Some people are afraid of being in a house. It's called Oikophobia.
Some people are afraid of chickens. It's called Alektorophobia.
Some people are afraid of THE COLOR YELLOW!!! It's called Xanthophobia.
Coulrophobia, someone I personally have, is just as illogical as these fears, and yet, they still exist. Phobias are completely irrational most of the time.
Yes, I consciously know a clown is "just some guy in make-up," but my sub-conscious doesn't. THAT is what makes it hard to deal with.

It's close between Ace and Ash for me. They're both terrible.
But Ace has an aura perk that's useless without other aura perks, a perk that make the massively RNG Luck mechanic SLIGHTLY less RNG, and a perk that can give goods things on great items, or terrible things on terrible items, depending on how chests favor you.
Ash has a perk that punishes the Killer for slugging, an aura perk that allows for tight rescues when the Killer is slugging and a perk that (when it works) gives an extra health state. This is why Ace will always be rock bottom with perks.

Do you know what censorship reasons? Like would China not approve the chapter with a Chinese killer or something?
Something along those lines.
It probably has more to do with Herman being based on an actual monster that works with the Chinese government (and is currently deputy chief of a hospital in Shandong Province) than him originally being a Chinese killer, but they're also VERY strict when it comes to how they're portrayed, so it wouldn't surprise me if he was censored solely for being Chinese.

Herman Carter (Doc's real name) is African American, but through his Archives, we know one of his professors (Blanchard) was German, presumably a former Nazi, given the CIA project PAPERCLIP (which involved a LOT of former Nazi scientists who changed sides, one of which eventually becoming the director of NASA) had already come and gone.

I'm pretty sure the doctor morphs. Maybe it's a Berenstain/Berenstein bears situation but I distinctly remember Doctor being asian since he came with Feng and was inspired by an incident in China. Then at some point he became African. Perhaps the doctor has transcended his human body and is just a being of pure electricity now.
It's not a Mandela Effect. Herman WAS originally Asian during development (which I just now realize as I'm typing this makes his voice actor, Alex Lin, the likeness of Jake Park, make more sense). Spark of Madness was going to be a heavily Chinese-based chapter, but censorship reasons led to Mu Yi being changed to Herman Carter.
You're not going crazy. Yet.

I agree with what you have to say here, but I feel like you missed a VERY common argument.
"DBD is only for slashers!"
To this, I show you the Pig. Saying Saw is a slasher film is pretty much the same as saying the Hillbilly isn't messed up looking. And yet, here we are.
And you missed someone when you were talking about the jumpscares. Her name is the Hag. Jumpscares are half her kit.

@VolantConch1719 you’re fine, I was just putting my thoughts in. Also, @The_Werewolf It’s now cannon that the 1978 movie and the 2018 movie are the only ones relevant in the story. Every Halloween movie in between those two movies now don’t count according to the 2018 directors
I will say this though, in your other thread, you've given me a new perspective about Kazan's whole sword law. So that's something I have touched on with him.

Trapper is from the mac millian estate which if i remember was around the 1870s.
Before we got the Plague, the devs made it very clear that Huntress was the oldest Killer, taken after WWI, which ended in 1918.

I’ve seen a couple of forum posts about this, but those were from 2018. The purpose of this post is that I want to establish a time period of when the original characters came to the entity’s realm. I have a pretty good idea of 3, those being Deathslinger, Oni, and Plague. Deathslinger certainly seems to have been taken from the late 1800s, Oni from the late 1700s-early 1800s, and Plague around 2000 BC. The rest seem to be in the 20th and 21st century.
I created my timeline (which is what you're 98% referring to, since I haven't really seen any others, plus you commented there after you posted this) in 2018, yes, but I do keep it up to date. You're correct that most are 20th to 21st century, with those three you mention being the exceptions. The only one I completely disagree with your estimate is Oni (my placement is 1530-1550 due to those who weren't samurai being banned from even owning swords around 1600, meaning he's from the Sengoku Period).
As for the Survivors, someone did attempt a timeline, but they left the forums after Stranger Things came out, so if you want to go for it, take your shot.

