There are four times more survivors than killers meaning there are four times more offerings for survivors to play

Also most maps are either neutral or survivor sided. There are very few truly killer sided maps.

More offerings for survivors don't do anything other than add bloodpoints or lessen a chance to go to the map you selected for an offering is someone else put on a different one than you. There are an even number of unfavorable maps on both sides and just a few "balanced" maps that could go either way depending on tile rng

  • But it's okay for killers to put map offerings on to make their build even stronger. Map offerings should be taken out altogether imo and maps need to be reworked for more balance

  • @EntitySpawn said:

Play nemesis and you'll see they're awful more than helpful.

90% of my games they just get stuck... for zero reason they will walk to a random spot and get stuck and never move again.

It's the fact it's so RNG based, and I have bad luck with RNG so I naturally hate it. I think of the zombies as decorations nothing more

Not in my experience. I get knocked so often running around a corner and there happens to be a zombie right around it or they block paths and pallets and gens. It's really frustrating. Then you waste a pallet to kill them and they spawn back

i think its just bad rng with this map, i never had that amount of chained pallets in a game before i mean i still got a 4k but holy hell i came out of that game so stressed i insta alt f4

So you want to nerf pallets even though you still got the 4K at the end....that's the most entitled thing I've read recently. You want the get 4ks faster is what you're saying instead of having to work for it...please tell me you understand how ridiculous that sounds...

  • Yeah I had this one match where I had a really good 5 gen chase by a Wesker, ran him around really good and felt great about my decision making! Was about to get out and then wouldn't you know it...my game crashes 😱 I lost all my progress and a ban time! The best part is this happened 4 times in a row! Hahaha so much fun! :) Oh and between that and so much lag the lag had lag I'm truly enjoying every moment of my time playing other games while my ban timer slowly depletes 👍🥂

i've had no issue collecting my stuff, and depositing it, you may have a bad game or two, but it's nothing worth changing, you get a killer that tunnels, and they'll tunnel no matter what

Well a majority of everyone else is complaining about it so you are alone in this bud. The point is that killers tunnel and it makes it unfun normally so why would they plan an event with mechanics that promote that playstyle.

  • @Pumpkinbros said:

tunneling happens regardless, don't try to bring tunneling into this, but the stealing thing like-

every single event that has a mechanic like this, has caused people to steal, that's sorta the point, more will spawn, you'll be fine

genuinely don't know what you expect bhvr to do about that lol

Horrible take. A very killer sided event as it's their job to down you and any decent killer will down you multiple times. So they only option is collect a few doing the gen, rush to a rift to deposit and then go back and so on. Stealing shouldn't be a thing.

  • @TheArbiter said:

He's balanced imo, certain maps with no low walls absolutely destroy him, not to mention he is a 110% killer with a lullaby.

He has no lullaby. His terror radius is super hard to hear as well.

  • @HeehoRacketeer said:

"Get unlimited blades thrown at you" But they're not unlimited, there is a set number: 44. Then he has to reload.

"Unlimited blades for a long duration and no movement speed penalty" Main Event lasts for 10 seconds and his movement speed is the same as his initial throwing speed: 3.86 m/s

And the ricochet knives is an addon, a purple addon and one of the better ones. That's not something basekit.

    (begin edit section)

Somethings I forgot: When he was first introduced he had 60 total knives and it took 8 knives for a single state, some time after a midchapter: his total was reduced to 44 and the knives required reduced to 6. We should also remember that upon dealing a health state of damage with the knives: survivors get the speed boost too. So losing several health states back to back is on you or the map.

    (end edit section)

So with all of this: do you still the same opinion?

The speed boost does nothing while you're still getting pelted with knives. He only needs 12 hits out of 44 knives to down and you think that's balanced? Then he gets a 10 second infinite knife ultimate after a few successful hits increasing the amount he gets in one go.

Didn't know ricochet was an addon since everyone I play against has them on.

    Same opinion.

  • I literally get pulled from around corners when he has no line of sight. It's reaching through walls so it needs a slight narrowing but not much

  • @SuzuKR said:

Wow, this is uh, certainly a take.

First of all, even without Lethal Pursuer, good game sense and knowledge will get a chase going very quickly. Go towards the opposite corner and that’s usually where someone will be, while checking side to side to not miss anyone on the periphery.

Second of all, unless they are using other aura reading sources (which means no slowdown or other stuff in that slot), this is literally a once-per-match effect.

Third of all, you can run Distortion. After its buff, you can block almost every personal aura read for the entire game unless it’s a stealth killer. Or use Object of Obsession and see them too while you’re at it. Why do you think you should be exempt from having to use perks when the killer gives up a perk slot for their benefit? That is entitlement.

"Unless" nothing every killer I run into is using one or more auroa reading perks. Like I said above I don't want to HAVE to run distortion every game. It's boring and makes for 0 fun builds. When you are forced to run a perk to counter killers thats how you know they are too strong. I shouldn't be forced to run something to survive.

