We know a a decent amount of the other Legionnaires.
- Frank - An orphan (presumably) who was passed from foster home to foster home before meeting Julie, the leader of the Legion, overprotective of his friends, and enjoys heavy metal music (based on his mixtape).
- Susie - Shy and naïve, Julie's best friend, has been described as weird by the devs, seems to dislike seeing others happy (Cozy Holidays), wants to fit in with the others (New year Shoplifter), sophomore (both basic skins are called Sophomore Jitters), wanted nothing to do with the janitor's murder, and enjoys what I believe to be hip hop (based on her mixtape).
- Joey - Show off, has a car, was fired from his job, son to a single mother (Season's Killings), first to stab the janitor after Frank ordered them, seems to enjoy "chill" music (based on his mixtape), and seems knowledgeable about how to knife fight (my guess from his personalized karambit that you can not disarm easily).
Julie, however, is a bit more mysterious. We know she wanted a life out of Ormond, so she started hanging with Frank. She must be rich because of the parties she throws... and that's about it. She listens to dark and depressing music and she's a senior (Fairview Senior), but she has nothing else to develop her character. She's gotten one cosmetic since their release and it is so clearly non-canonical. Her character development stops shortly after her introduction.
What I'm hoping this will be is her first meeting with Frank. Susie and Joey were already her friends (I mean, they were at her parties), but Frank is an outsider to Ormond.

I'd say this is pretty well done. Min's probably the only original Survivor that we have actual dates for, so it's actually possible to do this.
Another thing... congratulations on using her name correctly (except for one line, but it's a breath of fresh air compared to everyone else).
You also have two 2)s in the conclusion, but that's just me nitpicking on a well done analysis at this point.
Note: This was made before the changes that were done. It is now perfect.

Just wait for the next update, where a Killer nerf will occur (potentially the nerfing or removal of bloodlust) and Killers will come here en masse to complain about it, before the Survivors tell them to "git gud" and laugh in their misery.
A theoretical situation, but it seems to be the pattern. Killers complained about Ruin, Survivors complained about breakable walls, Killers complained about Sabotage, and now Survivors are complaining about map changes.
I'd hate for this to be true, but I can't say I have confidence in the community anymore. Not when we're all at each others throats like this.

You're pretty much the only person here who likes All the World a Stage. But I can respect your opinion and understand where you're coming from.
It is a story about overcoming adversity. Jane never sells out, and it does have a happy ending to it with her becoming the co-host of Quick Talk. But for me, and I think most people here, that's where the redeeming qualities end.
I don't have the same issue with it that most others have. Most people wanted to know more about her mother, because that was a blatant plot hole that should have been addressed (was Loretta Jane's mother like she knew growing up and seemingly shown by her appearance at the funeral, called her mother, or is she not, as she claims during the interview). This story doesn't do that. In fact, Loretta isn't mentioned once. Instead, we are introduced to this Dwayne character (who, admittedly, does decent social commentary on minority films).
My issue is how much of a SJW fever dream it is. It felt like every other sentence was there to remind you "hey, she's a minority!" That's not good character development. It's a lazy attempt to do social commentary in a game where that doesn't belong. And, judging by the reaction by quite a few people, that drove them away from the story (some people even said they were inspired to tunnel Jane due to it, which does admittedly seem a bit extreme). Another issue I have is how lazily they wrote Jane's character. More specifically, how she could never find anything more than small, overexaggerated racial archetypes. If she was even a halfway decent actress, especially in the time period the story seems set in (late 2000's-early 2010's), she should be able to get an actual role. And the sudden heel-turn the director did at the end was just stupid. His logic had fifteen leaps too many and costed him the show, given how long it takes to get actors trained, all in the name of "comedy" (which overly exaggerated accents like that barely qualify as to begin with).
I respect your opinion of this story, but I also want to tell you that you are a lonely voice, and the devs should know better than to follow a story type that no one cares for. I am sorry if I seem hostile, but that's simply how I am when I rant like this.
So, to end this, a positive statement, because you feel genuine in your love for this story. Good job on getting through the Escape through the Hatch with a Key 2 times challenge. That one turned my insanity to full-blast.

A conversation about my two mains? Okay.
They both have their strengths and weaknesses.
When it comes to tracking, no one does it better than Doctor. Oni has decent tracking in the early game, but it gets lost the more orbs are out there. Doctor also has better stall potential, able to get people off of gens with Madness and keep them off. However, he just doesn't have anything to help him in a chase. He can get easy hits at pallets and windows IF he gets the shock in before the pallet is dropped or the window is vaulted. Another thing is that, without his blast, he doesn't exactly have much map pressure.
Oni's early game is pretty bad. His tracking isn't as good as Doctor's, and he also doesn't have much to help in a chase. He excels in two areas that I feel Doctor lacks: mobility and map pressure. Most people say that Oni is a worse Hillbilly, but I actually find him stronger (maybe I'm just a bad Hillbilly, because that is entirely possible). He doesn't feel as clunky, doesn't stop when hitting obstacles, can simply charge a lunge rather than a full sprint, and, although rare, can hit multiple people with one hit. As the game goes on, you should be getting Demon form more and more, because there will be more orbs for you to absorb, which gives you much more map pressure due to being a constant threat with an instadown attack.
Overall though, I do feel that Doctor is the stronger of the two. While he does lack mobility and map pressure, he makes up for it in tracking and gen pressure, which are probably more important.

