Someone (I'm blanking on your name right now, sorry) came up with the idea that the Entity grabbed both Jeff and the Legion at the same time. The evidence being Jeff decided to go up to the lodge, and Frank hearing something moving in the woods by the lodge. That something would be Jeff.
Don't get me wrong, I love this theory, and want it to be true. But, after thinking it over, it just opens FAR to many plot holes.
First off, Frank was sixteen when he moved to Ormond. We can gather this from the line in his backstory "His last move had been three years prior when his last foster dad, Clive Andrews, had picked him up from the adoption centre. They'd been on the road for seven hours before reaching a small bungalow in Ormond." It starts that paragraph off saying he is nineteen.
Let's assume he meets Julie, Susie, and Joey very shortly after. They start hanging out, it's all cool. Meanwhile, Jeff, who is still in high school, is working at a video store, where Frank sees his drawings. He pays Jeff to paint "The Legion" in runny, bloody letters."
This is where things fall apart. Jeff's parents get a divorce and he moves to Winkler. There he finishes high school and eventually becomes a roadie. A few years later, he got into a fight that almost cost him his eyesight (hence his scar). The issue here is that few usually refers to THREE or more. Let's just assume, for the sake of the original theory, that Jeff moved to Winkler and graduated in the same year as he painted "The Legion". We are left with... Frank now being nineteen.
Jeff then takes art school, several courses, which usually takes around FOUR years. So, if we are using the minimum amount of time for a few, we are still likely let with SEVEN years after Jeff left Ormond, becuase Jeff doesn't strike me as the kind of guy to just drop out for no apparent reason. Then he "led a quiet, simple life: he brewed beer, took-in a rescue dog, designed tattoos, and freelanced album covers for bands he liked." This alone seems to indicate a while before his father's death.
Meanwhile, the Legion kills that janitor and buries him. Frank hears something in the woods. I so desperately want this to be Jeff, but that would mean those last two paragraphs had to have all happened in THREE years! Otherwise, Frank would be at LEAST 23 years old! What does the very first sentence begin with? "Frank Morrison was nineteen and had little to show for it."
Since they are still very clearly teenagers, this whole theory just doesn't work! Which is really sad, since it's a huge missed opportunity.
This. I think Legion was still in PTB and there was a belief that they were taken with Jeff, which I believed for a few days myself. Then my brain started going "Wait... that's literally impossible given how long Jeff's story takes place." It's also my second most viewed discussion, at 297 views.
After that it was the timeline I built for where every Killer fell, which remains the only discussion I have made that actually seems to stand out (9.2K views).

I cannot play Hillbilly to save my life. I still struggle to see how he is a better Oni when I consistently 3-4k with the latter. I mean, I dislike playing as Nurse and Clown as well, but at least I can play them. Hillbilly is just not enjoyable and I actively want to get the match over with.
As for going against, I find Plague and Spirit to be my least favorite Killers. Plague because it's a game of damned if you do, damned if you don't, especially when you're like me and can't loop, and the sound effects don't help. I don't have the issues many people have with Spirit. Instead, it all has to do with my anxiety when going against her ramping to the extremes. Anxiety isn't fun.

