Events always bring back people who otherwise play 5 games a week so you see more toxic guys. Plus the people want BP dying early or dying in general steals BP from them so they get angry and you are not just an ai they lose to you are an actuall human being so they feel like you are stealing the BP for your fun.

The game is balanced for beginners. They don't really need to improve to get average results. (Remember old ruin? Funny how we could get those skill checks.)
When you remove the pressure of selection, you get a lot of inexperienced players in higher ranked matches mixing with the ones who actually have a clue.
The only way to play is in a team, which is also OP.
A perfectly vicious circle.
True. Plus the matchmaking is doing every thing to get the q times short. This affects both killer who get high lvl survivor because we don't have enough killer and survivors who get to watch the kids because we have so much survivors and many of them are new players
-
I don't care if there is a event or not I play like I always play. Typically when there is stuff like the winter event where you can get cosmetics I play funny vibe rounds the first day so every on gets something when they see me. The reason I don't play during bloodhunts is simply the survivors. I mean I get it you get extra BP and bring that fancy cakes and the grind is awful but I find farming incredibly boring.
So I play like always try to have a normal round but I had so many games during such events where I got angry survivor in the chat because I don't farm because they don't get to max points that I am a awful human for not following some self made rules because apparently every game during bloodhunts is a farm game Yada Yada Yada I just stopped playing

Make it that BT effected Survivors have no colision with the killer so they can't bodyblock you.
That would be a colossal nerf cause now you need every unhooked surv as if they had bt if bt targets would lose collision you could just test if the surv has collision
-
I mean yeah it's a bit confusing and maze like but that's what I like about it. It's a problem for both sites (as long as you aren't nurse) and I would love to see a hedge maze map in the future. Once you learn how the maps layout its totally fine its not like every time it loads walls get randomly generated so sometimes a way is open and sometimes not( wich would be fn awesome as a map)
-
No. Sadly the game just can't recognize if you had a crash or close the game yourself that's just not possible. Without the penalty the game just sucks. The last time it was deactivatet was when resident evil got live I think and it was so bad because you needed ages to play a game because people where dcing left and right for every reason possible. Some killers even needed more then 10 attempts to play a normal game cause some killers are just hatet. I just gave up on playing my main legion at this time because even tho legion is bad survs just had them
-

Looking at Propnight I am kind of glad we don't have this because I think it would more likely lead to having teams of same survivors and ruin immersion.
True. survs always say they only see the same killers and no matter how small the boni would be quickly you would only see the same survivors because there boni would be the best

Just remove hook grabs. I agree that suggestions in the vein of OP’s are abuseable. Hook grabs incentivizes camping because two health states can be removed where survivors are at their most vulnerable.
Even Camping Cannibals go for hook grabs.
If it takes two hits to down, near a hook or not, killers will be more inclined to actually chase a player since the advantage is reduced.
The fun of this game is the chases. I think this is the move to bring it back to chases.
Then remove coll down between hits or make it super short because without grabs there is nothing that stops them. From just running up to the hook unhook and DH away

I normally don't agree with you and I don't usually have a problem with camping but I do agree with you on this. He needs his camping potential nerfed because his power is just too good at it.
No killer should be nerfed because he is good at camping because that would hurt the killer in all aspects of the game and many bubba out there don't camp. Something needs to be done about facecamping in general not some witch hunt against the killer that is best at it and then the next and the next and so on.
But to be honest I don't want them to do anything. Not because I'm a big camping fan but because I fear what ever they do they mess up and it only results in a big buff to survivors so they have an free unhook every time. And I know many people don't like to hear it but there are situations where it's totally oke and the right move to even face camp and that would get screwed over to so I have to leave the hook even if the gates are open because otherwise some bs mechanic kicks in