They'll probably give out a roadmap and have a bloodpoint event, as well as an explanation for the next Chapter.
As cool as Candyman would be, I don't want him as a Chapter. Unless they pulled a Ghost Face again (which they got A LOT of backlash for), the Survivor vs. Killer count is off. I still believe that Stranger Things should have just been either Nancy or Steve, not both. Besides, we need another Killer Paragraph, since Leatherface came out in 2017.
I want original Killers, because they can do whatever they want with them and no one can say "this was never established," while they need to stay true to the abilities in licensed characters. I also want more... bestial creatures. A user here on the forum, icemancat, did an in-depth look at masks for Payday 2 that you got for being in the DBD Community Group. He theorized the Devourer as a potential future Killer, but I want the Clawer, which looks like some weird, crab creature. It's a water Killer, which seems to be heavily requested, it's a monster, also heavily requested, and just looks so cool from the mask alone.
I'm really hoping that they talk about their matchmaking plans, and give us the ability to KNOW that it's working. The way they talked about it, it seems like we'll just be left in the dark. Right now, it's a hot mess that could so easily be fixed, but isn't because BHVR chooses not to for some reason. It was all fine until Oni came out, what happened there? Just an explanation, no matter how small, is all we (or at least I) want.
As cool as cross-play would be, a good PC Nurse will always do better than a great Playstation Nurse because of latency issues. I don't think they'll talk about this.
Cross progression would be a large plus to people with multiple systems (so... not me), and is something they should look into, but I'm not too hopeful there.
Honestly though, I don't know how much of this will be covered. Next Chapter for sure, but that's it.

Besides Rancor, how are any of those second chance perks? Second chance perks are when you fail your objective.
Devour Hope you have to hook people.
Haunted Grounds you need that hex to be cleansed.
Blood Warden you need a hook and an open gate.
Where did you even get iron maiden from???? How would anyone think this is a second chance perk?
Make your choice again requires you too hook a survivor and be far away for the unhook.
I never mentioned add ons or offerings, and although I'm against Iridescent heads, moris to require some effort if you play fair, and with tombstone myers you'll be spending alot of time stalking. If we can mention iri heads then I'll mention keys.
Finally, unless its EGC no one camps at rank 1, unless you're a toxic bastard which I never am because I know how killers feel.
Don't feed him Cheers. Just look at his response to me and you'll see that he has no idea what second chance means even if you explain it to them. Move along.

1 second chance perk? Killers have a lot more than 1 second chance perk. NOED? Rancor? Devour Hope? Haunted Ground? Blood Warden? Iron Maiden? Make your Choice? Tombstone Myers? Iri Head Huntress? Ebony Mori's? Not to mention killers have the ability to face camp?
You don't seem to understand the definition of second chance perk. NOED is a second chance perk, rewarding the Killer for failing to protect gens. Let's look at the rest of these "second chance perks" and see if they are truly what you say (at the risk of feeding an obvious bait troll).
Rancor - Gives you the last known location of all Survivors every time a gen is done, and allows the instant-downing and mori-ing of the obsession, at the cost of the obsession constantly seeing your aura every time a gen is done. Could be considered a second-chance, but it only really effects on person. Moving on.
Devour Hope - Rewards the Killer for going away from the hook, but has the unreliability that Hex perks innately have of possibly being destroyed before it even activates once. The only failure it rewards the Killer for is not keeping Survivors on the hook, and the only way to guarantee that is to face camp. Not a second chance perk.
Haunted Ground - Rewards the Killer for... the Survivors cleansing a lit totem. The Killer gets no say in when, or even if, this perk activates. Not a second chance perk.
Blood Warden - Rewards the Killer for catching a Survivor when the gates are open. Could be seen as a second chance perk, but is so easily countered by 99ing the gates when someone gets downed.
Iron Maiden - Never thought I'd ever see this called "second chance perk." How does it reward the Killer? By giving them a short time span to instantly down a Survivor who most likely got out of the locker after the Killer was long gone? An action they have ZERO control over? The only Killer this perk is actually good for is Huntress due to the locker opening times (and possibly Doctor, due to lockers canceling his power). Not a second chance perk.
Make Your Choice - Rewards the Killer from going away from the hook... just like Devour Hope. Requires the Killer to find who actually did the unhooking within a minute. Effects one person at a time. Not a second chance perk.
Tombstone Myers - Not even a perk. By the time he gets to Tier III, you should be almost out the door, and he can't kill you if you run in a locker. Rewards Michael for going after EVERY Survivor. Not even remotely second chance.
Iridescent Head - Also not a perk. Admittedly needs a serious rework, but still rewards the Huntress for hitting with her hatchet. Not even remotely second chance.
Ebony Mori - ALSO not a perk. Does need a rework (should either get two hooks on one person or hook every person once), but rewards Killers who catch the Survivors after they get unhooked. Say it with me now... NOT EVEN REMOTELY SECOND CHANCE!
The ability to face camp - Do I even need to say this isn't a perk? I also find it funny that in this same post, you complained about two perks that reward the Killer for NOT face camping. It absolutely sucks that people can do this, and there should be more motivation not to, but, unfortunately, it does reward the Killer for catching a Survivor. If they do this, just stay there, waste their time, give them less bloodpoints for proximity, and for the love of the Entity, DO THE GENS!!! NOT SECOND CHANCE!!!
What a second chance perk does is reward the player for making bad gameplay, such as getting caught by the Killer almost immediately (Decisive Strike) or failing to protect the gens (NOED) What you threw out are just perks and items that give the Exposed status effect or, in the case of the Mori, can kill you, with Blood Warden being the only exception.
-
The whole point of Small Game is to find totems. It's nice to have against Trapper and Hag (I would assume Nightmare, but I haven't gone against him with it active), but that's not the main point of it.
-
Out of all the characters, I've always connected with Min the best. Yeah, Adam may have slightly overtaken her as my favorite Survivor, but she's still way up there.
Doesn't hurt that can actually say her name correctly (all of you calling her Feng, yeah, I'm looking at you!)
-
Uhm...
-
If the leaks are true, legion is getting their Archives soon, so it might be worth getting them now.
In any other instance, I would say Oni. People say he's a worse Hillbilly, but he has some significant advantages. He has some of the best tracking ability in the game, his Demon form doesn't stop at obstacles like the chainsaw does, You can do a simple lunge and have an instant down rather than need to charge it up all the way, you can hit multiple people, and he just looks so much cooler. Admittedly, needing to hit people to charge his power up, having it for a limited time, and being loud enough to hear a mile away does even all of that out.