I know this thread is dedicated to an actual chronological timeline, but could anyone who knows fill me in on presumed movie canon based on in-game appearance, quotes, etc? I haven't watched many of the sources for the licensed characters, or if I have, not in a very long time. I watched Halloween (1978) for the first time 2 nights ago.
For Laurie & The Shape, it would seem they are both exclusively from Halloween (1978) as all the quotes, cosmetics, etc are from that film, and there is no mention of Laurie being [TEMPORARY SPOILER TAG] and nothing references the time-skip to Halloween (2018).
I have never watched ANY of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series, but from what I've heard around, his name being confirmed to be Bubba Sawyer at least eliminates some of the remakes from the equation, I just don't know what's what. Anyone know what movies are confirmed canon to The Cannibal who appears in Dead By Daylight?
I know for a fact Quentin and The Nightmare are exclusively from the most recent remake.
I've seen all the SAW films at some point, and fairly clear Detective Tapp and The Pig (Amanda) are taken from their last moments in the series.
The Demogorgon is confirmed to be from end of season 3.
The 4-year anniversary stream confirmed The Executioner is the same Pyramid Head from Silent Hill 2, though I've never played a Silent Hill game, so I'm going to take that to mean Pyramid Head is a species of some sort, and that The Executioner is from Silent Hill 2 only?
Laurie and Michael have very little lore to work with, but we can narrow a few things down. The Halloween chapter came out in 2016, so the 2018 movie doesn't count. The Rob Zombie remake doesn't count, as clear by Michael's pristine mask, and neither does its sequel. And we have a young Laurie, which eliminates Halloweens 4-Resurrection. We can also dismiss the 3rd movie because it doesn't have Michael involved (except for a cameo on a TV).
All that said and done, we have the first and the second movies, the latter of which takes place mere minutes after the first. With how little we actually have for these two (seriosuly, Laurie has two paragraphs with less description than Nancy Wheeler's one paragraph), we have to make assumptions.
Leatherface was taken at the very end of the first movie (which is honestly not as graphic as you're probably imagining, it's honestly more of a psychological horror film). However, we can confirm the names established in the second film (Drayton, Nubbins and Bubba) for the Sawyer family to be canon.
You are dead on with Quentin and Freddy.
You're also right with Tapp and Amanda, 2004 and 2006 respectively (although I'm questioning the year I placed Amanda because the Saw timeline is so convoluted).
The Stranger Things characters are supposed to be post-season 3, even though I still don't agree with that.
As for the Executioner, you and I are in the same never-played-Silent-Hill boat. From what I can gather from the Silent Hill wiki, Pyramid Head is a species of some sort, given life through guilt, or something along those lines. The Pyramid Head we have is based on the ones from the 2nd game, which takes place in the 1990s (which I will update when he comes out).
Hope this makes sense.
-
I could say characters are my mains because of how much I enjoy playing them (like Adam and Oni), and I will call them that pretty much everywhere, but that would simply be disingenuous. I'll let my contradictory characters' levels (all gained through playing as that character) speak for themselves.
I do primarily main Doctor though.
-
The Endurance is only going to matter if the Killer is right on top of you when you get up and getting up on your own is going to require the Killer to be running a Hex in the first place AND it needs to be affecting you at that moment. It's a powerful perk that will be good against those teammates that bring you up just as the Killer gets there and knocks you down again, but other that that, it's way too situational. If it actually does change the meta, I'll be surprised.
-
A lot of people here seem to think Jane is Hispanic, but her lore says: "She can play any female role, lead or support, and yet she only gets auditions for the “Spicy Latina” or the “funny immigrant” or the “waitress with an accent,” never just… woman… American."
If we're to take her Archive to heart (since it is the lore BHVR set for her), this is either a case of Latinx (I believe that's the right all-encompasing term, someone please correct me if I'm wrong) looking very similar to Hispanics OR she's not Hispanic.
That would mean we still need a Hispanic Survivor, along with a Native American, Pacific Islander and South Asian (as the Asian Survivors we have are Eastern, and the difference can be pretty large).
-
Oni is ridiculously strong and is a well-trained warrior, Leatherface has a chainsaw and Legion has four members, effectively giving you SIX protectors (and given their speed, the others will have a hard time bringing them down).
-
I remember the chat from the 3rd Anniversary. It was the last time I was really on Twitch to watch a livestream. It was so bad, ESPECIALLY when some of the devs were speaking French. All you could see was "ENGLISH ONLY!!!"
I knew better this time and fullscreened it. Looks like that was a smart decision.

