This is a casual warning to not play survivor during the event. Killers are sweating profusely during event even when 5 event offerings are using. The first two matches I played were against Onis and they would hook, pretend to leave, and then come right back and tunneled people off the hook. Also slugged everyone.
Killers are not punished for this. It is very easy to do this and they still get 30K+ while survivors all get less than 10K.
Dear BHVR, balance your game and make it a level playing field so both survivors and killers have equal chances of winning and getting equal amount of bloodpoints. One person shouldn't have the ability to deny bloodpoints to 4 others.
until now i saw you complain about everything that killer can do yet you still play... why they should modify things if you keep playing? i bet that you secretly like being camped and tunneled...

what about genrush? this is one of the causes of killers camping... if you want resolve camping, you have to resolve how fast gens will pop 1st (i bet that the numbers of players camping will be greatly reduced in that way)

This, along with the achievement to be the last survivor alive to activate the final gen and escape through the exit gates, are a few if the only achievements I haven't gotten yet because it's just insanely challenging to get them completed
i've more troubles with the new ones that devs putted... (end a chase going into a locker without being caught 35 times)... you have to play with a specific build (guess quick and quiet is a must) and aganist your team... not gonna do it, i'm tired of idiotic achievement who force you to play badly
-
surv: we'll make it, second wind (renewal), inner strenght (inner healing) and kindred
killer: enduring, spirit fury, devour hope (only if you have a totem build) and starstruck (extremely situational but it works wonderfully when you have to deal with sabo/bodyblock teams)

You couldn't be further from the truth, most SWFs aren't that sweaty. I maim killer and I get happy when I see a SWF because I know it'll be a fun game for once. You just need to chill out and git gud.
I don't need to get gud cause I'm already good enough... You need to find some premades that I usually found in my matches, then we can talk again about being "skilled"... Until then I finished to talk with you

You want the people you're playing with to chill and enjoy the event, but you're meeting this behavior you don't like with the same behavior. It's cliche, but be the change you want to see. Just calm down.
Every event I play party bottles clown. Party bottles clown plays normally, two hooks everybody and then just chills for the rest of the round. I have a few drinks while I'm doing this. It's fine. It's fun, even. Try it. You might like it.
Oh also: please just let the folks trying to do the no mither thing go. It's an awful challenge. They know it, you know it. Let it go.
No more chill matches, especially during events... This became the norm unfortunately and the few people who play chill will suffer the consequences for doing so...

"My bp" lol. Im playing 2 hook legion so most survivors enjoy the match anyway. Just was something funny that happened and i thought id share it.
Honestly? Despite i don't like this i can also understand why... Too many pricks around during the events. My personal experience: 2 days that I'm trying to play chill as killer and all the time people kept being toxic scumbags, so it would be probably for those reasons that the typical "that guy" didn't put any altruistic offering (generally speaking)

How do you know if they're in a SWF? The game doesn't tell you so this is just a unfair statement overall. I still stand my point, SWFs aren't a problem, just learn how to counter play.
Let me guess... 2 of those guys bodyblocked all the time while the 3rd was doing generators with a toolbox? I've enough experience to recognize when people are playing in a SWF and when they aren't... And I'll tell you more... There's no counter for a full sweaty swf with broken items, you can hope to kill one of them if you have enough luck and they won't use a map offering for certain maps... Btw you sounds ridiculous when you said that swf aren't a problem... EVERYONE with some common sense will tell you otherwise (even the devs admit this, and this alone should tell you the truth...)

It defies logic. They could play a non-toxic game and earn double or triple what they do when camping but they choose toxicity instead. It just goes to show how large a portion of the community just plays to be toxic and cruel. I just don't get the mindset of people that take pleasure out of others’ pain. But no one can deny that many killers have this weird tendency to ‘roleplay’ as killer so that they can’t be sportsmanlike while playing killer… they have to be ‘evil’ on the meta level and try to hurt the actual players. Until the devs actually start punishing toxic behavior this will persist. It would be easy to punish camping and tunnelling more but they choose not to. And they could let survivors at least leave these toxic situations by surrendering in some way but instead we get penalized for DC’ing. I don’t know… this game is amazing when it’s played right but seriously, seriously awful when played with toxicity. I hope I didn’t break any forum rules by stating what I think is the truth here. If I did, I guess I’ll find out… Good luck enjoying the event everyone…
imagine complaining about the killer doing his job... you see, when you try to be nice as killer and you find toxic pricks in EVERY match with meta perks, playing only for winning (aka doing gens even under your nose while chasing someone in that zone and generally speaking abusing of every possible broken thing in the game) rather than playing for points/fun well... this is what happen. if you have troubles with camping killers just equip kindred and rush generators, you can't expect that every player has your same mindset, you must be eventually prepared for the worst outcome...