I'll be playing on PC. I've been playing Overwatch for a long time now as a long-range shooter, so that might help me a bit? Can any of the killers be purchased within the game or only via dlc? Sorry for asking so many questions I just want to be sure haha
I know you've decided, but I'm going to answer this question. Can any of the killers be purchased within the game or only via dlc?
Yes. All of the original Killers can be earned through playing the game. It will take a long time to do so, but you can.
Licensed ones must be bought with real money.
-
Huntress is free and is considered one of the strongest Killers in the game. You'll get her regardless.
I don't know what you're playing on, but PC has the most needed to buy, so I'll cover them all from that perspective.
The Shape - Halloween DLC. A lot of fun to play and can be pretty powerful late game. Struggles in the early game due to needing to build up his power and that power has been facing a bug recently. Also has Save the Best for Last, which is a really powerful perk, but requires understanding the Obsession system. As cool as he is, probably not the best for starting right now.
The Hag - Of Flesh and Mud DLC. Can be insanely powerful if given time to set up. Struggles early game, but makes up for it in shear power late game. I wouldn't recommend her though, not for starting out. She has a really steep learning curve.
The Doctor - Spark of Madness DLC. Really fun to play as, but most people hate going against him. He has insane tracking potential and can stall the game for a long time. Likely candidate, but you need to really understand his add-ons to get the best from him.
The Cannibal - Leatherface Paragraph. Cheapest Killer, unreliable power. I wouldn't recommend if it wasn't for Barbecue & Chili. This perk both shows you Survivor auras and gives you extra Bloodpoints to level up. I'd recommend him for that reason alone.
The Nightmare - A Nightmare on Elm Street DLC. Powerful Killer, but a little hard to pick up due to how his power works, and he technically has two powers, snares and fake pallets, in addition to putting people to sleep and teleporting to gens. I'd wait a little on him.
The Pig - Saw DLC. Extremely reliant on RNG. Has stalling potential, but that potential relies on Survivors being altruistic, not doing gens while a trap is on someone, and that someone not getting it off first try. I wouldn't start with her.
The Clown - Curtain Call DLC. He has Bamboozle and Pop Goes the Weasel, both pretty nice perks. But there's nothing really great about his power unless you know EXACTLY how to use it. I wouldn't bother with him.
The Spirit - Shattered Bloodline DLC. Really powerful Killer, but not beginner friendly in the slightest. To play her, you need to understand how Survivors think. Wait a while before getting her.
The Legion - Darkness Among Us DLC. They exist. I find their weakness to be heavily exaggerated, but they're not the best. If you want Discordance, go for them, but I wouldn't call them great for starting.
The Plague - Demise of the Faithful DLC. She's in a weird place. She can bring Survivors into a one-hit stage, but if you're not good at hitting, they have no real reason to leave that phase, which takes her other, more powerful, form with ranged vomit out of the question. I wouldn't recommend her for starting out, but take a look at her down the road.
The Ghost Face - Ghost Face DLC. As fun and powerful as he is, his power is just unreliable. Understanding him can also be pretty tricky. Not recommended for starting out.
The Demogorgon - Stranger Things DLC. There is so much going on with its power that I can't recommend it to start with. Fun as hell to play, but just as complex.
The Oni - Cursed Bloodline DLC. Some people call him a worse Hillbilly, and they're right in some regards. But he has far better tracking, doesn't lose his power when hitting walls, has a much shorter charge time in Demon Mode for a one-hit by just holding M1 for a lunge, and just feels easier to handle. Understanding how he works can be a little complicated though.
The Deathslinger - Chains of Hate DLC. Only get him to start if you've played a lot of shooter games.

