I do but I hate it. But my inner completionist makes me. Is it worth it? Hell no they need to make it more worth it imo but oh well.

This might be my console player bias talking but just as a post on here nice one!. It's refreshing to see someone on here actually put together facts and make a well constructed post. I totally agree a lot not all but a lot have this big headedness about themselves cuz they have a computer. Also this links to pc players not wanting to give console players a chance at fairly earning legacy outfits and already existing ones. We never had a opportunity if I could I'd grind my butt off to get it but everytime someone brings it up like the other month Paula did pc players flip out. Gotta keep that gate keeping alive I guess. Not like they already have a list of in game advantages already

I have the luck as a ps4 player that i dont have pre and post game chats. The players only will post something on my profile indeed but i disabled that now bc it drove me nuts.
The fun to play the game is fading with all this going on
I'm on xbox and I get slammed with messages from survivors every time I win. I don't disable it cuz I got friends on their who message me. It's so awful how people have to turn off their messages because of how awfully toxic this community is more then a lot of other games.
-
Lmao acting like most killers want always 4ks. Such an over exaggeration. It's the same amount of survivors who want killers to have to deal with god loops and god pallets.
Both sides have morons stop acting like one side is ruining the game more then the other.

Lately it has come to my attention that a lot of survivor and killer players are playing the game in a very toxic way, like not helping teammates, body blocking each other and the killer, or simple disconnecting after being downed 1 time. Same goes for killers, they are starting to camp way more often to secure kills since survivors are being way too toxic, which results in killers camping and also not wanting to play anymore -> longer queue times.
Things like this should be dealt against more with penalties. why is there a report option if nothing will be done against it?
Not only do you ruin the game play for yourself, also the people you are playing with and against. I'm personally just a fun gamer, idc about ranks etc. I just wanna play the game like it has to be played without any toxic ######### and stuff. Also the higher the survivor rank, the more toxic they are.
Please do something about this, and if you know you play toxic, know that you ruin the game for a lot of us who wanna play normal or even farm with killers for points.
Toxic gameplay like teabagging flash light spamming, vault rushing to get killers attention is crap. As is being camped despite it being a necessary evil at times. But it's a game where you make the choice to or not. A free gaming experience. You can't take away these options because they're mean. It sucks but its apart of every single multiplayer game. Ain't gonna change.
Toxicity in end game chat should be a reason to ban tho. At least soon you won't be able to be racist, Homophobic or whatever cuz of new feature but still. No matter how annoyed you get in a match never say that crud. If you get that angry take time away from the game cuz it's a ridiculous thing to say that stuff over.

You would go LESS against weak killers. You would face weak killers only if the player is very skilled with it. But I would not say that you would face only nurse or spirit if you are a good survivor. Maybe only the top 1% of survivors could be affected by less killer variability, but if it would happen the system can be fine tuned to enable greater ranking differences in those high rankings.
If somebody gets good at weak killer then they should go against good survivors. What's your problem with that? There should be always a challenge. And if the system sees that you can't handle good survivors it will lower your ranking for that killer and you will face a bit weaker survivors.
Btw I am just amazed how negative some people are, refusing proposals immediately as dumb, coming up with exaggerated or unrealistic counterarguments. No wonder BHVR does not discuss anything with the community.
To call your idea dumb you act is like a personal attack. It's not. That's where you and the devs go wrong. Harsh criticism? Heck yeah! We don't have to pepper every sentence with a half compliment to make you feel better. Grow up!
Again. I don't refer to you as dumb nor do I the devs. It's like if I said Oh that was a dumb decision, your choice was dumb not you as a person. Secondly my totally insane criticism was this is never gonna happen. DBD as itself just could not work like this. Isolating any part of the community is terrible. Things that aren't even related get affected which you haven't considered or spoken about. Cue times, swf across skill levels, different opinions(theres no definitive tier list), unlimited variables a system like you suggest that happen in a match that break the system.
Here's an idea. Why not just match new players.....with new killed players. Weak killer players...with weak survivors. Forgot oh it's okay this whole character is weak. Nah. They shouldn't be weak. Its dependent on the players skill. Not the killer. A killer can be in your view good but a new killer player could play awful. This isn't the only hole in your idea but that's one.
I love that you try and defend behaviours lack of communication basically saying we as a community are too mean. I don't know how old you are but I know behaviours employees age range. Their adults. No. There a company, a business. If they can't handle not having their backside kissed then they shouldn't be in the business. Theres no excuse for terrible communication.