Basically it's like pig letting you go because you booped the snoot. I definitely wouldn't count on it working with anyone except that specific player though.
From what a mod told me here once I would say that this is fine. A killer can choose to spare a life for what ever reason they want. Teaming would be when one survivor shows the location of another survivor and gets to escape as a reward. Stuff like that is generally counter as teaming and is forbidden
-
If noed is such a pain in your side I think it does what it's supposed to. At this point I am convinced that the reason they don't work on noed is that they want it to be that pesky little perk that gets you to do bones eventually.
And I personally think it's OK like it is it's an endgame perk so it needs to be somewhat good and if you look at perks like blood warden or no way out that's true both are very strong perks that single handedly can screw you over even if you had a good game otherwise. And noed is exactly that it can screw you cause it is very strong but it is a hex so unlike the other two you can actually prevent it to ever activate or shut it down very fast so I think it's power kinda justified.
Only problem I see is camper like to bring it and you don't have time to do gens and bones but that's a different story cause you can't punish a perk when camping is the problem

Well, I'm not saying that, as a killer, you have all of the freedom in the world, but it still is different from what you won't be able to do as a survivor. If you look it from a point scoring perspective, the killer is still free to earn them with a variety of actions that can also touch various categories. The camped survivor, on the other hand? He's just done with every single thing. His game experience just turned into a "mash buttons to give your teammates time, unless you don't want to. You're going to die anyway".
The biggest problem I have in discussions like that is that I know bhvr and I don't trust them to fix the face camping problem without screwing us over because there are times camping is just the right call

Because killer is the power role and supposed to control the flow of the match. Killers have their chance up until the fifth gen pop to stop survivors, and of course more chances after that. NOED requires zero killer skill, but also zero input.
To use a survivor second chance perk, they either become exhausted, get hit quickly after an unhook, use a one-time use perk (that require killer slugging or tunneling), or earn it by completing their primary objective.
NOED? Just have at least one dull totem somewhere on the map. Congratulations.
Ah nice you told yourself the counter no need for me to do it. I give you noed is strong but It comes with its own disadvantages. It can be cancel bevor activation and after activation and its a late game perk so basicly 3 perks all game with the chance for it to never activate because someone like me did bones its enough to do like three. Then one is almost always booned and the last one can be cleansed if there is noed so I think it's pretty fair. And survs also have very strong perks to save your game plus they can rush the hook with three so it's impossible to defend

I agree, I am not entitled to free escapes or hatches. But I am entitled to HAVING THE CHANCE TO PLAY. Which is why camping shouldn't be allowed. Because, you know, the game is bought, not given for free. Unless, of course, you'd find it fair if survivors would have the ability of completely denying the killer any movement and hits. Not to mention that why does a killer camp? Because he thinks he is entitled to get kills, otherwise he wouldn't really need to resort to cheap stuff. Oh, by the way, playing to win isn't related to being a noob and doing noob things. Even those who use macros/cronus on online shooter games are doing it to win, yet it doesn't mean they aren't being toxic or unfair. Words have precise meanings, and you can only try to fool people who don't actually know said meanings.
I hate tunneling to but survivors are able to stop you playing to. Since the blessing of mmr it happens more and more you get players that are way over your skill level and they love to 99 the last gen and then play with you preventing every hook. Sure I can still move but at that point it wouldn't make a difference if I go afk or hang from an hook
-
@Pulsar said:
Damn didn't know Clown was top tier.
Also, Survivors definitely haven't told me to kill myself after a match because they lost. Call it what it is, toxic players are toxic players.
Yeah survs would never blame anything else right. In one game I had a David blaming the actual weather to be to loud so he coulnd play right
-
Don't know why killer should earn there only second chance perk when survs have them without earning them. Oh and nice touch how you choose the time specifically so you can 99 the door sit out noed and then rush the hook with your swf for the nice 4e so the m1 killer can't do ######### about it
-
I mean that looks nice and would be an awesome skin but after the whole stranger things stuff I don't think this two companies are going to talk ever again
-
I try to avoid camping and tunneling as much as I can. I mean I don't ignore the unhooked sitting there like a duck healing and if I happen to just follow scratch marks and fate wanted me to find you instead of the unhooker well I'm not gonna turn around wasting time. The thing that bugs me. The most is in every game there comes the moment where leaving the hook is just the worst thing you can do. That's mostly in endgame but I get screamed at in t post chat like hell.
The moment I stopped caring about all this was when I bought the gunslinger not so long befor his nerv and was playing my very first game two lvl 2 perks and not a single clue about him. I got the most classic bully squat ever my first one at that time. Two tool boxes two flashlights and two sabotage perks and you bet your cheeks every time I got a down three people where there to make sure that this isn't going to be a hook. They took there time with the last gen at 99 and had as much fun as they could have and when they finally decide to leave I got my first nice shot and noed got him down and I somehow got him on a hook and I fought for that hook like hell. I got the kill and the post chat was the worst I've ever seen in any game. It doesn't freaking matter how good the game goes for them or what perks you use or what you do most survs will scream bloody murder when they don't get out even tho they had the best game ever and just died cause they where cocky af