All these sh2 references in these addons. It's just a big gallery of sh2 qoutes and items. It's great. This MUST be the PH from number 2. I'm really interested to see what lore they write for this guy now after seeing these add ons.
"A sadistic and merciless executioner, Pyramid Head is fixated on dispensing punishment through pain. Encumbered by the steel frame upon his head and with a hulking great blade in tow, he stalked the hellish corridors of Silent Hill, committed to a duty that no one truly understood. Where he trod, even monsters fled for the shadows, and those who crossed his path fell victim to unrestrained acts of aggression. When his duty was complete and his presence was no longer needed, he prepared for the long restーand yet, his skills were required elsewhere. The fog that streamed over him was somehow different than that he was accustomed to in Silent Hill, as if each wisp contained the nerves of a creature, writhing, seeking him out. There was an unspoken agreement in that moment. The billowing cloud was an invitation to duty and sadism, and Pyramid Head, taking a step into the fog, accepted his obligation once more."
This is what they have. I typed it as I was looking at it a few hours ago, but I could provide a screenshot if you need proof.
While I'm at it, here's Cheryl's.
"Caring and impulsive, Cheryl Mason, previously known as Heather, attempted to rebuild her life after the tragic death of her adoptive father, Harry Mason. While she had freed herself from the religious cult that pursued her since birth, she was shackled by the guilt of her father’s death. A darkness punished her every night under the guise of abominable nightmares. To ease her conscience, she volunteered at a crisis intervention center for troubled youth. Three months later, she aced training and could answer the crisis line without supervision. Yet little could have prepared her for the first call. All she heard was static. The air thickened around as black fumes rose from the ground and suddenly she heard the voice of a womanーsomeone she thought she’d never hear from again. Why do you cling to this world? You know that only God can save us. It couldn’t be herーClaudia was dead. Suddenly, the world spun and she dropped on her knees, nauseous. Hot bile traveled up her throat and she retched warm blood on the floor. Then the spinning stopped as swiftly as it began. Cheryl looked up and saw she was someplace else. A cold, hopeless place."
They're not too interesting (at least, as someone who knows nothing about Silent Hill), but they're better than Stranger Things lore.
-
I'll admit, Pyramid Head was barely even on my radar.
To me, the shape of the 4 was just a coincidence that I could barely even see. Everything pointed to Candyman for me.
Here's the thing though. According to Leaks by Daylight, Pyramid Head had to be nerfed before coming to the PTB. Perhaps he was slated for 17 and Candyman for 16 to coincide with the movie's release. The pushback caused everything to change, so Silent Hill got pushed up and Candyman will come out in September.
Just a theory, and me being slightly disappointed in being wrong, but I'm over that.
-
I'm fine. A little disappointed by how much they hyped up this chapter while still pleased that they kept it under wraps.
Pyramid Head was towards the bottom of my guesses simply because there was no evidence for him and my zero knowledge on Silent Hill, but I'll still get him and Cheryl and level them both up because I love this game.
Now... if the PTB would finish downloading (and stop going from 50 minutes to 18 minutes back 3 hours) so I could actually look at them properly...
-
You got both the Killer AND the Survivor right a full year before this all happened.
Perks and power are way off, but congratulations.
-
I'd be... fine I guess.
I just don't know ANYTHING about Pinhead, and the Hellraiser wiki doesn't help any. I mean, he looks cool, so there's that.
I'll still buy him and play him because I honestly love this game, even with it's many flaws.
-
Same problem on PC.

Really? I had no idea nor had heard of this man before so I always assumed he was based off of Mkulta experimental "doctors"
Doctor's Archive mentions MKULTRA, along with two lesser known CIA projects, MKDELTA and MKSEARCH, the latter of which began in 1964. Fellow forum member Rattman found that Léry's Memorial Institute was condemned in 1983. So you were kind of close.
He was ABSOLUTELY based on Yang Yongxin though. Before he was African American Herman Carter, he was Chinese Mu Yi. Censorship reasons caused him to be changed.
-
While I don't care for the cosmetic or the meme (mainly due to how it misuses her name), the only reason I can see for the "hate" is how streamers targeted them for a while.
For me, if you throw yourself into my sword, I'm not slowing down. Unless you're an Adam. Then I'm going for you last because Adam is precious.

