So now you're trying to shift the argument. But I will point out I didn't say you had to help them. But by your own admission you are actively hurting them. That's not the same this.
Not actively. I dont go into a match ready to ruin the experience for somebody. I place my survival above everyone elses.
And I wasnt aware that there was an arguement.

And why should I try to help a team that doesnt support me and leaves me to die?

If youre on a gen and I just so happen to run by, how is it my fault that the killer changes targets?
And concerning Franklins, if you arent around, Im taking it. Im not a monster yknow. If you are there to witness me take it, or its close to you on a hook, Ill just bring it to you or leave it on the ground for you to have.

Actively trying to ######### over your teammate is sandbagging. Intentionally stealing their item is pretty scummy too. But you've made it clear you are the worst kind of teammate to have. So I don't see you caring regardless of what anyone says.
And? Like I said. I dont play for a team. I play for me

Major tinfoil hat theory but hear me out. The codenames are not completely random they always have some obscure connection to the IP. Freddy’s codename was “England” which connected to Robert Englund because that who was who played the character. Any idea the name of the original Jason? Ari Lehman. Which just so happens to sound just like Yemen. You heard it here first.
Onis codename was Sweden

Pretty sure intentionally trying to get the killer off you and onto your teammate is sandbagging.
Sandbagging is bodyblocking a survivor so that the killer hits them.

I know a lot of killer mains will disagree, but one thing that's boils my piss about deliverance is that you don't always get to use it, say you were the last person standing, someone on a hook already, as soon as you're hooked it will kill you both without giving you the chance to use it.
No matter the situation, if it has been activated you should get the chance to use it.
Even if it was activated after your first hook, you should still be able to, even if the chance of getting down is halfed or some #########.
I dont think it should synergize with DS at all

I don't play survivor, I just think a Mori add-on should have some kind of tell.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1505065#Comment_1505065
His open hand is based on his movespeed, not whether or not he has the add-on. It's an assumption brought about by the pink tombstone reducing movespeed.
No. Its based on the addon. Its different than EW1. The hand not holding the knife will be open instead of closed
-
@SaltedSnow said:
Imo while the piece is strong, what they really need is a tell that lets survivors know myers is using them. Other than that, the pink is kinda meh, the purple is stronger but at the end of the day if you know Myers had them you'd be able to jump in a locker or something when you saw it.
There is a tell. If Myers has the addon, his hand is open and ready to grab.

So when it comes to hexes I love ones like devour hope, it changes the game in a unique way and gives a whole new layer to the trial that I feel all hexes should have but most lack..and so..I had an idea for my least favorite part of the game, the end game..
Hex no one escapes death: Every time you hook a survivor a dull totem becomes lit and cannot be cleansed, upon the completion of the last gen or the closing of the hatch the end game collapse begins and the glowing totems can now be cleansed
the end game collapse time is reduced by ten seconds for every lit totem and downed survivors whom were previously hooked can be killed by your own hand , cleansing all glowing hexes disables no one escapes death..but whomever cleanses one of the totems becomes exposed until the perk deactivates
A bit of a mouthful I know but this would be way more fair and interesting to our current iteration of noed and makes the end game a real last stand over a glorified stopwatch
Hope you enjoyed
No. NOED is fine. Survivors who complain are simply bad at the game.

If you're getting randomly disconnected so often it's stacking check your files, your rig and submit a ticket. If they commit suicide killer still gets their BBQ stack and hook points.
Even if I get locked out for 15 minutes, an hour, whatever, my life doesn't depend on a game. I'm not gonna come here and cry because I can't play my game for FIFTEEN minutes. If it locks you out for more than that, like I said, complain. It's not normal. What I see is some dude whining over 5 minutes of downtime.
Its also a very critically important bug for the developers to fix. So it was important for him to share it. Not for you to attack him.

I know there are a lot of opinions, but there's one thing I've found more toxic than ever lately. Blackface Leatherface. How is this in the game in 2020? (Well, aside from that 2020 is a dumpster fire).
I fail to see how its racist. Thats what Leatherface does. He wears faces. I see the Claudette Bubba frequently, but thats because Claudette is the most popular survivor.

You really dont get it do you? Those DC bans add up. And its completely unjustified. He did not DC and is still getting punished.

I faced a Deathslinger today and noticed that while he was aiming his gun at me, a stinger effect started playing as a warning.
Honestly it isn't much and I'm not sure what the quirks around it are yet; if it plays only in chase, at a certain range etc.
I'm suprised this wasn't mentioned in the patchnotes, which leads me to suspect Slinger was ALWAYS supposed to have this and it was bugged out until the devs fixed it.
Any thoughts? I don't think it changes much how chases go against him, but its a nice start. If it plays instantly then it helps against Deathslingers who quickscope like me to try to avoid getting Dead Harded.
Oh. I also found out recently that he laughs twice if you get a Sharpshooter hit. He'll laugh at the hit, and laugh again when you reel in a survivor all the way.

