Learn? Make a free alternate account to practice on? Change your sensitivity? Not try to get Huntress headshots?
I've been playing a bit of Nurse on a secondary account on Xbox. Yes, it is extremely difficult, but I walk into a match knowing that I'm going to have a hard time. I've had SO MANY times where I should have hit but I didn't and I see that as more of a Nurse lunge issue than a console player issue.
None of those really fix the problem. That's just a "deal with it" kind of answer, which can be applied to facing kb/m (except you have the option to use kb/m as well).
Yes, it is extremely difficult, but I walk into a match knowing that I'm going to have a hard time.
The kb/m solution aims to fix this problem.

Does it though? What if I don't WANT to verse M&KB players on console?
And how doesn't my solution fix the problem?
What if I want to play Killers that struggle on console because no kb/m? Gotta consider pros/cons and figure out what has the highest benefit.
Your solution doesn't make those killers less of a struggle on console.

You add cross-play across all platforma. You then say, you pick a platform, you pick your controller type.
PS4 and Xbox use their more traditional controllers, Switch hss the joycons and PC has M&KB.
That doesn't fix the problem, though, because certain Killers still are much worse on console due to control limitations. Adding kb/m DOES fix the problem.

I am so glad you didn't even mention the fact that I did agree I was wrong above.... interesting, most would have said thank you for acknowledging it but you are just that type of person it seems. this is why you don't see what is wrong with only one side having something extra.
because it's about balance. what you propose will further unbalance things as it is. example: survivors have 4 perks, killers have 4 perks plus a basekit deerstalker addon. normally these killers decide if they want deerstalker because hey it's huntress i need to see those i drop due to a snipe shot etc. now they can add a different 4th perk that synergizes with deer stalker and the other 3 perks so in essence the killers now have 5 perks they use and survivors have 4. this is why both sides have access to the same number of perk slots, to prevent this idea from being used.
FINE you want that added to the base kit. while the devs are at it we will have them remove one perk slot to make it balanced. oh but this is not a full perk it's only a portion of a perk. so you want to have something extra and not give something extra to those you go against, sounds like you are looking for a way to add the extra power so you can win! oh you are sooo slick.
You incorrectly accusing me of something is irrelevant to the discussion.
It is NOT giving one side something extra. It is fixing a problem caused by a bug. That is what I am proposing. Taking away something from the Killers because they want a fix to a bug is ridiculous.

Then become a dev for Behavior and affect the change since you obviously know it's the only solution and you are right all the time. You get a base kit addon, then the survivors get a base kit addon. it's only fair, 5 perk killers are much more over powered than 4 perk killers with there is only 4 perks on each survivor. if it works for you then it works for everyone equally. you just can't deal with anything but your "normal" where as I am able to work with more than one situation, if I find I'm loosing people because I slug them I add deer stalker on instead of something else. I'm sorry you are locked in to 4 minuscule perks and can't play the game without just those 4.
Also YOU ARE CORRECT. my apologies it had been a while and it was not you that said you had an issue with it. I formally agree that statement is in error and I retract it.
You get a base kit addon, then the survivors get a base kit addon.
Why are you making this an "Us vs. Them?" This is about fixing a BUG.

because the fix is already in game, people just don't want to change and do something different. if the killers get a base kit change, then survivors get urban evasion as part of their base kit. or how about calm spirit??? would you accept that? no you wouldn't because it would change how you have to deal with things. I play killer and I play survivor. I don't care what my rank is because I get matched with rank 1's as my killer and i get matched with rank 1-4s as my survivors but I will gripe but understand it is working. I also know how over all hard this addition would be. once it's added no killer will use that perk, even those that use it already as now "HEY I'll have 5 perks on!!! WOOHOO!!!" but survivors have to stick to 4. no, this bug is not as wide spread as you think... I personally have never had the bug when I play so if the devs don't know what's causing it, it sounds like the issue is on the computers being affected, possibly it's a code interaction with their os set up or something like that. I can't say without even having that bug affect me.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1136128#Comment_1136128
then you should stop playing if you won't take the solution you offered that was already in the damn game. sorry you don't like having to alter your game play to help you but you also did say that it doesn't always help you because you still don't find them all the time even with the perk on, so again adding the effect of the perk to all killer's base kits will net you no help what so ever I'd suggest finding a better bandaid fix.
That's not a solution. A solution fixes the problem. What you propose sidesteps it. At my expense.
Also:
you also did say that it doesn't always help you because you still don't find them all the time even with the perk on
No I didn't.

