Apologies if this has been suggested before but right now there's way too many dailies that force you to play Killer.

The daily ritual should always be dependent on which side you play more.

    - If you play Killer a lot more, you get all Killer dailies.

    - If you play Survivor a lot more, you get all Survivor dailies.

If you don't wanna do that, at the least have it 2 Survivor, 1 Killer or 2 Killer, 1 Survivor in the Daily Ritual.

I mean I'm with you on that I will never do that survivor dailys but maybe that's bhvrs way to say hey maybe play that other role

Hello behavior, is not a secret, the game rigth now punishes you for dying to quickly even if is not your fault, thats why, i still don't know why the game punishes me if mi team mates for example DC, the game is over for me because no one do gens, so killer just need to kill me rigth away and i lost a rank for that and even imposible to reach red ranks, to mention another example, if the killer camp a survivor to death, the game punishes you for something is out of your control, and again you lost a rank for that, is possible in the future do something to control that? Because as solo q i want to fully enjoy the game but is almost impossible to reach certain goals for that

True that really sucks maybe they should make it so you can't de pip if someone dc that should be enough. On the facecamp matter they are actively working on it and try to find a good solution to this its just not easy

Plaything to get them to break totems to activate Pentimento for -30% gen speed, Thana to reduce gen speed futher, Plague to prevent healing or allowing her to get corrupt purge.

Pop to top it off. Its a great combo idea.

Ah Okey sound really fun I love plague sadly I don't have plaything and penti.

In this boon meta you can work against it let's be thankful that guy didn't use thrill instead of pop to make then need for ever to do bones

With all of the perks and hexes that cause exposed status effect, one damage mitigation perk(that can only even be used once in chase) is completely fine. Dead hard is not a big deal whatsoever and is easily countered by baiting it. Just wait literally half a second and you've countered it lol.

I just have one problem with DH. Everyone always talks about how chases and mind games are the fun part and that's where you can show your skill. Well I don't care if you DH to the next loop it's a bit annoying but that's oke I have annoying perks to but what really grinds my gears is when we loop and mind game and I win the mind game because I had the skill to do and then E boom spit on skill at mind games the surv needs one button the moment his brain sees he lost the mind game and he gets away

  • Wait I don't get it. What is the problem? Pentimento or the combi with thana or That plague uses it?

Killers can dodge lobbies. Just let survivors see who they're about to go against so they can leave beforehand. Make it where survivors have to lock in their loadout(perks and items) BEFORE they can see the killer, then choose if they want to leave or stay during the prep time. This way people can't abuse loadouts while seeing the killer beforehand, but now they won't have to go against a killer they absolutely hate playing against. You'll probably get far less DCs that way. Me personally, I'd never play against another Huntress ever again. I don't think she's OP or anything, but between the visibly unfair hatchet hits and that super annoying humming, you'd have to be a masochist to enjoy playing against her.

That can never happen. What you said is exactly the reason why you can't see wich killer you are up against because people would just dodge till they get a weak killer or a killer they now how to counter. It's incredible frustrating to see people dc on a regular basis right now because you play a killer that is far from op but survs just don't want to deal with. If such a thing would be ever come into dbd they could refund every one that owns legion plague nurse blight bubba doc and many more because you won't get a game

  • Mhh some anthropomorphic rat would be cool. Maybe he got pulled into the realm by exident when a killer enter it and got twisted by the entitys power.

Sounds like a BHVR problem. Add a grace period before penalties start getting added.

Sure let's just stop using something I paid for. If you leave a game you deserve to be punished simple as that and like I said in an earlier post if you have regular crashes talk to the support to se if it's the game or your system

I'm not nor have I ever said I was at a high MMR.

I do play a lot of killers, so there's definite validity to the statement that Blight is one of the easiest killers to learn right behind Wraith. He's simplistic. Compared to how much effort I put into other killers, Blight is a killer I can pick up and get 4ks easily. I think anyone who plays a lot of different killers will agree with me on that.

