Really? That's kinda "meh".
Really is, I really enjoyed The Oni's and Doc's POV theme. I just hope if they fix this they also re-add event music in the survivor and killer lobby since you can only hear it in the main menu.
-
since The Twins were added, all killers who had different music on their POV have the same as survivors. Realize that the music cuts out instead of slowly fading away
-
Borrowed Time already had this extra effect when it was first added and only got nerfed with the release of The Pig back in January 2018. And with how the perk now gives Deep Wounds instead of its own bleed out timer like back in the day it would be even stronger, yes you want to make the secondary effect a perk on its own but it would simply just be paired with Borrowed Time to have the exact same effect.

Same as many survivor mechanics. You can win most of the game by simply holding m1 on gens and holding w in chase. And I mean it, you can win most of the game this way. Stack with all second chance perks like DS DH UB you can win 99% of the game already.
Im not saying Freddy doesn’t need some kind of nerf to make him harder to play, but it’s kind of mind boggling when the other side has the same thing but it’s acceptable.
Simply holding M1 on gens will not net you a win, how difficult survivor is to play is way too over shadowed compared to killers. They need to have good coordination despite the fact there's no chat to communicate and only some perks to help out (I'm talking about Solo Q only here). Its why most solo q games who has just 1 person who's a weak link/bad teammate ends so quickly, because for survivors to win its a team effort. As much as people give it crap looping also takes a lot of game knowledge that people just refuse to accept. Solo Q survivors deserve more credit, because they go through way more than killers nowadays.

I disagree with everything you said. Either you never played solo or killer or you just have a totaly opposite opinion for no reason. I suggest making hex perks more consistent like normal perks but still being destroyable/weakenable by survivors. If you have a problem with that why dont you have a problem with every normal perk? What you suggested is horrible designed and favours only one side. What I suggested is closing the gap between solo and swf because there are no 4 paar of eyes who can spot that one unfortunate totem but you will need to destroy a few of them to reduce the power to a non threatening amout. Sorry but you kinda refuse to understand my point.

There are some key differences between this idea and Undying, though:
1) Cleansing the wrong Hex totem with Undying would accomplish absolutely nothing, whereas cleansing a Hex totem here would accomplish reducing the effectiveness of a Hex perk
2) Cleansing one Hex totem would affect ALL equipped Hex perks, not just one at random like currently. This means that on the Survivor end, they don't have to pray to Jesus that the perk they are cleansing is Devour Hope and not The Third Seal.
There are some things I did fail to understand and I see your point now, @TAG did help out with that. This idea might actually work then, still a little worried about the solo q experience of this but if they do end up making a solid MMR system this idea would be golden. Apologies for my misunderstanding earlier

No! You are saying "Hex Perks are meant to be high risk high reward" and I am saying: I want them be reworked to be of consistent power! I did NOT SUGGEST any changes to any perk! If you ask me I would make them medium risk medium rework. I dont know if you are a killer main or what you are, but if you ARE a killer main you surely did experience situations where survivors could not find your totem and you dominated but also games when you lost all totems in the first 30 seconds before you could reach one of them. With my suggestion killer could have atleast some minor effect with 1-2 totems remaining.
And saying its bad because some perks need to be reworked is not an argument! We have 100+ perks that need to reworked but the devs are doing changes only every 3 months to 2 perks at once.
If you want to make hex perks more consistent there are better ways of doing it, such as a hex perk doesn't appear as a hex until all survivors are cursed by it, totems only appear in the game after maybe a minute or 2, etc. Having to cleans multiple totems just to dwindle down the perks effectiveness would just be another chore for solo survivors and that was shown with Undying at its peak, sure it was good against sweat squads but absolutely overkill against Solo Q. If we bridge the gap between Solo Q and SWF then this idea might be considered, but as the game stands right now, no.

That is exactly not what I suggested, please read before sh1tting on peoples ideas.
I did read, and don't say that I'm crapping on your idea just because I see a flaw in it and giving valid criticism. Hex Perks are meant to be high risk high reward, the devs have said this themselves. This idea would simply make them even stronger than they are now with no drawback. Some of the reworks also have potential to completely ruin the identity of a perk, like Devour Hope or Haunted Grounds.
In summary, hex perks are fine as they are.
-
A few months ago Cr1tikal also played a bit, he didn't do too bad and he has 2 videos up on his channel
-
There's a reason why they nerfed Undying, this would basically make it base kit. So until we have a some what accurate MMR system and a casual mode separated from ranked, I'm gonna have to pass this idea chief

From my experience, this new matchmaking doesn't work at all, you will be matched with noobs one game and then the other game you will get high skilled survivors... It doesn't work cause developers don't know how to properly evaluate the players' skill.
In my experience its the complete opposite, I go against and play against very skilled players, since the past few weeks I've only seen a few odd balls, enough to probably count on my fingers.
Also its not that the developers don't know how to evaluate a players skill, its just its almost impossible to make a system that can accurately do so. There's way too many RNG factors and unlike other games, you might do something questionable that'll help you in the long run.

