This clown rework is aimed at fixing the problems with his current kit, that haven't been addressed since his release.
Reloading-> it feels annoying and takes up too make time. To streamline this process add a special animation where as he hooks a survivor he grabs bottles off the side of the hook. Also reloading is around 0.75 seconds but only reloads 1 bottle.
The actual affect-> keep survivors hindered while in the gas but to give clown more of a buff give him a speed increase while inside of the cloud. This allows the clown to use his bottles as a movement option instead of just a chase option.
Now to address his perks to fit in with the theme of the clown.
Pop and Bamboozle are perfectly fine but Coulrophobia isn't in a good place. Here's my idea of a rework to Coulrophobia.
Coulrophobia-> your presence alone instills great fear. Survivors within your terror radius have a 30/40/50% penalty to healing progress speed, 10/15/20% penalty to repair progress speed, and while in chase suffer from the blindness status affect.
This way coulrophobia can be used as a zoning perk to discourage survivors away from an area. This forces survivors to move to other areas for faster healing or repairing. The blindness status affect is a little addon as well to remove aura reading perks while in chase.
I'd love to see how you guys feel about this whole reowork down below so leave a comment if you want.
I do like the idea of Clown somehow buffing himself with his gas. Thats actually pretty original. Maybe he could inhale the contents of one bottle and give himself a temporary speed buff?

Since entitled survivors think there so good time to nerf them
Speed boost given from receiving a hit is now reduced by 50%
Throwing down a pallet take alot of energy so giving survivors the exhaustion status affect for 30 seconds
Windows now get block after vaulting once so do pallets
Healing speed reduced by 50%
Bones now are a main objective can't leave without finding and destroying all 5
Pallet mandatory distance from each now 32 meters
This is not what killer mains stand for. You do nothing but continue to prove to survivor elitists that they are right

Hillybilly is a skillshot and can't change his trajectory much.
Oni would need to be inside his power which requires M1s.
Nurse can be juked.
Spirit landing a hit on a healthy sprint bursting survivor in phase is unlikely.
Huntress and deathslinger are not instant downs and they are 110 killers.
Wraith and pig cannot catch up with a sprint bursting survivor unless you are very lucky.
Only Bubba can sprint burst after them, and then some, with an easy to land AOE instant down right off the bat.
Doesnt matter how difficult it is. It matters that it is possible.

Obviously new chase music for different killers is something we always want.
But like all other chase musics are dope but this just feels, weird? I don't know if it's just me
It does not fit Billy. It could fit for any killer really. Its awesome, but....generic. The lobby theme however, is amazing.
-
Base kit Hillbilly, Nurse, Oni, Spirit, Huntress, Deathslinger, and to a lesser extent even Wraith and Pig can interrupt Sprint Burst easily.
-
The developers wont ever consider a new gamemode because it would "split the playerbase". Right and all long lasting multiplayer franchises have only one gamemode.
That being said, I dont care for this idea. These matches are essentially 30 seconds.

Terrible bait. Try again with a new account🤡

I'm just curious as to why?
He ends 1v1 chase very fast like many of the other S/A tier killers. (ex. spirit, nurse)
Thoughts?
all i can think is dedicated servers screwing him. but he still has the potential to land shots that no one else can take.
In my opinion i think he is at least A tier.
Hes D tier. Inconsistant chases and non existant map pressure.

Thought it was interesting these killers call kill without a Mori, but why does the Entity allow this?
Did these killers find a way to sever their connection to the Entity briefly to achieve this?
Michael has the strongest will of any of the killers. He is the only killer to have been unbroken. He operates with more or less complete autonomy. He doesnt need the Entity to tell him to kill. Hell, even Freddy has to ask permission to kill a survivor via a Mori

lol None of those are second chance perks. Sorry, NONE of those halt the ability for a killer to proceed with his objective.
Unbreakable alone, hook the survivor.
Soul Guard Alone, hook the survivor.
DS is the only one along with maybe BT.
Premonition? WHAT!?
You...you're funny.
DS, BT, and debatably Dead Hard are the only second chance perks