I'm not saying I'm right. I'm saying what my experience is from play Blight.

Now here are some other things a lot of players are noticing. One is that Blight is getting played way more than any of the other killers. Blight synergizes way to good with a lot of perks, such as Tinkerer, Ruin, Pop Goes the Weasel and a lot of other slowdown perks that work off of generator proximity. Blight's map control is the best, bar none, because his mobility and ease controlling his mobility is ridiculous.

    He's just good all over.

Yeah he is good that's right I'm all with you and I think that's good. He is good and you can counter him I see no problem there. The fact that he has such a high pick rate is that he is so much better then most other killers but that means the other should get to his level. If you get easy 4ks all the time that's not a sign that he is op like I said earlier equaly good player can win against him they fact that many player can have so many 4ks with strong killers is because the matchmaking sucks. I mean what do you want do you want every killer to be at trapper level so any decent group of survivor can beat your power and loop you for ages

  • @Munqaxus said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2845001#Comment_2845001

Or maybe Blight is easy to use, easy to learn and does everything all the other killers do but better. If a killer out-performs all the other killers at all skill levels, that's usually an indication he needs a nerf.

I play a lot of killers and Blight is just way to easy to use for how much kill potential he has.

Ah yes the good old "I play a alot xy and that's why I am right" it's the best friend of "I'm at high mmr so I know what I'm talking about". First of all I never believe such statements because you hear them from guys like sluzzy and that guy is bonkers. And second just no. Just because you play something a lot doesn't make you an expert on how things should be its the same like all the guys repeat all that comes from otz like its in the holy book. Blight is strong that is true but he is not to strong. He is at a good level where you feel like you can compete against survivors that are equal to you. Most killer we have are to weak and need a buff to come closer to blight. If you really play as much killer as you say you would think the same. It's bad balancing that almost all killer in this game get left behind the more your skill advances and the higher you get in mmr. There is a reason why only a hand full of killer get played by the top knotch of players and if blight is so bsuted like you say that would mean at high mmr there should be no game the survs ever win against him because to that "super strong killer" comes the skill of these players

This is definitely one of the hottest topics.

But the only idea I can think of about it is to make sure that Bubba can't use the chainsaw within a certain range of the hook.

We already have killers like the Artist who have this mechanic, in fact with it it is not possible to place crows within a certain range of the hooks.

That's true artist can't do that but that's more to prevent her sniping while camping not to prevent u hooks. The big problem is if you say he can't activate it in a certain area he is just stand far enaugh away he makes good distance with his power. If you say the chainsaw just stops in a certain area around the hook you basically make it a save area to run when it's not a camping Bubba. Facecamping is a thing that is hard to work on without opening a way to abuse a Mechanik for the survivor the past shows that. And it's hard to decide when is camping Okey the devs already said proximity camping is totally fine and only facecamping is a problem but then you have situation like endgame where not going away is the right move. But if you say whatever Mechanik that prevents facecamping stops when the doors are open they just get 99 same goes for last gen. As long as we have swf it's incredible difficult to do anything against facecamping that a good cordinatet team can't abuse

Honestly with how often DBD crashes for a lot of people, they really need to stop giving DC penalties again.

It's been crashing left and right since Boil Over got reworked.

Not like the penalty has really done anything in ages besides piss people off. Disconnects are as common as they used to be again, regardless of if it's crash or rage quit.

No every time the penalty is off it gets way worse to a point where you can just stop playing certain killer not because they are very strong like nurse or blight but because survs don't like to face them. I'm a Legion and plague main and the last time the penalty was of I needed to stop playing all together because every match I had had 4 dcs

  • Well to my knowledge there is no way for the game to know why the connection to you got broken so for the system a dc is a dc. If you have a crash from time to time or internet problems from time to time your penalty should be more then 5min.

If you have multiple crashes per day you should contact support to see if it's a game problem or a problem with your system.