Completely agree he don't require skill at all, and there are thing like putting you to sleep on hits that completely breaks the purpose of clocks. Clocks are useless, if you heal yourself you will be put to sleep again, and if you don't heal you will be put to sleep anyway after the timer runs out. Really bad design.
What I think they should do, is like a reverse on how his oblivious works and how sleepiness is gained, make the TR only able to be heard while asleep (how it was before his rework) but undetectable/oblivious when you're awake but he still has his lullaby, being inside the lullaby will make your timer tick down but pause when inside of a chase. That way there's still a possibility of applying slow down but he needs to be more active and actually work for his pressure instead of getting it for free

PTB only lasts for a week, started March 2nd and ended the 9th (yesterday at the time of writing this)

You probably thought you read now a 5000 word post of a entitled survivor main who rages about one killer. But no, here is a post from a maybe entitled killer who tells you what is really wrong in my opinion.
Why do people hate Freddy? Because he can make loops unsafe, he can teleport to gens and he has strong addons. And here is now my question for you. What is wrong about that?
Survivors rush gens whenever they want to and abuse loops how they like and this is okay because, you guessed it already, they are survivors and they are always right.
Freddy denies so many thinks survivors abuse. Not everyone can learn how to play nurse or spirit just to have a chance and not everyone likes the bully squads so... Just expect that he is so strong and stop crying.
The problem people have with Freddy is he does so much with little to no effort. In a chase there's nothing you can do to prevent yourself from falling asleep which in the end makes the skill of the survivor not matter and against a solo q the majority of the time he's just overkill. And if we talk about gameplay his whole kit is just better than other killers, mainly Demo, Clown, Plague and Legion (I say Plague and Legion since Thana is normally a perk that people run with them, and even then they still need to do some sort of input to get their slow down in effect)
There's no denying that he's over tuned, and needs some sort of nerf.

Nah, they still show up, though super rarely. I've been playing for years and I still get the killer hint every now and then. If it does show up it's always the first hint, so it's easy to miss
It only happens when a new killer is added and you're facing said new killer, and the hints only go away once you've escaped at least once against them

Unfortunately, to get a Fume Knight skin, BHVR would not only have to get licensing rights from Bandai Namco, bu they would also have to convince Konami to let Pyramid Head to have said skin. Which is very unlikely.
And to get a Bloodborne Chapter, they'd have to deal with Sony. So, probably not happening.
Also, none of the games are horror. So, the likelihood of a Souls' chapter ever getting in is basically zero.
The last point of it not being horror doesn't mean it couldn't fit. Stranger Things isn't really horror yet here it is
-
As some one who plays both sides, there is nothing more frustrating than being a solo q with 1 or more useless teammates, and that's the majority of your games as a solo queue. In terms of stressful gameplay, SWF is very hard to deal with as killer but still manageable, its just very hard.

@Zozzy said:
I don't care what they look like. It can be a freddy fazbear that the furries gush over, as long as it is strong. Sadly this killer is weak...
They're most likely going to buff them from PTB, they have done with a lot of killers in the past
-
Got all of them, and normally rush achievements the second a new DLC comes out. Been doing this since Legions release. (Yes I went through the pain of obtaining the OLD Deranged Pursuit)
-
If sacrificing not having a new map/reworked map for an actual functional PTB is all it takes, sign me up. Because this PTB has very minimal bugs compared to the last few we've had
-
From how I see it, he feels like a better Huntress, mainly because he can deal with pretty much any loop in the game, doesn't get slowed while holding a knife up, and can sneak up on survivors. Al though I would still give it some time, its only been a few hours since his release

Okay Shroompy, it didn't post, so I'll try to remember my frame of mind.
I just get an icky feeling about it. It's that mostly, but I feel like Victor already helps you control the map.
Adding window blocking and immobilizing/mangling survivors seems op when Charlotte can move pretty well immediately after the switch.
I know that's why you added the aura detection bit, but I think that in itself would be tedious. I think it would create a need to not stray too far from Victor, and that would almost render Victors aura detection mute.
The buffs I gave weren't to help Victor control the map, it was to make them have more interesting gameplay, mainly make Charlotte more of a threat, but I didn't want to give her own abilities, since it wouldn't really make sense. The whole changes is to make you think about what's the better option, map traversal, detection/area denial or chase pressure.
And mangled is only applied if the survivor gets pounced on while they're already injured (same thing for them being immobilized, if they get pounced on while healthy, there is no change to how it is at the moment). This is because The Twins are pretty good at snowballing if multiple injured survivors are pretty close to each other, so I wanted to address that but also give a slight buff to it, and also stay true to the trailer since Victor is shown doing that.