So I sent a ticket to DBD about a new chapter and well they responded with "send it to the forums to have all to see and discuss about" so I said sure why not, plus it would be a good way for the devs to see it too. So, Would it ever be possible for you guys to include some of the characters from until dawn? Like Sam and Mike as the survivors and Josh or Hannah as the killer. I think this would bring so many new people to dead by daylight and be such a huge thing. I would buy all the dlc that included those characters because I think it would be an awesome Idea. Think about this investment, try to get the license for Sam and them to use them is this great game to make it better. I really liked the game and to me it just seemed as if these characters would be a good fit for the survivors and killers into dbd. They already added a creature like the Demogorgon so them adding a Wendigo doesn't seem to out of the ordinary and the survivors, well you can't add all of them to the game but, adding Sam and Mike would be like adding Steve and Nancy. They would need to get a license for the game but I think it would ultimately be a great add to dbd. These are just my hopes and If anyone else out there agrees it would be awesome to work together to try and push Behaviour into adding these great characters.
You're not the first person to suggest this, and it's not entirely off the chopping block. Until Dawn is a pretty decent game and would make for a pretty nice addition to DBD.
Only issue I have with it is it being a Playstation exclusive. I really don't think the devs want another Bill debacle where they can't bring them to other versions for a few months (or years) while they battle Sony's licensing. Sony does not like sharing for some reason, and it would take a long time to get them to change their mind.
As cool as it would be, it probably won't happen for that exact reason.
-
Old version, no. I've seen the nightmares that they were. Especially with how people play now, the Killer would stand no chance.
But new modes, absolutely yes. As much as I love this game, playing the same thing over and over again does get repetitive.
-
All but one of my Adepts were done before the pipping system changed. Which was all of them.
Of that group, Leatherface gave me the hardest time. I only ever used their perks until I got the Adept, and got him to 37 or so before finishing it.
I've only done one after the changes. Plague. Technically, it was easier, at Level 20, but it sure as hell felt harder.
I gave up on Ghost Face after being JUST off twice in a row. Not bothering with Demogorgon, Oni or Deathslinger until they get the Adepts changed to 4k instead of Merciless.

Wait, you have some fancy and elegant font while we're stuck with Comic Sans?
Please, end our suffering.

You don't need a mori to Kill all 4 as spirit and Doc I did it without a mori
That is correct, but it still encourages the use of a Mori.
I was confident enough in my ability as Doctor to do it without a Mori, and won't do it when I get to Spirit either, but someone who isn't as confident in their ability as these Killers will likely bring a Mori to increase their chances of getting it done.
-
Not only is Doctor's archives active, but there is a bloodhunt going on right now.
Doctor is, and always has been, the single best Killer to farm bloodpoints due to the shear amount he gets from deviousness alone. Legion is the second best, but they don't really compare.
-
I used to be able to run the game at Ultra graphics with next to no trouble. Shortly after Dedicated Servers came out, I had to drop to Medium graphics to walk five feet, and even then, the start of the match forces me to stand around for up to a minute while I wait for the game to stop playing lag simulator.
While that could be my graphics card failing (at almost the exact same time, which just seems off, and only during a match), I know what isn't. Getting hit from half a mile away through a window or on the other side of a pallet. And then there are the times where I just inexplicably teleport a few feet from where I wanted to go. In the wrong direction.
Needless to say, I have not had good experience with Dedicated Servers.
-
Games are meant to be fun. Not having fun is a loss for me.
-
Other than the entire structure my life is built around being thrown all to hell due to school being shut down for another few weeks (maybe indefinitely, hard to say at this point), I'm doing about the same as always.
Social distancing is so easy for me because I am naturally anti-social, but I am still going insane (which is nothing new). I'm dealing with it by randomly texting my friend/distant cousin in the middle of the night with complete randomness that will slowly become more and more cursed because I have nothing better to do.
I've also been continuing my watching of old cartoons from before I was born because I still grew up on them. This pandemic has allowed me to watch the original X-Men cartoon, so I have plenty of things to do while I watch the world crumble around me.
So yeah. Doing fine.
-
Don't know if this counts, but it took me a good FOUR MONTHS before I realized how to fast vault.
And at that time I called myself a Feng Min main but couldn't use one of her perks because I was an idiot.
-
- Other than where the leg is, I see no difference.
- Yes. Please devs, make the Killers actually grab the handle.
- Sure.
- Just wish they had more of what Spirit does, and less stomping on the hatch.
- Could be cool, but probably too hard to set up.
- Like indiee said, not going to happen. The best we can do is Hag ripping out guts, Clown cutting off finger and Oni ripping out tongue. Would love Demi to eat the Survivor's head, but it just can't happen.
- I don't know about you, but that is exactly what Oni is to me. Seriously, he's a literal 7-foot tall, demonic samurai, fully clad in armor with a massive iron club specially designed to break your bones. If that's not terrifying, I don't know what is.
-
Oni. As someone who considers him my secondary main, I vote Oni.
Maybe this is just because I have no fps experience, but Deathslinger feels a little clunky to me. Don't get me wrong, I like him, but I find hunting people down and clobbering them as a demon-ogre-samurai much more fun.
-
I saw a few people I watched play it, but wasn't sure if I would enjoy it myself (I wasn't that big into horror). I happened to notice that it was free one day, and I haven't looked back since.
So, a combination of factors, but mostly it being free.