SWFs aren't a problem at all, not every SWF you face is a comp squad doing all gens in 4 minutes. Most of the time it's friends trying to have a chill game. There's lots of things to counter good swfs too but people don't want to learn.
LMAO... swf aren't a problem at all... this statement is false, they are THE PROBLEM... i still have to see a chill premade in my matches... and i've over 2500 hours in this game...

nah, they have the power to modify things... it's just that they won't do nothing about it cause they consider SWF their 1st customers (skins). why they should modify things and upsetting their (main) customers when they can simply leave things as they are now? despite people are complaining about swf they are still playing...

- Not enough hooks in that area so survivor could wiggle off
this @Aven_Fallen. As i stated before the infamous 4% or lack of hooks (despite i didn't sacrificed anyone, one of my last matches on rpd forced me to bleed to death 2 survivors cause the hooks weren't present... i wonder why this is still a thing)

This is probably a hot take, but I don't think body blocking with BT is a wrong thing.
I can see why killers are annoyed with it, but isn't teamwork asked from the community? BT is one of the best perks for this because it gives a unique effect that isn't an "increase X effect".
If I'm a survivor and I notice the killer is hard camping every hook and always there when the unhook happens, I'm not going to let you get a free hook again because you wanted to sit next to me for the past 40 seconds.
It's the smartest move from the survivors in that situation because it minimizes the lethality that the killer can do. Hell, if players are exposed in any way, body blocking with BT is a smart play.
As many players have said, you'll go ahead and tunnel the body-blocker. Go ahead. I'm not discouraging you, but it seems like people are forgetting that body-blocking & any form of teamwork is allowed too.
When I play killer, I don't like to linger around. I don't have to worry about BT at all because that 12-second timer has nothing on me.
There are options available against a body-blocking Bt
EDIT: changed title
wanna bodyblock with bt? fine, but you shouldn't be allowed to D strike right after the killer for punish your aggressive play with a DEFENSIVE PERK... bt was thinked to gave the unhooked survivor an opportunity to escape from the killer, not taking protection hits... if you use it in that way you are exploiting a perk out of his intended purpose imo
-
well, the point of playing killer is killing the survivors, doesn't matter how... as far as i know, slugging is the best way to get a win (especially if you have a killer that can ignore survivor's defenses like nurse), you don't have to deal with perks like BT or DS, people won't focus on doing gens cause they are too busy to revive each other and the killer won't waste the time to hook someone (also no chances to get a "4%" since you didn't hooked anyone)... is this scummy? yes. is it effective? one of the best strategies that a killer can do. is it allowed? yes.

with pleasure... let's start from his "antiloop" if we can call it in that way... when he start to use his power his basic MS will be capped at 3.8, meaning that's sufficient literally hold w shift to counter his "powerful" antiloop (also he's a huge blob of garbage, unlike sadako who can at least mindgame certain loops due to her low height)... his teleport ability wouldn't be bad... if wasn't for: 1 survivors can lock lockers, utterly wasting your time 2 it's decent only during nightfall, when you did it normally his speed is greatly slowed 3 once you exit from a locker you have a cooldown long enough to allow a survivor to reach a safe spot (and if this wouldn't be enough the chosen locker will be sourrounded by a black mist, giving other clues to the survivors). finally his nightfall effect wouldn't be bad... if it could be triggered more easily, the killer itself wouldn't be so loud and people would stop to apply nvidia filters in order to have a brighter game, without mentioning that this passive ability won't slow down the overall genspeed... are those points enough for you?

yes, i personally consider it cheating despite it's allowed cause as i said before, the game wasn't thinked to be played with VC...