Of course its hard to compare perks from other sides if we talk about strength, however we can compare it in irritability.
NoED is only frustrating if youre inexperienced
DS is frustrating no matter the skill level
-
Theres a difference between NoED and DS, a big difference
NoED used in low level can be quite strong as some survivors like to throw themselves at the killer even when they know theyre VERY vulnerable
NoED used at a high skill level is practically useless since they're only gonna get 1 down 99% of the time, since the other survivors are most likely just gonna leave as soon as they realize NoED is in play
Decisive on the other hand is a different story, bad killers will get punished by the perk correctly since if they get hit by it, they will most likely tunneled and bad survivors are likely to go down faster. When it comes to lower level gameplay the killer has the upperhand
High level play, Survivors abuse the hell out of DS because they know they can get away with it. Especially paired with Unbreakable it can be very devastating. Instead of being an anti tunnel perk it turns into a "I am invincible for a whole minute" perk. And it has the possibility of being used 4 times. Survivors will force DS upon the killer and stay in their face.
You can't compare these 2 perks, you just can't

I don't see a point in reading something over and over again, this post is nothing different than the thousands of other FNaF posts and its just getting obnoxious at this point

Yeah, and usually that leads to tunneling. Safety net. They get a kill for tunneling.
So then what does the mori have to do with it? The survivor would of died even without the mori since they went down on their death hook.

Just saying, I tried to answer you. I might have edited it too many times and it got flagged for review? Just in case it doesn't show.
How I see it, is The Twins has so much potential and its a little disappointing what was shipped to us, this here is meant to tackle problems and frustrations on both sides and make Victor more of a strategic tool. I can't necessarily see how they would become too strong.
-
@phyphrus said:

Legion is to allow you to juke him better since simply outrunning him or vaulting isn’t an option.
Victor is already very strong so they wanted him to be easier to lose while healthy
Yeah that makes sense, didn't think about it that way. I'll edit the post
-
@Phasmamain said:
I think it’s fine he can’t see scratch marks as it encourages you to use Charlotte more
I like the throwing idea quite a lot actually
Otherwise pretty good changes
Imo I don't think any killer should be robbed of their tracking, no idea why Victor nor Legion can't see scratch marks.

They didn't for Mettle of Man either when that was pretty strong as well so what's your point?

When ever I do use these perks I bring them depending on the killer Im using
High mobility killers - Ruin
Killers with low starting pressure - Corrupt

All your points are Invalid. FNAF animatronics bear have ALWAYS been musicians, and yes you are right about being behind a monitor, for the EARLIER GAMES.
FnaF released there final trailer, the same day chapter 19 teaser came out. On top of that the gameplay has changed, and you play as a LITTLE KID, and get chased by the animatronics, you are not behind the security monitors.
Here is the video shutting EVERY single one of your points down right now.
bruh its not gonna be FNaF, Scott said it himself, there are no collaborations for FNaF in ANY game.
Check it out for yourself
-
The only way I see this being licensed, if its a situation like Ghost Face where its half licensed and half not. Also they never hype up licensed chapters anymore, they did with Myers, Bubba, Freddy and Pig. The rest they just out right posted a trailer. Ash and Ghost Face were never meant to be revealed early. Pyramid Head was only shown the day of the 4th year livestream and we were announced a PTB the same day of the stream. The chances of this being even half licensed are very slim
-
This isnt to hate, but youre setting yourself up to be disappointed if this turns out to be another straight character. People speculate all the time and are usually wrong, like how the 4th year reveal was thought to be Candyman, Spirit being the split mouth woman, or Legion being a multi personality killer.
-
I still dont understand why this whole situation blew up, theres nothing indicating that this is an LGBTQ character. And I have a feeling its gonna blow up even more when it turns out this is just another straight character. How ever there would be no complaints here if it turned out they were

I'll believe it when I see it. The change was revealed like 2 patches ago, and I'm still getting punished for tunneling 2 and 3 people at once somehow. They're dragging their feet on survivor nerfs once again.
They literally specified on stream that the DS Nerf was coming with chapter 19.
-
Was the majority of your hours before your 2 year break? Because that seems like too little hours for that amount of progress, also I really hope this doesnt become an achievement as I am an achievement hunter but I also like to collect event items/offerings, and I still have winter mystery boxes on Jeffs bloodweb from the 2018 winter solstice event
