I've been saying for a while that pips need to go. They used to help rate your skill in a match and how well you did. So why are they used now for a system that's supposed to determine time played? Makes no sense.
Also the requirements for pipping doesn't make sense. They say 2 kills/ 2 escapes is the "ideal" match right? But even if you're only silver grade, if you play a normal match and kill 2 survivors and the other 2 get out, it doesn't matter how many hooks you have, how many pallets you've broken or gens you've kicked, you're not pipping. Doesn't make sense.
If you kill all the survivors, that's a major win right? But kill them all too quickly and you won't pip, might even depip. So instead of being rewarded for playing the game like you should be, you get Nothing for playing the game.
Yeah, they do not reflect time played, that is just one of those hive mind sentiments that they decided on arbitrarily. I have no clue why, but there is no fixing it as I do not believe they understand how it works. Lol.

I do, if it wasn’t for ttvs I would get clips of me playing demo. Or me getting a late game save I have seen the reactions
That was a sick lunge, he never stood a chance.

But yeah, sure, Boil over is perfectly fine, right? :D
The only reason I was even able to actually leave instead of spending the rest of my life in that game was one of them clearly got bored and did generators. But I did protect my Envelope! So I've got that going for me. They may waste my time, but they will never get the 4,444 BP from my envelope!!!!
Time to play some Leatherface! Daddy needs to express some rage...
GGEZ
Yes, the power of Leatherface compels you. Lick those lips and get ready to taste more than just their tears. It is a cannibal cookout and best boi is getting the meats. All of a sudden this "boil over" will help the meat remain nice and tender.

you lose or you lose, I get it.
Indeed. Hex perks are just a lost cause at this point. Save those for the content creators to "showcase" how potent they are, or whatever, and ignore them like the plague.

Shouldn't I not drink alcohol if I'm young?
Nobody should be drinking it, but what can you do?

Quick and Quiet plus is the only non-meta perk I run. I am planning to get down with the thickness and purchase Jane for some Head On action, apply directly to the forehead. I need to keep DS to do that stupid double stun trick.

Pyramid Head is really cool and fun. I just wished that his power wasn't so clunky to use, BUT the more I play him the more I feel that his power is misleading: it aint a ranged attack, but its a "let survivors run past pallets without dropping them" psychological tool.
It is a ranged attack for face camping purposes, at the very least. Very efficient to BT check.
-
I do not see why not. I read through the entire thread and literally nobody provided a decent reason against the idea.
-
I have one request that the developers are too afraid to implement, it is quite simple, really, I desire hit validation on vaulting. What seems to be the issue? I wonder why they won't do it. Hmm... So strange. Maybe it would favor the killer too much? Is that it? We just don't understand how servers decide hits didn't happen despite putting powers on cooldown? So weird.

I don't really want to have to run that many type of perks at once outside of a joke build...
The brightly coloured charm on the hooks idea is pretty big brain though
How dare you call Basement Bubba a joke. No, it is a form of art; however, I wouldn't expect someone like you to understand.
-
I personally only check for red lights which lets survivors get away because I am too lazy to actually search unless I am desperate for a 4k (such as on a challenge). However, when I attempt to do this, the killer always has whispers. So unlucky.
-
I just look up, so even if I didn't bring Lightborn, I never really get blinded by those.

Yes. Many consider Demo to be the most balanced killer and I played him a lot. His shred is incredibly fun and useful, but no braindead power at all and his portals, while a bit finicky to use, provide some pretty cool mobility and also give you tons of free hits against survivors deadset to close them up, not realizing that they are Oblivious while doing so.
His two Iri add-ons in concert are one of the most toxic combination in the game, though. When prestiging my good boi I played 12 games back to back with them, just to use them up and it was fun and hilarious, but also pretty brutal and a tad bit unfair. One cool thing is that you learn a lot about how survivors behave, because you can and examine exactily how they try to be sneaky, and it leveled up my gameplay with other killers immensely.
That being said, Demo will continue to fade into obscurity, as less and less players give him a spin and newer players wont have the opportunity to acquire him. Some players have been reported that they got accused of cheating for "using a killer who is no longer in the game" or "trying to catch an unfair advantage" because others can so infrequently gather experience in versing Demo-puppy, but thats all non-sense. Salty players will always be salty, but I get way more adoration when someone finally gets to verse Demo again after a long time. I guess he is the universally most well loved killer and thats no easy feat in this salt pit of a community ^^
It is ironic, because of how well balanced he is, he is arguably one of the best killers for new players. And yet, they are the only people who cannot play him. Tragic.
-
Is there literally any game out there that has listed difficulties that are universally agreed upon?
-
I would run them together if you are trying to play around wannabe bully squads. Otherwise, it probably is not worth running either.