I think if MMR is properly implemented, not every killer needs to be strong.
Depending on the killer and the player skill matchmaking could work something like this:
strong killer + good player = good survivors
strong killer + bad player = medium survivors
weak killer + good player = medium survivors
weak killer + bad player = bad survivors
Yes, it could mean that most often the best survivors would never face the weakest killers and the worst survivors would never face the strongest killers.
What do you think?
This would be god awful. Basically if your too good as a survivor your never gonna go against a variety of killers. As it stands at least in a day I see a variety of killers. Just spirits, the odd nurse and maybe hag sounds garbage. Not to mention if someone gets good at a weak killer they're eventually gonna get to facing those amazing survivors so the problem would just happen their. Weak killers shouldn't exist. End of story. Survivors grow and get better. They eventually start facing strong killers but start off facing weak ones. That's how it should be. Limiting killers you can verse is extremely dumb.
-
I’ve been wondering that. Must be I guess since it’s apart of the original outfit
-
No ones asking for a 4k every game. But killer does need buffs as do solo que survivors. I dunno what the point of your post is? To make it out the majority of people are asking for insane nerfs, nope simply not true. Yea there small groups of survivors and killers who are asking for insane stuff but that's the same with every group.
Your point is invalid, not true and isn't helpful in the balance discussion stop being toxic .
-
Love how the took extra time too, before they released this garbage patch. Imagine how bad it would have been if they didn't lol.
This patch ain't up to scratch. It never should have happened. But I'm not surprised. Their gonna keep pumping out new content and the game will get worse and worse.
-
I think like every perk there should be something to activate it, something the survivor must do. It's a good rework though. And this is amazing please share our support to the devs. We want to give our input and we want to help you guys. It's great seeing the constructive criticism. This could lead to avoiding unwanted or unnecessary changes.

You're wrong, silly killer main. But that's OK. :) Maybe on certain servers where the playerbase has always been small. Personally I don't experience any of the survivor queue time issues others complain about on NA East. But I do know instead of being near-instant as it is now its literally hit ready and I'm in a queue when its battlepass/update time.
Ahh that's it. The classic response to any criticism. I must be a killer main. Stop crying mate.
Your opinion and your experience of cue times is not the only opinion. You are wrong in that sense.
And the fact is the vast majority of people are experiencing 10 to 15 minute long cue times which is unacceptable. Hence why were complaining.
It's like saying I've never seen a bird therefore they just don't exist. It's a dumb argument. Made even dumber by your condescending jerkish response.
There's an issue with cue times end of. No ifs or buts it's an issue that more then one person has. Deal with it "survivor main".
It isn't just certain servers and it isn't a minority. Stop trying to put peoples experiences down cuz you haven't experienced them. It's not healthy for the game.
-
@Orionbash said:
Killer mains will try to tell you that the game is dying because killers don't wanna play killer. This isn't true. There's just no reason to login at the moment with the battlepass being over and the mid-chapter postponed. Once both are active the queue times will be fast again. This has happened every time the battlepass has ended since its introduction.
That's funny because survivor cue times are consistently horrendous during both battle passes and updates.
It doesn't just suddenly flip around cuz of updates and battle passes. A game should be good enough to be playable without a battle pass. The game never did have one so that's totally wrong.
Less killers is the only logical explanation. There's more people playing survivor then killers. The reasons for that are pretty obvious to.
-
Unfortunately one side is more stressful than the other no matter what you think the stats here don't lie.
Survivors meta hardly ever changes and only does when they get bored whereas killers meta is always shifting, perks are nerfed and changed.
This has made the game stale and not fun for many killers who are tired of seeing 4 ds 4 dead hards 4 unbreakables.
It's stale. Whereas even if the killer uses the same build each killer is completely different so it's less stale.

