Rush gens.
Play around BBQ.
Break LoS in chase. Running around the waist high junk on Autohaven means nothing to a Nurse. Turn blinks into a guessing game as much as you can. Move unpredictably. Iron Will helps ALOT.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA. The biased towards survivors having all the means to their survival or disposal remains at large. Ya, healing sure does blow! Wouldn't want survivors to take more risk and fail more often at the expense of their own mistakes.
The part where I lose any sympathy to Survivors whining about heal is that they have MANY answers to killers trying to slow it down. Bond, Medkits, Botany, We'll Make It, Autodidact, Adrenaline, etc. If Survivors would change up their meta from four "chase me daddy" perks to more rounded builds, then a Thanataphobia getting a buff wouldn't be a problem.
I still fall by my previous statement though. Thanataphobia should only effect gen times, but with values that matter. Like 8/16/24/32.

The PTB survey just dropped and they want to know how we feel about the increase to Thanataphobia values.

Exactly, that's why I think this is an unnecessary "nerf". If people would give up on the chase perks and used healing perks (something I personally do) this wouldnt be a problem.
Shake up the meta?!?!?! *Gasp*
-
Where is this decision coming from actually? Where is the massive feedback against this? I don't recall much Survivor whining about it on this forum or the steam forums(except with Legion, but they are always complaining about Legion). They didn't do the PTB feedback survey either.
Is Reddit just on fire about a Thanataphobia buff?
-
Killers too strong! Nerf Thanataphobia and Fire Up!
-
7 seconds too strong. Confirmed by the devs.
Honestly, they are probably too afraid of Sloppy+Thana becoming meta. Especially with all the griping from Survivors about Sloppy Butcher Legions. They should just make Thanataphobia ONLY work on gen speeds and crank up the values. That would keep it from making Heals take too long with Sloppy and give killers a tool against the current, "Don't heal, rush gens, ADRENAWIN!" Survivor meta.
-
They just made the exposed and haste available at all levels. Nothing about how the perks worked changed.

What?
A bandaid fix perk from the Legion that stop the Survivor wiggling if you hit someone while carrying them.
-
There is nothing wrong with taking a break. The new DLC will be out in a couple weeks to spice things up. Find something else to play until everyone settles in with the new killer.
-
Balance for SWF
-
I mean these guys go down in 5 seconds, waste pallets, can't even loop properly and then have the audacity to say the killer is bad.
They also DC when a Nurse is camping the basement, amiright?
-
Best game I've ever had with Hag was with Waterlogged Shoe and Scarred Hand addons, with the offering for Lery's map.
Waterlogged shoe makes the Hag a little faster and Survivors a little slower when near traps. Scarred Hand gives the traps collision. However, both prevent the Hag from teleporting.
It was hilarious. Trap a bunch of tight corridors/doors and chase survivors toward them. Trap pops, they cant pass by it, and hit them down. Requires some pretty rare addons and a map offering, but its hilarious.
-
Sounds like a ranking problem.
-
SWF Balanced.
-
Bait the pallet hit during Frenzy. That shuts them down pretty hard.
-
It was literally so fast I actually blinked and missed it. I had to go back and watch the recording to see what actually happened. I wasn't even sure if my character on the HUD even had a moment off the Hooked state, but it does, for like a 10th of a second.
-
Huntress. Certain maps and decent Survivors completely destroy her.

OoS works on wraith/Crouched Pig? Feelsbadman I think it doesn't work on EW1 myers
Correct, but only because EW1 Myers specifies being immune to detection perks.

Yes, it just hides TR, I wouldn't consider OoS a counter tho since the killer basically can see you I BELIEVE (never encountered tinker with OoS)
Yeah, the killer should be able to see you because there isn't a TR canceling the perk. Just like a cloaked Wraith or crouched Pig.
-
I have the opposite problem. Survivors I unhook run to the moon to heal. Even when the Killer is quite obviously on the other side of the map chasing someone.
I understand moving away from the hook for a bit of cover, but running to a tree against the opposite wall of the map is just unnecessary.

Interesting point about killers. Same price for cosmetics as survivors but as killer only see them at first few seconds of match, so bit of a con really
You don't get to see the full aspect of cosmetics in FPSs either. It's not about seeing yourself look good, it's making sure others know you look good.
-
I do unless there is a cosmetic I really want. I try to go for the 2700 shard perks though. 2000 for 150k is lame.
-
They are testing against the new Survivor stuff.
-
PTB is always like this. No incentive to test things and the thing to test is the Killer. You are better off trying to get a KYF together.