Bloodlust is a mechanic to allow killers to down survivors for free after a short amount of time chasing them. It's ridiculous how fast killers already are even without bloodlust.
This is what it currently looks like unless it was changed recently.
Tier 1 - 15 seconds +0.2m/s
Tier 2 - 30 seconds +0.4m/s
Tier 3 - 45 seconds +0.6m/s
This is what it should look like (at best) if we're talking about trying to make it balanced instead of completely removing it.
Tier 1 - 20 seconds +0.1m/s
Tier 2 - 40 seconds +0.2m/s
Tier 3 - 60 seconds +0.3m/s
Because punishing a survivor for successfully looping a killer who is already naturally faster than them isn't fair. Some killers already have built in abilities that can completely trap survivors or allow them to catch up with even more increased movement speed or teleports!
Hooks respawn.. So why can't pallets? Survivors waste pallets all the time too even at rank 1 they throw all of them down and next thing you know once all gens are done there is not 1 pallet left on the map. Cause the killer just pauses for 1 second to break it then continues chasing... And catches up with little effort due to bloodlust lmao.
Lunges... Hmm how many movement speed buffs does the killer really need when they are already faster than survivors? Killers lunge at me ALL the time. Here's an even better example actually.. When I play killer, if I miss a lunge attack I don't care. Cause it doesn't punish me AT ALL. If it does then I hardly notice anything that's how underwhelming it is.
I can see that work was already put into the game to have lunges there in the first place so at least make lunges balanced a bit so the killer can't spam them and constantly get a movement buff without consequence.
Increase the stun time cause it really doesn't exist and I don't care what dbd wiki says... It's non existent. Needs to actually be noticeable.
Maybe put a cooldown on it too like 15 seconds before you can lunge again.
Insidious should still be removed from the game.
"BUT campers still gonna camp anyways" is no excuse to keep it. It's a tool used by campers to camp without consequences.
If you remove insidious then you remove that ability for leatherfaces to stand completely still with no terror radius around the corner and instantly down both survivors.. and I don't care what anyone says about "people will still camp".
Sure they will but I'm sure a lot less people will camp if insidious didn't exist and if they did, at least survivors are more wary about it. It's still 1 more step towards making camping a completely useless strategy.
That alone will make the game more fun for both sides.
About the doctor, I dunno what to say. I'd love the see him get completely removed from the game cause he is the most unfun killer to play against and isn't balanced at all.
But I'd at least settle for a huge nerf that will make every doctor main cry and hoping they play nurse instead or some other killer that actually demands some amount of effort to be put into the game.
You see, this is a discussion.
I could agree with your proposed bloodlust changes. Your reasoning is off, but your changes could work.
Hooks respawn because, without moris, they are the only way for Killers to do their job. There was once a time when they didn't. You know what happened? Survivors brought Saboteur and broke EVERY SINGLE ONE, except in the basement. The Killer literally had no chance.
Hooks and Pallets are not equal. One of them is essential to their side. The other should be used as a last resort.
A cooldown on lunging is a big no. Fix hitboxes so you can't be lunged at and hit from five miles away, then we can truly discuss whether lunging is an actual issue.
Conveniently skipped over (or missed by accident) the item changes.
We are still in agreement over Insidious, I think we can drop it.
The most unfun Killer to go against is Freddy, and the vast majority of people will probably agree with that. His power is always active, he can tremendously slow you down or even completely trick you with fake pallets (where Doctor's fake pallets disappear as you approach, his don't until you try to drop them), he can teleport to generators, and you have very little time to get away, and you can't tell where he is because the lullaby is pathetic.
Doctor does need a few changes because, admittedly, he can be really annoying to deal with. But removing or drastically nerfing Doctor will just mean more Spirits and more Hillbillies, because they will be the only Killers that can truly compete. Do you really want that? Do you really have THAT much of an issue against Doctor that you'd be willing to face a Killer who you can't tell what they're doing before they're right in your face and a Killer that can catch up to you in less than a second and instantly down you instead of a Killer who can be completely negated by lockers?

