Can't believe there are some BHVR white Knights defending this sht.
Good lord SOME survivors manage to make even the most toxic League players ashamed.
-
Shadow nerf at its best.
They will probably put then back in the game as a perk.
-
Killer problems, move along.
-
They will look into it.
In fact, they've been looking into some things forever. Lol

Seems that way. Then when you camp one because they all try to be leeroy jenkins, you get hatemail. You beat them fair and square you get hatemail. And if they beat you its ez gg baby killer unisntall.
So true. I never got any hate messages from killer. Survivors in the other hand though.

That would be pretty debatable, but I'd wager that it probably does more than it seems. I'd be curious to see what kind of affect it has on the stats overall after it has a little more time to settle in. So far it looks very promising.
2 gens popping by the time you get your first hook and even start a chase sometimes. Very promising indeed.
Matches are gearing towards the early guessing of finding a survivor.
Did you guess it right? Cool, you get 1-2 gens popping , if your finish your chase quick ofc.
Did you guess it wrong, and everyone is on the other side of the map?
That'll be 2-3 gens.
And you guys even had the audacity of asking if the game is scary like a proper horror game on the survey.
-
I wonder if when the devs watch these kind of matches, they genuinely go
"Yeah, we're doing a good job at balancing the game"
"Oh that? That's just Legion, we have no idea what to do with them, hence we keep nerfing him to see if people forget about him"

No, but using survivors with the same experience level as benchmark is also useless. Devs dont balance around these people.
Which is the issue.

Do you people watch his other matches other than the ones where he loses?
He gets a 3k almost 90% of his games using his videos as proof that killers have it bad is just dumb.
You wanna use the guy that literally plays for a living as a benchmark?
Applying the same logic survivors should have all perks removed since the Depip squad proved it was possible to beat killers with no perks.

Without SWF this game would die. BHVR needs to balance around SWF and buff killers to match.
Will check back in twenty years to see if they have down anything to address the unfairness that is SWF.

It angers me the most when they miss a Healing skill check...

I'm yet to receive a hateful message from a killer on PS4.
Got plenty from survivors though.
Guess I just refuse to follow their made up rules.

Is there a way for me to check my play time on ps4?

Disconnecting when losing is a surefire way to learn from mistakes and get better at the game 🙄
Although I agree with you, sometimes you wont get anything from match but frustration.
A perfect example is going against a SWF in an map of their choosing. Not only are you fighting an unfair mechanic, which the game is not balanced for, but you are also doing it in a map that will most likely be stacked against you.
This is a stomp, not a learning experience. No point in seeing through the end.
An NO, they're not rare as the devs try to make them to be; in fact, they are quite regular on PS4.

They’ll probably go after anti-heal perks after the anti-Gen ones.
And then what?
Nerf slow down, nerf healing slow down.
What's their vision for killer game play?
Mindless chasing someone around broken loops while the others destroy the gens?

Let's nerf them and see how many survivors fall out of red ranks when we do.
I mean, so many survivors rely on them, so it would filter out all the unskilled survivors from high ranks. Isn't that better for the game in the long run?
So, anyone want to wage their bets?
Don't forget God mode SWF.

No they haven't, noobs like me had to wait before ruin update almost 30minutes to find a "redrank lobby" being rank 20 myself, just to get destroyed literally. With new update I wait on rank 14 up to 5 minutes which is more considerable then 30 minutes usually lol
Purple ownards is instant for Killers.
They screw up match making with SWF change it seems. Hence all SwF pull most of the killers, while everyone else is left waiting.
One more thing SWF breaks.

And I assure you, I'm aware of that, but that's not what the comment you originally took issue with was addressing.
It seemed you were just calling him out for not being as optimal as possible, despite the fact other players have also reported crazy gen speed.

Maybe, but that's getting off-topic now. This thread is very specifically about the game OP played, and I was responding to that, not to overall issues with game balancing.
Yet I assure you, OP isn't the only one having problems with gen speed, despite the skill level.

I can, if that's why they lost.
Not that I did say that - what I said was "It's hard to say whether generators were actually the problem there without seeing a video of your gameplay". They might have been, and they might not, but I can point out several major mistakes just in the way OP described the game that point towards the outcome of the match having more to do with lack of pressure than flaws in the game design.
I can see mistakes even in the video they posted, where they got a 4K. And that's fine, because they're rank 12, and no one should expect their gameplay to be flawless. But that doesn't mean it's not their fault if they lose. I never said, and never will say, that the game is perfectly balanced, but blaming the game for a loss when the player could have played better is a terrible habit to get into and helps no one in the long run.

