  • My only problem with the swamp maps are the spots that the killer can't go through but the survivor can for any basic killer or just one where their power doesn't help its a infinite loop that can very easily be abused. other than that its ok ,but it sucks to try and find people on that map with a killer that has no detection power.

Not having overpowered survivors has everything to do with their powers, do you seriously think that if they dropped the horror theme they would add in more over the top characters?

    1. Killers like Nemesis are way too tall and way to strong. They can't even fit through the door, and the idiotic solution to shorten them is laughable. Their strength compared to DBDs strongest killer, Oni, is like comparing an elephant to a whale.

    2. Killers like Pennywise and Pinhead warp reality and rely on specific situations to hurt victims. They are metaphysical, and are mostly in the minds of their prey, they inherently don't make sense on purpose.

    3. Killers like Xenomorph are over the top efficient. They could crawl on walls, hop over pallets it's literally described as the perfect organism. Looping a Xenomorph would be hilariously stupid, not to mention whatever powers it would have would break the game.

I really don't like heated arguments, I would prefer if you would try to understand my points a little better so I could understand yours.

This logic applies to killers that are already in the game so its not a valid reason to not add a killer. Pyramid head can't hurt anyone outside of silent hill Freddy can't hurt anyone outside of the dream world. Yet the do in the game because the entity changes them to fit the rules of their game. I agree on the Xenomorph I would be really dumb to see it get looped ,but nemesis isn't too far off he isn't something like superman that just doesn't react to pain he gets hit around the whole game. The entity would have to make him a lot weaker but I totally think he could work.

I'd love to know who you think she is. At first I thought she was the old woman, then Yui because she choked the old woman and choking people is like Nurse's whole thing, but Yui is Yui so I have like no clue where she is in it.

Also it's not really a direct call out to the devs, it's more so a running joke because she still has bugs from when she was introduced, and there is almost no effort put into anything for her outside of nerfs.

ngl I've not payed attention to the trailers so I don't know what the stats or for who was in/left out of their tome trailers. Just pointing it out for Nurse to keep her alive on the forums :^)

To be fair you do see her at the beginning when its going by all the characters

A few days ago I got into a discussion about how the weaknesses and limitations of killers (not in gameplay but as a character) don't matter. This really stood out to me as the big issue with people who don't understand why killers like Pennywise or Nemesis can't be added to the game. Some people are so adamant to have Mr X added to the game that they forget to picture him being stunned by a 6 inch thick pallet of wood. Some people in the community don't understand the reason why killers like Freddy and Demogorgon work in the game and characters like Pinhead and Nemesis don't. I really would like to clear this up if anyone is confused about this.

Things do not have to make sense for them to get added. pyramid head shows this very well. Why is Cheryl the survivor she has no reason to be hunted or tormented by pyramid head ,and not a being that actually means something to her? How did the entity get in contact with a being who only exist to people who manifested him in silent hill? why does pyramid head even listen to the entity what is it even getting out of this? Its because pyramid head would make behavior a lot of money. Nemesis or Mr. X will probably be added for the same reason ,but its not like characters are supposed to make sense like why doesn't Demogorgon just jump over pallets ,or why does oni even care about pallets? I could go on forever on all the stuff that doesn't make sense lore wise ,but in the end gameplay (and money) will come first when they think of a character to add in a game like this.

Also why doesn't pinhead make sense?

  • That doesn't mean anything by this logic the devs hate every survivor/killer left out of their tome trailer. No no one can

I'd put her in the top 10-15% skill requirement killers in the game.

At least 50% of the killer roster requires near nothing but basic map pressure understanding and knowing how to run tiles. That's very little skill requiring.

We aren't talking about how much skill in total they require to be good, but comparatively to each other.

skill requirement for what? win against good survivors? bad survivors? or just to have fun? If you play nurse with very little skill your probably aren't going to have fun. some killers against good survivors suddenly take a lot of skill like doctor or pig where they are easy wins against bad survivors.

  • Yeah they really should do that more undying is getting nerfed but also buffed ,but the buff should be to make the perk useful for things other than what the pre nerf perk does like how new undying will be better for hex's that need tokens than ones that don't.