30+ minutes game, 27k points no pip.
this is the end, one less killer, enjoy lobby simulator
Totally understand quitting the game cuz many people do just have bad experiences with the game. I've not played for a month cuz I'm busy mainly but more so because I'm burnt out the game is boring for me now. ....that being said. This is nothing you clearly tunneled someone out of the game which no judgement here we do what we gotta do yeah I get it but then you couldn't juggle 3 survivors with noed? Couldn't get a 3 gen. Don't even get me started on the ranks you were so lucky. There so close and even ones below you so idk why your complaining.
What annoys me most is that are genuine reasons lots of killers and some survivors have quit dbd and your putting them in a bad light.
Grow. Up.

you are complaining about people playing with a rank 20 survivor, without knowing if it 's a survivor that's played many many hours and took a year (5 months are only needed) break and are rusty, OR that rank 20 survivor might be a BRAND NEW PLAYER! and you're saying they can't play with someone when their friend has been playing for a while and gotten high up in ranks? wow, you know most games that are past 2 years old get the MAJORITY of their new players because of people that PLAY and those people are generally friends and play together when they can. Sure you can make it so a rank 20 can't play with a rank 1, but what about a rank 16? what about a rank 12? you know what? you may think my response is dumb but I will say this at least I know my english and the true meaning of DUMB and it is only a SLANG reference to "stupid", I at least can support my arguments with facts instead of wishful thinking like yours.
Oh yea I forgot: changing/removing infinites is not the same as removing the ability to play with others. Many people would QUIT playing if they couldn't play with their friends in matches that matter. and people new coming in though some are solo are usually brought in as a friend of one that has been playing for a while.
You've just broken your own argument. For a new player learning the ropes takes a short enough time so that if there was a restriction let's say 20-14 cannot play with ranks ones full stop then all they have to do is play and learn the basics before being able to do matches with experienced players. It ain't hard and wouldn't be an issue for players willing to the put the effort in to learn so not only can they play with friends but also be useful on the team. The game is competitive and therefore should be treated as so until there's a causal mode added.
Course that solution ain't great by any means. Imo the whole rank system should be scrapped since it barely functions half the time and replaced with somthing all around better. But that would take effort from the devs.
I didn't say the infinites fix was the same level of difficulty so their your flat out wrong, I actually used it to show that the devs have a history with taking far too long to change really simple things so for somthing this important which is complicated to fix we should be vocal and get the point across to get a decent solution but also keep it talked about.
In conclusion I called your argument stupid or dumb because it was unfounded and simply had no strong point. It be much more helpful if you actually gave an idea of how they could fix the system instead of trying to invalidate someones genuine concerns by calling it "whining". Also idc if you know the English language as you can tell so do I and?
-
@Freki said:
first of all if someone is bringing a new person into the game and they are red ranks, they better know what they are in for as a rank 20. the killer i understand how it's gonna be rough but the idea of survive with friends is to bring people together and let people have fun, so yes you will see this happen. They tried to make the match making key off the highest rank (rank 1 etc) but it didn't work and broke the match making system over all. I hope they can make it better, but stop whining about this as it will not be removed and to tell someone they can't play with their friend because thy just started playing is going to put off more people than you realize and that gets to be bad. sigh why is it always you can't do X or shouldn't allow Y when there are bigger issues in the game? and YES I have faced this type of group and it is frustrating but i don't give up, i finish the game and learn from it.
This is literally the dumbest possible reply. If we didn't complain about this ######### it wouldn't be on the devs ######### radar. You know how long it takes them to get what we say. How long did it take them to change moris? How long did it take map infinite to be removed? All the "whining* made that ######### happen. So don't come here bitching that we want this fixed.

This needs more likes. The devs are so hypocritical.

@Warcrafter4 said:
Another issue is that survivors just in general need to stop harassing killers.
Whenever a killer makes a mistake in game survivors taunt them.
Whenever a killer has a bad game they get insulted endlessly in end game chat.
Whenever a killer plays in a way a survivor doesn't like they get told things no one should ever be told.
Whenever a killer plays in a way a survivor DOES(No tunnel/camping of any kind) like they get told they played in a way they didn't like and look at the above.
Whenever killer plays a character they like survivors harass them for playing it(Try playing doctor/legion for a week....)
Whenever a killer plays well they get harassed to no end in end game chat and even out of the game.
None of these even consider things like SWF imbalance or match making which only exacerbates the above issues
What I am trying to get at is part of the issue is the community itself as boy does it make people not want to touch killer with a 12 foot pole.
This sums it up perfectly. Survivors verbally bully killers because of almost anything and everything. It's one of the big problems the devs aren't responsible for and actually falls onto the community.