Why don't I see more people running some of these perks? Let's talk about them in order, they're so fun.
Tenacity: Allows you to crawl basically at walking speed and recover at the same time. Very fun, and actually works quite well and saves you a lot of time.
Detective's hunch: Shows you totems and chests when you do a gen. The best counter to NOED in the game, and works very well in combination with inner strength.
Stake out: meh, I can hit great skill checks anyway.

Bungie back when they were with halo, you could actually tell they played their own game because they were actually good at it. You would even see them in matchmaking.

I have said that Bond is the best solo queue perk in the past, but using Kindred again after a long time this is hands down the best solo queue perk.
It gives so much information, like which killer it is, if they are camping, if they are putting down traps near the hook, which survivors are going for the rescue and which are working on gens. Even tells you which direction the killer is headed after the hook, gives you an idea if the killer is using BBQ and Chili.
I implore you please run this perk if you solo queue it helps the whole team, and you, immensely.
Kindred should be base. Personally I run Empathy or Bond depending on my build.

So I loved playing Freddy way back when he first came out. The challenge of learning him and his add-ons, his power, and honestly learning just how to play the game more fun. I got 3-4k's most games, and I still do usually. The problem I have with Freddy is now it's like anyone can just pick him and within 30 minutes ur decent enough to get 4k's. A killer should take time to learn. You should have to struggle a little bit at first with it and slowly get the hang of it. Then, if u really dedicate enough time to them, become a pro with them. Don't get me wrong, the fact I can use the teleportation to fake out survivors and that I can just hit them is nice, but there is something rewarding about taking the time to put the survivors to sleep and timing it just right so when they knock out, you land a hit. I just don't feel the same reward for hitting survivors and downing them as I once did since it's basically like he's an m1 killer. Again, new Freddy is fine. He's easy to play and easy to pick up, but I just miss old school lullaby Fred.
You think you do. You dont. New Freddy is top tier. Old Freddy was the only killer in F tier.

Old Feral Frenzy:
-5.28 m/s movement speed
-6 second duration
-Vaults pallets without breaking them
-3 second fatigue no matter what
-15 second cooldown
-Takes 4 hits to down
-Legion was 110
New Bubba:
-5.29 m/s max movement speed
-2 second dash per charge, 6 seconds total
-Instantly shreds dropped pallets on contact
-Only incurs a lengthy fatigue if you bump into something
-4 second cooldown per charge, 12 seconds total
-Always instadowns
-Bubba is 115
With the exception of actually having to rev it, Bubba's new saw is literally just an all-around better version of old Feral Frenzy. You know, the thing that broke the game so hard that they had to gut the Killer as damage control?
And before anyone tries to tell me, "But Bubba can't fast vault windows so he's balanced!" There's this crazy little thing called Bamboozle that prevents the Survivors from using the window entirely. I suggest you try it.
Seriously, when at a loop against a Bubba with Bamboozle, you have two options: Go down, or let him chainsaw the pallet and then go down. It's absolutely insane. He is old Legion on steroids and I don't understand how people don't realize this.
Still weak to the same structures as Old Bubba.
Old Legion wasnt even gamebreaking. All they needed was to change Deep Wounds into its current state, nerf Franks Mixtape, and Old Legion would be fine in the game.

How many times did you encounter a game changing bug.
Be intellectually honest, how many times you actually found a completely game changing bug? not a sfx bug, not an animation bug, not a sound que bug ( important but in dbd not so much most times) ?
RARELY. VERY VERY VERY RARELY.
I've played dbd since jenuary 2017, and watched the game since 2016, where I was literally dying because I didn't have a pc to play dbd, and only because of this game I bought a 1000€ pc ( 250+€ for the monitor, keyboard and mouse and all the other stuff) . I remember when you would get stucked into a hook ,and never be able to get out of it. I passed all the era of lag switchers, where it was not fun at all, and after almost 5 years since 2016 and all my experience in dbd, including 6000/7000+ hours in game and twitch / youtube videos watched, the massive game changing era of bugs is finished people, and it finished in middle 2017, after the Bill release and the game engine update the game had.
Dbd still has bugs, sometimes, even GAME CHANGING, that's unalienable, but rarely, really. So the major dbd problem right now is not bugs of course, bug game's health, game's BALANCEMENT ( word that hurts a lot of people ( especially since dbd is not a competitive game ( for now, who knows in the future, I hope so)) because they do not understand that if a game is not almost balanced for both sides of a game there isn't any reason to play a certain game ) , and game's quality of life.
Nurse would like a word with you.

Incorrect. It doesn't specify that camping refers to killer only. Camping is camping.
Holding game hostage means that game can't end without a DC, for example if you body blocked last survivor. Camping game can end by one of the sides completing the objective.
Incorrect. What is described IS taking the game hostage.