I think spirit might be from the early 2000s. She went to Takamatsu University, according to lore. The university was built in 1996
I apologize if this comes off as mean, because that isn't my intention, but did you read the post?
"It wasn't until January 15, 2019 that it finally clicked in my head to check her university, Takamatsu University. I learned that it wasn't founded until 1996. This made that year the earliest she could have been taken. And she was likely taken later than that."
There just isn't enough information to say early 2000s when she could be from the very tail-end of the 1990s (say, 1998 for example). We're just not given enough information.
Again, sorry if I came off as rude, but I clearly acknowledged the information you gave me a a while back.
-
I don't know if this will count for you, but 2 years ago, AT LEAST ONE of the devs (Sarah Robinson, the Lead UI Designer and Claudette's voice) has stated that she would like FNAF in DBD.
166 votes and 121 comments so far on RedditHere's the proof. Now can we please stop with these posts.
-
I remember thinking "I wonder if they could get Saw in DBD" (I was still just watching rather than playing at that time, but that's besides the point).
The literal next day, they put up the Saw teaser.
Other than that though, I find the reveals to be cool and all, but nothing has really "excited" me like that.
-
Having voice coms make these SWFs hard to surprise, but they're rarely as strong as people often make them out to be.
-
SWF without voice chat are just solo survivors that happen to be in the same group.
-
I feel like we get a bad name from a lot of people.
Yes, solo survivors aren't the best, but that's mostly from a lack of communication rather than a lack of skill.
If solos were given the same communication benefits as SWF, I think we'd see them a lot higher on the totem pole than they are.

As much as I find Chains of Hate to be extremely boring (the thing I find interesting about it is the map), Darkness Among Us was a mess when it released. I love the Legion (and am convinced people just don't know how to play them) and Jeff is up there in my favorite Survivors, but the update had so many issues.
If memory serves me right, it was the first time we saw matchmaking issues (which were fixed a little while later), Legion had a massive exploit of "moonwalking" (which I thankfully never encountered), and Ormond was bugged so badly they had to remove it for a while until they figured out the issue.
Also, Demise of the Faithful was just bland too, and the map is a disgrace (it should have been a desert temple, not a desert temple inexplicably in a Russian forest).

People want Springtrap over Freddy because Springtrap is the actual murderer in the series.
Freddy is just one of a few dead children's spirits possessing an animatronic.
Springtrap is the one who murdered said child. He's the reason the suits are haunted. His first (or is it second? The whole series is convoluted) victim was the little girl who would go on to possess the puppet, who effectively brought the rest to life.
This is a REALLY cut down explanation of why people want Springtrap over Freddy Fazbear. He's just FAR more important to the series.

Ah ok so dbd has taken the game one
Yes, with a minor change to it no longer being James Sunderland's monster but rather Cheryl's monster.

