Totally irrelevant to the SC buff. No red herrings please.Tru3Lemon said:@Tzeentchling9 said:

Feel free to provide evidence to this claim.
yeah the nerf of SWF its that if 1 of them dies the cannot see what perks addons and offering from the killer
feel free to see the patch notes
Already refuted. The "downside" in no way is equal to the buff since there is no sacrifice in healing speed when you heal yourself now, while still retaining the upsides of independent healing.Tru3Lemon said:@Unit said:

As of the building self care makes healing others slower than healing yourself
yep someone did read the patch

Sure, then you have two people not working on gens...NoShinyPony said:@Tzeentchling9 said:

Indeed. It makes Self Care mandatory when there are actually a lot of other options too. When I P3ed Bill, it actually took me ages to get SC again. I used Botany and Pharmacy instead and it greatly improved my gameplay imo. Taking hits actually mattered, but between Botany's efficiency and the inbuilt efficiency of the green medkit, you actually get two full heals out of it.White_Owl said:@Tzeentchling9 said:
I don't understand why people keep using this stupid SWF vs Solo excuse when the buff greatly improves SWF efficiency as well.It actually screwes over solo survivors who don't use it, since they'll probably (considering how many use SC) be healed slower regardless. I'd hate to feel SC being mandatory.
Sure, there were some games where the Killer had Franklin's or the match dragged on so long I needed more than 2 self heals, but overall it was vast improvement in gameplay experience. A whole lot less of, "Well, I got hit, time to go hold M1." -
Why would you bother wasting your time healing a team mate when they can heal themselves just as fast? Leaving you time to rush gens?Unit said:

That is a fundamental problem with this change. It takes the decision making apect of heals(Heal self slower or waste teammate's time for faster heals) and throws it right out the window. It will be always correct to heal yourself! -

Much better killers.
-
Because the PTB would be over by the time Sony/Microsoft approved changes to the game.
-
So it is wrong to have a meaningful penalty for infinite, unaided heals?
-
They have fixed SB and the Add-on separately in the PTB, but not both together yet.
Lol "exploit" and "cheating" though -
Over/under on that bug still being in place when the patch launches? LMAO
-
The savefile that the PTB uses is usually a couple weeks old iirc.
-
How recently did you get those perks/cosmetics? Because the PTB uses an older save file than the live version.

I actually think the SC change can help with the solo and swf thing. Solos are able to heal themselves rather than relying on teammates, and swfs lose 25% healing speed towards each other. I still don't think it's bad enough for survivors to be able to fully heal during a chase unless the killer is incompetent.
No, now you have SWF being more efficient by healing themselves 25% faster while the rest focus on gens. -
Because there is no difference between you healing yourself or someone else with SC healing you now. So with SC you get all the benefits of healing yourself(not chasing other Survivors, not grouping up, not wasting time that could be on gens, etc) and there is no drawback in speed anymore.antgnstea said:
So I am misunderstanding the situation. I thought you could heal others 100% speed before and now if you run SC it is 75%. Also if you had med kit you could heal others even faster and now it is still 75% speed. So how that is a buff “exactly” still having problem here.Tzeentchling9 said:
Why use a medkit when they halved the penalty on the speed of your infinite heals?antgnstea said:How is that a buff even healing speed on others got decreased. You can’t use med kits for the good anymore. So pretty much it’s better not use SC. That’s a plain simple nerf.
Exactly thisJarkorTheBurninator said:If I'm understanding this change, it isn't good.
It's poorly designed because it punishes your team-mates if they DON'T run Self Care whilst giving a negligible downside to the person running it.
It feels fine where it is right now - it's slow enough that it takes considerable time investment whilst making getting healed by others more appealing. This change will just make it feel mandatory and doesn't promote team-play.