You literally just explained why this stuff is already in the game. Everyone knows why. That doesn't mean it's the right decision to permanently keep everything how it currently is (unbalanced).
It just seems like you are disagreeing with literally everything on this list for the sake of being disagreeable.
Disagreeing for the sake of being disagreeable? You're dealing with me on a good day. Since it is now clear that you are actually being serious, let us discuss how we could change your list a tad and make it balanced. For the sake of it, I will ignore the purely cosmetic changes (because those have no influence on balance) and the two items (since you claim to have been joking with them).
Completely remove bloodlust from the game.
Like I said, chases would continue way too long. In the current "meta" (aka, do your objective as efficiently as possible), more people would complain about gen speeds than they already do (when the issue there is actually large maps, but I digress). But, I could see turning it down a bit. How often do you really reach Tier 2 anyway? My suggestion would be to keep Tier 1, but slightly lower the speed.
Pallets respawn after 3 minutes.
Like I also said, this would make pallets more expendable. I see no way to balance this unless Killers recovered from the stuns faster or broke them faster, and then you would have issues with Enduring and Brutal Strength.
The dark mist appears to be thicker and can be stacked higher than before to allow for more stealthier game play (for both killer and survivor).
Like I said, I agreed with you, but maybe not too drastic, because, again, there are those on both sides who could pose serious problems.
Killers have cooldown on lunge. Missed lunge attacks now stun the killer for significantly longer than normal missed attacks.
They already do. How long do you want the cooldown? A minute? What I would do instead is not speed up slower Killers to the base speed like it currently does.
Remove the doctor from the game.
Look, I get it. You don't like going against the Doctor. He's a powerful Killer that can actually compete. But guess what. He's not overpowered like Omega Blink Nurse was or Iridescent Head Huntress currently is. When you hear his terror radius, or, better yet, him charging his power up, go for a locker. Seriously. If there are none around, get as far as you can before he activates it. There, you just created distance.
You want to remove Doctor, let's talk about removing Decisive Strike, Adrenaline, NOED, Iridescent Head and Borrowed Time first.
Revert the most recent item nerfs.
Like I said, toolboxes did gens WAY too fast. If we slowed them down a little, removed the keeping of items again, and reversed the Sabotage changes, they would be fine.
Remove insidious from the game.
Like I also said, I agree with you that it should be removed, but a camper will camp with or without it.
Looks like that's it. Call this aggressive disagreement all you want. I am trying to look at things through both sides, not just a very clear, Survivor biased point of view. And I can already see you calling me a biased Killer main who has never truly touched Survivor and wouldn't understand. But let me ask you something. If I truly were this, would my Survivors look like this?
Yes, my Killers do have a higher average level, but that's largely because I can't find Survivor games after 9:00, which is when I usually play because life hates me.
You want to do some ACTUAL balance changes, here's some ideas.
- FIX THE SOUNDS
- Make Deathslinger's terror radius louder, because right now, it's ridiculous.
- Make Ghost Face's reveal actually reliable.
- Have Demogorgon not be heard from the other side of the map while not teleporting (even then, that should be a regional noise, not a mapwide noise).
- Rework the Iridescent Head so it actually takes skill (insta-down only from a certain distance).
- Increase Sabo times. You should not be able to Sabotage before a Killer recovers from a hit.
- Reduce how much Survivors vomit against Plague (it's both annoying to listen to and her Black Incense add-on makes it ridiculous).
- Reduce the amount of blood orbs No Mither gives Oni, or completely change how the Broken status effect works with Oni.
There. More balanced on both sides. Let's discuss how these would work, or we could disagree for the sake of disagreeing. Your move.

No killer will be based around a real person. Imagine Ted Bundy being a playable character. It won't happen.
Clown is heavily based on John Wayne Gacy.
The exact people will never be in the game, but that doesn't mean Killers can't be influenced by them.
-
I cannot tell if this is serious or not, but just in case.
Completely remove bloodlust from the game.
Bloodlust was added as a way to end loops fast, because chases were lasting too long. It forces Survivors to make decisions much quicker.
Pallets respawn after 3 minutes.
Dropping pallets should be a serious decision. Having them respawn at all will make them far more expendable.
The dark mist appears to be thicker and can be stacked higher than before to allow for more stealthier game play (for both killer and survivor).
I approve of this, being a mostly stealth-based Survivor myself. But, Claudette is already a pain to find sometimes, and don't get me started of Ghost Face being more annoying to reveal than usual.
Random weather such as rain or snow.
Meh, not necessary. Would be cool, but not necessary.
Random objects such as potatoes now spawn on the map survivors can pick up and throw at the killers face, having little to no effect but serves a comedic purpose.
Could be fun, but no one would use them if they actually wanted to survive.
Make the spirit not go AAaaAAaaAAaaAAaa everytime she is hit by a pallet.
How do you want her to sound? Like she's in pain when she gets hit? Oh... wait. That's exactly what she sounds like.
Give survivors dance emote.
Oh, great. While I would love more emotes, this one can go to the scrap heap. Let me flip the Killer off with Ash anyday.
Killers have cooldown on lunge. Missed lunge attacks now stun the killer for significantly longer than normal missed attacks.
They already do. I know you probably don't notice, but a missed lunge can be pretty detrimental.
Remove the doctor from the game.
Been waiting for my own chance to use this.
Revert the most recent item nerfs.
You literally get to keep your item even when it runs out of charges now. Insta-heals were way to ridiculous, and toolboxes were so fast. I know because I almost always brought a toolbox with me.
Shrine of secrets does not include perks you have already unlocked.
That would require EVERY player to have a different Shrine of Secrets. If you don't like the perks, don't buy them.
Remove insidious from the game.
Agreed, but a camper will camp even if they can't surprise anyone else. Also, Kindred completely nullifies Insidious.
Prestige 3 rewards clothes that aren't ugly.
Prestige 3 unlocks a bloody face. If you don't like the rest of it, don't wear it.
New item : pepperspray. Spray in killers face to stun them for 5 seconds and significantly blur their vision for 1 minute.
While Survivors do need new items, this ain't it.
New item : energy drink. This item increases survivor movement speed. All exhaustion perks can be used repeatedly and will ignore the exhaustion effect for 1 minute.
No.
New survivor : Will Smith
Funny story, the first thing I thought of when seeing Adam for the first time was "Will Smith? They got Will Smith?" Maybe that's why I like him so much (yes, they look different, but it was the first thing my mind went to).
Make Nea, Meg, and Quentin not look like crackheads anymore
Quentin, yes. Meg, I don't see why people have an issue with her face. Looks normal to me. And part of Nea's charm is her ugliness.
-
Mushwin, you're killing us Americans.
In all seriousness, I would rather have pineapple on pizza because I can't handle the taste of ranch. That's not saying it's right, because it is morally wrong on so many levels, but it's better than the alternative.
-
For Survivors, I'd like to see Adam (mostly because I never see him and would love him to be more used) and one of the originals. To be even (1 male and 1 female like it has been), Meg. She also has terrible base lore. As much as I love Min, I don't want to hear the Observer butcher her name like he did with Rin Yamaoka (Rihn Yah-mah-oak-ah is not right. I simple google search shows that it is Rene Yah-mow-kah).
For Killers, I would like to see how they handle Legion. I would also like either Huntress or Oni (but again, the Observer can't pronounce Yamaoka, and he also failed to say Kazan right, saying Kuh-zan instead of Kah-zahn, but I digress)
-
To this day, the Pig remains the only Killer to make me scream out loud. My Spine Chill went off while I was opening the Exit Gate, so I ran, then I started walking to break the scratch marks. I do that for about ten seconds and decide to look behind me. She was literally two feet away from me.
The others might make me jump slightly (mostly Hag and Myers), but that was the only time it truly got me.
-
It's a VERY close call between Nea and Quentin for me. Nea edges out by a fraction of a percent with her hair.