Ok so... is the film apart from the game or it's just a summary?
The films are set in a different universe from the games, loosely based on the first and third films.
-
It's possible you are thinking of the Pyramid Head from the movies, where, from what I can tell, he does exactly what you say he does.
Our Pyramid Head is not that. He's based on the monster from the second game (hence his appearance and add-ons), where he is a manifestation of guilt. In DBD, rather than being from the mind of James Sunderland, he's from the mind of Cheryl, as seen from his P3 cosmetic, the Blood-Soaked Pyramid Head, which says "A manifestation of guilt, this punishing force took shape in Cheryl's dreams and tormented her with nightmarish visions of gore."
-
Pros:
- Pyramid Head can save a lot of time using his cages and Final Judgement.
- By using the trails around a loop (especially at a pallet), he can force a difficult situation.
- His ranged attack can pass through walls.
- DS and BT? Never heard of them.
Cons:
- To save time Pyramid Head NEEDS to get Survivors tormented. Which can be really hard outside of a loop.
- Punishment is heavily telegraphed and gives a giant warning sign to dodge. Granted, it requires very quick reactions, but still.
- The cages are too easy to get Survivors out of if you don't play like a sweaty, campy tryhard. They're hardly ever worth it.
- Pyramid Head has no real map control.
I think Pyramid Head is a decent Killer, but the difficulty of playing him will probably push players away. I know if I wasn't trying to level every character in the game up, I would have given up after the first day. After playing him for a bit, he's definitely strong, but his powers are very situational.
-
I heavily debated whether I should include Soldiers of Mayhem due to how much of a retcon it was, and it doesn't really change their placement. But I put Anna's archive in when it didn't change where she was, so I decided to include it anyway.
-
Pros:
- Caleb has a stupidly quiet terror radius, allowing him to get the drop on Survivors easier (plus, it's smaller)
- Caleb can pull Survivors towards him. Hard to beat that.
- The speargun's hitbox is very small and very accurate, allowing it to go through some very small holes.
Cons:
- Unlike the Legion, Deep Wounds really doesn't do much for Caleb.
- If there are a lot of obstacles, you're stuck between possibly letting the Survivor go and getting a painful stun.
- Reload after every shot can be the reason you lost the chase.
- The speargun's hitbox is very small and very accurate, meaning you need pinpoint accuracy to hit the Survivor.
I'll be honest, Caleb is hard to judge. If you're like me and can't aim very well (and forget about quick-scoping), he's weak. But if you can aim (and are god-like with quick-scopes), he's terrifying. Plus, he has that stupid terror radius. Because of that, I'll rate him at a high 6.
-
Pros:
- Kazan has one of the best tracking powers in the game, right behind Herman.
- Kazan has an instant down power
- Demon Dash has so much speed.
- Unlike Max, Kazan doesn't stop when he hits obstacles.
Cons:
- In the early game, Kazan is just a loopable, M1 Killer.
- The only issue with Kazan's tracking, and what keeps it behind Herman for me, is that it goes away when he has full power.
- You're not sneaking up on anyone with him. He's giant, loud and, with his power, glowing.
- There's a massive "I have my power" warning Survivors get when Kazan has full power.
Kazan is one of my favorites. He's a rare killer that is both fun AND effective. His only real issue is the early game.
-
Pros:
- Demogorgon can teleport, giving it some decent map control.
- After teleporting, Demogorgon has Undetectable for a brief time, which should give him the jump on Survivors.
- Demogorgon's portals, when active, give him decent detection.
- Shred is amazing. Survivor running away, close the gap or eat them. Survivor looping you, prepare that pallet for destruction.
Cons:
- Demogorgon's teleportation can be entirely denied by the Survivors.
- Using Shred slows the Demogorgon while it charges it up.
- Teleportation has a ludicrous cooldown.
- Hit someone = ROAR. Break pallet = ROAR. Teleporting = ROAR. Stunned = WHINE.
- STOMP STOMP STOMP STOMP! Undetectable is now useless.
Demogorgon is another Killer that's more fun than they are effective. I want to rate it higher, I really do, but it just gives way too much information to the Survivors. Half of its power can be denied. Oh, and it's best add-ons are brown. Something is completely backwards with that.
-
Pros:
- Danny has stealth on his side.
- Danny can stalk Survivors to bring them into an instant-down state.
- The reveal mechanic is super clunky.
Cons:
- Danny needs to be pretty conservative about his hits against non-Exposed Survivors, as he can loose all of his stalking status.
- Night Shroud takes a while to recharge, during which Danny is just a loopable M1 Killer.
- The reveal mechanic is super clunky.
It is hard to place Danny because of the reveal mechanic. It both works for and against him a lot of the time. However, he can be scarily effective. I'd place him low 8, high 7.
-
Robotic hand, check.
Grey sideburns, check.