The game IS fundamentally flawed and the devs know about it but don't do anything. Doesn't mean you can't do your best to win.
If doing your best ensures playing the game through slugging and camping tactics then they wouldn't be having fun nor would their opponents.
Anyone can make the decision when having knocked down three other survivors that the fourths ds would be gone. It's not a mistake with person it's a fundamental flaw in a perk that in an ordinary match you can't always count on. I'm saying it's not their fault because the perk is flawed and anyone would assume three downs would take up the one minute timer for ds.
There's no point saying Oh you should've done this. Because they shouldn't. The game should be designed better. Period.
-
Whys it on the killer to not 3 gen when survivors gen rush themselves into a 3 gen? Maybe survivors should use their brain when deciding what gens to do instead of doing it to themselves?
-
How dare you complain about the lack of good game balance!! Your so entitled for wanting the game to work well for everyone!
If your honestly defending the reason ds is okay in this scenario I have no respect for you as a person. It's. Not.
If a killer downs a 3 survivors in under a minute those survivors are playing really poorly and don't deserved to be carried by the abundance of second chance perks. If you can't play without these perks then your not good at the game my friend. Don't cry when they eventually nerf these perks after like another two years of complaining about them.
-
@savevatznick said:
Always assume DS and keep track of who has it up. If you're in doubt, slug. Even in that case you can't stop the unbreakable.
You're the killer. Yeah, survivors get a ton of second chances to abuse. Complaining about it won't stop it - working around it will. With all the second chance perks you're going to end up trying to turn a 12 hook game that is actually a 16 down game into something like an 8 hook. Find a way.
That's like saying okay the game if fundamentally flawed but you shouldn't tell the devs that because it's your job to find a way around it. The game isn't ever gonna be balanced if you don't call out the bs.
-
@BigBrainMegMain said:
You knew someone had DS. There's an indicator on the bottom.

Why are you pretending this perk doesn't exist? Anyone could have DS in between the 60 seconds she/he gets unhooked.
This was on YOU.
Don't blame the perk because you were sloppy.
How dare he not slug someone the most boring way to play the game for both sides!!!!!! You are the problem!! Not the perk that lasts way too long!
Okay mate..

The only counter is gen rush which is not really the way i like to play the game.
The others I agree with but hag- no. No no. No. She has plenty of counters. Flashlights, crouching, looping and knowing to just hold the run button.

Stats are real. All of that you said is a myth. I find it hard to believe that most survivors are bad gamers but most killers are all skilled gamers. That makes no sense to me and it further shows killer is a lot easier (aka heavily balanced in their favor).
No no you’re not listening to what he is saying. We know the stats are real as in the exist. But they have been proven to be wrong in many cases and instances. Therefore although they are good for a base of an idea they are not the end all be all facts.
A fact is that if four survivors are let’s say outstanding loopers as most red rank players are it is at times impossible for an equally strong killer to get more than one kills. Even zero at times. This isn’t faulty statistics or my general opinion it’s gathered from watching many of the best dbd players play to the best of their ability and we have drawn the conclusion that if all four survivors are amazing they more or less cannot be beaten.
HOWEVER, and this is a big however I do hundred percent agree that survivors who play mostly solo que will have less of a good experience. Not because their bad but because of the match making or are basically never matched with teammates that are at equal footing. In terms of red ranks. some red ranks won’t be as good as others. The only way it’s guaranteed is if you play in a swf. Not to mention the other advantages they get.
im saying red ranks because that is where the best of the best is at. And where it is truly seen which side is better in certain situations because lower then that of course survivors aren’t gonna do as well because they’re not as good as the red ranks, they are not what they could be. And although I do think it’s fair to say the game shouldn’t always be balanced for red ranks. Red ranks also have the most accurate in game experience in terms of balance. There the ones who’ll notice who is op or what perk could need another look at better then say a rank 14 who might not play it the best way it be played.