If you have either spotty connection for a short duration or bad internet in general we'll that's on you. If you have a day where your internet is spotty just stop playing after 2 or 3 dc and if your internet is so bad in general you should stop playing altogether till you have more stable internet

Last 'bully squad' I had (same name/same skin...except the console solo) went like this:

-played normally...lots of wiggle offs due to Breakout and Boil Over

-killed swf1 with 1 gen left

-downed and dropped swf2 (couldn't make it to hook anyway) to chase and kill swf3

    -downed solo player

-waited for swf2 to bleed out and gave solo hatch

In the endgame chat, they went absolutely wild about how I wasted all their time and gave "the console the hatch."

I explained that, given the playstyle they chose to use, I could not hook swf2 and opted not to give them a free win.

They then tried to say that I held them hostage by bleeding out swf2 and they were forced to wait.

I explained that grouping, and by extension waiting on said group, is a conscious decision that they made, just like it was one for me to slug and give the random the hatch.

They then said some other stuff, but I explained that, actually understanding the game rules and mechanics makes it hard to have a discussion with groups that just want to bully and dogpile in the endgame chat.

*insert torrent of abuse and racism*

I told them I'd stick around as long as they wanted so the next person they would play would be spared their infantile tirades and mentioned that I'm getting a 3:1 return on wasting their time.

    *chat disconnected*

I had a similar thing happen to me on rpd one guy always runs to the armory because with boilover and how far the next hook was I tryed to hook him already three times from there I let him bleed but he had a boon to get up again and again that was upstairs. So I waited with him downing him like 10 time till he was dead the last guy could have left but wanted to help his buddy so both died and they exploded in chat

  • First of all I don't think dbd is the right place for that. It would be kinda weird seeing survivor that should be in a state of fear because they are forced to endure this horrific world standing around dancing.

And second we don't really want the devs to go down that rabbit hole putting money and man power into stuff like that do we?

Exactly. There’s a Krampus, which is from southern Germany and the alps, the Oktoberfest skins which is focused on Bavaria, and thats it. I’d really like a killer from northern Germany, since most pop culture focuses on the south

Yeah right we have so much cool folklore that could be made into a killer. I don't like that Germany is always condensed down to the south. We even could get some ww2 related killer cause back then they tryed all kinds of strange ocult stuff to make a super soldier and to find magic artifacts

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2840994#Comment_2840994

Yes, because you are literally not intended to reliably wiggle off by yourself. Ever. That is why hook sabotaging/bodyblocking/protection hits/wiggling perks (eg, Breakout/Boil Over) exist. Wiggling would be busted if it was even slightly reliable in succeeding with zero outside help. The entire reason it was implemented in the first place is so the killer can't take the survivor to the basement across the entire map (without the aid of a lot of things like Mad Grit/Agitation/etc) + preventing the killer from taking the game hostage (since it pauses the bleedout timer).

Exactly that. Wiggling only exists to nerv the basement and to prevent from taking you with me on a trip so no one can rescue you. Just yesterday I had a match on rpd where one survivor sprintet to the armory every chase because with Boil over I just wasn't able to get her on a hook and upstairs was a boon so I coulnd slug her because exponentiall. So I decided to stand next to her downing her like 10 times till she finally died and then got ######### in chat for camping her.

It sounds like you have unreasonable expectations for casual players. Get better at the game... give me a break. How can I be prepared for skill checks like that when they were never in the game like that other than that glyph challenge? Now survivors all have to assume the killer has yet another perk in their loadout. This is just another thing survivor mains are going to have to worry about every match and I feel like its going to get old fast.