Some of them absolutely hate the Entity. And they weren't all murderers before being found. I'll give a brief rundown of them.
Evan MacMillan/Trapper was heavily tortured into doing the Entity's bidding. Heavy dislike.
Philip Ojomo/Wraith has weird glowing eyes. The current theory is that he doesn't see the Survivors, but rather his old boss, Azarov, who used him to make people "disappear." Probably been tortured a bit too.
Max Thompson Jr./Hillbilly also has glowing eyes and likely sees his abusive parents. He's also just straight up feral and likely enjoys killing.
Sally Smithson/Nurse is implied to have been suffocated by that pillowcase. Her power also puts her through immense pain. Most likely hates the Entity.
Michael Myers/Shape is the literal embodiment of evil. He enjoys what he does, which is clear through his plain appearance.
Lisa Sherwood/Hag was probably tortured very heavily. Even Benedict Baker says this "Her very presence speaks of endless torture similar to mine. I wonder - did she refuse the entity's calling until broken or did she wish for this?"
Herman Carter/Doctor is an insane psychopath. Any chance he can get to show his superiority is one he will take. At the same time, he was tortured by that headgear.
Anna/Huntress kills for survival and has the mind of a child. She probably doesn't even realize she's being used.
Leatherface/Cannibal kills because he was forced to. He's afraid of the Entity like he was his family.
Freddy Krueger/Nightmare was a monster even before turning into the dream demon he is (our version is the 2010 version, where he was a pedophile). Believe me, he enjoys this.
Amanda Young/Pig sees this as John Kramer passing her off to a stronger master. She might not have enjoyed it initially, but this is all a game to her. The Survivors don't deserve to live.
Kenneth Chase/Clown is another psychopath who enjoys what he does.
Rin Yamaoka/Spirit never actually killed anyone. She also has those glowy eyes, and she likely sees the Survivors as her father. You know, the man who chopped her into pieces. She is an onryō, sustained only on her rage. She hates everything, and even the Entity has a hard time controlling her.
The Legion is a difficult one. All four are messed up in the head a little, but they only killed the janitor in self-defense (technically). Yet, they don't have any horrible defects like Evan's hooks or Lisa's... everything. This implies that they enjoy killing.
Adiris/Plague is the most innocent of the Killers. She even cut off pieces of her body to save a dying woman. To her, the Entity is a god. She was dying, and it found her. She would literally do ANYTHING to appease her gods, even kill.
Danny Johnson/Ghost Face is another complete psychopath, and the devs themselves have said that he has an incredible connection to the Entity, shown by his floating cloth.
The Demogorgon is just hungry.
Kazan Yamaoka/Oni is another bloodthirsty psychopath with a messed up sense of honor. The Entity saved him from death, and his honor would keep him in check.
Caleb Quinn/Deathslinger has those glowy eyes, and is the one that started the glowy eye theory. We have definitive proof, in his backstory, that he sees the people who wronged him because he was Irish instead of the Survivors. I don't know about you, but I would enjoy putting those people through endless torment.
Hope this explains their feelings.
As for if they disobey the Entity... We call that being turned into an empty husk and thrown into the Void for eternity.
-
If you willingly DC because "you aren't having fun", you deserve the punishment. Not only do you not get any points, but you ruin the game for 4 other people.
If you DC because of an actual emergency in real life, the penalty means nothing. Go do what you need to do.
If you crash, the time is barely, if at all, noticeable. By the time you load back in, it should be over.
If you crash every other match... I would get your internet or router checked. Happened to me a while back due to faulty wiring.

Yui and Oni's lore are on point and their cosmetics are so cool! How did the devs go form that to the recent DLC release. Not that I am not appreciative of their work, I just wish that it did not seem like it was thrown together with no rhyme nor reason.
Zarina is plain and her lore mixed with Deathslingers makes no sense? I don't even see how they would make cosmetics for her and deathslinger to make them want to be played.
I think the map could have been an aquarium theme. The survivor could have been a marine biologist/diver and the killer could have been a mutant sea creature that stole the diver's/marine biologist's harpoon, who had been effected by radiation or nuclear waste. Somehow incorporating humanitarianism like they did with Zarina but with the diver's place of employment (the aquarium) being built near a nuclear waste facility/plant/ etc.
Zarina's lore being mixed with Caleb's actually makes perfect sense if you think about it. Zarina's entire role is digging through the lies to discover what is true and bringing that truth to the light. Something like the Mad Mick Massacre would get her interested and want to dig deeper.
You're right about one thing though. Zarina is pretty bland. The only stand-out thing from her is that she's Middle Eastern. Which, admittedly, I did want to see for a while, but in an actually interesting character.

i'm an idiot, can anyone explain what the OP reffers, I play spirit a lot but never understood that
Every now and then, Spirit will sort of glitch out. This removes her red stain and removes her aura for about a second or two. This can make her hard to predict.