It's by no means perfect, but our Ash is not from Evil Dead, but rather from Ash vs. the Evil Dead. He's also a bit chubbier there (I mean, he's wearing a man girdle, which his torso even jokingly states).
-
Pros:
- Adiris is able to apply the Broken status, making healing obsolete and leaving Survivors with one health state all game.
- Early game, Adiris has OK tracking.
- Corrupt Purge is one of the most powerful attacks in the game.
Cons:
- Without Corrupt Purge, Adiris is a loopable, M1 Killer.
- If she gets stunned, she loses that Corrupt Purge.
- If Survivors don't cleanse, Adiris gets one use out of Corrupt Purge.
Adiris is really hard to place in a tier list. If the Survivors cleanse frequently, she is a force of nature. If they don't, the only thing she has is them being one hit wonders, something that won't really matter to competent Survivors. She's in the upper 7s for me, but she is just too inconsistent.
-
Pros:
- The Legion's Frenzy gives them increased speed.
- They can just ignore pallets with their power.
- Deep Wounds is amazing for slowing down the game.
Cons:
- The Legion is unable to down Survivors with their power, which severely limits its use in a chase.
- The Legion loses some of their power when they make a normal hit (which is the stupidest part of their power).
- Leaving Feral Frenzy in any way (canceling it, hitting someone already in Deep Wounds and running out) puts you in a massive stun.
I really enjoy the Legion. The people that call them weak more than likely don't know how to play them. But the cons they do have are so drastic compared to most of the other Killers.
-
Pros:
- Rin's biggest strength is the "mind games" she can pull off.
- Rin can move around invisibly.
- Passive phase can make Survivors second guess their movements and seriously screws with auras.
Cons:
- Rin can't see Survivors while phasing.
- Rin moves slower than most Killers.
- The "mind games" are literally destroyed by not taking a chance and moving away from the loop.
- While Rin can see scratch marks, if the Survivor backtracks, they're useless.
I won't say Rin is weak, because she's not. My own survival rate against her is probably less than 30%. But she's not as simple as "put on headphones and go." That's just straight up disingenuous and misleading. If that's truly how she worked, people wouldn't have said she was weak when she came out. I'd still put her below Lisa and Freddy, all things considered.
-
While on this topic (or rather the reverse), we haven't gotten a female killer since Plague.
Yes, the last original male was Jeff (who's been around longer), but at least we've gotten male Survivors since him (Ash and Steve). Plague's just been on her own.
-
Disclaimer: I'm forming these using what little I actually do know about Cheryl from the DBD lore and what I've read on the Silent Hill wiki. As such, I may be portraying Cheryl entirely differently from how she is.
Dwight - Dwight's the man in charge, but Cheryl has seen things that he can't comprehend. She'd probably chastise him for his fears.
Meg - Meg strikes me as hot-headed, so I don't think she'd get along with Cheryl.
Claudette - Claudette's pretty distant from the others as is, so I don't think she'd interact with Cheryl often.
Jake - Same goes for Jake.
Nea - Nea's a troublemaker who might get on Cheryl's nerves.
Laurie - I think Laurie and Cheryl would get along. They're around the same age and have both gone through hell, though Cheryl has gone through worse.
Ace - I think Ace would be friendly with Cheryl, since he's just that kind of guy.
Bill - Cheryl and Bill might be pretty close, more so than Cheryl and Laurie. One survived a zombie apocalypse (for a while) and fought in Vietnam, the other dealt with a god-like creature and a demonic cult.
Min - Min's a loner. Even if she played Silent Hill (assuming it exists in her specific universe), I don't think she'd bother speaking with Cheryl. If anything, she'd be confused.
David - No one likes David (I'm talking in lore). Not even Cheryl.
Quentin - Quentin would be in the same boat as Laurie.
Tapp - Tapp might remind Cheryl of fellow detective Douglas.
Kate - Everyone loves Kate. Even Cheryl.
Adam - Adam's a pretty nice guy. Cheryl would probably be nice with him.
Jeff - Also a pretty nice guy.
Jane - Jane might try to comfort Cheryl over what happened in her past, while Cheryl just doesn't want any.
Ash - Probably the closest friendship Cheryl has. I mean, Ash has kind of lost Brandy, so he would probably take Cheryl in as his adoptive "daughter" in a sense.
Nancy - See Quentin and Laurie.
Steve - Same here.
Yui - Yui would probably be indifferent to Cheryl at first, then warm up to her later.
Zarina - They'd probably get along fine.
-
Pros:
- Kenneth can slow Survivors down, obscuring their vision and hearing in the process.
- No other Killer has the potential to punish loops as well as Kenneth can (except maybe Freddy and Lisa).
Cons:
- Kenneth has a very limited supply and really can't afford to reload in a chase.
- Map pressure? Yeah, he has none.
I'll be honest, I don't play Kenneth regularly, so it's hard for me to narrow down his pros and cons. That said, his buff does eliminate his BIGGEST con, so he's already much better. His loop potential is also eliminated through dropping a pallet early or not going to loops he can smoke with ease.