Same goes for killer. We also have to be prepared for a number of perks you might have

Yeah so the ranks you see are good for nothing. Only for the BP reward it has absolutely nothing to do witch mmr or matchmaking all it does is show that this person played enough this month to reach iri

She is lovely, but does she own the rights to her image (ripley) in aliens

I am not completely sure about her owning Ripley as well but I am pretty sure if she didn't want to get her face used it's not possible even if bhvr gets the whole alien license from Disney. And I just remembered that the xenomorph is in fortnite so Disney is open for such things and it can't be that expensive if they bought it for fortnite

  • @Mooks said:

There is license issues as it is owned by Disney and it’s not exactly easy to get the rights to use the license from them. And on top of that it would probably be the most expensive license for BHVR yet because of that? (That’s of course just speculation though)

but I definitely want Alien as I love the movies. Though we would also need Ripley in the likeness of Sigourney Weaver - which is another reason it’s gonna be difficult/expensive to get..

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/WUMORD9C7LJ2/b4823487-24d5-4575-b2b4-b48c33d156ae.png

Yes that would probably be the most expensive license that bhvr will ever get but you need to invest to keep the game rolling and that license would probably bring a lot of new and old players to the game.

And with Ripley I don't think it will be a huge problem to get the license because Sigourney weaver is a sweetheart and I can see her loving the idea of Dbd

  • Ahh Okey thank you

  • Something I was always curious about because I never faced this perk as a killer. When a surv picks up the pallet does this blocks me from kicking it? If so then no cd would be bad I think

Well, for a lot of reasons.

But in this specific instance, I'm talking about a game I just played where a David and a Nea wanted to bully a killer with flashlights and then literally threw themselves at the Huntress after finding out she had Lightborn.

Typical crybaby survivors. "WAHHHH they fairly countered my flashlight WAHHHH. I don't wanna play now! :c"

Stop ruining the game for your teammates and throwing a hissy fit because you get outplayed. Whether you get outplayed by perks, addons, or just getting mindgamed.

Yeah Thad sadly a thing not only with lightborn but with a lot of perks and killers.

People like that are the reason that from time to time people here demand lightborn nerfs

Back again to report how I lost connection and have a 24 hour ban. You gotta love how busted the D/C penalty is with how the game is rn. They don't need to remove it tbh, they just need to limit the time you can be banned to 6 hours and make it so it's only quitting, or a suspicious D/C. Like, if they weren't wiggling, then it's a bit sus, but if they were, or they were doing actions that take 2 hands, they shouldn't be penalized. It can't be incredibly difficult to implement a system that can determine your actions if the server can copy them when you have a connection drop.

But it is just not possible to detect why you DC there is no technology that can detact if you internet got out or you power or if you just pulled the plug or used a shortcut to kill your internet it's not a thing in no game because to my knowledge that technology does not exist

  • @jaawn said:

I have been playing a lot with someone who is brand new, so we've been going against many newer or lower-ranked killers, and it is way, way too common for them to hook someone and just camp that hook until they die. Yes, I know if the rest of the team just goes and does generators it punishes the killer, but that's assuming you can convince everyone to do that. For a 4-person SWF this is a way to handle it, but that doesn't work when you can't talk to the others and it also still feels super unfun for the person who gets hooked and just doesn't get to play that whole match.

I think there really needs to be some fundamental feedback in the game to discourage camping hooks. I know there are some point adjustments that do this, but I just had a long end-game convo with a killer who "doesn't care about the points" and admitted they do not care if anyone else is having fun.

I think it needs to be something like a temporary movement speed and vision nerf similar to the timing of crows circling over a survivor who stays still too long. It needs to discourage the behavior in a way that they can't just ignore it if they "don't care about points". These people are really hurting the amount of fun new players can have, and "good" killers tend to agree that just camping a hook is generally not the ideal way to play.

The thing is puneshing isn't the way to go at this problem. The game is at a state where as a killer the best you can do is to take one survivor out asap to get better odds at winning. Most killer are just bad when the survivor knows just a little bit about looping the game is lost so you camp the first one and get one kill safe plus like you said against solo q often survs try to unhook so you get more pressure and often even a second down.

