Fun fact it does counter sadakos "lullaby"
Sadako cannot stealth if you have this enabled.
BHVR really has to fix that.

shes pretty cringe and the first chapter I will not buy

Well I can assure you I’m not trolling. Skull merchant is the most fun killer to play since pinhead for me
Not everyone is going to like every killer and that’s fine. I absolutely despise hag but I wouldn’t remove her just because I hate her
And yes the perks suck but is that a surprise? About 80% of new perks suck because the top 5 perks are just so much better
Please elaborate why. They only thing they have going for them is their tracker which is pretty cool. Outside of that they're a snoozefest.
-
@Phasmamain said:
You know some people like knight and merchant right? Fair enough you you don’t but to say there’s been no content is just stupid
Not every killer has to be a wesker or blight clone
Not every killer has to have no chase power or map mobility. BHVR keeps releasing killers that incentivize the worst aspects of the game such as tunneling and camping a 3 gen.
I am genuinely convinced that people say they like Skull Merchant are trolling. There's a reason the matchmaking incentive is still 100% killer despite a new chapter dropping...
Oh and also all of the perks they've released besides 2 are complete garbage. They also completely gutted several other perks along with the patch.

I mean he played Demo of all things, one of the worst killer in the game, so of course he lost very badly.
Demo is so weak, I really hate that killer so much, so boring, so weak. Of course even OTZ will lose with demo playing nicely
Demo was a solid B+ before the dead hard change.

not reportable. makes the time go by faster

I will clarify here, we've not said what we will look into fully, just given a hint at ONE thing...please do not make this a "this is getting nerfed so this should as well" discussion, when you do not yet have all the information. Yes we are currently looking at Eruption, pretty sure our Design Team is looking at other perks also.
Why not confirm that DH is getting looked into? Seems like an easy way to prevent stoking flames in Killer V survivor forums to announce both sides are getting what they want...

How is limited timed cosmetics greed? Its just good business. Basicly saying ok we are done with this wave that is now out lets start on new cosmetics. Now yeah i get that having the old cosmetics always around won't take much but when does that stop. 3 years down the line when Feng has 500+ cosmetic sets with all avaliable at the same time? its overwhelming especially to new players who are coming into the game.
BHVR won't turn around on the limited cosmetics because its good to rotate things in the shop to entice spending. this doesnt make the company greedy it makes the company smart as they arn't creating this game out of the goodness of their heart they are doing it to make money and this is a great incentive to get a boost to income. The more income they get the better licence deals they can strike and the more money they can put back into the game.
It is no different to "limited time deals" that are only avaliable for a set period of time and once its gone its gone.
I wonder how many people who complain about these limited cosmetics actually want to pay out for the cosmetics in the first place. or if your just hoping they get very cheap or are just waiting for them to go to irry shards meaning free?
If your not willing to pay for a cosmetic thats fine but at the end of the day its a cosmetic. doesnt matter if you own it or not and it doesnt matter if the cosmetics are avaliable for 1 week or 1 year. There is NO Fear of Missing Out because everyone has the oportunity to buy the cosmetic during that set period. If your unable to then that isnt at fault of behaviour because they are not limiting who can buy the items just saying that they are only on the store for a set period of time. and even if you do miss out you can just get them next year.
GOOD BUSINESS AND GREED ARE THE SAME THING JESUS CHRIST
CORPORATIONS ARE NOT ON YOUR SIDE
THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU
CARE ABOUT YOURSELF. YOU ARE A CONSUMER, YOU SHOULD WANT YOUR CONSUMPTION TO BE CHEAPER NOT MORE EXPENSIVE. YOU ARE SHOOTING YOURSELF IN THE FOOT ALONG WITH EVERYONE ELSE.