All of the boxes are real. Idk why you guys would use that phrasing - when you put your hands in, you're searching for a key, and just one box has that key.
Anyway, pig is not broken at all. She needs a decent buff, actually. She's overall definitely weak.
The most broken would have to be Deathslinger and Spirit. Also arguably Oni, since he got his flick back, which makes him virtually uncounterable - at least in solo queue when you can't ensure your people are smart and to at least stay separated so he can't down everyone in 2 seconds. Deathslinger is insanely broken on probably half of the loops in the game, and it's a total guess about when you should try dodging and how you should do so - he shouldn't be able to move at all when he's reeling you in in those loops, although idk how to make the game know to make it just not be possible to move in those cases. Spirit's huge issues are well-known and the devs will never make her balanced or counterable.
I used that phrasing because they used it so I could make it easier for them to understand. I figured people would know what I meant.
-
Just want to point out that the Pig has no way of knowing which boxes are real or not either.
For my actual broken Killer, I'd say Huntress solely due to how bad Dedicated servers are with her hatchets and when they decide to hit or not. Deathslinger's nearly nonexistant terror radius is pretty close by.
-
I wouldn't be disappointed with Candyman, but I wouldn't exactly be excited either. He's a cool character who could definitely fit in, but he is just not worthy of the hype BHVR is giving this chapter.
-
Distressing. As soon as you can, grab Distressing. No other Killer benefits from an enlarged Terror Radius like Doctor does.
Like what DudeDelicious says, get people into Madness III quickly. This will keep them off gens so you can apply pressure.
Also like he says, practice timing your shocks. This is the hardest part of Doctor's kit. One second too early, the Survivor can still vault or drop the pallet. One second too late, they'll already have vaulted or dropped the pallet. You should also learn the distance it can go and how wide the area of effect is. The Maple Knight add-on can help out with this early on.
For starting out, Whispers is also an excellent perk for knowing when to use Static Blast. Combine it with Distressing and as soon as it lights up, you know someone is in your Terror radius. Combine this further with his Calm add-ons and you'll be getting Survivors very quickly. If you can't get it, Discordance or Barbecue & Chili (if you have them) do the job just as well.
I know I'm terrible at explaining things, but I hope this makes sense
-
I fully believe it to be Candyman, but I would much rather have a Xenomorph.
The film is so many times more impactful and would bring in so many more people than Candyman could ever dream of.

They could be using that tweet as misdirection...
Doesn't change it being a poor business decision.
-
Most of the old evidence that we've had for a while points to Candyman.
Alien has been creeping up as a potential competitor, but there just isn't enough there.
It would be a poor business move by BHVR to tease Candyman with that tweet, Tony's tweets and the bee-like sound files just for it to not be him. While many would probably appreciate that, from a business perspective, it's not a smart move.
-
This is an old thing here, but I did it anyway.
While I disagree with the Killer, the description is actually pretty accurate.
Wouldn't agree with the description, but hey, it's my second favorite Survivor, so I can't complain.
-
- Xenomorph
- Jason
- Pennywise
- Candyman
- Pyramid Head
Alien is one of the most influential horror movies ever, so much so that it's preserved in the Library of Congress. A Xenomorph would also be a terrifying creature to deal with.
Jason is one of the big boys of the slasher genre. Yet the lawsuit has kept him so far away from his slasher brothers.
Pennywise is such a cool creature, but my big issue with him is how powerful he is, potentially on par with the Entity. You just can't show that power in the game without completely breaking it.
Candyman's cool, and if they had Tony Todd voice him, it would be perfect. But he's just... not really all that iconic.
Pyramid Head is so far at the bottom he doesn't count. Maybe it's just my lack of experience with Silent Hill, but I just don't see the appeal of this character. From what I've seen others say, he doesn't even truly exist either, being a figment of the main character's guilty conscious or something.
-
The reason it's there is so you can't completely ignore it like you can with other skill checks if you time it right to let go.
Is it weird? Yes, but it's there for a reason. It is exactly what you described: an anti-gen tap perk.
-
They have much more freedom with their own characters than they do with Licensed characters.

