I mean I don't like the current state of the game either but I still play it if you still find something fun than keep playing it and if you don't go do something better with your time. that simple

I have to disagree. They're no stronger then medkits. The downsides are actually a pretty decent balance in my opinion.
Boon totems are like old selfcare (other than the healing mid chase aspect) med kits are strong and should be changed too but boon totems don't stop being a problem because med kits are a problem. Also what are the downsides? other than the range they seem pretty downside free.

I'm pretty indifferent on the hair physics to be honest.

I like hillbillys rift story it really makes you feel for him.

yeah I had the same thing happen to me on bill after I got a new blood web so it wasn't left over.

It could use a slight buff and be a little bit faster but not to much.
If they slightly buff it then they would have to nerf botany knowledge or make the two perks not work together honestly the perk as it is now is mostly a trap for new players. I think the only way to fix this perk is to spread the right info on how to use it or just replace it.

doctors hallowed blight skin they did a really good job on that one

WGLF and BBQ I need points and the difference between having and not having these perks is so crazy.

Well to reliably down yeah you aren’t gonna snipe but his throw range is VERY far from what people have already tested. You can throw at people form like 30+ meters away
Ok so you hit them from like 30 meters away now what? by the time you catch up to them the shot you hit isn't going to matter
-
@Daniel101773 said:
I don’t really agree. With Plague you can tickle the survivor with her power and leave, and that survivor WILL break and be injured a little bit later unless they cleanse. This new guy? Unless you land all 8 throws in a decently short period of time the survivors meter goes right back to nothing and you’ve wasted your time getting nothing done. He’s huntress that requires 8 throws to injure instead of 1.
Yeah like I said more like plague with huntress elements you reload at lockers and have to commit to a chase or injure someone quickly with accurate aim and go for someone else. How fast he shoots and how much ammo he has just makes him feel more like plague also you can't really go for long shots like huntress and have to be right behind someone or catch them in the open to down them like plague.
-
He is much more like plague with huntress elements thrown in like the reloading at lockers and being a 110 killer.
-
Someone is pretty desperate for up votes.
-
I agree but I really like this new chapters killer I want more killers from slasher movies but original ones like this are also good.

Silent hill was always boring and confusing to me.
That's fine but that doesn't mean its not well written. For example I really don't like the last of us games because I think the story and gameplay are boring but I don't think dead by daylights lore which I find more interesting is better you know what I mean?

Lobby dodging doesn't even matter anymore because the survivors stay together in the lobby. I've been dodged and usually get a new killer less than 3 seconds later.
Exactly I don't think I've ever had a problem with a killer lobby dodging after they changed that We see the killer line go black and immediately after another killer joins.

Not really anymore. I'd argue that it might actually be more interesting than silent hill, at least now.
I'm not gonna lecture you, but you should go read the lore. Its pretty cool.
Its not horrible lore on FNAF but more interesting than silent hill? Its far off from that game.

I ignored the thread initially but now that it's been "reworked" I'll bite.
I don't want an FNAF chapter beacuse I think the FNAF franchise is dumb, stupid and only succeeded beceause it was being promoted by infantile influencers to 5-year olds who thought opening and closing doors was good gameplay.
My nephew loves this series, he was 5-years old or so at the time, but the game was atrocious to say the least. That is not "gameplay" games we were playing in the 80's had far, far better gameplay than that tripe. He loved it only because his favorite YouTube influencers were hyping it and told him to play it.
But the "gameplay" of the FNAF games is just plain terrible. The series itself is also terrible, there is nothing redeeming about it aesthetically or mechanically.
If it could die a million deaths it wouldn't be enough.
I don't want the DBD brand to be associated with dreck like this. It would make DBD a joke. Of course the 5-year olds who loved FNAF back then would like it. But the rest of us would just roll our eyes.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/J5JGW4BZ3M4X/image.png
It would be the equivalent of including The Backyardigans in Dead by Daylight.
Yeah I can understand that I know that my dad loves dbd and hates the idea of FNAF being added because he thinks its not scary ,and honestly I don't really want it added either because if it weren't for the lore of the game its just a Jump scare simulator. Also yeah your right if youtube wasn't a thing the game would've died at the first one so I could see why people dislike the franchise as a whole because of that.

That's true, you didn't mention the new chapter.
I am still very tired of seeing the words "FNAF" or "Springtrap" every time a new chapter comes out.
I can understand that I was just trying to show how it would fit if they ever did a chapter obviously the new chapter has nothing to do with FNAF.

I'm just tired of seeing these discussions every single time a new chapter comes out.

I think it would be cool but I think they would do it like ghostface like make their own animatronic and story to go with it.
-
So animatronics play music and the next chapter has something to do with music so fnaf confirmed?
Why is there all this Korean influence then? I wouldn't really care if something from fnaf was brought in but this chapter is definitely not it.
Also no I'm not going to watch your 20minute long conspiracy video about a cross over with a series I don't care about.
-
The only real picks for me are Freddy, Pig, deathslinger, or maybe wraith everyone else would be boring to talk to.
-
Nurse
-
kill with friends mode?
-
what? Clown is in a really good spot now he is a lot better but they didn't buff him so much that he is top tier but he is a very solid killer now.
His antidote bottles aren't as good as some people think but they definitely aren't useless they can make shack or some long loops completely useless. Then you add on his increased load speed and consequently more room for addons he is a very middle of the ground killer much better than something like trapper, wraith, ghostface, or even legion.