You forgot about deathgarden.
It's been a while since I made that post. I think at the time I wasn't thinking of Deathgarden because it was BHVR's own game, but even I said (somewhere on these forums) that it might have a chance of overtaking DBD. So yeah, I forgot about that one too.
And now that we're here again, weren't Resident Evil and Predator: Hunting Grounds supposed to kill this game too? Or were those just doomsday enthusiasts making bold claims like this again.
-
I mean, you're not wrong lorewise, but I'd argue that he shouldn't be in the game period.
The Stranger Things DLC should have been JUST Nancy or JUST Steve, not both. And I'm saying this as someone who prefers Steve over Nancy (in game, still haven't seen the show). But Nancy has actual good perks, Steve doesn't.
And no, I'm definitely not saying this because it set up an imbalance in Killer to Survivor ratio that now has 2 more Survivors than Killers rather than the 1 that Bill had and my OCD can't rest easy until they bring in another Killer paragraph that will be very unlikely due to how absurd queue times will be. That's not the reason at all.
-
Pros:
- Amanda has a stealth mode, allowing her to get the jump on people.
- In addition to just getting the jump on people, Amanda's Ambush gives her an extended lunge.
- If the Survivors are overly altruistic, they won't finish gens while a RBT is on someone, but this is REALLY rare to see.
- RNG can completely screw Survivors over.
Cons:
- While in stealth, Amanda has no POV. Good luck finding people down there.
- It is pretty rare for RBTs to be an actual threat. More than not, they are just a minor inconvenience.
- RNG can completely screw Amanda over.
Amanda is tricky to place. If RNG is consistently on your side, she's really good. If not, she's garbage. I've been on both ends. I like her, but this is another case of fun over effective.
-
Pros:
- Freddy has the snares at base, allowing him to punish people running him around the same loop.
- Freddy can teleport to generators.
- Freddy's Dream World is passive and always afflicting the Survivors.
- The Microsleep ability makes him difficult to detect at a distance.
- Freddy can fake his teleport to throw Survivors off.
Cons:
- The less Generators in the map, the less Freddy can reliably teleport.
- The teleport has an insane cooldown, even affected by faking his teleport.
- The snares only work when Survivors are in the dream world.
Freddy has an extremely loaded kit with more power than any Killer really deserves. I still feel a good Lisa is a bit stronger, but Freddy is a lot easier to handle than she is.
-
I've been playing a lot of Warframe recently. Not saying I'm any good at it, but that would probably be my answer.
-
Pros:
- Leatherface has an instant down.
- This instant down can hit multiple Survivors.
Cons:
- Leatherface's instant down needs to charge up, which slows him down drastically.
- When Leatherface bumps into an object, he suffers from a glorified stun that lasts forever.
- All of this being said, Leatherface has very little chase potential, being forced to M1 most of the time.
I enjoy Leatherface MUCH more than Max, but even with Max's flaws, he is still FAR stronger than Leatherface. There's no debate that Leatherface is the weakest Killer (if you say Legion is weaker, you don't know how to play Legion).
-
Updated with Pyramid Head, in a really non-standard way.
-
Pros:
- Anna has a ranged ability. This already makes her insanely powerful.
- It's a known fact that Anna doesn't throw hatchets, but instead throws refrigerators. Combined with dedicated servers, she can get ridiculous hits.
Cons:
- Anna's lullaby gives her away from a further distance, but it's no longer directional, so this is pretty minor.
- Anna has a slower speed than normal, countered by her ranged attack.
