Yeah, the typical killer player is kind of a crybaby who whines when things don't always go in his favour.

you say this but i have at least 1 DC survivor every 2 games

Exactly. Hypocrisy at its finest....or ignorance. Either one.

  • Offerings that allow a killer to kill a survivor that was hooked once(Should be twice)

Should be twice? Then what even be the point of a mori if they would die on the next hook anyway? Count your blessing, buddy. Once upon a time, a killer could use a mori without ever even needing to hook a survivor.

  • Killers:
    Legion
    Freddy
    Huntress

    Survivors:
    I only ever play Quentin.
  • Nah man. Spirit fury is SUPER strong for M1 killers. It’d be OP if it were buffed
  • He’s my favorite. A little weak, but my favorite. Already fully prestiged him :)

Time and time again, I get the lovely messages complaining that I “tunnel”.

    Ok.

I consider tunneling relentlessly hunting down a specific survivor over and over again to kill them. Can we agree that’s tunneling? Cool.

I refrain from from doing this as much as I can. It’s just boring to me. Yet I get called a tunneler for when someone is unhooked not even 15 meters from me and I down the unhooked survivor.

Yeah, I’m just gonna make my life harder by following your rules and throwing common sense out the window. Not to mention I should just leave mindless farms and saves unpunished. HA!

If you consider me downing an already injured survivor who was just pulled off a hook while I was still in proximity VS a healthy, likely prepared survivor willing to “sacrifice” himself for the BPs, then, yes, I’m a tunneling son of a b****. I don’t play like an NPC would nor will I ever.
I dunno if you really wanted an answere or just some chanting from the main-killer community. But still I'll try to show you the survivor point of view.
A survivor can't do nothing about being unhooked, you can't like graps the hook to prevent yourself from getting farmed (unsafely unhook/ being unhooked before the killer even had a chance to leave). There are some survivors that love to unhook others unsafely knowing they won't be in any danger due to the usually tunneling killers. And they do get bp's for the unsafe hook. If the farmed survivor lives a little longer till you down them again they even get rewarded with safe hook rescue (full points) although they really just farmed points by getting the survivor killed.

The survivor that got kiled will probably have like the least possible bp's if you found them early in the game. They had no chance to do anything to gain bp's or to have fun in the game.
So by tunneling the injured farmed survivor, all you do is enforcing the farming (I had ppl unhooking me like that dc'ing when the killer played fair-means he wasn't tunneling- which isn't quite often).

When I play killer I try to do the following: If I'm still next to the hook and the survivor is unhooked I'll smack. If the unhooked is down I still go for the one (often a meg) that unhooked and hunt them down. I don't mind if the first hooked get's pick up. If I hit the unhooking survivor I still go straight for that one.

If the unhook was made right after I reached the nearest gen I still got back and try to get the one that unhooked.

Survivors have to play together to have a chance against a killer. If s.o on the team farms others or is trying to get others killed this one us sure to be dead in a game with me as the killer.
Playing the Killer I got the power to decide what behavior is ok and fair and I can honor it by giving the person a fair game. And in case that a survivor is being a selfish, farming one I again as Killer have the power to kill that person.

But well I like and cherish fairplay more then winning unlike probably most of the main killers. I think we all can have fun in the game, that's the reason ppl are playing it in first place.

As survivor I don't mind dying on the hook or to a mori if I had a fair game and had a real chance to make some points. But that's rare lately.
No trying to point on killer mains but usually when I thank a killer for fairplay they tell me how the hate other behavior cause they are survivor mains. Maybe some if the hatred mail you get are not being salty survivors?

When I play killer I usually get 4 k or at least 2. I only always get thanks for playing fair and gg's.
I've never been called tunneler or camper even if I slugged the rescued (but didn't hook them) or was still near the hook with no chance of even bringing decent space between me and the hook.

So maybe, just maybe some of you think about trying fairplay? You might not always get the 4 k, but games that are fun and fair for you and the survivors AND you might even get a nice comment on that fairplay although you killed all the 4 ;)

At least that's what I experienced.
    Playing on ps4 btw.

I do play quite fair actually. In fact I normally do exactly what you just described. Yes, I get the nice messages too, but the higher the ranks I go, the more.....rude messages I receive.

Thought i should also point out that it wasn’t  the person who was farmed that complained, rather it was the person WHO farmed, which I thought was interesting.
  • Don’t ignore their utility. Easier than a flashlight save and almost a guaranteed one if used properly
  • I don’t consider this bullying. Toxic, maybe. Annoying, hell yeah. But it’s not bullying. There’s nothing you can really do except chase them out. If survivors want to compensate for their lack of self esteem, let ‘em. They’re not worth your time to get angry about.
  • I really don’t I really don’t see a big deal with this change. I mainly play killer and it has little to no effect on my gameplay. It’s a good addition.
  • I SUGGEST you get a glass of water from them ;)
  • As the queen herself would say, “Use the in game report system”
  • I’m slightly annoyed at the timing, cause last week I fully prestiged Legion....could have saved myself from the grind a little, but oh well.
  • No, you're actually barely playing. You dont have Joey or Susie p3 so better put in some more hours
True. Can’t forget the fifth killer, Marley. Heard he has four prestige levels. Guess I know what I’ll be doing for the rest of the weekend
  • You just started P3!? Sounds like you're not playing ENOUGH!!!

Dang, you right. Gotta bump those numbers!