I understand that it is just being tested. That's fine and I appreciate things getting tested. I'm saying intial reaction is that it is not a good change, followed up with confusion as to why this is being tested when it seems like SC is in a good place now. Especially when lots of other things could use some changes to test(DS).
-
Thank for you clarifying, but my point still stands. SC is the most widely used perk and this change only makes it better. Everyone will continue to use self care and heal themselves, making the detriment pointless and the speed increase a straight buff.not_Queen said:This is a change that's being TESTED. It isn't guarantee it will go live with 2.5.0
Self Care on the live version
50% healing speed for Self-Caring action
100% speed for healing othersSelf Care as a TEST on the PTB
75% healing speed for Self-Caring action
75% healing speed for healing others.I hope this helped you understand the changes better.

Feel free to give us feedback about it! -
Spirit became good when she got the buffs that Killers realized she needed and were mocked for calling out for in "the first two hours of the PTB."

Expect BM when using legit strats with plenty of counters. Gotcha. Wouldn't expect any less from Survivor mains.Poweas said:@Tzeentchling9 said:

My ACTUAL point is, don't get salty if you get ran around and teabagged. When you've camped and you're tunnelling with NOED. Sometimes entitled killer mains are as bad as entitled survivor mains.

Some news about SWF getting balanced would be pretty positive and refreshing.
-
Which is part of the issue since those players are cheesing SWF to play against him, a less experienced competitor.fcc2014 said:@eighttailedfox in no way am i insulting you. I just want to point out that at a rank 16 survivor and a rank 10 killer you probably don't have the experience and or knowledge of the map layout most of your competition does.

Want less toxic WGLF plays? Now that we have "Safe Unhook" points event, change WGLF to gain tokens on that. EZ
-
Game isn't being held hostage and you even have an out in the hatch. What is being exploited? You're going to die? So what? Is hard camping a hook an exploit too then?
-
Keep in mind that if you trigger an anti-cheat adjusting the files like that, you will not be helped.

I got two purple flashlights from a single chest last week. It was pretty hilarious.

..

That is why there are caps in the categories though. So players have to participate in multiple aspects of the match.
-
I'm fine with the DS trolls having a cap on a BP category for not playing the rest of the game. Thanks.

Or it could be that Sloppy Butcher is an incredibly useful perk for M1 killers without any map pressure. *thinking*PinkEricka said:
@Keene_Kills It’s an exploit when they’re purposefully using it to their advantage knowing the bug is there.Keene_Kills said:The killer doesn't see this continual blood geyser... at least I haven't seen it in the trial when survivors brought it up afterwards. I get the same response when playing survivor and experiencing it and discussing it with the Wraith I was up against. Certainly not an "exploit." That being said, it is fairly annoying and needs dev attention.
Frame rates dropping equals lag, lag that equals to unfair hits. -
The way licensing works is you go up to another company and tell them, "Hey, I have this great idea to use this character you own, it will make lots of money and you can get a cut of it."
Now imagine going up to a company and saying, "Hey, I have this great idea to use this character you own, but it won't make any money and there is no benefit to you for letting me use your property."
Guess which person gets to use the company's character. -
"Hatch is fine, just slug the third Survivor."
"HE'S SLUGGING!!! WAAAAAAH!" -
Because you don't want to get banned?
Just run No Mither if it's such an issue for you. -
Quit being the adoring brown-noser. I know full well what the devs are doing and I absolutely love the way the map looks. However, the fact of the matter is that gameplay balance on maps can not be ignored.OrionsFury4789 said:You all should just be happy that they are releasing new content at all and actually listening to the ideas from the fan base to create it. @not_Queen I apologize for their ungrateful comments, me and plenty of others love the new map and the fact that you guys are working hard to improve everything, release content , and make dedicated servers. Not many companies care about their base the way you do and I appreciate it! -

No, you can't drop the Survivor during the animation. That is why flashlight saves and pallet saves have to use such precise timing.SmokePotion said:@Tzeentchling9 said:

Such a tragedy that the LOL button was removed.

I fear the Trapper way more than the Clown if that tells you anything. The travel time of the bottles is way too slow and the distortion is pointless. I really like that idea of the red being removed while you are drugged. That is a great idea.

Because SWF gives all the aura reading that Survivors ever need.
That being said, Bond is incredibly underrated by Survivors. I've been running it instead of Self Care and the amount of information it can provide by paying attention to the behavior of other Survivors nearby is staggering. -