- Those same gigantic hitboxes the hatchets have are the same hitboxes that hit obstacles when they shouldn't.
- Anna's biggest weakness is her Hatchet count, requiring her to reload at lockers, which can be detrimental in the middle of a chase.
I gave Anna a 7 because the weaknesses she has don't overshadow her strengths. She's only just at a 7, but she still outperforms many others.
-
Pros:
- Herman has some of the best tracking in the game. Always has.
- Each Survivor in Tier III is a Survivor not on gens, giving Herman insane stalling potential, possibly the best in the game.
- Herman can effectively deny pallets and vaults, making him very dangerous to loop.
- The Madness skill checks can really throw off Survivors who aren't very observant.
Cons:
- Calm Spirit. I don't think I need to say more on this.
- Screaming is honestly pretty unreliable in finding Survivors initially, unless they're in Tier III and messing up constantly.
- All of Herman's real power is in his add-ons, not his base form that I'm analyzing.
Herman is my favorite Killer, and I want to place him higher than this. But all of his power comes from his add-ons, so I must place him at a 7. If we do consider add-ons though, especially the Restraint ones, he rises to a 9 for me.
-
Sure as hell don't feel like one though.
-
Pros:
- Lisa has teleportation through her Phantasms.
- The Phantasms can force Survivors to crouch at all times or risk getting jumped and hit.
- Lisa sets the Phantasms up pretty quickly, allowing her to punish Survivors for sticking around the same loop.
- When a Phantasm is triggered, Survivors are turned to the Phantom, which can catch them off-guard, have them crash into a wall, and/or allow an easy hit.
Cons:
- Lisa has no early game to speak of.
- While not as slow as Sally, Lisa has some speed issues, forcing her to rely on her Phantasms in a chase.
- Lisa cannot afford to chase someone outside her set-up area. The distance to teleport without add-ons (which I am looking at here as mentioned with Michael) is too short for a prolonged chase.
- If Survivors have flashlights, they can destroy Phantasms before they trigger. I mean, they need to find them first, which brings me to the final con...
- Small Game. Even if Survivors don't have flashlights, this perk allows them to know when to run and when to crouch.
Lisa is, in my opinion, the strongest Killer in the game without add-ons, , but her cons coupled with her really high skill ceiling prevent her from getting more than an 8 at base. Add-ons make her a different beast entirely.
-
Pros:
- Michael starts the game Undetectable.
- He has faster vaults than the other Killers (except Legion if you count Frenzy).
- In Tier II, Michael still has a small terror radius that's also pretty quiet, giving him more upper hands.
- The literal entirety of Tier III. Further lunge, even faster vaulting, AND Exposed.
Cons:
- Two words: Spine. Chill.
- Michael's early game is pretty poor, even with being able to get the jump on people. He's slower and has reduced lunge.
- Needs to charge his power up for Tier III, which isn't permanent without add-ons (which I'm not counting for these)
Michael is a powerful Killer who is balanced by needing to charge his power up. And he's a lot of fun too.
-
Pros:
- Sally can teleport.
- This teleportation goes right through obstacles in her way (discounting bugs), making her almost unloopable.
Cons:
- After teleporting, Sally gets fatigued, looking down at the ground.
- Sally's teleport is also on cooldown.
- Sally moves slower than a running Survivor. Better use your blink to catch up... oh wait, it's on cooldown.
Honestly, Sally's negatives just outweigh any positives she has. Plus, she's just boring. The only thing going for her is her immunity to looping, but her speed doesn't work with that. She needed a nerf, but BHVR went way too far.
-