We shouldn't have a DC penalty period, the way people play we shouldn't be required to waste our time with a killer trying to tunnel us out for 5 minutes while our teammates get 2 gens done lol same with a camping killer if you put our own fun in our hands people will start acting more respectfully to try to make the game fun for everyone.
Kind of like Apex for instance playing casual you can just leave your team if they're calling you names/slurs/being d*cks etc. You go over to ranked gameplay no one really dc's just because, and ppl are kinder because if they DC they're not ranking up, and if you make your teammate dc your chances of getting rewarded lower significantly but if you stick it out you'll at least get placement points. In dbd if we stick it out we get 6-15k BP that's nothing.
In this game the only reward for staying in a ######### game is not getting a DC penalty. Killer or survivor both killer and survivors rely on each other for score, I can't play pig and get a perfect game by sitting in front of a trap box, or if im a survivor and the killer just hides all game we all get 13k bp and waste our time, same with a camping killer who gets 3 downs right off rip, survivors and killers get ######### score in comparison to if every one tried to play to the fullest.
(Killer main here)
A perfect game to me is not a 4k it is 12k hooks and as much farming as possible.
For survivor escaping to me is not a perfect game unless everyone makes it out with as fews hooks as possible.
At the same time as a survivor we need someone to be hooked to get points unhooking them. We need chased etc. If someone is hacking or the killer is way out of Mmr the killer won't have fun and will probably ######### off and want to quit.
Ultimately this is a game and NONE of us should have to waste our time playing with bad team members, toxic swf/killers/hackers or people way out of our Mmr range.
This game was also much better without no DC penalty last year face camping bubba?
Sorry guy we don't wanna play with you.
Lvl 5 new to killer without lightborn? Guess what man you don't have to vs the toxic flashlight squad!
There are so many reasons we don't need nor should we have a DC penalty.
The problem is without the penalty people are going to DC for just every reason. I main legion. People hate legion even tho they are probably one of the weakest killers. Even with penalty people often dc the second they see me so without it I could just stop playing my most beloved character I payed good money for. And the list goes on and on the game would never the a full game cause most killer hate the map. You brought iri head as huntress game over after first down. You bring ruin undying better bet you cheeks you won't play a full game

Body blocking just should be a thing it would be better if you can pass through some one after 5 seconds (I know this would fix this particular issue just saying)

I would actually play pokemon that's not my point and it never was I simply stated the age difference in the fan base the argument Fnaf commonly use is the fan base has grown up in 5 years so yeah age plays a big part but that not my argument it's part of it.
There are tons of great modern horror games that deserve that spot in the roster but your ego want allow you all to admit this.If you want to run around and think Fnaf is iconic go ahead please, but when we miss out on the could've you'll have Springtrap moring you with ######### cartoonish expression
And you're probably 16 and never touched grass.
I never said fnaf deserves to be in Dbd more then any other ip I just don't think it's fair to brand fnaf as stuff for kids and to say adults can't like it i think every ip has the same right to get a place in Dbd and none is superior over the other just because one is older or some one thinks the horror is better. For me personally I am existing for ringu and if I had a say in it we would get alien asap and then it