Jeff got taken years after Legion. He was paid by the members to paint their hideaway, it was his first paid gig. He left Ormund and wound up coming back years later when his dad died. Legion was gone at that point because I believe his journal entry mentions that he went up there for a viewing of his painting and the locals thought it haunted or something. Poor bugger never came back down.
As to Hag, I always saw her as being between 1890s or 1910 or during the height of riverboats or just before it. Before everyone had nice lightbulbs and power. And really somewhere along the Mississippi because Riverboats were a huge thing back in the day. Blame a half forgotten research paper I did years back when my high school did the musical Showboat.
Long before we had Plague, the devs confirmed the Huntress (1918) to be the oldest Killer. This is why I used the rise of witchcraft for the Hag in the major timeline while leaving her out of the TL:DR because that is just pure guesswork rather than looking at evidence like with everyone else because there simply ISN'T evidence for her. Add-ons, power description, backstory, cosmetics that are clearly canon... Nothing.
I really hope she gets her Archive soon so we can finally settle her placement, but for now we have such a large area to work with.
-
I was doing the Key-hatch escape Challenge. The Huntress had already killed someone, someone else was on the hook (I think it was Claudette) and Jake was being chased. I find the hatch as Jake gets downed, and I'm determined to bring someone with me.
Yeah... that didn't happen. My overly altruistic self got me killed.
The other one was right at the exit gates where Doctor was waiting. He didn't shock me, Dead hard just decided to not actually work. Would've gotten another Archive challenge too.

She must speak some English though. Because if you read her perks, the quotes at the bottom are in English. The quotes are from Feng Min, as it says in the perk. So whether that counts to anything, idk?
They kind of have to be in English. Otherwise, they would read like (actual translations from the Chinese wiki)
Technician: 我要偷偷完成这个
Lithe: 怎么,有挫败感了吗?
Alert: 我拥有真视
Quotes like this kind of have to be in the viewer/listener's native language. I can't speak from in-game experience, but the German wiki has the quotes in German, the Chinese wiki has (obviously) Chinese quotes, etc. This would mean that Dwight is fluent in Chinese, German and English, which I think we can confidently say he's not.

More: Adam, Adam, and maybe a little more Adam.
Less: Nea and Claudette. I see them way too much (Meg's not included because she isn't nearly as bad).

Placed Anna's archive in and slightly edited Leatherface's year.

When Friday the 13th came out, they said it would kill DBD. They were wrong.
When Last Year came out, they said it would kill DBD. They were wrong.
When Hex: Ruin was nerfed, they said it would kill DBD. They were wrong.
When the maps were changed, they said it would kill DBD. They were wrong.
What makes your claim have any more merit than these?

Oh wow, they've said that different versions of survivors come from different realms. Parallel universes and stuff. Do they really change lore this fast? Even when it's not about cash (looking at you, Demogorgon)?
Would be the first I've heard of this honestly. It's been pretty consistent as far as I know.
-
I don't fear people with auric cell only cosmetics. If anything, I'm more worried about their wallets.
I love this game, and will gladly pay for DLC, but cosmetics are way too expensive for what they are.
-
No they didn't. We're still in the dark.