The problem is we fall into a trap of shifting the problem around, while using specific scenarios as escape goat to justify questionable mechanics.
Op lost cause he play poorly, Ok, but what about everyone else who play better and still get can't stop 2 gens from propping right in the beginning of the game?
That's why people complain that killer is stressful. There is little to no room for mistakes.
"Guess the side of the map wrong in the beginning of the match, oh well, guess that's 2 gens before I get my first hook"
The game needs to be balanced around high skill lvl players, otherwise it's an inconsistent mess.

Did I say generator times weren't a problem? Are you trying to tell me that spending 20 seconds searching for a survivor in case they wanted to flashlight save when they didn't even have a flashlight to begin with wasn't a mistake? Would it take you 40 seconds to find a survivor on a generator with Whispers equipped?
You don't have to attack my integrity just because I happen to have a different point of view in this particular scenario. Maybe try looking at things objectively for once instead of assuming that anyone who doesn't agree with you is a mindless sycophant.
I'm sorry, but if you don't want to come across as someone who defends everything the devs put out maybe you shouldn't try to blame one player for a problem that has been affecting many.
If good players are having trouble with the gen speed, how do you think it is for low skill players?
You can't just say "it's your fault you took to long to find them" as an excuse for Gen speed.

Mine show its completed, but it won't let me claim the bp.

@Fibijean said:
It's hard to say whether generators were actually the problem there without seeing a video of your gameplay, but just from the way you described it, it sounds like the main issue there was that you wasted a lot of time and the survivors, reasonably enough, took advantage of that.
Is really hard for you not to play the Devs white Knight, hum
It's become pretty common to have 2-3 gens popping by the time you get your first hook. All it takes is a decent survivors to run you through a loop and the other 3 to not have genfobia.
Despite all the backlash they've been getting, all the videos/posts showing how fast gens have been popping left and right, you still want to blame killers for "not applying pressure" ?
People have been flying through the gens, killers have been using Morris and Noed left and right, it's ######### show out there.
But they, if you think your precious devs have been making good decisions, good fo you.

Oh I totally agree, there's still plenty of glaring issues that gotta be addressed.
The SWF thing will never happen unless they want to kill the playerbase, barely anyone who SWFs are god tier anyways. Most are just looking to have fun with a friend or two.
However, I do believe they said some stuff about looking into map size which is a good start.
On PS4, red ranks are full with SWF, I think 7/10 matches I play are against a sweaty SWF. Is exhausting.

I really doubt they will do anything to harm SWF. People have been complaining for years, and haven't done #########.
And whatever they do, needs to be big to even scratch the power that is God mode.
Imaine the outcry though.

@leyzyman said:
So, I had a talk about this a little ago with @Waffleyumboy about this. I actually kinda like his suggestion.
Make SWF the base power of the game. Buff solo to the same level as swf, and buff killer the same amount.
It seems stupid, I understand. But if you think about it, it kinda is genius. If every survivor is great, whether on swf or solo, then the game can be balanced around everyone, and not people wanting balance around the top tier of play.
No amount of buffs will ever bring solos to the same level as SWF.
The only thing that will do is voice coms for everyone, and that literally breaks the game.
Thus, I believe they won't do anything to address this cancer.
-
Try not to rank up any further. It only gets worse.
Purple/red is teaming with SWF bringing the worst map offering possible, as if playing GOD mode wasn't unfair enough.
At least on the PS4 is like this on my region.

Waiting for any devs to show up and explain how the unfair God mode will be addressed....
Waiting,....................................................

It makes sense since rank will mean nothing with the changes.
Let's just hope they show each players "Skill Level" as replacement so we actually can tell we're being matched with people on the same level and not just have to trust it.

Killers using the most broken Gen Rush Builds on PTB to false the Data is ok.
Survivors giving up to false the Data is not ok.
Correct answer: Both things are not ok.
I have not really experienced that. I mean, I have experienced Teammates where I am not sure if they actually want to play the game or just mess with everyone, but I guess thats just the standard random DBD Teammate(s) you get.
Big difference I'm afraid buddy.
If killers did in fact used the most optimal build during the ptb, they were doing nothing but to use something that is available in the game and quite frequent at the red rank. (Optimal players). It only proves that when played optimal, the game is heavily favored towards survivors.
Survivors not doing their objective to try skew the stats is totally opposite of what killers did.
Killers were trying to show that the mechanics and tools AVAILABLE in the game are not fine, while survivors are choosing to ######### up in order to skew the stats.
Not really hard to grasp, but I won't expect you to understand.