Too long. We already see 3-4k in most matches with a 30-40% survival rate. Pushing the survivors into a 2 minute period of either hide and seek or trying to work within half the map will drop that even more. Imagine Nurse, Billy, Spirit, or Legion with this perk. It will be nuts.
As for the stealthy part, stealth is a joke now days with all the aura perks. Add in her own perk of making everyone scream...Seriously, put this perk on Doc and forget stealth.
Hell, this perk might just be the Freddy fix.
Or just gen rush the other four gens initially since killers still can't be in multiple places at once.
-
How long does the TR transfer perk last at tier 3?
-
Good. Much longer than I expected. Might be ok.
-
@Delfador said:
Yeah guys I kinda understand it but if another survivor alerts crows, I won't be able to hear them.
I was using this on my spirit and it really gave me good amount of information and allowed me to know nearby survivors. The survivor I am chasing will alert the crows and put the perk in a constant timer, not giving me a chance to know whether there are other survivors nearby.
I guess I won't be able to use it now if the change is as bad as I expect it to be.
Fair enough, but I do think it's supposed to be a QoL change. Maybe provide feedback from the PTB if you feel that is too long. Maybe the devs could drop it to a 3 second cooldown.
-
DBD Players: "DEVS, DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE GRIND!!!!"
Also DBD Players: "What's the point of perk tiers if they are all useful?"
-
I think it's more so your eardrums aren't destroyed when a Survivor runs past a group of two or three birds.
-
I've used it plenty. Having it not trigger because the chase randomly dropped was devastating.
That is why STBFL was so bad when it was initially changed before the current iteration. It relied on consistent chase.
-
@PiiFree Or just the killer choosing to go around the killer shack when you went through it was enough to "break" the chase and you'd be boned.
-
To be fair, Pig is kind of forgettable, unfortunately.

I am not sure, balanced landing opens up many possibilities. No way lithe can be better than balanced landing imo.
It is a great perk though, now I can use it whenever I want. Reaching exit gates, saving teammates, gaining distance and making the killer lose my track etc.
Don't get me wrong, Balanced Landing is amazing. It's really rough on some maps though. I've been running Dead Hard and Balanced Landing, but Lithe might replace Dead Hard with this change though.
-
It looks to me like the change is that the Exposed at 3 tokens and the Kills at 5 are available at all tiers and the speed boost is the difference between tiers.
So no difference for Tier 3, but Tiers 1 and 2 make full use of the perk now.
-
@Swiftblade131 said:
What do you guys think of the ruin changes?
The change is the same as the last NoED change. No difference at tier 3, but now more useful at tiers 1 and 2.

This is the same case for survivors who saved it on the pre-rework version...
Except Killers have a chance with the current DS even if the Survivor saved it, either with dribbling or the required struggle percentage. No chance at all for the killer with the new DS if the Survivor can crawl to the gate within 60 seconds.
-
Chase mechanics really suck, so this is probably a needed change. However, this does kind of rocket Lithe the best exhaustion perk position imo.
-
Because changing your playstyle to face different killers is too hard for some people(see also: Nurse/Spirit).

That is from last week.
Yeah, this week is Adrenaline, Bamboozle, Agitation, and something else I can't remember because it's not good iirc.
-
It would be cool if it was today so the devs could showcase all the streamers they have at HQ playing it, but I think tomorrow is more likely.
-
Yes. That has cost me the hit on many pallets.
It happens when I'm playing Survivor too, especially when trying to unhook. I'll hold M1, but my character won't do anything, so I'll release M1 and the game seems to think I just tapped M1. So it will look like I'm trolling the hooked Survivor and cost precious time going for another attempt to unhook.
-
The Plague will start to menace over the fallen Survivor, then they will immediately fall limp, accompanied by the sound of a dong.
You know, just like every other Mori, these days.

Honestly I wish they'd just bring back the old % increase values, where you could get up to 200% BP; then if they added this requirement it'd balance out the higher % value
Where the Survivor ques were god awful because no one wanted to play killer and everyone just farmed unhooks for stacks? Yeah, no.

the only problem with tunneling is that it doesn't have a counter, with the next patch it will get one.
this is the reason why people are trying to get rid of it. Nobody likes uncounterable mechanics.
Except it is very counterable. BT, We'll Make It, and bodyblocking all counter it.
