nah, let's not begin a game of attrition, mods have the power to simply close every thread they don't like, and there's nothing we can do about it.
Let's simply acknowledge the threat, and keep on posting our awful experience on console - which is the in topic argument.
For example, I played a bit more of survivors lately, and people were right: even if the frame rate is better than killer, there are plenty of times where the game stutters for the most stupid reason - Ruin being one of those, like @big_fellas just said before me.
Yeah,
I've had terrible performance while playing on Ormond as survivor as well. And red forest maps.

Big maps such as corn and Red forest are lagging as hell.
Just had a couple of games in these maps as doctors, and I got a terrible headache.
Wonder if we're approaching refund/lawsuit territory here.

@not_Queen as the community manager,
Are you planning on issuing an apology to all console players anytime soon? I take you'd like to offer your customers a good customer service.

@MrLimonka said:
Probably the best tip is to not commit to a chase if someone can loop very well - especially when they are in a strong tile.
Also don't chase survivors in areas where all gens are done since your primary objective is to protect generators. Also use a good build - an info perk and either aggresive perks like Bamboozle/Spirit Fury/Enduring or slowdown perks like Pop/Ruin/Corrupt
This.
Can't stress enough how important it is to learn to abandon chases and tough it out thought the taunts.
The game isn't balanced around good survivors, and they know it. They will harass you the entire game, specially if they are a SWF with a map offering.
It's paramount that you don't tilt against "survivors".
I believe this is the hardest thing for at red ranks, not tilting.
The amount of games you can win by "just" not falling into their mental traps is insane.

I slug in my matches doesn't mean I respect it. Just means I am countering it.
Slugging is good whether the person has DS or doesn't. This is why there is a good amount of high rank killers who do it, and why things like DS are actually healthy for the game. Because when I play killer I can apply pressure by simply leaving someone on the ground. It is guaranteed pressure. This is why I don't mind if the player has DS+ UB because to them those are just perks that might or might not even proc. because they are too situational.
You said yourself that you slug in your matches.. and then proceed to say that unbreakable/ds are too situational lol I rest my case.
-
@ZephanUnbound said:
I personally don't use DS. Many killers at higher ranks are too scared to try picking you up if they know they hooked you recently anyway. Feels like a wasted perk slot for me personally, especially since I'm somewhat inconsistent at actually hitting the skill check.
You just proved how absurdly broken the perk is.
Killers will respect even thought you don't have it.

20 seconds to find a totem. 12 or 14 to cleanse it. 8 to heal in a locker. Just use self care. Less time spent. Unless sloppy
Please, use self-care at high ranks.
Killers will love you.

Here's an example, he kept dropping the chase with me, and got a 2k, then he went for me, yes, you lost time chasing the looper, but you're wasting more if you keep chasing him, it's a lose-lose situation, but if you stick to the chase, you're gonna lose even more.
Yeah, I agree you should drop the chase, but 4 remotely decent survivor will waste enough time for 5 gens, just cause there are too many resources.
-
Dropping the chase doesn't stop you from doing gens though. It's a lose/lose situation.
Maps have too many resources for survivors. That's the problem.
Like, why dafuq do giant maps have even a single un mindgameable pallets?
It's bad design on top of bad design.

How dafuq were you slugged at the beginning of the match?
You said yourself you had time to get up with unbreakable, and she came back and slugged you the entire match...
Sounds more like a problem of awful team mates to be honest.

The person you quoted wasn't saying discussion about the killers vs survivors was bad; they were saying whataboutism is bad. Whataboutism doesn't yield productive results within a discussion.
Anyways, DS is the only real counter to tunneling (despite the devs saying it isn't anti-tunneling). So to counter DS, killers slug. Which then means survivors bring unbreakable to counter being slugged. The next prevailing killer behavior (whether or not it's fun or unfun for the survivors) will yield the next meta perk.
The only real way to get survivors to stop running the meta perks is if BHVR some how hard punishes the killer behaviors that the perks are being used against. Only then can you nerf the perks to encourage more perk diversity.
A survivor working on a gen is nothing being tumbled.
A survivor bodyblocking is not being tunneled.
A survivor hook diving seconds after you hook someone is not being tunneled.
A survivor picked on the ground right after someone else has been hooked is not being tunneled.
Yet, th se are the most prevalent cases in which high rank killers get DSed. Low to mid rank killers do indeed tunnel like crazy, and DS work properly is those scenarios.
The problem is at red ranks, where killers intentionally avoid the fresh unhooked survivor (aware of BT DS), and get DS 40 sec later, after hooking a complete different person. Or cause the DS active survivor decide to tunnel a gen right in front of the Killer's face.
Add x4 this bullshit with 12 more second chances and you're gold.

Even in terms of multiplayer games I play r6s as well which unlike dbd doesn't look like a PS2 game and my FPS there is stable + generally just under 60. It's not a hardware limitation, just a pretty good job so far.
This.
I played BF1 bad BFV for quite a long time, and they run pretty smoothly compared to DBD.
-
Nice to see the support.
It's clearly something the community has wanted for a long time.
Let's see if we can get the devs attention. Keep it up people

Bags are a must on him but i don't think he should have the ability to hold more than 1 after placing his traps unless an add-on is used. Basically give him 2 or 3 starting but can hold only 1 after deploying them.
If we were to limit him to carry only one after deploying them, then he needs to start with all his traps.
He's the only killer who wastes time going around collecting his power.