I'll try that, Franklin's is the number one issue I'm struggling with during this challenge. Getting the key in game could prevent the Killer running it
If you worry about Franklin's, hide the Key until you know the Hatch has spawned.

I never tried the add-on and the description looks misleading 'Auras of Survivors removing a Reverse Bear Trap are revealed to The Pig for 6 seconds.'
That sounds like while they are trying to remove not after they removed it. Could be a bug - or if that is design then it does make it even more worthless.
Yeah, the description is misleading. What it should say is "When a Survivor removes a Reverse Bear Trap, their aura is revealed for 6 seconds." The add-on is trash.
-
One of us will be ready to counter NOED when the Hatch is closed at 5 gens.
-
Maybe that's how I stop being trash as Survivor. Find totems to stop NOED and leave gens to the rest.

then use the perk that is available that you want to have devs take extra time away from working on the issues by programming in something that is already in game. you are the ones (those wanting something extra that is available) that would cause it to take even longer to fix.
I'm not wasting a perk slot, and I'm not accepting the existence of the bug. The only things I will accept are things that fix the issue without having to change how I play the game.

you know it is not an ideal fix because it involves taking too much of the dev's time when the perk is available to any killer already.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1135380#Comment_1135380
then accept the bug is there, don't ask for extra programming time for a perk that you can use. I do.

mad? nah not mad... laughing because you have access to the same perk already... if you don't like it then don't play till you confirm it is fixed. why take the dev's time in order to get a bandaid that is already available. let them work on the issue instead of wanting them to work on something that would delay the fix.
then accept the bug is there, don't ask for extra programming time for a perk that you can use. I do.
No, because that is also not acceptable. Either fix the problem, or give us an acceptable substitute that doesn't come at the players' expense.

I haven't encountered this bug myself, but till then equip deer stalker. simple solution, requires no intervention from the devs what so ever. what is being suggested here is that the devs write code, then proof it against millions of lines of other code to make sure it doesn't break anything else, then later after fixing the issue they then have to go back into the code and remove the lines they added in to "bandaid" fix the issue and hope they didn't remove the wrong information. This then has to be applied to each killer individually so that is a great deal of "bandaid" fixing TWICE each.
Yet what you both don't get is all you have to do in this case is equip the perk that was suggested to be added to the base kit. since hey deerstalker is a general perk, not a teachable perk from anyone killer. So with my solution, the devs only have to devote time to fixing the issue instead of devoting time to changing all killers twice plus fixing the issue in a manner that is much more streamlined way and takes no dev time from them.
ALSO: ln his own response to me, he said that he STILL looses them with deerstalker on, so again I say how is this any kind of bandaid fix for anything if this guy can't even reliably use the perk?
Going down a full perk slot is not an acceptable substitute.

DS doesn't not trump moris because it's a perk. DS doesn't trump moris because DS only works on being picked up, and moris don't pick someone up.

I said that I like other killers being viable because of console, not others being unplayable. 360's don't work THAT much at higher ranks. You can also balance console and PC separately.
Invasion of my space is that console is just the place for controllers, more casual and keeping a level playig field since controllers aren't as likely to be super sensitive.
Console is also not easy mode, killers are not handicapped, and I have zero clue where you got that idea from. Maybe it is on PS4, but not Xbox. Console has it's own issues, so don't come at me with that PC elitist attitude. It's statements like yours that make me want to continue keepig console and PC separate. If you're that desparate for M&KB on console, then just get a PC with cross-play.
I was able to climb to red last season only using one meta perk on one of two builds. This means that the "meta build" isn't exactly nessecary.
If the DBD devs were willing to balance separately, they would have done so by now. KB/M is just an easier, safer way to actually balance the console versions a little better.

It might be good for determining which box they will go next (assuming they don't get it off on the first try as usual) since you see their aura while they trying to remove it. Might be good with the add ons that slow down box searching - but still you probably either are too busy to notice the aura or too far away to do anything about it.
Most of her add-ons are just terrible and generic. How about add-ons for crouched movement speed or maybe an ultra rare that cuts her ambush roar?
Instead she get add-ons that give survivors more frequent opportunities for great skill successes and modify ambush miss cooldown -- I don't think anyone uses ambush beyond maybe a couple times at most during a match to scare people from loops.
You don't see the aura while they are searching the box. You see the aura AFTER they remove the Trap.
This add-on is garbage and one of the worst in the entire game. I wouldn't run it if it were a common.
-
The way I see it, adding kb/m as a choice for consoles means that those consoles are now a little closer to being on-par with the PC version, which can only be a good thing.
-
The thing I disliked most about the original MoM was its ability to effectively guarantee a rescue + escape during the endgame. This idea would bring that back, so I can't say I'm in favor of that.