You guy's can't fool me you are kids and that is a kids game 18 or 19 but you're still a kid but most of you are younger than that
But you make really good arguments somehow
I am 27 married for 4 and have a daughter and just recently got into fnaf lore and I really enjoyed it. I never played one of the games cause I'm not a jumps care fan but boy oh boy aren't you an entitled little brat. We have much room for discussion here and every one can and should voice there own opinions but sitting there and act like you are the guy who decides age limits to liking stuff is just ridiculous. Iconic as Resident Evil and Silent Hill tho.
Well times are changing new stuff will become iconic to the same degree as stuff that is iconic to us whether we like it or not and that's okey new generations have a right to there own horror icons with out us degrading them because we think what we like is superior
-
Talking about bad luck me and my wife both had games where we spawned inside the killers terror radius in my case it was mother's dwelling and the legion spawned on the other side of a big rock I could see him while the camera was doing the little circle around me
-
I like that idea it punishes survs that don't participate in the survivors goal and isn't to hard so you still can do some sneak plays maybe deactivate it when you near a hooked person so you still got a chance to sneak up on a camped survivor and try a rescue
-
Maybe we get something like that in the near future because bhvr is trying to close the gap to swf. But and I know many people don't like to hear it killers would need some buffs because the power of the survivors is also increasing

So what's the point of Borrowed Time if it's impossible to unhook a Survivor with it against this killer? A killer should not make a save impossible and how is this kind of gameplay good? Camping (especially with him) a Survivor is totally against the game and is absolutely not skilled, and especially with this Killer who has no effort to make. Camping apparently is strategic, why not, but do not make it impossible to unhook, which is the case with him. Disabling his power if he stays too long near the hook as a punishment for playing dirty is a solution against this kind of behavior and doesn't make it impossible for the killer to attack survivors, so I don't see how you are against it? You just like dirty gameplay, without any skill, and you encourage this kind of killer who waits patiently for a survivor to die on the hook without any teammate trying to save his teammate, because yes, I'm talking about trying, which is almost inconceivable against him.
And you too, read me correctly, I'm not talking about complaining if a killer camps, but I'm complaining about this particular killer who takes great pleasure in camping a survivor knowing for sure that he will die.
The thing Is I as a killer think that face camping at 5 gens is just the worst you can do and you show you have no skill. But if we say bubas power gets blocked after 20 or 39 seconds to close to the hook the questions begin.
What is to close?
What to do if you get looped around the hook jsut so you power gets blocked and then survs have a super safe unhook even tho you are there?
What do you do to prevent this hurting legitimate camping like doors are powered why should I leave and give you a chance to unhook there is no game play reason

Nostalgia can be bad in that it makes you see something as good when it isn't. And it's not (IMO).
Another reason I personally don't want to see it is that the list of better options is really, really long.
But hey, these things are subjective. If someone sees FNAF as truly scary, more power to them. I can't wrap my brain around it, but everyone is entitled to like what they like. But to me it would be completely out of place in DBD.
If BHVR wants to make a DBD Jr., Springtrap and the Scooby Doo crew, that would be great for some nostalgic kicks.
Sure in the end it is all subjective for me the Scooby-Doo crew as skins and springtrap would work since I believe bhvr would give them a nice mature feeling but I totally get why other don't see it that way.
It's like trickster you often see people say he shouldn't be in Dbd cause he isnt scary and just a Popstar they would beat up in an alley and I think normal people that just snapped and like to kill are even more scary then some monsters
-

So you just gave one of the most powerful killers in the game 3 very powerful buffs and removed all of the counterplay that killer has. Now what? That's it, just make one of the best killers better?
Wait what? That needs to be sarcasm right? If they are this powerful why do you never see them I play since shortly after they released and I only faced them once till I stopped playing surv and my wife that played only surv lately faced them and she was very excited because that was like the third time she faced them ever
-
I like that. I never understood why killer only have 4 perks because I don't have the feeling killer perks are that much stronger then survivor perks and they got 16 and since many perks affect other survs and not only you i think it's time to give killer at least one or maybe even two more slots but with some restrictions because I think slowdown builds would get way to strong so maybe just limit it to one of there own perks and one general perk