"Needed" ? Questionable. I mean how often was that stuff actually used. I know tons of people that don't ever take items in lol. I know I don't which is why I have over 200 flashlights just on my claudy.

But just like you say that they NEEDED to be changed so did mori's, I prefer the old ruin to the new I didn't mind it much, but mori's just ruined everything, should have never been able to just hook one person then kill them, but if I remember correctly killers had built in noed so I mean?

Not to mention the always changing of pallets, ooh and the fact that the got rid of infinite loops yet killers STILL have bloodlust 😂😂😂 I mean the list goes on

I think its just because you play more survivor I assume so your going to see a lot of the problems with survivor in solo que but I for example play a lot of killer so I see it as pretty balanced. Except for the top tier or tryhard players that basically play to get ready for a tournament or want to bully a killer ,but there are so little games where I face these people its almost not an issue. I think why both sides see it this way where the other is op or it is easy to win is because most people who play this game aren't very good and can't admit that they are the ones who lost them the game and not because the killer had ruin undying or because the survivor had ds unbreakable. Yes these two things are op but they aren't unbeatable.

I think it’s due to his high learning curve. Knowing how to use shred and portals isn’t easy and while I think he is good he isn’t good enough when most people could put a quarter of the time into spirit and do much better

yeah its the same problem with clown except he isn't even as good as demo

  • I will defiantly start playing him when they fix his fov I just can't handle it right now

  • Yeah they really should buff trapper more he is the face of their game but is often found at the bottom of peoples tier list he needs a change to bring him up to date. they should give him more traps and more centered trap spawns I know some games as trapper a trap is so out of the way I never pick it up.

Ahh that's it. The classic response to any criticism. I must be a killer main. Stop crying mate.

Your opinion and your experience of cue times is not the only opinion. You are wrong in that sense.

And the fact is the vast majority of people are experiencing 10 to 15 minute long cue times which is unacceptable. Hence why were complaining.

It's like saying I've never seen a bird therefore they just don't exist. It's a dumb argument. Made even dumber by your condescending jerkish response.

There's an issue with cue times end of. No ifs or buts it's an issue that more then one person has. Deal with it "survivor main".

It isn't just certain servers and it isn't a minority. Stop trying to put peoples experiences down cuz you haven't experienced them. It's not healthy for the game.

Just ignore them all their post are just to make people angry.

I think the change should have been something along the lines of this:

    -60 second timer

-The timer goes faster for 5/4/3% (numbers could be changed) while doing any action or while sitting in a locker.

-The perk deactivates when you reach the Healthy state or someone else is hooked. - Making it not able to be used with Adrenaline anymore in end game.

Otherwise there is no point to the timer in the direction the perk is going. Heck, there'd be no point to the perk at all anymore as it will just encourage people to sit and do nothing. Now you might say "LOL just don't use the perk!" and while I know this is what killers want, I could say the same about what perks you guys shouldn't use but oh no, I'd be in the wrong for saying that, wouldn't I? Please stop thinking you guys are the only ones allowed to have op perks. No point in perks if they ain't got a use or we're just expected to never use them. I suppose you killers just want every survivor to go perkless and hand the wins to you on a silver platter? Nah... pass.

But also, I've had those moments where I think I'm safe so even if my teammate is allergic to healing me, I still would prefer to be useful so I work for like 3-5 seconds on a gen and turns out the killer was just making their way back from across the map to come find me again. I'd consider that tunneling tbh as I didn't really have time to do anything. Or or if I think the killer is in a chase (like say someone got injured as I got pulled off the hook) so we start healing each other (under or nearby the hook) and for some ungodly reason the killer is coming back like no dude, you were in a chase. Go away. You can't tell me you hit them and immediately lost them, you just didn't even bother to try.