How long did it take from us first hearing about dedicated servers until they were implemented? Or MMR being in the works for long, tested and then temporarily retired which leaves us waiting to see the "final" implementation of that again? Or how they've said moris and keys are on the "to be changed" list and we're waiting for that too. It'll happen when it happens.
There's plenty of things to take into consideration though. From slowdown and speedup mechanics from perks, add-ons and items to more strategic things. I'd much rather it takes a while than them rushing some unfinished band-aidish approach that might have holes in it, and I do think that if they have a solid idea they should test it on the PTB. But make it clear that it's just a test and not something guaranteed to make it to the live game in its current state if people find ways to do undesirable things with the mechanic.
Yeah I agree it should be totally be released only after making sure it’s the best it can be and has positive feedback.

I dont mind it being scrapped, I dont think it is needed. And the Devs thought so as well before they came up with that during a Livestream.
Thing is, if they implement that, I hope they nerf a bunch of stuff on the Killers side. While it is true that weaker Killers like Trapper or Clown (if we ignore that he is next up on the list for a Rework) can benefit from it, the same goes for Freddy, Spirit and other really strong Killers. So those should be nerfed in return.
And well, stuff like Ruin/Undying should also not be ok at this point.
Of course all depending what exactly they come up with.
Yeah the idea I'm proposing isn't something that just would benefit killers I want their to be just as much reason on the survivors side as well. Hence why I think we should share are ideas of what we want or need instead of just saying let's scrap it because it would mean it be too hard or whatever for survivors. As a survivor I want some sort of start game mechanic that could shake up the meta and how we play the game. So it doesn't get stale.

I second this. I was playing against a SWF and didn't know one was a twitch streamer. When I rewatched the stream I was rolling and laughing listening to them rage over ruin&Undying. It can preety much end games if it stays up
It can also end a killers game if it goes down? I mean it does effectively destroy two perk slots if the survivors get lucky but it the killers get lucky all it does is make ruin reliable and stops it from being broken 10 seconds into a match because on most maps totems spawn in the open. Do you get my view point? It's why I don't think it's op.

hundred fifty percent agreed, so many killers in denial when they have 1 game that they didn't get a 4k on, and that's because of the hatch too... they really need to buff solo.
Buffing solo I agree with. But swfs are and issue that should be looked at. Also a start game feature can be good for both sides if done well. Therefore saying I hope it was scrapped just means you don't want the game to become healthier. Don't you agree?

If killers do win most games, the problem sits squarely on the killers being too strong or that survivors are too weak.
Those stats aren't everything. They do not reflect the current meta of the community as proven by the killer choose rates. They do not take into account all the factors that happen in a match therefore they are more or less irrelevant. If you are having trouble against killers like my guy here says YOU need to change up the way you play because anyone can instantly drop pallets to waste killers time and to allow gens to fly. Neither side has the upper hand right now there's too many grey areas.
-

I swear I heard an actual dev mention this on a stream, or maybe their own stream at one point.
I'd be all for it. But as others have said, Ruin/Undying or Corrupt already do that job pretty well for the early game. They'd have to nerf those perks. Which I'd be up for if this early game thing happened and was actually well thought out.
Having freed up perk slots and not having to worry about needing slowdown or playing a top tier to make matches not last 5 minutes would be nice. Increasing gen times isn't the answer.
Yeah Increasing gen times would be just boring for the survivors so I reckon a more fun way would be some sort of start game mechanic that has things to do for both sides. It would like you said free up perk slots and allow for a more interesting meta

As for the start game thing I'd assumed it's been scrapped at this point, given the radio silence
I mean I hope not it was an interesting idea to talk about. But yh your right they don't look like a very good survivor which would be fine if they weren't so arrogant.

Well, the thing is, killers are doing way better than average, between 60 and 75% kill rates, so if we keep killer perks as is and add let's say 1 minute objective to get gas or something, survivors gonna play way less. Killer queue times gonna rise drastically.
Game is frustrating as is, solo q is a complete disaster, I escape maybe 20% of my games, slowing survivors even more.... I would just uninstall probably as I don't enjoy playing the killer, if I wanna play single player game I would actually play something good and balanced.
I one hundred percent agree with you. Solo que is bad. I play solo que and I totally agree that a change to that first is needed to help those players out.
What I'm suggesting would come in say in a game where both solo que and swf are more balanced out.