China is a touchy subject. It is a beautiful country with beautiful culture. It also has one of the strictest governments on Earth. Anything that government disagrees with is essentially illegal.
To avoid this, many games attempt to get around this by not including anything related to China, save for maybe a Lunar New Year event. Because nothing about that shows China in a negative light, it's all good to go.
Now, let me tell you the tale of a character in Dead by Daylight. His name is Mu Yi. We know quite a bit about this guy. Likely Chinese, some of his add-ons were the Jade Charm, Nanmu Catapult and the Tiger Fang Charm. We also know that he was (obviously) a Killer.
However, his presence would have gotten DBD banned in China, because he was a Chinese Killer (most likely, anyway). He was also heavily based on a real life monster named Yang Yongxin (who I would recommend looking up just to get the idea of his horrors).
Mu Yi is in the game. He just had to get a different ethnicity and name. He stopped being Chinese and became African American, and Mu Yi was changed to Herman Carter. You may know him as, the Doctor.
Like I said, China is a VERY touchy subject when it comes to their presence in video games. The fact that we have Feng Min is a surprise. And which Killer did she come with? The Doctor. The certainly tried to go for a Chinese chapter, but they just couldn't.
-
You bring up decent points, which are always my fallbacks against it being a Candyman chapter myself. I just want to bring up two points you made that are not that true.
"The devs never talked about candyman before and how they would love to have him in the game."
They actually have. A while back (at least before Deathslinger since that's when I found it through Paulie Esther), Mathieu was giving an interview. At the end of it, the interviewer quick-fired movie killers that BHVR would like to add. Among these were the likes of Chucky, Pinhead and, guess what, Candyman. He said yes to all of these. And Pennywise.
"Candyman was recently pushed back to september cough when chapter 17 would be released. It wouldn’t make sense to have this chapter be candyman and have the movie be released three months later."
BHVR works on their Killers in advance. Candyman was originally going to release in correlation with the Anniversary. If they were working with the license holders to release Candyman around that time, they would have been working on him and have him done by that time. Chapter 17's Killer is still months away from being good to test by the community. While it would make perfect sense to release a Candyman chapter at that time, BHVR may not have another choice. They literally don't have another Killer ready. If Candyman was their planned Chapter 16, he's going to be Chapter 16.
That last reason, combined with all of the other evidence (audio files that sound like a bee swarm, Tony Todd retweeting things related to DBD leaks about Candyman, Thomas's tweet, the gold coloring resembling honey) leads me to the conclusion that Candyman is the most likely Killer that will enter the realms for the 4th Anniversary.
This is not to say that I'm hopeful for Candyman. There are quite a few licenses I'd rather see first. But I stand by where the clear evidence leads.
-
Honestly, anything BUT Sprint Burst. Adrenaline and Dead Hard are the main ones for me, but Dead Hard sometimes decides it doesn't want to work.
-
There are subtle clues to the location of generators on indoor maps.
On Lérys Memorial Institute, lights flicker in the presence of an incomplete generator.
On The Game, doors are closed when a nearby generator isn't complete.
On Hawkins... I honestly got nothing. The map itself is pretty linear and the gens spawn in roughly the same places though, so if you can memorize them, you won't have a problem.
Recognize these, and you'll find gens. Or randomly wander about, using perks like Deja Vu or Detective's Hunch to find them. Either works.
-
I am exclusively a solo player because none of my friends have the game. Yet, I have been accused of being in a SWF group three times (I think, one of them was in a different language so I took a guess at what was said).
Every single time, I was running Kindred. Makes coordination quite a bit easier.
-
In regards to what we learn about Kate, Back to Zero is pretty bad. We learn that she was selling out, she was mad at herself about it, and heard that melody for a while. And that's pretty much it. Even Jane's archive, for as much as I hate it, built on her character.
The biggest thing I took away from Back to Zero was this statement. "She knows she’s always sensed and felt things others couldn’t."
What my current theory is this is what ties all of the other Survivors together. Perhaps this sense is what allowed the Entity to take them from their own world. Say what you will about the Entity only taking those who won't be missed. That flies in most cases, but Kate, Jane and Yui were well known, and the latter two were celebrities. No one would miss them? That makes no sense.
With that being my only big takeaway from Kate's lore and nothing else really major about KATE HERSELF, I can definitely say this was on the weaker end of the lore. Would I call it the worst, no. I cannot overlook the SJW fever dream that is All the World a Stage, but Back to Zero is only just above it.