Hey guys its Dabih and I wanted to talk about a subject I wanted to talk about but didn't have the courage to mostly because of what this subject is. And that is Springtrap being in DBD, I know how controversial this is, and how many people hate the idea. But this is something I wanted to get off my shoulders and talk about. So to begin why I think he would be a great addition is because he is a memorable and iconic character in the horror genre, and the Fnaf game is a very memorable, popular, and important pinnacle of the horror franchise. And the fact that the game is painted to some as a kids game is kinda sad to me, the thing is that Fnaf is considered this because of its audience. When it came out it was never intended to be for a younger audience but during the time it was released it was difficult to control what you could watch on Youtube and I think you know the rest of the story. But by then the damage was done and Scott Cawthon couldn't really do anything( meaning: make it more graphic and violent, or swearing/ basically anything to make the game rated M) about it when a great majority of fans of the game were young
I say Fnaf is a pinnacle of horror for its jump scares, all of those who played the original 4 know what I'm talking about there was a level of fear that was within Fnaf that made it very uncomfortable to play, it was just the tone it had. I think it was a smart to create something that we usually would love and make it into something terrifying works greatly and at times you felt utterly helpless also that heightened the fear within the games. The Jumpscares are terrifying for the fact it was right in front in your face made it all the more scary and were unsuspecting. I think the franchise has made its mark in the history of horror.
Now here is a personal level for me why I would love to see Spring trap in the game. When I was growing up in school i would here people talk about a game called Five Nights at Freddys, I was curious and looked it up and to my surprise it was popular seriously back then if you looked up fnaf you would see tons of youtube videos with theories and gameplay, I mean this was the crave back then and still is today(to some degree). A group in my school who were big fans of the franchise had a little get together at times, I was social outcast and me being a fan of the game and actually connecting with people that enjoyed what I enjoyed made me feel accepted. I joined the group and I became happier and more self esteem, we had many great discussions sharing our experiences of the game, they were fun. Overtime I felt better about myself and I didn't consider myself an outcast anymore, in a way FNAF has changed my life for the long run. Even when it became more kid friendly at times I reminded myself this is a game I will stick with for a long long time, because it really was a dark and twisted series. After a while my love for the franchise died slightly, and this when I got into dbd and when I heard someone started a petition to get Springtrap in the game I was down for it immediately. I really want this to be in the game because fnaf was the first ever horror series I actually got into, I mean this was my childhood, this game made me into a huge fan of horror and introduced me to a genre I truly love, and I thank the game for that, it would make me and some other people happy to see the game that cemented my love for horror in general into dbd, and honestly I think if it were ever to come to the game it will show what Fnaf could've been, a darker more gruesome tone than what was given. Thank you that is all I have to say and I know I'm digging my grave but that's okay, I'm willing to admit that I am someone who supports this.
Oh, and just one more thing. FNAf books published by Scholastic. Need I say more?

You literally contradicted yourself.
Tunneling, as soon as being unhooked, the killer tunnel visions YOU and only YOU.
Using an Insta-Heal during a chase while the killer is following you, after being unhooked is still considered tunneling.
Is it not? Haven't you healed for 2 or 3 seconds after being unhooked and then you hear his terror radius making his way to you?
I'm sure we've all been in that situation, and killers like the OP want to take that away? What, you heal for 1 second and DS is deactivated?
What a laugh.
No. No no thats ridiculous. You have to be completely healed for it to deactivate. Healing just for a second should not deactivate the perk at all

So why you're complaining.
And you dont need slug perks in order to slug.
And freddy is boring for me, does that mean it needs a nerf?
If I dont run slug perks, and I leave a person on the ground. I can lose track of them easily. Especially when I leave them to go pressure gens. With Unbreakable, and teammates being right around the corner to heal, Im not really accomplishing much by choosing not to eat a 5 second stun.

Freddy doesnt need a nerf. Freddy needs another rework. Thats what this DS change was. A rework.

@MadLordJack said:
There's no point in even suggesting changes tied to chase mechanics. The Devs have said they have no interest in reworking them and that they want killers rewarded for being in a chase, not being rewarded for not being in a chase. Yes, it's dumb, and it genuinely comes across as either lazy or poorly thought-out. (Their main reason is Bloodlust, and yet chases are designed to be easily broken for a microsecond so that bloodlust gets reset. Go figure.)
However, other than that, the only two criticisms I have are the fact that it's radius-linked (Demogorgon, Hag, Huntress, Billy, Oni, Spirit and Nurse all want to say hello) and that it's still 30 seconds, which is a huge amount of time. Someone could come off a hook and just sit under it and heal, or their teammate could farm them and get away with it. Sure, 2 uses is great, but the deactivation conditions should be super strict. Maybe if it deactivates after 5 seconds of doing an action with a progress bar?
Your last point makes sense to me. I just wanted to punish survivors who put themselves back into the game early.