Dead Hard
You can take a beating. When Injured, tap into your adrenaline bank and dash forward quickly.
- Press the Active Ability button while running to dash forward.
- During the dash if you suffer from the Broken Status Effect, you avoid damage.
Causes the Exhausted
Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds.
Dead Hard cannot be used when Exhausted.
You do not recover from Exhaustion while running..
This would add a layer of comboing with other perks to get a full value out of it. The powerful usage of the perk is still there as DH for distance but it is countered by more of the cast of Killers (POTD, Slingers, Shred, etc) )and most importantly you couldn't easily DH over traps!
Thoughts?
It can still be countered by anti loop killers but that's not why the perk is problematic if every killer had anti loop DH wouldn't even be an issue for anyone except nurse. Its like OoO if every killer was hillbilly or blight the perk would be totally fine but that's not the case and it can make some killers power completely useless. Honestly this just seems like it would encourage more people to run for the people or deliverance.

You can be rude if you'd like, all I ask is a good faith argument.
I'm afraid that you haven't explained why, let's say, dodging a chainsaw from Billy is not free, while Dead Hard is free. It seems to me that dodging a chainsaw is more free because doing so doesn't take a perk slot and doesn't cause exhaustion. But perhaps you're wiser than I am.
Now I think (but please tell me if this is not what you're saying) that your big problem is that Dead Hard lets you "gain distance," or you could say move faster. Is it worse than Sprint Burst?
I don't think you understand what I said at all I mean free escape as in it doesn't take skill to do and feels unfair not how much it cost. Using a deadhard for distance is when you use the speed burst mid sprint to get to a pallet and be safe which you can't do with sprint burst.
-
@fray1919 said:

Hold on, my boy, hold on...no need to get snippy if you're speaking in good faith! If you're operating in bad faith, well I guess there's no need to respond.
What is the difference between each of those and using Dead Hard? Why is using dead hard one way not free, but another way is free?
And for bonus points: what do you say to those who claim 360ing is not an intended or healthy mechanic, to the point that the devs (I hear) actually removed it from the game (at least for a bit)?
You were rude first but here you go.
Its simple Dead hard when used out in the open to dodge a hit is totally fair if it works on you because it takes timing and skill to avoid that hit ,but when a survivor uses it to get distance to a pallet its unfair because you would've downed that survivor but they have a perk to get away and that just doesn't sit right with me.
360ing is so easy to counter that it only works on people who are frustrated or are new and don't know how to counter it stand there watch them spin around wake me up and you whack the #########

Honestly, I think dodging a hit DMC style requires more skill than just using it as a bump for distance to connect loops. I'd even point to the reference I just made: DMC and other action games where precise dodge timing is a critical mechanic for higher end play.
For for how it would work, it's not hard. DH, when activated, could give the Survivor a "Dodge Sate" where any incoming damage is 0, but the damage message from an incoming attack tells the Survivor to initiate the speed boost. This Dodge State could have a time on it of 0.3 seconds or so, giving the Survivor a bit of leniency to land the dodge in the event that latency and such isn't working out too well for them. This would extend the i-frames of DH, but make the perk no longer capable of being used outside of directly dodging incoming attacks.
oh ok so like a skill check or like a quick time event? Yeah that's a pretty good Idea I thought you just meant they would automatically dodge if the killer swings.

Wrong. Survivors don't use it because it's extremely unreliable and you end up exhausted on the ground 75% of the time. And dishonest? I read the forums all the time, so I know what's posted here. The fact of the matter is, they were flooded cries for DS/OoO nerfs, not Dead Hard.
Look at the post from @Raja

Can you give an example of a "not free" escape?
dodging a chainsaw from a hillbilly, 360ing a killer, using dead hard to dodge a hit and not for distance, predicting a killer correctly. There are so many its ridiculous that you even say that.
-
@StibbityStabbity said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1981541#Comment_1981541
The issue for most people is using DH for distance, at a distance, to connect loops/obstacles. Most people don't seem to mind it used for timing a dodge before an incoming hit. That clearly takes skill, game sense, knowledge of the Killer, etc. Using DH for distance because you picked a bad route to connect two loops, however, only requires that you know you won't make it without a little booty-scooty.
Personally, I would like to see DH only give distance on a successful dodge of an attack, which can be coded. That way it would not be able to be used purely for a fart-thrust and would only benefit an actual dodge.
That's not a horrible Idea but then that might remove all the skill in DH if you only can use it to dodge a hit and I'm sure survivors don't want that either.
-

Dead hard is a garbage perk that I'm amazed so many people regularly use it. I am constantly seeing players exhausted on the ground because dead hard didn't work for them. The perk is so buggy that even if it does work it still just delays the inevitable for a good killer. If you're constantly getting bullied by dead hard, then maybe you should play survivor more with dead hard so you can learn how to counter it as a killer.
That counter is? Of course you can counter it when they use it to dodge a hit but when they use it for distance to get to a pallet you can't really do anything about it other than just be close enough to where you can swing through the dead hard.

Who said anything about nerfing them? No one "yet". But the way things have been going, the moment Killer mains get a nerf they want, they immediately target something else. Literally no one was complaining about Dead Hard prior to DS & Object.. then the moment they get nerfed, suddenly Dead Hard is a major issue.
"Literally no one was complaining about dead hard prior to DS & Object" Shows me that your being dishonest or are ignorant of how much people have complained about it. Dead hard is very complained about just not as much as ds or object because those perks are a lot easier to abuse which is funny because dead hard isn't even very hard to abuse in the first place. Its not just us dirty killer mains either some survivors literally don't use it because they see it as a crutch to bail you out of mistake and they want to improve at this game.