To get rid of face camping killer need a good reason to don't do it because for most of us it's boring to and we would love to chase and three hook every survivor but that's just not realistic and the higher you get in. Mmr the worse it gets till the pool of viable killers is down to three

  • Ahh that seems familiar to me. I'm a Legion main with plague as my second. I think I had not one game in the last half year without an dc mostly the second they see my killer. Because you can see plagues wells in that little camera spin I had so many games where my camera spin is over and the first surv is gone

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2836582#Comment_2836582

I'm well aware of the "rules". I'm not reporting facecampers. I am however, providing a solution, not a band-aid fix, to a gaping hole in the game's structure. You'll be just fine without it.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2836642#Comment_2836642

So we're just going to act like it's okay that a person's time can be wasted by another player? That one player can deny another any capacity for fun by just standing there? I do wait it out in an attempt to still help my teammates, but that does not make it okay.

All I can see is the good old swf bombing the hook situation they run at you with three. Guys aren't that bad at baiting your hits. And all they. Need to do is ay this little game running around you for 60 seconds boom free unhook let's go. To the exit gates. Face camping isn't the problem it's a symptom of the game being not balanced and swfs ripping even that ######### balance in pieces. Out of 26 killers not even half of them is viable if you go against competent survs no matter what your skill is. But you say you are a killer main so you must know that

  • Ahh forget it. As cool and creppy cartoon or anime characters could be for a big part of this community is a psychopath that kills for his own fun and pleasure not killer enough because he happens to be an Korean artist and has a not stereotypical alpha male appearance. Same goes for the rotting corpse of a child murder trapped in a decaying animatronic.

  • I think with the declining number of killer players this could quickly lead to long q times because you faced a killer and the other three random survs also all had a killer so in the worst case that's four players that can't face your particular q. If you factor in the average number of lobby dodge because one of you has a private lvl 1 steam profile or you are at a stable mmr so killer know the people who play much it can boil down to a good amount of time you sit there. Not that I don't get where you come from I totally get it best advice wait 2 minutes after every game. It's not much just check you phone got to the toilet or get a new drink or snacks killer qs are so quick I think that should be enough.

  • @Lord_Xylum said:

I’ve said a few times I think players simply shouldn’t see anybody in the lobby period. That’s how DbD mobile does it and it works fine, and that way pretty much eliminates lobby dodging which is one of the causes of mismatches.

I thin seeing the name of the killer would be a good thing don't know why it's not a thing but the other way around its a good way to dodge potential hacker. I never played mobilem cant you see the survs as killer there? I think seeing them is a good thing so you can adjust your build slightly to accommodate items they bring they have the advantage of mass so we get the advantage of preparation

  • Yeah like in every other game. The tournament pros play on a lvl that it's nearly another game. • If it feels like it's survivors sided or killer sided depends heavily on the situation.

On one hand you have stuff like being legion camping while doors are open and three man rush hook you can't do anything about it and most likely it's an escape for everyone. That feels heavily survs sided.

On the other hand you have stuff like bubba facecamping and you can't do anything about it. That feels heavily killer sided.

You can see the game has situations that kinda favor one side over the other and dbd has a bunch of this situations but you can Bet your cheeks for every time you feel like it's surv sided there are people in a situation feeling the complete opposite

I'm not actually asking for a free escape, but a more punishing mechanic or perk. It is not fair a Huntress or Blight instantly downs someone immediately after a DS, which incentivizes tunneling. If the stun is so miniscule, it should be useable multiple times. They could give it 3 stacks or something. Killers are not afraid of decisive strike or borrowed time.

But you actually are asking for a free escape because you want a perk to be so strong I have to fear it and my only counter to not tunnel you aka you have a free escape because it's not worth hunting you down. At the state of the game killing one survivor asap is the right move because it will dramatically increase my odds to Win. A perk that is so strong it shuts down tunneling would be on the same level as killer perks that enables me to one shot you like devoure wich is a hex because it's strong. And let's be real for a second if there where a perk that shuts down tunneling you could bet your cheeks survs are going to abuse it to save other survs like body block like crazy because you know the killer knows its not even worth hitting you