So? are you going to fix that or that..
And DS doesn't need any changes, why can't you slug?
Yes I can slug. But thats boring, and I dont run slug perks. All my builds focus on gen slowdown. Id rather eat the stun, and proceed with the kill anyways. In that very common scenario, DS does nothing anyways.
-
@Khakuate said:
So if the killer moonwalks for 30s DS is basically usseles (remember old legion moonwalk tech?)
Yeah, no. And I think @BigBrainMegMain already debunked your idea
I thought about making the timer based on killer proximity, but thats totally OP. You can have infinite DS even when the killer isnt tunnelling.
-
@BigBrainMegMain said:
2. This timer will pause when you are in a chase and while you are down. This timer will immediately deactivate if you start repairing a gen, cleanse a totem, are fully healed, enter a locker or unhook another survivor.
Unfair. This negates insta-heals during a chase. Negates Second Wind. Negates Inner Strength when even looping the killer who's tunneling you by entering a locker. It punishes survivors for not fully healing, even with We'll Make It which is a 5 second heal, the killer could already be on his way looking for you.
1. Decisive Strike has two tokens. You lose a token after being rescued from a hook within 32 meters of the killers location, otherwise no tokens are consumed. If a token is consumed, you have 30 seconds of DS being active
Does this mean I lose a token if I'm farmed off the hook and I have to wait for the killer to leave the radius in order to go for the unhook?
Please explain this.
You lose a token when farmed yes. Thats on your teammates. Theres no perk or anything added to compensate for ######### teammates. I wish there was.
Might I add that this new version of DS takes priority over hooks? If you hit the skill check, the killer cannot hook you and is forced to eat the stun.
Honestly I totally forgot Second Wind and Inner Strength even existed but most of the time, it wont be a perk that heals you mid chase except Adrenaline. Also, Inner Strength mid chase? I have genuinely never seen that.

Full disclaimer: I play both sides but I’ve never played Oni, I didn’t buy the DLC so I don’t own him.
Aside from the obvious early game stuff (play safe and don’t get injured to avoid him getting his power, which is kind of unrealistic in random solo lobbies), what do I do against Oni in Blood Fury? It seems like he once he gets his power the first time he just keeps getting it super fast after that, and it doesn't seem like there is much actual counterplay to his power besides hoping that they're bad at aiming. But I'm happy to be wrong and I'd love to get some tips to help me survive if so. Thanks!
Never give him first hit. He starts as a M1 killer whos tall and easy to locate. Once he gets his power, well, long walls, windows and sharp corners help.

So here we can see the clip of a normal run where the survivor is getting chased and she decides to go down and get inside again of the asylum, but for her surprise, the killer hits her from one part you normally shouldn't be able to get, and you can't say this could have been countered by looking where the killer was because it's obvious the part you should be looking is at your back where the killer is suposed to be coming for you so you can try to prevent getting shot, you don't have a 360° cam to look everywhere.
Now you can tell me this is just like a tech or a bad design of hitboxes of the wall, but if this was a survivor doing something similar and the killer wasn't a huntress or deathslinger so you wouldn't catch him, that would be called an exploit.
Depends. Is locker tech an exploit?

I haven't really thought about how it would work, I just think that it would be nice to have such a "scary" killer.
What do you think?
Edit: english is not my main language. Sorry if I mispelled anything
Id rather have a killer that can mimic objects like pallets, lockers and generators.

Everyone here knows legion arguebly falls in the bottom 3 tiers on any list you see, and it's dude to one thing. He lacks lethality, sure he can injure but at the end of the day to kill he's an m1 killer.
• Attacking while in Feral Frenzy will no longer be a basic attack. This means that perks that trigger with a basic attack will no longer trigger under this circumstance.
This was a change he got in 3.4.0, and I'm just wondering, why?
I know a lot of people might argue (hahahaha but now you're getting perk benefits so easy he didnt deserve THIS MUCH POWER!!) The usual calling anything viable OP.
Maybe reverting these changes is what the legion needs right now. Sloppy allows him to slow down the game a bit in his favor, Franklin's disables bully squads, Save the best for the last allows him to actually be lethal and play agressively.
He did not need a nerf but certainly a buff we still long await. And I'm sorry but anyone who says as of now legion needs a nerf or "is in a solid spot" clearly hasn't played him in ranks 1-4, or might have gotten lucky.
I think that if they just fixed the moonwalking exploit and the infinite mend exploit and nerfed Franks mixtape, survivors would have developed counterplay on old Legion. The devs nerfed him to quickly.

