see if there are any auras nearby so you can deep wound as many people as possible.
Once you understand him he's definitely nowhere near Freddy tier just based on how much he can slow the game down.
I still think he is weak but yeah not near freddy level. I think they should reduce the stun after the second hit on a survivor afflicted with deep wounds which they are probably considering. Other than that change either make mending take longer, make it so someone else has to mend you, or make it take less hits with frenzy to down a survivor. 115% would be amazing but I don't see that coming..
The problem with making it so that someone else has to mend you is that you'd be screwed without bond. If he finds two of you together, wounds one and chases the other then you're going to go to bleed out. He'd run the risk of being anle to instaslug everyone, and this is a killer who can pull out 120% movement speed and vault pallets.
Hes a very weird killer. Hearing the developer comments in the other thread explains a lot. They had a good idea but had to make it balanced. So we end up with a very Frankensteinish idea of a killer. Definitely not intuitive.
They definitely need to increase the time it takes to self-mend similar to how it takes longer to self-care. Maybe add skill checks but skill checks are skill checks