Oop sorry. I didn't see as a killer. I saw "scary enemy", which is 100% applicable to survivors 😂
When you put it like that, this is one of the rare situations where literally everyone but you is crazy.

Bored of losing because I was merely just okay at all my favorite killers, and craving the satisfaction of truly mastering a killer, I set out on a challenge: to play one killer, and only one killer, for a month and a half (sounds very unimpressive but as someone who usually plays a variety of killers, it's a bit of a big change for me) and try to go from being terrible at them to becoming a master at them. And at the end of it all, evaluating what I learned along the way. Will I still be doing this? Absolutely. But with a key difference: the killer was once Oni, but now it's a killer that I have a fair amount of experience with but has been collecting dust, and who has more depth and a higher skill ceiling than I once had noticed. A skill ceiling that I will be attempting to reach.
Obviously, I'm talking about Bubba. Over the course of this time that I'm playing him, I'll be trying not to become your usual hold W and facecamp Bubba. I will try to evolve into a Bubba who uses his chainsaw creatively and also happens to run Agitation, Iron Grasp, Insidious, and perhaps Monstrous Shrine.
I'll try to commit to this even though I'm well aware that almost nobody cares.
I care. I am really proud of you, DoritoHead. At first I thought you were a generic cheese flavor, but now I know you are Cool Ranch.

I tried to play a few matches today and I simply couldn't stomach it anymore. So many Killers were camping and tunneling from the start of the game.
Had a Ghostface not even let a David leave the hook (his first down at 4 gens). Poor David must have only been able to play for 2 minutes tops. The Killer was teabagging everyone he facecamped.
So though I'd love to stop running BT and Decisive, in Solo queue both perks are essential if you want to have any semblence of a game. I can't not run them.
The Ghostface said he was face-camping in all his matches to punish any survivors who try Boil Over. I checked after the match and only one person was running it and it wasn't even a good map for it.
It seems like a lot of killers have this strange mentality that the survivors are all the same person. It is quite cringe.

Well even the competitive scene puts tones of rules etc. In place to try and balance it that bit more, they also award hooks.
But still even in a comp setting it's a bunch of tunnel and camp with NOED and that's not interesting tbh
Of course, high level DBD is a joke and not particularly fun. I 100% agree with that.
-
It might help if you said what the problem was.
-
Only in video games do people arbitrarily decide a win is not important. So anti competitive, and that would fine if they admitted their arguments were nonsensical.

No, I would never taint my lord with the curse of rngesus. Bubba deserves better than McDonald's hex spells.

That's why I don't like to do it. It's not out of some chivalrous love over the survivors enjoyment, it's just really boring for me :D
I am glad the experience is thrilling for me, or I might be annoyed. Watching them squirm and or go completely motionless makes me so ara ara uwu!

If you're close enough that BT is preventing you from getting downs, you're close enough to go for the person who unhooked. Even if they had DS they can't anymore. IF you go for whoever unhooks, you're making 7 perks they brought entirely useless, and your decision to tunnel and your punishment for doing so is 100% on you.
Nah. I am really bad at tracking and BT users aren't the type to take aggro. Even when I play nice purposely, I often need to go for the unhooked as they are the only one leaving scratch marks.

That'd be pretty neat.
Ideally, I'd want a Lady D skin that reskins the zombies into enemies from that game, but... power still probably wouldn't fit that well, so it's probably not that likely.
Lady D is better than Mr. X. Who cares about what fits? Nobody would buy a lame Mr. X skin. Everyone would simp for our giantess. Facts. 🙏

If it's useless, then nerfing it has a net zero effect, and is really easy to do - right?
'Fix maps' isn't realistic. If they were going to, it would have been done already.
I would agree if it were actually useless. I do not really believe that, however. That being said, what do I care? I do not even own the perk.
I suppose you aren't wrong, but you never know. Changing circumstances might just be what Behavior needs to address the genuine problems with this game that will linger if and when Boil Over is addressed.
-
I find survivor more stressful, watching my teammates makes me want to scream into a pillow. And unfortunately I understand why they do what they do, as I play like them while doing Archive challenges. I would rather just kill survivor mains than survive along side them.