Survivors complaining killers use OP addons but bringing insta heal medkits, keys, toolbox w BNP and prove thyself.
Survivors saying killers play cheap (tunnel/camp) when it’s clear they were trying to hide behind a bush to make the save, or even hook bombing.
Killers whining about survivors teabaggjng but then they try to hit survivors on the hook or just stand their and nod watching the last player bleed out instead of hooking them.
Aboit half of my games as solo survivor or killer yesterday even had the survivor team insulting each other in endgame chat.
Insta heals are dead. BNPs are still strong, but its a shadow of its former self.

I don't purposely put Mary's Letter because I'm running OoO.
I'm a Solo player and it makes the experience a lot better. The killer can see me, I can see the killer. I have to rely on Gens to block my Aura, it puts me in tight situations and I have to "git gud" if I want to live.
Overall, it makes me a better player forcing me into situations like that.
That is the most respectable way to use OoO I have ever seen. Bravo

I don't really think it's a secret that killer kinda sucks to play at high ranks. I know that I'm not the first (or last) to complain about solo queue. Slightly long thread read if you care. (Btw this is all my personal experience and all of my friends agree with me).
Yes, survivor is mostly a better experience than killer... again MOSTLY. That being said...I have never wanted to quit dbd more than when I play solo queue. I played 5 solo queue games tonight. Game 1: Sandbagging teammate and not a single one of my teammates did a gen. Only one gen got done and it was me that did it. The sandbagging teammate also dc'd. Game 2: My teammates were all rank 13... I'm rank 3. During a chase 2 of my teammates dc'd. Shortly after... my last teammate dc'd. Game 3: Left to die on first hook with kindred on. Killer wasn't camping. Game 4: We all escaped. It was a close match but we all got out. Game 5: Teammate got downed very early and rage quit. We proceeded to get rekt by the killer which is whatever.
The issue is that people in solo queue are selfish, trolls, they dc, they don't do anything and I'm consistently put with low rank teammates. This wouldn't be an issue if this didn't happen 9/10 times I play solo queue.
The point of this thread is I want to hear your feedback. Can anyone else relate to this? As of right now I quit solo queue. I ask that if you leave feedback that you're respectful. Thx for reading.
Solo survivor is still easier then playing killer. Its a miserable experience. But not as bad as killer

1 make him start with 3 traps at base. Not sure the design decision behind forcing him to walk around with 1 trap at the start.
and 2 make it base for when an injured survivor steps in a trap, to where they get the purple stone add on automatically and if they try to free themselves theyll be put into the dying state. Only injured survivors though, they can be freed and not put into the dying state with the help of a teammate.

Survivors have For the People, Dead Hard, Repressed Alliance, etc. that requires you to press the Active Ability Button to activate said perk. What if Killers had Active Ability Button Perks. I came up with a few concepts of Active Ability Button Perks for Killers.
Lurk:
Press the Active Ability Button to gain the Undetectable Status Effect for 8/10/12 seconds. This has a Cooldown of 90!Seconds.
Flurry:
Press the Active Ability Button to empower your basic attacks gaining 50%/55%/60% missed attack recovery for 1/2/3 seconds. This will have a Cooldown of 90 seconds.
These simple concepts I made will hopefully give you ideas of what could be added.
I think this may interfere with their power. Im probably wrong, but I think that each Active Ability button perk as survivor counts as a power in the code. A killer cannot have two powers, so I assume that this would create a conflict.