@ScottJund said:

Yeah man that's literally DBD. Nitpicking tiny little decisions because they cascade into a ton of new scenarios where the game lasts a little bit longer. I have no idea if I could have stopped this and potentially could have made different mistakes, but it really seems like killers are allergic to learning from their mistakes and so they will never improve.
I believe most of the frustration stems from the fact that survivors seem imune to mistakes.
They aren't punished nearly as harsh as killers. And yeah, it's the nature of the game, but losing the entire game cause 1 bad chase is extremely frustrating, specially when survivors can just "second chance" out their mistakes.
-
Have they said anything about optimization?
I mean, they've been working on the new chapter, just released the hit validation system...
No hopes for us then?

Stop acting like you're playing every match perfectly. In the end we're all humans, no robots. You def lost respect with this post for me. People are'nt stupid, it's obvious what you and you're stream clickue do from time to time on him, just for clicks. Thing is, all big streamers have so many hours in the game, how can an average red rank killer even stop this then? I don't even think SWFs were the prob here, solos can do gens really quick aswell if they spawn right together.
I kind stopped taking Scott serious after watching a few of his streams.
Like, the survivors he faced didn't even come close to the level I see on Tru3 and OTZ streams.
Perhaps is just Europe that is a strong region?

and thats a good thing, it puts them out of position. You rendered that loop useless.
They will get to another loop by the time you finish getting up.
Idk man, I'm not sold on her dash. At red ranks is borderline useless. That's why I focus on soothe game down with the traps and anti heal.

Her dash is not useless at all. 80% of Pig players dont even use it so people think its awful. There is a huge difference when going against a pig who uses her dash at loops and a pig who doesn't. Her dash is incredibly strong at loops.
Good survivors will leave the loop as soon as they see you crouching.

They're just super boring and unfair to play against & don't help you improve at the killer. You get free head-pops with those add-ons. Workshop Grease is bad, you're right. I should've been more specific with the addons that are good on Pig. I'd say: Combat Straps, John's Medical File, Shattered Syringe, Video Tape, Last Will, & Amanda's Letter. Everything else is either absolute garbage or completely overpowered.
Her dash is completely useless past rank purple.
Trapp addons are the best at slowing the crazy fast gens at red ranks.
-
Same way is boring to go against a good survivor with a bad killer.
You're just betting on their mistake. If they are all the same level, well, GG I guess.
Also, I kind stopped taking so serious after watching some of his streams.
The few time I watched, he went against some pretty potato survivors, nothing compared to the really good ones I see on Tru3 or OTZ videos.
Perhaps is the region?
-
I believe not even the devs have a good reason for that.
I mean, Cruel Limits and Mind Break exist.... So, what to expect from the people that genuinely think those perks are even remotely decent.
-
This thread has now, officially more pages then the frames the game run on lol.
-
Spaghetti arms Freddy.
-
Let's pray the devs don't this threat as a fix for the awful performance.

Survivors are using indoor maps offerings.....
How pitty must someone be to force a map that is completely unplayable for the other side.

Hmm, I mean it’s not a terrible idea, but there’s so few maps where there wouldn’t be geometry Clown can throw bottles up high anyway.
Mostly outdoor maps. Think about a jungle gym, you throw the bottle above it, and pop it with the dart. That area now is not as safe anymore.
Something they really need to with him as well, is having him not suffer such an obscured vision from his own power..
Good Lord, sometimes it hurts more than it helps, as you can't see #########.
-
Come on guys, you're all just bad.
Clown is clearly just underrated, yet to be played at his full potential by someone. -the devs.
Now, devs, I mean, jokes aside,
What if, just if
Everytime you throw a bottle, you have small window to press the power button again, and throw a dart at the bottle still in the air? Thus making the gas area expand, in the same way that happens when throw a bottle into a tree upright.
It would add some layer of strategy to his bottles, and help him cover a bigger are during a chase.

From what I've been able to determine based upon discussions in his Discord server, this is ROUGHLY what I believe is being changed:
-Double Stun is going to be removed.
-Being able to swing and miss an attack to freely cancel the slam and not get a stun is being removed. This will trigger the stun now.
-His the speed at which his power recharges is going to increase.
-His stun duration is going to decrease to approximately what it would be to have missed a melee attack. Difference being his head is going to be down while recovering instead of being upright for the missed attack.
-Collision is going to be fixed so it's not so finicky with his power.
-Camera angle is going to be adjust from it's current location, his belt buckle, up to where it's supposed to be, his head.
Remember, I am not a dev. All information I have is tertiary at best. As such, the information I've got might be wrong. The three things I know for certain that are happening are the camera angle, the double stun, and the melee swing with no cool down cancel of his power.
Thanks for this info.
If they really increase the rate of power recovery, it's night suggest they want you to hit someone, leave then and go somewhere else quickly.
Spread the damage an keep bouncing from place to place.
-
I play a very aggressive Demo build that focus on eating away pallets asap, and slowing down the gens with Pop.
BBQ, POP, SF + Enduring combo
Play very aggressive against pallets.
Sometimes you can get a hit through the pallet with shred, break it with SF, and then M1 them with Enduring.
It's amazing.

...... And we all suck together,... Together.
Who gets the Warframe reference?

Meanwhile Now hex undying+haunted grounds you can get exposed 4 times in a match. Lol.
You literally spawn on top of totems.
I usually break 3 totems by myself on a match. (And still still get hit with NOED cause potato teammates couldn't take their asses off a gen for ten seconds to break a totem).
It's a ######### RNG system.
-
@Masochistic_Killer said:
My question is, is this going to trigger fast enough to stop the pallets where I land a hit and/or get a down, and get stunned anyway, because that's extremely common. Still this just seems like a variation of Enduring, and not as good, since it has a cooldown AND a totem.
If you get a hit, it's actually really good if they drop the pallet. It's a wasted pallet that didn't prevent the hit.
Good survivors will press W for the win and completely negate the perk.
Not worth being a HEX. It's like Cruel confinement IMO.