SWF teams are stronger than solo teams for sure and they have so much advantages against killers. For example;
+Solo teams needs to use aura perks for information. SWFs can just talk in discord.
+Solo teams needs to use Small Game for totem counter. SWFs are just telling each other how many totems cleansed.
+Solo teams don't know who will go to save, who is going to solve Pinhead's box, who is in chase etc. But SWFs knows.
Balancing game around solo teams makes game unfair for killers. Balancing game around SWF teams makes game unfair for solo survivors.
So SWFs have some advantages but are those reasons enough to remove SWF from game? (except custom games) Or it will be bad decision? What are you thinking?
ABSOLUTELY YES. the game wasn't thinked to be played on comms, but with 3 other random teammates, giving you the satisfaction to escape from the killer by simply cooperating with the others... despite devs have stated that SWF is a legit way to play the game and everyone just accepted the idea of swf (myself included), i still personally think that's "cheating" cause the game become MUCH MORE different (aka easier, without challenge)...

I seen someone say it was a breath of fresh air to have a non looping killer or anti loop. but his ability is like freddy, teleport but bigger scale, his antiloop is more effective id say because he has the pyramid head ability, cancel power and instant attack. he can attack instantly out of his teleport back to husk and he can stop his power to instant attack and because his cooldown is so fast he can catch you if you run away. running away will save extra 3 seconds per hit which adds up but honestly is some dumb counterplay but hey its the game design. and his darkness can actually make moonwalking and hiding stains easier and you cant instantly see other loops. this killer seems really strong overall maybe not at highest level like most killers but he still is strong. people just still suffer with him by swinging too early during a teleport mindgame or they are too ambitious with locker teleports. what do you guys think?
the dredge simply sucks, period. he's easily the worst killer in the game, on par with sadako

I've been playing for a year now, and one thing that strikes me as odd how this is still, after all this time, this is still in the game.
When boil over was changes the developers quickly nerfed it because in some circumstances the killer had no way to hook a survivor in certain areas, they had to let the survivor bleed out if they wanted a killer.
Flash forward to the most recent patch, box camping pig was nerfed, which was probably the closest comparative to basement Bubba in the game. Survivors had no chance to live, this lasted only months before it was fixed in the latest patch.
But here we are, still being camped by a Bubba on hook with no way of countering it. His chainsaw speed and number of charges completely negate borrowed time. There nothing you can do. Oftentimes it happens within the first 60 seconds of the match, and thar unluckily survivor just spend 10 min in que just to have this happen to them and have them eliminated from the game.
Why is there double standards, why is one thing considered broken and hotfixed or patched, but this isn't. It's makes no sense and it's beyond frustrating at this point.
You see posts pleading for BhVR to change this everyday, yet they won't even acknowledge it in community streams. It makes zero sense ignore it when you're actively and aggressively removing others like it from the game.
you see, it's for post like your that keep the bubba camp meme going on... if you complained it means that it worked... just don't give it too much importance and take kindred, for me it works perfectly

Hello!
Just a message to my fellow addon/offering hoarders - use your stuff!
I decided I wanted to prestige III a few characters and, naturally, have to spend my cakes & high-power addons before I lose it all, and discovered that I have a virtually inexhaustible supply of the stuff!
This is on my killers, mind you. I think I ended up in a situation where I would amass my BP enhancing offerings (namely cakes & bloody party streamers) since the feeling of doing very badly during a match where you end up giving the survivors an absurd amount of bonus bloodpoints is not a very good feeling at all. Similarly, bringing limited supply addons can feel like a waste if the match doesn't go as planned! Additionally, I've long feared using addons that I'd become dependent on having - like, the kind that change your playstyle so significantly that you effectively can't even play your killer without that addon.
It's all NONSENSE! Spend your stuff! Go nuts!
All said, I've been currently cleaning out my 15 Judith's Tombstones on Meyers while I also clean out my bloody party streamers, and some survivors have been a little cross with me for 'wasting' them - but I'll tell you what the real waste is: never using it at all!
I think the mentality that you HAVE to get maximum value whenever you bring an addon/offering is a self-defeating way of handling your stuff. Of course you'll have plenty of matches where you come in armed to the teeth and end up with an embarrassing performance - but if you are getting agitated over not getting crazy value out of your things, you'll also never get to enjoy when those addons & offerings really rake in the benefits!
i won't waste bp offering for the others unless i'm playing with broken stuff... the days when i used trapper with the padded jaws with a bloody party streamers are gone... also cause i don't need bloodpoints anymore (or at least not so desperately as before since my goal to prestige at p3 every character that i was interested is completed)