@Dsalter said:
i mean both are clearly over-performing if they are in pretty much every build, spine chill especially breaks the ability of stealth of several killers while BBQ allows you to pretty much counter any form of stealthing, especially doubled down with either iron maiden or doctor's powers.
i mean the whole idea of DBD is that its considered a horror game, doesn't having a perk that works from basically just beyond most killers terror radius and know if they are looking at you sort of take the "horror" from the aspect of a horror game? at least premonition has a cooldown.
BBQ not only rewards you for hooking someone with more points but simultaneously rewards you for hooking by letting you find other survivors for a whole 10 seconds just outside of most killers terror radius taking away some of the skill of tracking along with denying other survivors any real stealth, seems kind of cheesy right?
my solution for both of these is:
nerf spine chill to 12/16/20 range for it to activate so you can still get the "oh no im being found" aspect of the perk without completely nullifying a good portion of the killers ability to ambush you and upgrade the speed boost to 8/16/24% so you have that risk reward of finishing what your doing now or legging it before they grab you.
reworking BBQ so that instead of revealing survivors outside the hooks radius it reveals them INSIDE the hooks radius allowing you to know if anyone was following you to attempt to break hooks or borrow time unhook and maybe even while revealed they suffer from the exposed status so that they are punished for trying to follow the killer rather than fearing them which in turn will buy the killer some time knowing that a survivor is not nearby or if they are they get a chance to punish them for trying to unhook so soon.
now your probably wondering why BBQ didn't retain its bonus blood points? i personally think perks that boost your gains outside of matches influence how often something is used to much and with the possible buff to blood gains in future maybe its about time we change those perks to be more functional, speak of...
surprise rework idea for distressing perk for killer and we're gunna live forever!
We're gunna live forever can actually encourage people to play quite destructively, selfish or toxically due to the bonus blood points, so instead of speeding up healing or bonus blood points i suggest that if the survivor unhooking is healthy they are blood bound to the injured survivor, if the healthy survivor takes a hit within 12 seconds that survivor is put into the injured state and the injured other survivor is healed by one health state.
if the unhooked survivor is hit within 10/11/12 seconds of being unhooked the blood bound healthy survivor instead takes the damage and is put into the injured state and the killer is flashlight blinded for 3 seconds.
this rework will discourage tunneling and rewarding sacrifice and protection over the current "i want my blood points" mentality it currently provides.
Distressing now not only increases your terror radius but survivors will breathe 50% louder or 100% louder if they have been inside a locker for 7/6/5 seconds or if you are looking their direction (including inside a locker)
this will make stealthiness harder around distressing without making it impossible and reward a killer with good audio perception similar to how whispers is the spine chill for killers this would be the premonition for killers
Spine Chill is one of the most balanced perks in the game. As is Borrowed Time. No clue why theres a sudden clamoring for nerfs to BT. Sounds like survivor elitists begging for nerfs.

And you felt the need to announce this because...
Did I ask for your opinion? No.

Ha. We will see how long that lasts... The dark side has cookies, you know? :)
When the devs address how terrible the killer experience is, Ill return.

This is one of the many reasons why I never* go and slug for the 4k. Happy to take the gamble too for the first to find the hatch. The fact that it was also their first hook does say a lot more about how your game went than just this outcome. One has to wonder what was going on here. And no, I'm not implying that you were tunnelling, but if they avoided you for that long then something was going wrong for you.
*unless they're right in front of me. I never slug and leave them.
I was able to kill the third survivor and incapaciate the fourth with one gen remaining. I hadnt seen this guy the whole game, and again, assumed that since he was playing super immersed that he wasnt running DS

Oh, no you didn't 4k. The horror, the horror!
I still got merciless, but I care more about my challenge progress. I need kills.

You just left hatch open?
I didnt know where it was, but he did via his SWF team passing by it closed.

You saw an Obsession in your match, right?
He was the last one, so you didn't have to worry about gens.
I'm assuming you were camping as well, which is fine because he was the last one.
Why did you pick him up before closing the hatch?
You should have just followed him for 60 seconds.
As @Kolonite stated, you only have yourself to blame.
I had not been trying to avoid DS the entire match. I certainly didnt slug his teammates for 60 seconds each, and didnt get DSd at all. And there was an active OoO that was killed near the beginning. I assumed there wasnt an active DS because the survivors didnt play like they had DS, and I had not gotten stunned previously.

I understand the hate for the old version, but not really for the new version. I'm a 50/50 player, and I really don't have all that big a problem with it, certainly not as much as DS. I was playing survivor today, and ran it. The killer we were playing got a 2k (They killed the 1st at 1 gen, 2nd when exit gates were powered), after the match they got really mad about me running it, even though I only got to use it once. So is it just them? or do others feel the same?
Im a killer main. Bt is fine. I go for the unhooker anyways.