@thrawn3054 said:
Who cares? No seriously why does anyone care? So many people act like they are being robbed by limited time cosmetics. If fomo is actually effecting anybody they need to grow up already.
If it didn't work they wouldn't be doing it.
-
not that surprising tbh
the game is literally pay 2 win
-
Im somewhat optimistic since this year has been pretty good for DBD but the Knight launch was ######### awful because BHVR cannot make a slightly complicated killer and dead hard is still the best survivor perk in the game. The devs said they didnt like that it was used as a third health state and then literally ######### made it a third health state. Its now in every game I play again
-
@HellDescent said:
No, you're not getting them back. They don't refund things like that
but why???
has BHVR even made a statement about this?
-
Fast vaults should also be removed and so should slow vaults Windows should only exist for me to hyuck hatchets through
-
Okay I can confirm they are GONE GONE too. They don't just go back to your inventory. Why the hell would anyone think this was a good idea? Im hoping it's just a bug and not BHVR being malicious.
-
Yeah they seem broke rn.

@SailedSavage said:
But it's okay for killers to put map offerings on to make their build even stronger. Map offerings should be taken out altogether imo and maps need to be reworked for more balance
There are four times more survivors than killers meaning there are four times more offerings for survivors to play
Also most maps are either neutral or survivor sided. There are very few truly killer sided maps.
-
The real question is do we get our offerings back?
-
why would the game be dying now? Its in the best state its been in years since 6.1.0. This is also the most hype chapter ever besides maybe Nemesis but that was is close proximity to RE3s release.
-
game has honestly felt pretty decent for both sides the last few days. Maybe the fact that you have 3k posts is ruining the game :\

Do you hear yourself? Sounds very situational to me
Literally every survivor on Reddit and the forums have been complaining about camping since the mid chapter update.
None of that even matters since it doesn't change the fact that the game is p2w when it comes to perks. Everyone things Reassurance is good, I really don't care what you have to say about it since this thread isn't arguing about how good Reassurance is.
-

I mean, if you really want the perk without paying, just be patient, it's not that hard, jeez
So who will win more in the year before these perks start showing up on the shrine? The person who paid for it LITERALLY has an advantage.
-
@TotemSeeker91 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3131204#Comment_3131204
You have to be pretty dang close to the survivor who's hooked, like if the killer doesn't realize something is up and you're hiding near by...idk how you're getting away with it
End game scenarios or basement scenarios. 99 your sprint burst before you run in and the killer can't even catch you without abandoning the camp.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/341040/deadbydaylight-is-now-inarguably-pay-to-win
I mean yeah, you said it, just wait for shrine of secrets, it's really not that hard
So you admit the game is pay to win for about a year til the perks show up in the shrine? A year of dbd is 4 chapters.
Also, out of 100 weeks how many do you expect the perk Reassurance to show up. Maybe 2? You have to be online and near your computer to even reap the benefit of the shrine.

That would be fine if this was not a free to play game just trying to make money somehow. Oh, wait a minute...
Yeah not only is the game pay to play, its (slightly) pay to win, it also has a Battle Pass, and COSMETICS OUT THE ASS!! On top of new chapters every 3 months the game is being milked 1000 different ways yet half the Gamers on here are presenting their nipples getting ready for more.

Opening an argument is not the way to go. You only want to find issue within the game, I only observed this detail and exposed it.
That being said, I will land off of this thread. Great day sir!

I swear to god whatever devs add to the game, even by mistake the community... always finds an issue. I'd laugh just to see how not a single dev even though of this "camping issue" before people started to speak about it.
So much creative restrictions like you see here, is not anywhere else. "pay to win" surely;
This is outrageous, honestly.
Its funny because all of those words you just typed have literally zero substance. That isn't an argument, its just scoffing.
-
@Candyxo said:
People are actually going to run that perk? Does nothing if a killer doesn't camp, seems like a wasted perk slot for a "they might camp"
For solo queue it will be a blessing. You also have to consider how useful it will be in endgame alone. If I am a killer I ALWAYS camp in endgame because its the best way to snowball at that point.

@Izo_Quartz said:
i'm genuinly confused as to why this is only now coming to people's attention. DBD has been clearly pay2win the second they added their very first paid dlc chapter. Even if what they're doing is wrong under this context, it's a little too late to complain about pay2win after all this time has passed...
Ive seen threads saying it's p2w plenty of times over the years but the devs always say it's not because of the shrine. But with reassurance dropping and it being THE answer to camping it's just super exemplified that the game is indeed p2w.