Legion is already OP as is, they don't need any buffs

Give me any reason as to why you think Legion needs buffs. What is just soooo horrible about him?
Well, for starters he excels at injuring, but seriously struggles to down. With his slow movement speed and low lethality of his power, he really can’t down a survivor without wasting a TON of his time.
  • Legion is already OP as is, they don't need any buffs
I need my LOL button........I NEED MY LOL BUTTON!!!!!
  • Still struggles to confirm a down. It’s kind of a joke honestly.
  • I imagine he will be like he spirit and gain a few buffs over time to the point where he is in a good spot. As much as I wish he were stronger now, I can understand from a balancing point of view that they take it slow.
  • How interesting......its almost like it was just announced that dedicated servers are coming this summer.... :chuffed:

  • 8:30pm est

    Thanks

  • What time is that btw...? (EST preferably)
  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinions.......but damn if yours aren’t just ludicrous
  • A classic example of the kind of survivor mains that make this community so *toxic*
  • You may intend on sacrificing yourself for the survivor on the hook, but in reality, you are only farming them, so the animation cancellation helps prevent that.

  • If you look at the tabs where you'd scroll between the players' loadouts, XP, etc, (the little boxes at the bottom of the screen) in KYF I believe only two will show up since you do not rank up or gain player XP versus matchmaking where there are four.

  • I don't think they are announcing a DBD2 anytime soon since they still have far to go on their calendar. What I do think that they will be announcing is the next chapter. Maybe not a full reveal, but I think it will be teased.

DS is a wasted perk slot. Competent killers deal with it. Incompetent killers complain about it to no end, but they can't be helped anyway, they are doomed to wait for an eternity for dev Mum and dev Dad to solve their problems.

So what you're saying basically is that a get-out-of-jail-free card is okay? Interesting. It's basically the equivalent of the killer being able to turn a generator off that had been fully repaired.

    WHEN WILL THE COMPLAINING END!!!!!

It's a forum. Forums are literally made for discussions on topics of the game, and discussions can't be had unless there is disagreement. Complaints with the game prompt discussions.

  • I don't think non-obsessions should be forced to live with minus 1 perk, and I don't like the idea of a get-out-of-jail-free card in a horror game where the killer is supposed to be feared. I stand by the fact that DS needs a rework and I can honestly say it will be difficult to change my mind.

  • I mean.....I play Freddy regardless of the rank just cause I like him, but yeah. It'll be nice to have games where I don't have to make every move perfectly in order to get even three kills

  • @Patricia Okay, I will. Thank you for the help! I'm sorry if I sounded kind of rude, I was frustrated at the time. I appreciate what you and the rest of the BHVR team do. Keep up the good work!

  • Do you ever post anything positive, or is it always some biased rant?

@RuneStarr There is no such thing as positivity with this guy unless it has to do with a survivor being praised as a God.....it's sad, but c'est la vie. There will always be bad apples in the basket.

  • You really are toxic, aren't you? Ochido must be your best friend. I think the devs did well with the event and introduced some aspects of the game that, while they were buggy, were enjoyable to help me look forward to DBD's future. Of course, there were major issues that made the game near unplayable, but a video game will always have its ups and downs.

And it's not like it was on purpose or that they never tried to fix it. They're human as you and I are. Mistakes will be made. For your sake, please understand this.

  • I see that there is a link to go create a ticket for this issue. Imma do that.

  • 1) Xbox
2)Gamertag = TheMidnightRidr (I am not home yet, so I do not know what my cloud ID is. I will edit this when I am home and can see)
3)Both survivor and killer (But I filled my survivor vile before my killer)
    4)Public
5)Neither of the vials were full
6)I was not able to see the vile during the match and still cannot
7)No, since the vial is considered full
8)I am able to manually select the Event UI, but it does not come up automatically as it did prior to the patch

FFS the Devs gave us a lot. Stop yer whining.
Yeah, you’re right. I should stop complaining that I literally can’t progress in the event because of a bug and that I’ve spent hours waiting in ques as killer. Totally nothing to complain about.

I didn’t ask for your attitude. I was just seeing if anyone knew the solution to the problem. Don’t be a little prick.
  • Every time I read a thread from Radiant, my entire family on my mother's side gets cancer

  • The devs say that he is the next killer that they will pay attention to. No other killer will get a rework or major change in general until Freddy has been dealt with. People are predicting that it will be with the next chapter release, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

You seem to forget that every little Survivor nerf is the literal death of the game, everyone is abandoning it in droves, and the devs are blatantly, disgustingly, killer favored.

Meanwhile, every Killer balance change, "Adapt, baby killers."

So what you're saying is that because playing survivor isn't exactly easy anymore........the game is dying.......yeah.....let's not forget that killers are supposed to be a threat and not exactly easy to escape. It should be an achievement to have survived, and if your team works together, it should be challenging, yes, but obtainable.

Also, "blatantly and disgustingly killer favored"? You have to be joking right? For as long as I can remember, killers have always had the short end of the stick. Survivors have always had, as TydeTyme puts it, "the number and the power roles" when the killer is supposed to be the all-powerful demon while the weaker, more numerous survivors must work together to defeat that one strong role. Now that survivor is not as easy as it once was, clearly the devs just are hating on the survivors and only support killers. Clearly.

  • Freddy main right here :chuffed:

  • Wait, are they going to bring cosmetics for licensed killers and survivors???

  • Dead hard by far. Like sprint burst, you choose when it can be activated, but it it doesn't have to be at the beginning of a chase. When used well, Dead Hard gives you a free mess up. If you can't make it to the pallet, Dead Hard. If you screw up and run into a wall, Dead Hard. If you even want to fake a body block and make the killer swing without hitting you, Dead Hard.

The other perks are situational. I by no means am denying their utility, but Dead hard is just better in nearly every aspect.

  • I love these types of discussions. Just goes to show that survivors like it easy and will always complain when anything doesn't go their way. For as long as I can remember, killers have always had the short end of the stick and it has been considerably more difficult to play versus survivors. Now that things are beginning to even out, of course, survivors are upset, they actually have to put in effort in order to survive.