I have no real interest in the rift. I get what I get through the challenges I can complete, but I have my elephant clown. Nothing else holds any sway over me. Unless something phenomenal comes with the next rift, I'll largely ignore it.
Give me the Archives, and we're good.

It's called a key. If the hatch couldn't be re-opened, what is the point of the key? The whole thing about keys is that they OPEN THE HATCH!
Also, the quests are easy? Sure, some of them are pretty braindead, but escaping through the hatch is pretty spotty. Oh, and by the way, you have to do it... WITH A KEY! TWICE! (sorry, that challenge really irritated me)

Ok that's cool and all but are any of the survivors left handed??!
I mean, technically Ash is, and he can have a skin where his right hand is useless (literally made of wood or a literal puppet), but he still uses his right hand due to the limitations of Survivor models.
-
Spirit and Oni. Not only are they more fun than Clown (I find Legion fun though, but Oni more so. Spirit is somewhere around there), but they are leagues stronger (something Legion does lack)
-
They have Min. Do you not realize how sensitive China is? They censor literally ANYTHING that portrays them in a negative light. Having the only Chinese character in the game be subject to constant torture, dying over and over, is anything BUT a positive light. Min is a complete stereotype as well, the Chinese girl with a gaming addiction, a serious problem that China faces (not as serious as what's going on now, but that's a massive worm on a hook just waiting for me to bite, so we'll not go there). Yes, they changed Doctor from Chinese Mu Yi to African American Herman Carter, but that's largely due to him being based off of an actual nutjob named Yang Yongxin that operates in China.
Zarina is another touchy subject. Yes, she is American (whether or not she was born in America or Lebanon is never mentioned, just that she grew up in America), but she's still Middle Eastern, an ethnicity that has a lot of undeserved stigma due to freakshow organizations who claim to speak for all of them. And yet, here we are.
Let BHVR add who they want to add. If they want to add a Native American Survivor, they will. If they want to add a Greek Survivor, they will. If they wan't to add an Israeli Survivor, they will. If they want to add an Australian Survivor, they will. If they want to add an Indian Survivor, they will. If they want to add a literal alien Survivor, with green, blue, or even pink skin with yellow polka dots and red stripes, they will. Don't force them into making a character just to fit your agenda so you can feel authenticated.

Literally no one pronounces her name right, not even the devs.
I know, and it annoys me to no end. Not that I have room to speak, since it turns out I've been pronouncing it wrong for a while too (though more correct than most people). I had to ask one of my friends (native-born Taiwanese, where they speak a dialect of Chinese, like how Brazil speaks a dialect of Portuguese, America speaks a dialect of English, etc.) how to pronounce it. He described it as "Foong Min" when he wrote it down for me, not "Fayng Mihn" or "Fahng Mene."
At least they did her Adept achievement right as "Adept Min" is using her proper name. Of course, they forgot about this later on, but what can you do?

One last question then: Why doesn't Oni have white eyes? His whole story is about vengeance against those that would slight him (whether they meant to or not...)
Oni was only truly vengeful against the one noble that called him Oni-Yamaoka. Everyone else he killed wasn't for revenge, but for his messed-up sense of honor, or out of spite if they called him Oni-Yamaoka, not vengeance.
-
It is not speculation. Feng Min is as Chinese a name as you can get (if people would pronounce it right), and the righting on her shirt is in Chinese.
Like Fichite said, cosmetics have nothing to do with a character's nationality. Susie and Ace have a Chinese skin. Does that make them Chinese? No.
And even if they did, Min has TWO cosmetics based on the Chinese New Year, the full set of which is a Qipao, which "is often seen as the quintessential Chinese national dress" according to differencebetween.net. (Sorry if this seems hostile, Min is my second favorite Survivor and I tend to get protective of things I like).

There are stories that are told about one Killer. So dangerous is this Killer, that the Entity keeps it locked up until it feels like it's time.
Few have ever seen this super powerful Killer. It stands among the biggest of the Killers, and is known to use its size to pounce on pallets. I have seen it but three times (maybe a little more, but not much), and the sight of it is one to be feared. You will hear this beast before you see it. It's roar echoes throughout the trials as it shifts from dimension to dimension.
Some call it a monster, others call it a true hunter. But not me. I call it... the Demogorgon.
Jokes aside, seriously. Do people even play it?

I just found something for Caleb's lore. In the description for his uncommon outfits, it says:
"After being detained for fifteen years, the prison warden paid him a visit, offering to expedite its release. There was a catch: he would have to fill the prison."
This means that his original sentence was actually longer than 15 years, but the deal with the warden shortened it, meaning that the former isn't actually correct. This means that Caleb was sentenced in 1860, was released early in 1875, worked for the warden for 6 years before realizing he was being double crossed and heading back and killing him, placing Caleb perfectly in 1881.
Found it. Couldn't get on for a little bit due to life, but I found it. Thanks.