Tunneling to me means if you're only going to focus on me, whether you come back to me in one second or ten seconds, then you are a tunneler. So if I feel safe within those 10 seconds and try to be useful... well that's not allowed as now apparently! Nope, you guys get ruin and pop and stuff to pretty much murder a gen nearby the hook if no one else knows it's there but we can't work on it for even one second if we have DS unless we just want a wasted perk. But okay, next let's buff gen regression, nerf progression for you guys like you killer mains complain about all the time, but then "omg, you worked on the gen for ONE SECOND? GEN RUSHER! THAT COUNTS AS PROGRESS!!" Excuse me?

The new ds is going to make ds actually do what it intends to do punish tunnellers and reward nice killers.

I understand your problem with the change but all you have to do is be more patient and work around how the killer plays. If you think a killer might tunnel you then wait a second before doing anything. I know that that means you will be being a useless teammate for ten seconds but would you rather be a useless teammate for ten seconds or be dead?

Also if they have ruin or pop right after they hooked someone why would you want to work on a gen for one second it will do nothing and take away your ds when the tunneling killer comes back kind of a non issue. but if the killer doesn't have either taping a regressing gen is pretty good as it waste a killers time and possibly saves over a minute for the survivors if they comeback to that gen in time.

It might just be that I'm a whinny killer main but ds seems pretty fair after this change

  • I think the entity might have started it but she had the idea to do what she did bubbling up inside her before the entity. I think this line shows what I'm talking "She did what she felt was necessary." It says what she felt necessary meaning this idea came from her or at least that she was willing to do it. I'm not denning that she was manipulated but hillbilly and leather face seem much more innocent than she does.

  • what if all four survivors are linked to each other and the killers are all separate. In all four of the original survivor stories at the end they all get lost in a forest this might sound crazy but what if its the same forest? It would make a lot more sense because if Jake was with trapper you think it would mention him going to the Macmillan estate or something but instead it says this "Jake went down in history as another casualty of the woods." It might just be referring to shelter woods as a place where a lot of people died but It makes more sense to me for it to be referring to the other three survivors. Think about all four were last seen entering the forest and never seen again. Also all of the other killers just vanished because they never left and were scooped up by the entity at that moment.

Innocent - Wraith, Nurse, Hag, Spirit, Plague, Twins

A little Evil - Trapper, Hillbilly, Huntress, Cannibal, Deathslinger, Blight

EVIL - Myers, Doctor, Freddy, Pig, Clown, Legion, Ghostface, Demogorgon, Oni, Pyramid

Am I remembering the story wrong or did nurse kill 50 people in an asylum and innocent ambulance drivers because being around insane people made her insane. Hardly innocent she is more like the oni killing people for what she thinks is the right reason but it very much isn't. Its like saying Jigsaw isn't guilty of murder because he killed people he thought deserved to die what gives him the right to judge?

You're right, I am being a little salty on this. It's just extremely annoying to see the frequency of this as it reinforces the whole no agency for women hyper agency for men. It's not fair to anyone and I'd like to see devs break out of these stereotypes more often.

Still tho, you won't see near as much sympathy for trapper or Billy that you will for the legion girls and it feels like the core story really wants you to feel that they are doing it due to Frank's control.

I just want to have a really cool psychopath that's a women. A character where there is no argument and is a good old fashioned monster for us to play as.

Instead it's pick your flavor of victim/debatable victim....

If you want someone who is very obviously evil who is female look at nurse she is messed up in the head even if she was having a hard time with life it doesn't make what she did any less evil

  • In my opinion this is how the list would be. I'm going to separate them into 4 categories NA, innocent, grey area, and guilty.

    NA: demo and pyramid head

Their both not human and pyramid head just doesn't make sense for this question.

Innocent: Hag, spirit, Plague, and Charlotte

All four of them did nothing wrong and obviously wouldn't have made a deal with the entity if they didn't have to.

Grey area: Trapper, Wraith, Hillbilly, Leather face, and blight. maybe Susie and joey but they are both complicit in Frank and Julies crimes.

The first three and leather face had a bad upbringing or were acting out of revenge so it doesn't make them innocent or guilty because they never really got a chance at life and we don't really know if they would be different if they had the chance. Blight is weird because he was a survivor but then was changed to be a killer but that isn't what he was trying to do he was trying to escape but he got addicted to collecting and experimenting with the pustula flowers so that's why I put him here.