There already is in the form of ruin undying, assuming you can apply enough pressure to make it give you value. It is crippling to leave ruin up against a good killer.
If you don't like looping DBD killer is not for you, that's basically the whole game for the majority of the roster, and I find it to be the most enjoyable part of DBD in general.
I mean fair enough ruin and undying is strong but it's also got an element of randomness. Depending on whether or they find undying or ruin first. If they do find undying first your build is basically gone unless you have a back up perk which takes up a perk slot. All undying does is make ruin reliable. If you're killer has map pressure then yeah it's great. But it's also luck based on which perl the survivors cleanse first which isn't bad necessarily but can be extremely aggravating when the luck is in the survivors favour. When your trying to keep survivors off gens if you see someone on your totem you basically have to give up on that and go back to the totem. This immediately tells the survivor you have hex undying which they then can use to keep you out of chases too long. Hence why I don't consider ruin undying op because it has counterplay and isn't reliable in itself despite the fact it makes ruin slightly more reliable.
When I say start game collapse I don't want something just for the killers. I think it would help but I do want something engaging for the survivors. Matches not just for me but for many long time players haven't changed. And when they have most of the time for the better, such as the end game collapse. I don't see why the devs couldn't be a little creative with this idea and turn into something that makes a match more interesting at the start and more balanced for killers who have little to no map pressure. However I do see problems with certain perks so of course they'd have to looked or and changed in a way that makes them work with this more fun and exciting start game mechanic.

No worries, I always at least try and listen to others perspectives when they seem genuine, put myself in others shoes etc...best way to learn and grow I think, and thank you for the kind compliment :)
Yeah personally I don't think I could put up with so many people throwing negativity towards something I'd made (that's why I'm not a game developer I suppose lol) but on the other hand it does come with the territory. I can be really torn when it comes to the devs, on 1 hand I understand things may be difficult but on the other there are fundamental things like bugs that sometimes take a long time to fix. Unfortunately your certainly not alone with being concerned about the direction the games headed, I've seen many posts saying the same thing-all I can say is I hope that BHVR doesn't take a huge wrong turn and alienate half the player base, that's the trouble with keeping a game like this alive, the base needs to keep active and if they choose not to listen to genuine problems then i fear that's what will happen. Unfortunately I think some people don't help when they just hurl abuse at the devs
Let's keep our fingers crossed that things do change. I absolutely agree with what you say about also giving credit when it's due-that's one thing about dbd that has bothered me from the start, there's so much negativity, whether it's towards the devs or towards eachother (I swear I've never played a game quite so full of taunting BM and toxicity, it's what puts me off the game more than anything else and I don't know why as it hasn't bothered me in other games).
Anyway as I said, let's hope things don't veer way off track and push people away
Yeah again I agree with you people are very rude and cruel towards the devs but I'd say there isn't that much compared to the mountains of constructive they unfortunately seem to ignore. The censorship to me is full proof that as much as I love the devs they can't really take criticism even if it's constructive unless you praise them at the exact same time. I think it's a little big headed of them to censor people's valid opinions. When they have certain streamers (can't say their name) who are actively abusing their position to get around things like dcing or being extremely toxic and verbally abusive to players.
Sadly almost half of the community is extremely toxic. Survivors teabagging flashlight spamming etc is extremely common along with the barrage of post game messages accusing you of hacking or cheating, along with homophobic, racist and sexist slurs to show how bad of a person they are.
Killers are different...I have never recieved a toxic message from them. I have obviously met tunneling killers with the odd mori thrown in their which yeah sucks but is a lot less frequent due to the fact you go against one killer at a time and four survivors, hence why there's more toxic survivors.
They really do bring the community down. But the devs aren't exactly helping. If anything things they do sorta make it worse. I do feel bad for them tho because like you I can never be a game dev, it's way to hard lol. But I I'm sorry to say that unlike you which is maybe because you've not played as long so maybe you have more patience left but I've kinda lost a lot of respect for them as they push out worse and worse content and patches. Don't even get me started on the Halloween event. But they still charge the same prices. The game should be free to play. The base game is not even worth a price tag anymore imo. It's so buggy and glitchy. The reason I don't like the battle pass is because it's designed to be frustrating to get you to spend money to finish it. Plus battle passes I think should be reversed for free to play games especially if theirs a premium track. They get more then 100 million a year. But they can't fix their game? But they can't hire more people to help fix the game? But they can release poorly designed battle passes, skins and dlc that breaks the game with its bugs and glitches.
I just don't understand why they think this is okay. I hope they change something soon because if Halloweens massive drop in players is concerned, people are fed up.
We know the devs can do amazing things, getting rid of infinite loops(even tho they're actually adding them back in with breakable walls), end game collapse(I honestly can't believe we ever beat survivors without it lol).
So yeah. That's my opinion on the game. L