  • @Crowman said:

The killer knowing where survivors are at the start of the trial is hardly a bad thing. Survivor spawns can be figured out based on game knowledge so even if the perk didn't exist, you would likely just as often have a killer head right towards you anyways.

You going down in 20 seconds of being found is a skill issue.

An as aside, one of my main survivor builds runs distortion and I rarely end up face Lethal Pursuer as it is.

Never had a problem until leathal pursuer came out. That's how I know it's because of it. Game sense and seeing through walls are two different things. I can play against game sense by being stealthy. Having a wall hack and instantly being on someones exact location is totally different.

  • @AcelynnBen said:

if he was as broken as u make him sound, he would be played more, with being said i've all ever seen him 5 times SINCE RELEASE

and when playing him, it just gets boring seeing the same animation of a locked locker for the whole game and im not even sure why BHVR made it so he prioritizes locked lockers over open ones, its really dumb

I swear every other game I play against him. It's mostly him and Wesker for me 😫

  • @TheArbiter said:

He's fine, it takes about 2 seconds to lock a locker and only locking one locker in a set blocks every subsequent locker, so just lock one a time, when that lock is broken, lock the other ones next to it. In regards to his anti-loop fake running into the husk, 90% of the dredges I face always fall for teleporting back. Can't even teleport to lockers next to a hooked person, so very balanced imo. His nightfall could be a little brighter however

I did not know about the locker pairs thing thank you!

I may sound ignorant here, but shouldn't you use lucky break to lose the killer and not loop with them?

Depends on your play style. If you are good at looping then you loop. If you need to get away then it helps you get away if the killer can't track by sound or line of sight. That's why it doesn't have iron will effect it would be way too strong

  • @kingcarl2012 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/346440/lucky-break-fix-idea

It should automatically charge to 50% when you get hooked. Sometimes you dont get a chance to heal other players.

We already have Off The record for that though. If you don't get a chance to heal than that's just bad luck. I think it would be good for balance. Maybe one token at most after being unhooked?

basically if u get found first u get chased a bit then u get hit and u vanish. killer loses 2-3 gens chases other survivors cant ever find you ur team ded u escape alone or 2 survivors. its already good for first chase if anything this perk needs a nerf IMO

Clearly you don't know what perk I'm talking about. Educate yourself before posting on something when you don't understand how it works.

This comment about sums it up.

You're not here for an objective discussion about what happened, you're here for a sympathetic ear in an echo chamber.

The majority consensus about this vid is you weren't far enough over and I gotta say that looks to be the case, this one isn't on the game.

Remember most errors boil down to human error.

Majority consensus doesn't automatically mean you are right.

  • @Carth said:

move all the way to the other side, your character model did not clear the pallet at all and you paused to try to get a stun. What you are asking for is akin to old pallet vaccum, where being x% through the pallet just yoinks you to the other side.

But me being pallet vacuumed back to the other side by killer makes sense. Okay.

  • @pseudechis said:

I don't know if you were fully on the other side of that pallet.

That looked pretty legit from the video.

I don't need to be fully on the other side. I was closer to the far side than the killer side and even turned in that direction. I get vacuum sucked all the way back to killer side which shows you how close to the other side I actually was.

  • @TheWheelOfCheese said:

You were just on the back side of the pallet, then you for some reason turned around and walked back to the front side before throwing it.

    So, don't do that.

I literally hit drop from where I was and it sucked me back to the other side.

  • Empathy for Survivor is amazing for tracking killer and making sure your team isn't hiding hurt doing nothing. Let's you know who to save and ignore since they aren't being a team player

Because he usually regularly knows where everyone is, you’ve just gotta keep moving against a Doc without necessarily running everywhere.

Unsure if Doc is preoccupied? Then...

    • Fail a skill check? Get moving.
    • See an illusionary doctor? Get moving.
    • Screamed? Get moving.

Drop pallets early, and never keep looping an area with vaults. Just keep moving.

Its Not about how to outplay him its the fact that my game seizes up everytime I play against him. Too much is going on and the lag sets in hard.

  • Until they fix Moris and Doctor I'm out. Doctor gives me and my game a seizure each time I play him and Moris/Keys are a poor game mechanics that make it not worth playing with how many I run into.

    Lmao

If killers didnt try to tunnel one person out of the game within the first 2 minutes then DS wouldnt be needed.

I RARELY come across killers that play like that and I play a LOT. To balance a game based on a small amount of players that do something isn't the move chief. I'm not saying DS should be gone just needs to be changed up so it's not so hardcore on killers. Any decent team of survivors running DS can waste a lot of killers time especially using locker techs.

Your need to insult everyone is laughable. I would recommend that you are open to the advice that people are trying to give you. Each game is different and the need to adapt is important. Best of luck to you.

Just making observations. If the shoe fits 🤷 I take advice when the advice is worth taking. Such as trying to change the key bindings again. But I've been around the game long enough to know what does and doesn't work. Sitting directly under pallet forces the survivor to one side when pallet is dropped, preventing them from being healed up. Best of luck to you as well

That rank means nothing to me rank 1 survivor and killer even after all the breaks I took.