Alright. I can understand that some frustration can occur with game balance but before this transforms into a full fledged bash fest, let me clarify some things:
Game Development is a team effort. No one is the sole responsible for all the changes.
- Ethan and Louis are nice enough to show up, in public settings, and explain balance changes on behalf of the Design team. They are not the only decision makers on the changes, there is a Designer team behind them and changes need to pass through a lot of approval levels.
- Mat Coté is in charge of partnerships (licences, representation, etc.) not in charge of game balance.
I truly think this Community can do better than what I am seeing here.
They might not be the only ones responsible for every balancing decision, but they were the ones facing the spotlight during that stream (which in MY opinion was a PR disaster)
The forums are bursting with criticism regarding the Devs negligence of Killers' fun, some valid, some out with pitchforks.
Telling your players base to "git gud" during an Q&A is a very good way to warrant you some hate on the forums.
Thus, measure your words. You DO have 2 player bases. You have to address both of them properly, you can't just nerf X side and then immediately tell them to "git gud".
And you know what's worse? Had that developers note not been so biased, we wouldn't be having this discussion.
Had it been something along these lines:
"With the implementation of the ruin rework, we'll be keeping a close eye to the speed of the matches, and we have something prepared in case they prove necessary"
Everyone would be gold.
But instead, you guys posted this...
"We changing Doc cause we care about KiD A fun. We reworking B cause of Kid A fun"
Kid B got really upset, and you told them to "git gud" (imagine applying the same logic, you can't hit SKILK CHECK, GIt gud).
Next time try addressing both Kids at the same time. Don't wait til sht hit the fan to say "we are gonna look into it, we've learned from Freddy" ( 1 year cough).
And if someone has the guts to tell the half of a player base to get gud, I believe they also have the balls to take in the punch.
-
To quote the devs:
"Go watch some streamers, you might learn something"

Lol. Forgot to add "for survivors" on the end of your sentence there, bud. If you actually cared about "the entire game experience" you would've released the ruin change with a fix to gen speeds or added a second objective for survivors. Instead you guys ignored the impact this would have on the killers experience, while also saying yous are coming after the other slow down perks killers have.
Also, how about releasing the stats for us to see for ourselves. Many streamers and I see borrowed time, ds, dead hard, and adrenaline used just as much as selfcare, so until you release these stats I'm calling bs on that claim.
From purple to red, every match I see an average of 3 DS, 3 DH. But hey, it's a killer issue, so who cares right.
Also, there is no point in asking for data.
Kill numbers are busted cause of red potatoes and DC, that for some reason seems to be considered. And don't forget that if a teams consists of 1/11/20, that is considered a red rank match.

You’re just assuming that the decision to change Ruin was the result of constructive feedback. It was most likely the result of the massive amount of disconnects that has resulted from Survivors rage quitting as well as the constant complaining.
Survivors dc against Spirit = Spirit nerf
Survivors dc against old Doc = Doc reworked with nerf to “Snap out of it” and make him more fun for survivors.
Survivors dc against Nurse = Nurse nerf to the point where she is almost unplayable except by the best of best players.
Survivors can’t handle getting camped and dc = BBQ&Chili introduced to promote killers to not camp for the survivors benefit.
Survivors DC because of tunneling= DS introduces to make survivors happy.
So yes, many changes have been made because Survivors are poor sports and ragequit. DC’s are probably the best statistic for devs to take notice.
Killers should start doing the same.
* Large map loads in which the killer can’t hope to patrol without being sweaty? They should DC.
* Survivors bring in a toolbox to speed up the match whereas the killer wants a slower one? DC
* Survivors bring in a key? DC
* Survivors bring a flashlight, especially now with how they’re bugged to instantly blind a killer, DC.
If enough killers start to DC and make the game miserable for survivors just as Survivors DC against things they don’t like, Devs will react.
And don’t tell me that Survivors don’t DC as much as the forums claim they do. I play Survivor for most of my matches and everyday, several matches in that day, a Survivor DCs. They don’t care about how it affects the teammates, nor do they care about wasting the Killers time. Why should Killers care how Survivors feel?
I mean, it’s worked for Survivors so far, if killers can’t beat their strategy, maybe they should copy it.
Well said.

Ruining other people's game experience by playing in a toxic manner is not an effective nor productive way to protest a change you dislike.
While, no, it isn't bannable, it detracts from the fun of the game for survivor's who were not the ones who made the Hex: Ruin changes.
If you want an aspect of the game changed, you should post a reasoned thread in the relevant section of the forums rather than facecamp people who've done absolutely nothing.
I wonder what are survivors mad at, since they abuse the most broken mechanics in the game to make every killer feel miserable.
BT into DS into Head on
Broken toolboxes
God mode SWF with no negatives