When i initially started to read your comment I thought to myself "come on, the game shouldn't be free, clearly not expensive but not free" but when I continued I realised that you've definitely got a point-I think the reason I had those first thoughts was down to the fact I started playing dbd when it was on xbox game pass and once I could see the game was getting under my skin (in a good way) I was able to buy it at a reduced rate if I remember correctly, mind you my memory really isn't the best lol I also don't buy the game pass either, I basically bought the game, buy every dlc and that's all so the ways you mentioned of them making money hadn't entered my thoughts very much till now. So yeah, you've definitely got a point
On the other hand I just feel the devs get a lot of grief needlessly and that's maybe a small part of why they don't seem to listen to the legit concerns people have about the game, maybe it's got to the point where they've had to mostly tune out all the chatter and only a trickle of what this game really does need gets through to them. I hope that makes sense lol I'm not trying to say the devs are blameless I just think it's maybe harder to concentrate on what needs done when everyone shouts different things at once. Things have been changing for the better compared to what I've read it used to be like but maybe not enough. On the other hand there are consistent problems that players often repeat to the devs that they should be paying attention to. Also yeah the shrine, not reliable at all which is partly why I just buy the dlcs when they come out lol
I've been coming across people saying they censor people quite a lot lately, has something happened recently or changed because in the past 3 weeks or so? I've really seen a spike of people who've been saying this
First things first. Thank you for actually hearing me out you've got a good head on your shoulders I can tell and I totally agree with you that it must be a total pain to have so much negativity that yeah I think only a little bit of what actually needs to change happens. I started playing the game around about the time it first came to xbox. And like you I really loved it..still do? But now I'm not so sure that I love the direction it's heading. My first memories where playing as the newly released clown and watching the teasers of the spirit. This was before the battle pass. And the game to it's credit was extremely fun. Still is in some ways but that unfortunately hasn't lasted.
I genuinely love this game but something needs to change. But remember we should give credit to the devs if they do something good.

I genuinely feel your sentiments but I guess they've got to keep making money somehow to keep the game running since it was released years ago (although I understand that DLCs like silent Hill and being on console with crossplay brings in new people too). I'm not saying it's right because there's certainly things that need seeing to in-game, I'm just saying that they've got to keep money coming in. I don't buy cosmetics so issues regarding them I'm not particularly aware of but I always buy DLCs even if I hardly play them (I barely play blight at all) so I have their perks and it gives them some money, it's just a shame they don't seem to use it to work on nuts and bolts issues so much
Yeah totally my dude! I understand they are a business and need ways of making money but if you think about it, they actually have four ways of getting money in the game and there making tens of millions each year. First way is buying the base game, personally I think this should be free because of how poor the quality of gameplay is. The bugs and glitches are teaming everywhere. But i also think it should be free because the other three ways they have of making money. Buying dlc. Buying skins. Buying battle pass. Every game I know that has a battle pass and tons of skins to buy is free to play except dbd. Not to mention I think for a game to ask for this money the gameplay should be as good as a free to play game is. I understand we have to pay for license dlc. But it is still sorta pay to win. The shards system is incredibly grindy and to get anywhere near the amount of shards to buy characters it takes months. The shrine of secrets is completely random and not reliable. But I would be fine with the dlc being paid for if the game was free to play.
The reason I don't have much respect left for dbd is because they continually give us buggy patches and low optimisation. Yet they think it's ok to charge all that money.
The rift is designed to buy super annoying and grindy so you spend some cells of those last few tiers then you have to buy more for next pass so on. It's a cycle. A very not friendly cycle.
This and people having their views censored is really making loose faith in dbd.