Players - Why don't BHVR release meta shakeup strong perks?
Also Players - This game is pay to win.
I'm glad I don't work for a game company.
Play more puzzle games sandman. You will see that those two statements are not contradictory.

@[Deleted User] said:
How can DbD be pay to win if both of the most strongest killers in the game are money free?
Nurse - for free
Blight - can be purchased with shards (playtime required)
You are not required to use any perks on them to win games, as long as you are good enough.
Survivor side - just skins, you can survive without a single perk.
Explain me so I understand, how is Dead by Daylight pay to win?
Use your brain Seth. Do you think I really mean you can pay money to instantly win? No. You pay to have an advantage. Paying $15 for the Wesker DLC at launch will give you a direct advantage against campers that someone who does not spend the $15 will not have for at least a year.

Ok so using reassurance as the example how am i winning games now if its not in the game yet, doesn't that effectively mean its not pay to win.
Pay2Win does not mean pay to literally win. It means pay to have an advantage. Please don't bother arguing semantics, its boring as hell and not relevant to the conversation at all.

Technically hasnt it always been pay to win, I mean up until the last patch, DS was the defacto meta perk and it is locked behind a paywall.
Yes its always been p2w. I've seen BHVR employees (I think it was Mandy specifically) say the game is not P2W because of the Shrine and Iri Shards but with Reassurance that is not true. We will not likely see that park in the Shrine for an entire year... if not more.

@H2H while thats true there is the entire survivor side of the game where perks are all that matter.
People with Reassurance are going to win more against campers than those without. People who paid will win more than those that didn't. Pay2Win!
-
i almost always go for 2 hooks and let the survivors escape and survivors are STILL dcing (and I play demogorgon of all killers, literally one of the most fun to face).
inb4 my perks are too op: I use STBFL, Coup De Grace, Jolt, and Infectious Fright or Agitation + Mad Grit almost every game.

I think it's still really good and we will be seeing a lot of use in a month or so when the streamers have enough time to show the sheep how to press e at a window.
I had a ton of great success with it yesterday, it's definitely not gutted.

holy ######### all of those are amazing, bhvr should just do all of them!

yeah its been on survivor the entire day but my survivor queue times are 5+ mins long

The devs will probably make a statement on it soon, maybe it'll just be tweaked when the update is live. That's a very BHVR thing to do.
-
I do think the thread being active is good because that means it's bumped to the top more often which puts some pressure on the devs to actually respond.
I really don't know why they don't just respond though... it definitely isn't painting a good picture.

They are also online rn in a different thread. They probably can't comment right now since it seems the math isn't on their side. I wish BHVR would at least acknowledge this, I was really hoping their year 6 promise meant something.

It is the 4th of July weekend. I'm amazed at how much math can be done on a thread only for people to forget that the devs don't live in a BHVR sized bubble.
And he still doesn't owe this thread a response after that.

They don't need to respond.
If you cannot do basic math, they cannot help you.
If you think the spreadsheet is flawed do the math yourself. You said its "basic" so it shouldn't take too long, no?

To anyone wondering why they devs haven't responded to the new spreadsheet... It's the weekend. Keep in mind I doubt they respond when the week begins but they def ain't responding today.

99'ing gates is something that has come up often, and regressing those gates was something that was tested internally and decided against.
EGC is not there to help either side - it's to prevent situations where the games could last forever by being taken over in a hostage situation, old hatch standoffs etc. That's why the ability is there for the killer to open the gate, so if you're having a hard time and just want that match to be over, you have that option.
99'ing the gates is a tactic that has risks attached to it (especially in solo queue), as if someone is injured and being chased and then they run to the gate, they still have the animation of having to work on the switch, and they're also out of position to get through the gates.
Prior to EGC survivors could just open the gates and do whatever, now they can't so there's more pressure on them when the gates are open - that's purely for the hostage situations. As a killer you can force these survivors out, you can choose to break pallets on the map, you can wait out the timer (same as a survivor has to wait out the timer being slugged at the end of the match).
Why was it decided against? You always say stuff was decided against but never explain why. I am sure they had the same internal testers that thought releasing blight with his eyeballs on his knees was a good idea too, or the same testers that shipped the original decisive strike, or even better the original circle of healing!