How bout nooooo.
How about just killing the survivor with the key and then there is Franklin's. So how many times has that been exactly? You can't tell us how many times because you don't know how many times...so I'll tell you myself...not many times at all. It has been a rare thing where I have actually used a key to open the hatch and escape after the hatch has been closed...but the few times I have done it right in front of the killer's face have been very comic. It doesn't happen as often as killers want to believe it does but hey we have to do something to make sure we get that 4K right? If we aren't getting a 4k every time and some survivor with a key (which you can counter) escapes that is just totally unfair and must be stopped at all costs.
Franklin's doesn't counter Keys. They can just hide the key until they can use it.

Cool. You can force them out, AND they can still be unsportsmanlike/toxic. A permaban is the wrong response to this, but there needs to be some form of keeping the game civil.
I don't think there's anything that can be done about excessively crouching that wouldn't be a waste of effort.
-
No. Them teabagging at the gates is not stopping you from forcing them out.
-
BBQ, personally. I'd only run Thrilling Tremors on a small number of Killers that can just straight-up speed their way or teleport to the gen. IMO the cooldown on Tremors makes the perk a bit too unreliable to take advantage of properly unless you are one of a certain number of Killers. BBQ has more counterplay and can also have issues with info you might not be able to capitalize on the info if you aren't one of the aforementioned Killers, but it still has more chances to give you info you can maybe make use of.
-
I've thought about an idea like this, but I wouldn't have made it a Hex perk. It basically makes it a way more feast/famine version of Pop Goes the Weasel. I'd rather it not be tied to a hex and the numbers be reduced accordingly.
-
Agitation + Iron Grasp + Mad Grit + Fourth perk (either Hangman's Trick or Pop Goes The Weasel, depending on how they change Hangman's Trick when it goes live).

Open the gates? People complain about 7 minute gens when they're not pressuring enough, if they don't pressure at all they can be done in 3-4. Can survivors force the killer from being able to play the game at all? No. Can the killer? Yes, once he catches them. Killers can do things to survivors that they can't do to killers as well.
You can't open the gates until the game's almost over. So they didn't leave the game; they just sat there the whole game. That's equivalent to a several-minute penalty.

Dead hard is a term used by David Kings people (Mancunians). I use the term dead hard in everyday life to state how tough something is.
That is what the meaning of dead hard is. BHVR didn't just invent the word themselves.
I mean, it is not coming up on Google no matter what I search, so...

If you are a dead hard man using dead hard as a perk, you are hard enough to break a breakable wall no matter how hard it is. Dead hard does mean "Extremely Tough/Strong"
Killers can kick walls down, why can't a dead hard person?
Also, while we're at it, where exactly does it say that "dead hard" means "extremely tough/strong?" When I look it up on Google, I just get the Dead By Daylight perk.

How does that sound logical?
How does Feng Min hear and see the killer break a pallet for 5 seconds from across the map? It's a game. You can't expect everything to because "the entity said so"
Why not? :P The Entity is in total control of the realm.

Because the Killers are powered by the Entity. That's also why they can hear a Survivor leap over a window from across the map.

Well I hear all the time that dead hard never works. So maybe if you repurpose dead hard to give it another use to make up for it being do broken it'll be a nice compromise to keep it an attractive perk to use.
Destroying breakable walls is nothing, it would never change the flow of the game. Just maybe add a layer of doubt which would make chases a little more exciting if you happen to have a person with dead hard and a breakable wall.
Or maybe just make Dead Hard work if the issue is that it's bugged. :P

Well that could work but keeping perks simplistic is important so people can understand them. I think having dead hard let you destroy breakable walls is still logical and simplistic.

If you start bringing in "this is what this perk means" then you end up with boring perks which have no use because they don't make perfect sense. Take deja vu for example, you can guarantee that it was a perk based on the idea that a Survivor was like "omg I remember I saw a gen here onetime". Not a fun perk at all and logic shouldn't determine all aspects of all perks.
Do you think Dead Hard is a boring that has no use?