@Chewy102 said:
It might just be low MMR from me not playing that often, or at all in the last several months, combined with Survivors not really understanding Dredge that well yet. But so far Dredge is working out as a reasonable hit&run Killer. Current build is
Perks
Sloppy Butcher, Thana, Pop, and Darkness Revealed
Preferred add-ons
Malthinker's Skull (66% faster natural nightfall progressing when a Survivor wounded) and Burnt Letters (25% more to the nightfall boost when hitting a Survivor).
The start of a game you instantly go to a locker and use DR for Survivor locations. Depending on the map you can either know exactly where everyone is, or where they are not. Either way gives decent early game pressure by starting that first chase that much faster. Not perfect, but DR can be used throughout the entire game and is rather good at it's job!
Sloppy and Thana explain them selves in how they combo. You hit someone, they stay wounded for longer, and gens get a minor slowdown. Almost a win win for Dredge as Survivors are gonna take longer to do most things no mater what. And Dredge can afford to spread pressure and do hit&run thanks to his map mobility. Who is aided by DR's aura reading. You know where almost anyone is at any given time and be near their location ASAP! Add that with how much longer it takes to heal and things start to add up. Plus, it isn't all that bad of a setback for committing to a chase that runs you into the middle of nothing. Hook and teleport cross map, or simply give up on that chase and teleport away towards where you need to be. Got choices.
Pop is just Pop. Combos with locker teleports well along with Thana slowdown and just does good work on it's own. Also lasts the entire game unlike some other anti gen perks.
Then comes Nightfall! Nightfall is proving to be a MONSTER of a power for hit&run. Not only does it make Dredge's map mobility insane, it forces Survivors to make more guesses, or make more mistakes on average. If they can't see you directly, they never know what you are doing. Can't tell you how many times Iv hit someone and let them get away only to be right on them again thanks to a locker teleport or be on someone else within seconds to do the exact same thing. Lastly you got how dark Nightfall is and all that does against Survivors.
There are negatives though. Starting off I lost almost every game played till I started to figure out what tiles to loop, where to mind game, and effective locker teleport pathing. Often found me playing a mind game with myself. Gotta really learn how to read the Survivor's pathing and the map layout. The last few games have been heavily in my favor though.
As said, it might just be a MMR thing with it being very low. But I swear hit&run is working on Dredge.

I report them as unsportsmanlike every time. The game is balanced to a 4 man swf. When playing as solo there’s often an instant DC. So we now have an already unbalanced game (killer is favored vs solos) become insanely unfair. Since Behaviour can’t figure out a fair way to deal with immediate DCs it’s MY OPINION that it is unsportsmanlike for a killer to play a game that is wildly unfair and balanced in their favor and they should just make it a farming game instead of beating up a team that is stuck in an unfair match since Behaviour wont let us quit in these situations. Just throwing it out there… It’s your system Behaviour. This is how I interpret it.
you... yes you... you are probably the typical entitled guy who blame everything but you for your loss... your reports are useless since in the case that you described the killer is just playing the game... you should put your anger aganist who dc, not the killer... it's like reporting the killer for tunneling or camping... useless since devs stated that are valid tactics...

I make no comment on OP's stance/argument.
I'll share my own stance, though (it's probably pretty standard and boring, but whatever, I'm already here): The problem with perks on both sides goes deep. I don't like a lot of second chance perks and the way they can be used together. I also don't like a lot of killer perks, most gen perks and the ones that slow down survivor actions. Those kinds of survivor and killer perks wildly throw off the game's balance, making for a frustrating experience whether you're going up against them or feeling forced to use them.
I hope BHVR makes the game better and not worse when they start adjusting the meta perks. Though, I'm worried about their plans for BBQ.
the problem is also how people tend to use those perks... for example the idea behind bt is great, but there's a little but crucial detail... in my matches people use bt not for getting away from the killer, but they use it "agressively" by taking the hit reserved to the unhooker or bodyblocking you on purpose, forcing you to tunnel said survivor cause he didn't left you with much choices (and here the other meta perks come into his help)... i still have to see someone using for his original purpose...

i wish it was an excuse...