Just means you either A - have no life or B - are just that good. You decide. I know I'm pretty decent. Not god level but I'm good.

  • I play both sides equally a lot. As survivor I refuse to use DS because it's such a bs perk. To me it's the same as NOED. "Well I lost but I think I deserve to win anyways". If DS wasn't a thing Noed wouldn't be needed.

  • I've never once got into a match and said "oh no it's deathslinger". It's always oh thank God it's deathslinger. 😂

  • @bm33 said:

If you go into settings you can change the buttons so action and interaction are different buttons. That will stop you from healing when you mean to drop a pallet or vice versa.

I know I've tried different combos and haven't liked the way they felt. I don't have problems 90% of the time it's just those occasions when someone's right under pallet.

  • @Tactless_Ninja said:

You can have 5000 hours on the game and still be playing it wrong 🤷 don't need advice but I appreciate the effort. I play both sides equally ass well btw since early 2018.

    @MadLordJack said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1483430#Comment_1483430

No, the smart move really is to sit at one side or the other. If the killer pick you up, their giant hitbox will still be caught and your team will still get the save. Otherwise, they can heal to in relative safety, since if the killer comes along from the other side of the pallet you get the stun and finish healing. You cannot do that if you are in the middle of the pallet, both because the survivor healing you has a much harder time and will often get hit whilst trying to drop the pallet, and because you will often get shoved to the killers side of the pallet for a free pickup. So, if a teammate is looping the killer, make sure you're lying at the side they will be when they drop it, so they can finish your recovery whilst the killer is kicking the pallet instead of throwing you into the killer.

    Finally someone who understands

Its an exploit that popped up again. I don't know the specifics, but people have even made software in the past to achieve the effect. It wasn't as common for a while, but apparently people found another way recently.

Its not something thats supposed to be possible, and directly involves cheating to do it. The biggest problem with exploits like that, unfortunately, is they tend to get overlooked because of everyone assuming that things are working as intended.

But how often does that happen? I mean honestly because I've been on since 2018 and this is the first I've heard about it. It can't be frequent enough the implement a survivor select freeze

  • @Ryuhi said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1483425#Comment_1483425

The issue is with survivors being able to change their builds in reaction to the exploit. One person uses it and sees its a doctor, they mention it in lobby chat, then suddenly all 4 are running calm spirit. They mention its Plague and everyone puts their medkits away for toolboxes and flashlights.

The way killers were countering this recently was by having a different killer up until about 20 seconds or so left, then switching at the last moment. You'd be amazed the builds people "just so happened" to be caught using...

How do you see the killer before you queue into the game? I'm confused is this something new or?

  • Would love to stop getting hit by hatches the size of school buses that's for sure

  • @Peanits said:

They're doing nothing wrong by sitting under the pallet. That's a smart move. That means that if the killer picks them up, they're for sure going to be within stunning distance. Sitting on one side of it means the the killer can pick them up and be safely far enough away from it.

Ideally you shouldn't be leading the killer on a chase around that pallet, and you definitely shouldn't use it at that point unless you're saving them. The only exception being if they're already fully recovered, then it makes sense for them to crawl to one side so you can drop it and pick them up while the killer breaks it.

Do you even play your own game? Sitting directly under the pallet is the worst place to be for everyone on your team. Any good player and good streamer says the same thing. It makes for mistakes such as the healing survivor pulling down the pallet instead of healing and drawing the killer back. I meant to say that if another survivor draws the killer away you need to move to one side of the pallet so you can be healed up. Of the killer comes back you are still close enough to the pallet for a pallet save and it makes sure the healer doesn't accident drop the pallet trying to get you up.

That wouldn't be a bad idea to buff solo queue. The devs would also need to heavily buff killers though.

Killers dont really need buffs, survivors just need more to do. Gens go way too fast. One 40 second chase and there goes 2 gens

  • Chat is what makes swf so strong. Why would they enable that even further? You'd see so many ######### posts on here about it trust me.

  • @Sluzzy said:

I continue to be done with this ridiculous killer until something is done. Every match against this killer is an all out war bloodbath because there is zero counterplay against a killer with 5 ridiculous chances with hitboxes that are unavoidable. Every other killer requires skill and precision to hit the target but not this one. Forget the fact I have highest quality fiber Internet on the eastern seaboard and everyone has low ping, that doesn't matter because I've already outplayed her, rounded the corner, but still fall on my face because the hatchet is 10 meters away.

There is also no reason she can carry 5 hatchets with deathslinger only having one chance, Nurse has only 2 blinks (max), Billy will now have an overheating chainsaw.

I know why everyone plays Huntress because she is broken as hell, zero counterplay, and is basically a free win unless you are versing a top 4 man SWF genrushing.

Fix the hitboxes, reduce the number of hatchets, make her lullaby directional like sound is supposed to be. Until this killer is looked at, I am done with her.

Her hatches are a little broken rn true but it's not THAT bad. She's easy to loop since she's slow and if you can look behind you while you run her hatches are usually easy to dodge unless they are really good. The hatchets definitely need some love but they used to be horrible on the opposite side. They would go right through the survivor and not register.