Guilty: Nurse, Myers, Doctor, Huntress, Freddy, pig, clown, Julie, frank, ghostface, oni, and deathslinger

All of these killers are obviously evil to me. The only ones I see an argument for is huntress or the legion members they are a product of their environment but unlike hillbilly or leatherface they are aware enough to know that what there doing is wrong huntress doesn't have to be super territorial and kill every thing and the legion members breaking point was when they killed the janitor they changed form delinquents to murderers. everyone else hopefully is obvious that they wanted to join the entity.

What do you think? did I remember the lore wrong somewhere or do you just disagree?

  • bbq and chili was the last perk I got on Michael life is pain

Unbreakable - The Oni doesnt always slug

Dead hard - The huntress can just wait it out

calm spirit - Closest to a counter as spine chill, the doctor still gets the notification that a survivor is shocked still, just not the scream

Iron will - You can still hear footsteps and see grass moving etc

spine chill - you can just look away if your trying to sneak up

so basically you want stealth killers to be special and not have to play around a perk

If you are on console, how do you know that you are matched with PC players?

A Player on PC can be matched with players from Xbox, PS, Switch and Windows store. Only Windows store is on PC aswell and doesn't have a big playerbase as far as I know (I have never seen a crossplay icon when it used to be steam/Windows store only crossplay), so if a PC player is matched with a crossplay player, there is a high chance that it is a console player but that shouldn't work the other way around.

To my knowlegde both Xbox and PS have big playerbases (a poll in this forum came to the conclusion that about 1/3 play on PC, 1/3 on Xbox and 1/3 on PS, it's obviously hard so tell if the poll is representative or not) so it is likely that you are matched with players from a different console (or it might be a mixture of PC and Console).

I've heard that console is a bit more strict with names, but none of the names in your Video contained bad words (unless you count "dirty" but console isn't that strict, or is it?), so how do you know that you have been matched with PC?

true I don't know if they are pc players but the same logic applies to the first person who didn't even show if they were cross play and even then they could be on the window store. honestly I think our two examples are more of a match making issue than a cross play one. I just wanted to show how the same thing can happen to a console player.

  • @th3 said:

I dunno man like I understand the frustration of console players who are good. But when all of my games with "crossplay" survivors consist of decisions like these it colors my view on how good they are as a whole.

Let alone crossplay killers. Those are only really noticeable when they miss as a survivor does a 360.

    https://youtu.be/18WMldRKFv0

I've had the same exact scenario happen to me I got downed put in the basement all three survivors never even tried to save me but they were all 3 pc

    https://youtu.be/PeKFzKD3S0I

  • @Orionbash said:

Have you played with PC players? They're the biggest babies I've ever gamed with. They go down in seconds as most of 'em can't loop and then either dc or kill themselves on hook. And if they don't kill themselves on hook they're doing stupid stuff like searching chests when gens need to be popped. So, ya, not a fan. If it wasn't for the fact that PC killers are a challenge compared to console killers I'd be turning crossplay permanently off.

I play both pc and console just because you have had bad pc players doesn't mean that good ones don't exist. you're probably just getting unlucky or your playing in solo que and basically all of your teammates will be bad pc or console. Unless all of your non crossplay teammates don't do what you have said which btw I have seen console players do exactly this I think its just a matchmaking problem and not a crossplay problem.

I thing being able to upgrade your perks for a certain amount of BP would be a far better idea

Or they could just remove perk tiers they only serve to make the grind longer

  • The clown changes and wraith changes are too little in my opinion and wont help them against good survivors. like for example the whole throw an antidote bottle to lead a survivor to a deadzone wont work because I have a feeling most good survivors will just use the speed to go somewhere else. And they really should've made wraith faster like give him one of the windstorms base because now he is still addon reliant but he is invisible and "some what invisible" from far away so it might not even help him sneak up if they notice his somewhat invisibility from close up but we really don't know because they were vague about it.