I have zero issue winning 99% of my matches.
The one's I don't win are usually either down to my own mistakes or Survivors playing extremely well. You do not get those matches often.
Surge and PR also do relatively low amounts of gen damage on their own. It's when you start chaining PR that it becomes a killer to the Survivor team. Likewise, Ruin offers an enormous effect of fast gen regression balanced out by it being a Hex perk. PGTW is also contingent upon hooking a Survivor, which like you said, is no easy task, apparently and it rewards you by offering 25% gen regression.
did you see my matches in order to know what kind of survivor i face? no, but i'll tell you anyway: i didn't had a chill match since the introduction of this cursed mmr (the only chill matches that i did until now were ONLY with sadako for some reason... with every other killers is a eternal sweatfest with broken stuff, map offering, dead hard spam and toxic swf)

OP can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think they're saying they want to be able to kick an already regressing generator. I think they're saying that second-chance survivor perks shouldn't stack, and they're making a point that there's precedent for it because a lot of killer perks don't play well together.
this was my original thought, yes
-
@Pulsar said:
You can't kick a gen that's already regressing.
I didn't know this was something controversial.
It's the same reason why you can't use PGTW multiple times on the same gen while it's regressing.
the old ruin allowed this (agree that the old ruin didn't regressed gens automatically, but if you think about it you can regress a gen who is already regressing... for example surge/jolt works with ruin, scourge hooks works with ruin), so i don't see why it shouldn't be available again, or maybe apply the same logic to survivor's perks... in solo queue those perks wouldn't be a big problem, but aganist premades who stack 2nd chances on 2nd chances you just don't have the time to even do 3 hooks, even if you didn't commit any mistake... this is just overkill and unnecessary

It's getting tiresome of how much outplay I have to do to get a single down because of this horrendous perk combined with, frankly, map design that is incredibly sub-par to what one would expect from a game lasting this long. I'm being very polite with the wording.
I think it'll be good data, and would help balancing the new version of it that SHOULD be underway from what I understand.
because the people can't play without their crutch perks

in the meantime i had a match on rpd without A SINGLE HOOK available in the central hall and in the bathroom zone... i was forced to bleed to death the survivors

Something tells me you're overrating yourself...
And something tell me that you don't have enough experience to have a impartial judgment about measuring the power of a killer (bold of you to assume my skill without even seeing one of my matches)... Think about it, it's pure and simple logic... You can't ignore pallets in any way, you can't ignore windows, you have only a "decent" (became good during nightfall) mobility power... Even in chases he's weak af (hold the power in order to use your remnants and you are stuck at 3.8 ms... SLOWER THAN A SURVIVOR, without mentioning that your hitbox is bigger than the survivor so even objects can be easily used to gain distance from him, so with this in mind, how you can benefit from his antiloop if he's too slow to reach the survivors in the 1st place? That's right, YOU CAN'T).

Is this bad thing? I mean map mobility and solid anti chase
Solid anti chase? Maybe if you are facing potatoes who know only to spin around a single loop then throw down the pallet... Aganist skilled survivors this killer is a living joke

Just to clarify
- He’s the same speed as all the other standard killers (4.6 m/s). His teleport is slower during the day but still much faster than running so is still very good for map mobility.
- Locking the lockers does waste a bit of his time but not a huge amount, even with breaking a locked locker he still spends way less time crossing the map then if he walked there normally.
- He’s a bit better than a basic attack powerless killer in a chase because of the occasional anti-loop he gets from the Remnant.
Right now I’m putting him as potentially A Tier. I don’t think his chase are quite good enough to be at Nurse or Blight level but his mobility alone makes him really good and then you pair that with being boosted in Nightfall half the match and he’s looking pretty solid.
(score down the text a bit and you'll find that I did another answer where I specified that his power overall became faster) He's on par with sadako for being the worst killer in the game right now... His antiloop is hilarious from a survivor perspective (it's sufficient holding w shift to kept him busy) and his teleport start to become useful only in nightfall mode... This killer is a joke right now

Best designed killer? Highly doubt it (still a subjective thing).
But the important thing is that you had fun with him.