Hey everyone! Soon-to-be Oni main here.
As a former League player, I have quite a bit of knowledge regarding cosmetics, e.g. skins for characters. League of Legends has been putting out $15 and $20 skins for years now, and some of those $15 skins don't even change the character's effects or animations. With the exception of a few $15 skins, you have to spend a minimum of ~$23 on the "Ultimate" skins to have new voice and animations for your character.
Now, onto quality. League of Legends skins are made to be seen miles above the battlefield, and as a result are not very detailed whatsoever. Compared to Dead by Daylight skins, based on the model alone, the $15 price tag for League skins is astronomical. Here is a comparison between the new Minotaur Oni skin (left) and a $15 skin from League of Legends, "Infernal Nasus" (right).
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/OA8WIOM6V29D/good-skin-vs-bad.png
Compared to the Minotaur Oni skin, the Infernal Nasus skin looks like a cartoon. There is little variety between the textures on the skin, and it just looks blocky. You cannot say that there was nearly as much time and effort put into the Nasus skin than the Minotaur Oni skin, yet they are the same price. (Infernal Nasus DOES have firey effects, but they are still low quality)
To model a skin in a game such as Dead by Daylight takes far more effort and precision than a League of Legends skin. However, people buy up League of Legends skins day in and day out, with no complaint... meanwhile, Minotaur Oni is getting lambasted on these forums. Dead by Daylight's skins are far more detailed and made with more love and care (with the exception of Kate's pigtails, haha) than any skins on any other game that I've seen. Minotaur Oni is a prime example of the immense talent of the skin designers, and even though I was expecting something great when I heard about Minotaur Oni weeks ago, I was still surprised to see such attention to detail. It looks so similar to the Minotaur from a childhood game of mine, Heroes of Might and Magic III... and I was quite thrilled!:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/K6P3QG01P52Y/minotaur-hmm3.jpg
In the end, I just wish people would understand the resources that go into modeling and designing new, original skins, as well as coming up with the ideas for them. Spending $15 on a cosmetic in ANY game is a good bit, but, in my opinion, it is quite understandable for the new Minotaur Oni, especially considering the time, effort and thought that went into making the skin. There are a lot of people who are going to enjoy the skin (including myself AND my brother!), and I'm glad that it's in the game!
I hope this helps everyone have some more appreciation for the skin as many others do!
I dislike this skin because it doesnt change any animations.

Listen, the PTB version was bad, I agree. But now I can strongly say that the Overheat mechanic is not punishing enough...
I saw many people playing the new Billy, and even if they were not that good, or if the survivor dodged the chainsaw a few times...it still didn't overheat. Don't get me wrong, but isn't that the point of Overheating? If you can't use your chainsaw right you will get punished. The Overheat mechanic now is so not punishing that the add-ons that reduce the heat gained/increase the rate of cooling are extremly bad...'cuz you'll probably not Overheat. not. even. once.
If you implement the Overheat mechanic, at least make it have an impact on the game when it's needed.
It ended chainsaw facecamping, overuse of the chainsaw during a chase. Overall, it was a nerf, but just to bad Hillbilly players.

Lightborn did its job before. If you didn't suspect a flashlight user sniffing your glistening neck hair it would screw their timing and you could still hook the survivor. Then you would learn your lesson.
Now everything I can do with this item is over. Blind? Nope. Hide after an attempt? Nope. At least NOED, old ruin, and STBFL have (or had) counters.
But I'm just a survivor main. What do I know?
Old Lightborn for all intents and purposes made you immune to flashlights already.

@mostlyghostly said:
I'm not going to tell you that the billy nerf, bubba buff, and perk changes were awful. BUT, I do think this shows that BHVR only work on what they want to and not what needs to be changed. I'll split this up into sections..
Section 1: The Billy Nerf
After having played the new Billy a few times, I can safely say that the overheat mechanic is not really that big of a nerf. It never really affects you unless you miss like 8 saws or something. In fact, you can still easily 4 man slug with IF without overheating. This shows that the overheat feature was completely unnecessary as it does basically nothing anyway, and it seems like a huge waste of time. I'm not even gonna go into the add-ons here.
Section 2: The Bubba Buff
I think the buff to Bubba was actually OK, so not as much to say here. However, the main problem they said they wanted to fix was the opportunity for Bubba to facecamp. Again, after playing Bubba I can say that it is still very much possible to facecamp with him as you can rev your chainsaw in time to kill the unhooked an unhooker.
Section 3: The Perk Changes
I think the changes to these perks were all OK, aside from knock-out which i think actually got nerfed. The real problem I have here is that all these perks they buffed, aside from tinkerer, didn't really need a buff. Lightborn, for instance, basically got nothing as the perks core function remains the same and the aura reading thing is useless. Franklins was a perk which I didn't think was a high priority for a buff but it's alright, I guess.
Final statement:
I think BHVR really needs to look at things that actually need buffs/nerfs instead of developing an overheat mechanic which does basically nothing in most situations and buffing/nerfing perks which didn't really need it. There are so many perks that could easily have their numbers tweaked which would become more viable, but for some reason BHVR never does it. I don't know why it takes them so long to change things which could easily be changed with practiacally no effort.
BHVR doesnt like to balance what needs balancing. They do like messing with things that were perfectly fine in the first place tho.