It all depends on what you mean by "Shapeshifter."
If you mean a Killer that can shift into a Survivor, that would absolutely not work.
If you mean a Killer that can transform into some sort of creature, I honestly think that could work, if it was done right.
-
This has been stated multiple times, but it will never happen.
NO ONE wants to be affiliated with the director.
-
Pros:
- Instant down ability
- Super speed.
Cons:
- Max controls like absolute garbage. And if you say to steer using Q and E like I've seen so many times in the past, I'd heavily consider that cheating.
- Unless you're in a very open area of the map, Max's speed is irrelevant with how many obstacles there are.
- The Chainsaw is pretty dodgeable if the Survivor is competent. And no, standing right behind them revving the saw so they literally can't react fast enough doesn't make you good, it makes you human garbage.
- Indoor maps are so closed off, half of Max's positives are ripped away from him.
Look, I can see why people place Max so high on tier lists, but I just can't. Maybe it's just my own skill as him seeping into my objective view of him, but I just can't give him any higher than a 6. And that's only due to the insta-down, literally the only thing he really has.
-
Pros:
- Philip has near-total invisibility when cloaked.
- While cloaked, Philip also has a nice speed boost, and keeps it for a bit afterwards, getting some nice distance to hit.
- He is the master at baiting out Dead Hard (I had to restrain myself here).
- Aura-reading perks do little against him due to invisibility.
Cons:
- Flashlights can rip him out of invisibility and mess him up, though this is honestly really hard to pull off (think I've only done it once an been hit by it once).
- As soon as Philip rings that bell, everyone should know to be more alert. Plus, he's slowed down while leaving invisibility, making his speed boost rather redundant, as he's just making up for lost time.
- Like every other stealth Killer, Philip is hard-countered by Spine Chill and, to a lesser degree, Premonition.
- M1 Killer with very little in the way of looping other than cloaking and uncloaking for the make-up speed boost.
Philip is more of a fun Killer than he is a competent Killer. He can do fine in the right hands, but he's considered low-tier by many for a reason.
-
Pros:
- Evan can have some insane map control when he's set up right.
- He can completely deny Survivors from going places or face the consequences
- He is also decent when it comes to snowballing
- Evan can also, when timed right, essentially say "NO" to pallet stuns by placing a trap right before it comes down (see Otz for proof).
Cons:
- Three words: Survive with Friends. More so than any other Killer (except maybe Lisa), Evan has problems against SWF groups.
- He has no early game to speak of, making perks like Corrupt Intervention almost mandatory.
- Small Game tells Survivors where traps are, making those really nice, hidden traps effectively useless.
- His traps are spread all over the map. On big maps, you go in and it's almost already over.
- Loopable, M1 Killer.
With Evan, you need to set up in one area and pretty much stay there to stay effective. Honestly, a 6 is a bit generous, but he can be deadly in the right hands.
-
Clown's getting a small buff, but it's not enough. Everyone else on this list has something.
Leatherface has an insta-down
Legion can injure quickly and the tactic of not healing all match to force him to be an M1 Killer doesn't work when they are actually competent and can bring you down quickly.
Pig can potentially slow down the game if a team is overly altruistic and waits for everyone do de-trap, but her strength is in her Ambush
Wraith has invisibility that lets him sneak up on you
Why is Doc here? Everyone knows he's high B to Mid A tier, maybe higher depending on your skill.