Would you rather believe what in game description says or wiki?
While not fully stated as giving 15% progress bonus on healing survivors, it is HEAVILY implied that's how the perk works. This is why it is actually better to rely on the wiki than on in-game explanations. The wiki actually explains what the perks don't mention. And what Autodidact doesn't mention is that the tokens only work when healing a Survivor without a med-kit.
-
The devs have stated that it's solely for gameplay purposes. Canonically, there is only one Claudette, only one Ash, only one Dwight, only one Adam, etc.
It's just done so anyone can play anyone they want and not be locked out because someone else picked that same Survivor.
-
Perk I: Mean Support
You don't really care for these people, but that's no reason not to help them. You're better than that.
For each missed Skill Check while healing, gain a token, up to a maximum of 5.
For each token, succeeding on a Skill Check while healing will grant 3% more progress and gain 25/50/75% more Bloodpoints in the Altruism category.
"Did that hurt? Good." - Mad VolantConch1719
Perk II: Done Running
You grew up running from your problems. It's time to fight back.
Pallet stuns last 1/2/3 seconds longer and reduce the Killer's movement speed by 3% for 10 seconds.
"You know that nerd you always picked on? I'd start running now!" - VolantConch1719
Perk III: Get Away From Them
You hate to admit it, but you've grown quite fond of these strangers. You're not going to leave them behind.
When the Exit Gates are powered, taking a hit for another Survivor causes you both to sprint at 150% of your normal running speed for a maximum of 3 seconds.
You suffer from the Exhausted status effect for 60/50/40 seconds, the other Survivor does not.
Get Away From Them cannot be used while Exhausted.

It was the username Xbox Live gave me years ago, and it just became my default username for everything. Nothing that special.
-
In terms of effectiveness, the glove may not be the best, but it gives Oni so much more awareness. The injured especially have no means of stealth.
-
One, this is amazing lore.
Now for the actual question, who should you buy.
Oni is incredibly powerful once you get his power active (I feel that with it active, he's a stronger Hillbilly, but I also can't play Hillbilly to save my life), and when he doesn't have it, he gets decent tracking ability. However, if you can't get that power up quickly, you are an M1 Killer with no power.
Doctor (my vote and main) has the greatest tracking in the game. He can also shut down vaults and pallet drops quickly and secure kills reliably. The only issue with him is timing, because a moment too early can result in a miss, and a moment too late is only worth it to increase madness. And experienced Survivors will drop pallets early.
Deathslinger is fun and powerful, especially when combined with Monitor & Abuse, but the hitbox on his harpoon is so precise. This isn't Huntress's hatchets where you can hit a Survivor from ten feet away. As someone who doesn't do good with first person shooters, this makes him feel clunky. If you're good with FPS games, he's pretty good, but otherwise he's pretty meh. Deep Wounds also isn't that threatening.
Plague is a meh Killer at times and a god-like Killer other times. Her power is largely dictated by Survivors. If they don't cleanse, you have one use of your true power. After that, you are an M1 Killer with no power.
Legion is... good at getting Brutality points. They're not as bad as people say they are, but that doesn't mean they're good. They can slow the game down a little bit with Deep Wounds, but that's about it.

I mean, he looks cool and all, but here's another thing to look at.
Look at the tally marks. Do you see the skulls?
I saw someone point this out (I believe it might have been on Reddit), but the first tally skull is in the almost exact same position as the skull in the teaser.
During the build-up to last year's anniversary, they had the four Killers from the year before (Clown, Spirit, Legion and Plague) but given a chrome sheen.
Due to Ghost Face and Demogorgon being licensed, maybe they can't do that this time (or they'll save it for the last few days). Or, with four tally marks and four years, they'll do a skull every now and then leading to the anniversary stream.
Just like you what you said, it is pure speculation.

- "Do you expect certain killers to camp or meme?"
If I expect any Killer to camp, it's Leatherface, for obvious reasons. Any Leatherface who doesn't camp has my respect. As for those that meme, I always go in expecting the Killer to play normally, but Ghost Face tends to meme the most for me.
- "Do you dread being put on a team with someone playing a specific survivor?"
I've only seen a few people being the "stereotypes" (Dwights hiding in lockers all the time, Megs being useless, etc.). Not enough of a selection to give me reason to not accept them in my group.
- "Do you judge someone's likely skill level based on who they're playing or what cosmetics they're wearing?"
If someone is wearing prestige, I expect them to be at least somewhat decent. Outside of that, their character has little influence over me.
- Do you tunnel people or let them live based on their character or cosmetics?
I try my hardest not to tunnel people. On the flip side, if someone is paying Adam, I try to go for them last.
- And why?
Adam is my favorite Survivor and I rarely ever see him. Must preserve the species.