I can’t tell if this is bait or not
The best bait often uses facts to captivate and lure those around.
-
In game development, no. It is not a coincidence. They think of how new gameplay elements will interact with old and often try to sell the solutions to problems ahead of time. The fact that this has not been addressed by them proves it. And I am one of the few that actually thinks this is fine. But it is QUITE obviously a community concern.
-
After the nerf, he joined 90% of killers in "not viable" tier.

If you're using a strong build IDK why you're complaining when the other side also brings strong perks.
Even if you bring a "weak" build, you have no right to cry about what others are bringing. They can bring what they want, as you have. It is really none of your business.

I like slugging as much as I love your username.

You do not need to ask me, I was going to do it regardless. I know some of you survivors enjoy that kinky stuff. Don't think I didn't notice. I will give you what you desire!
-
That is a take... Not a very good one, but I suppose everyone is entitled to their opinion. I guess my take on that would be that Unbreakable needs to be base kit.
-
You address it the same way, more or less. Slug them... Iron Grasp, blah blah blah. The difference is if there aren't a full sabo squad, you can tunnel that individual out and the threat is gone.

This would be nice, but it seems that map changes take a lot of work from BHVR's side. It took them literally years to fix the spots where downed survivors couldn't be picked up from.
It would be much simpler to remove the wiggle increase on a fall. The perk would be about as useless as it is currently, but at least wouldn't allow survivors to grief.
Honestly, just change the perk to something else that is both useful and enjoyable.
"Let's nerf a useless perk." Not even a straw man, sadly... You literally said it.
-
Yes, they are hypocritical, but not for the reason you believe. I am glad that I didn't accidentally agree with Sluzzy. I told myself if the day game when I genuinely agreed with him, I would quit DBD. And that day is not today, dodged a bullet.
-
Boil Over: start with 25% wiggle progress. There maybe people will stop calling it bad.
Lightborn: Facing a wall blinds everyone holding a flashlight. Now everyone is happy that you can look at a wall.
-
It is actually fun for me. I try to reserve it for survivors who deserve it, but you know, sometimes I get a little carried away. You do not understand, I play as a nice killer too and I still get treated the same despite being courteous. So why not win, trigger them, AND have more fun all at the same time? You tell me. Why should I throw the game, go out of my way for their fun while they disrespect me, and overall have a worse experience? It makes no sense.
But guess what? I do it anyways, all the time. I only play mean on Bubba, Pig, and Twins, if I recall. Actually, you know what, my Clown is outrageously toxic too. No idea why, I just "feel" it with him. Everyone else I play super fair. It is all about karmic balance.
-
I finished all survivor challenges besides the Tapp ones, as I do not own him or his perks, and stun the killer 4 times. I hate that one because magically they respect every pallet. I am only level 16, which is decent, I suppose. But I really want to get done already for the Pig skin. I bought it early for fishnets.
Anyways, I swf with my sister, so it makes a lot of challenges go by in 1 game whereas if I was alone, I have no clue how I would do them without wanting to hurt myself.

It should never have gone live in the first place, at the very least they should have put a hook at the top of the library and this would prevent this exploiting of a broken perk. I had team mates in solo who sent the killer to RPD and abused it in this way, I escaped and didn't even try to save them at the end
Yeah, this whole debacle really showcases how bad hook spawns are more than anything. I do not believe Boil Over would be vaguely complained about if hooks were normalized.
-
It doesn't work.
In all seriousness, mmr has been loosened, presumably to deal with queue times. So... it is kind of like the old days again. It is like a hazing ritual, you place new players against people with hundreds upon thousands of hours and voila, they are hooked.
-
It is good that they finally got rid of one of the most killer sided maps. Finally some balance to the game. Lets get rid of Midwich next, I always dieded on this map... Please remove.
-
I wish they would buff it even more so that killers could finally get the memo that tunneling is efficient. It is my dream that one day the game is played properly instead of the glorification of throwing that we get from both sides.
Us versus them? Nah. They are together in how bad at the game they are. Unified through their shared gameplay experience. It is beautiful in its own way.