FNAF is a pure jumpscare generator with zero substantive psychological horror elements. I resent it like I resent movies that lean only on jumpscares for their "horror". And though Springtrap is the least so, all the killers therein are cartoonish and virtually impossible to take seriously on their own merit.
Given the primary demographic for DBD are adolescents, and many of them were fans of FNAF when they were kids, it's understandable they they view the games and its characters through a nostalgic lens, and as better and deeper than they actually were. Kind of like gen X'ers and Star Wars (let's see how many people I can piss off, lol).
DBD bringing in FNAF would be like the Simpsons/Family Guy crossover, or putting Goosebumps in a compilation of the masters of horror. Selling off the last vestiges of your dignity in the name of broadening your audience.
JMHO.
Yeah the most people might see it through some nostalgic lenses but is that something bad? I heard more then one time since I play dbd that many people were down for Scooby-Doo skin for the original 4 survivors and that would be kinda strange to but on the other hand really awesome cause bhvr can make it in there own art style and then they lose that comic feeling that makes them not scary same goes for springtrap. A rotting corps trapt in an animatronic in dbds style sounds great in my book
-
Hey my man Leslie isn't that lame. The movie was just great but sure as a slasher killer he is as basic as it get but that is kinda the point I think. Maybe a trapper skin in his style would be better

I dont need to tell him how to play. He completed doom eternal age 9, many other games before that. But thanks for the advice . I only play these games to stay in the loop. If it were up to me he wouldnt play multiplayer. Because people suck. They dont play for fun, they play to satisfy their weak ego.

Im a killer too. Never play survivor. I get 1 k every 3 or 4 games. I know what you mean. At end game i just wonder over to a fire drum and ignore them. Obviously once gate opens. Its drives them mad that i dont care. Its just a game. But my kid plays survivor, he plays nice and it guts me watching him get face camped by a killer desperate for a kill. Thats all.
Hey man I'm a survivor sometimes to I know that it sucks but that why I said camping at 5 gens sucks. But at 1 gen and 0 kills or if the gates are powered it's the right move. I'm a father two seeing my kid frustrated sucks but it's an multi-player game the killer is a gamer two that wants to succeed to maybe teach you child how to play killer so he gets a better understanding why killer camp doesn't help with the stupid guys that camp for enjoyment but helps to understand why it's the only right move sometimes

You can defend, its about face camping, just move back a bit thats all. They post was about face camping
Give me one good reason to not stand directly in front of you if all gens are done or only one is left and I have 0 kills or the simple fact I acknowledge the survs are simply better this is my first hook after eight downs and I just want to secure that kill. Facecamping at 5 gens is scummy ######### but killers are at there weakest atm and can get bullied so easy so every of these simple fixes to facecamping will only result in killing every legitimate case of camping and will make it even easier for groups to get there consistentl 4e

You can't compare that. Admittedly, this is a matter of taste, so there really isn't a right answer.
But to me, It is just trickster in a stage costume and how many times have we seen that? All of his costumes have been that minus Pressured Performer. They could of had a more entity version of cupid, an inucubus or even brought something out of world folklore relating to love but twisted.
Like give us something new and interesting to look at and not just Trickster at another gig for $15.
He legit has a arrow in his chest in a beading heart and the remains of his cut of wings that are still bleeding. I would say that counts as twisted folklore about love and sure its a stage outfir but I kinda think it already is twisted by the entity because the heart and the wings are bleeding which atleast for me looks kinda supernatural

I understand that it's a bit frustrating that you are doomed to die but I my mind pig used her poor ability to the most extent

If you camp or tunnel early game because that's the only way you can get kills then maybe you are just going against too good survivors and your real place would be in a bit lower MMR.
Wait maybe I got your idea wrong. You want to give extra hook stages to survs right? So no matter if I camp or not I have to get mor hooks over all. When I don't camp I have to make more chases wich eat a ton of time right now.
And yes you are right I think my place should be lower in mmr to but the whole mmr system isn't working when I go against players with 3khours and more regularly and I have only 200 something is wrong I have many games I go out with 0k sometimes not even every survs sees a hook cause they are simply better wich I know but I can't controlle wich survs I get so sometimes I just need to get nasty or the game is just a beat the killer till he cry party
