Did I not say women of color in my comment? Also intersectionality does matter, but this is just a tier list based on who they find to be the most toxic. I don't understand what you're trying to get at.
But you first said, "It's not a race issue," and I'm saying it's not solely one. There are many factors at play, and lists like this are a problem and before posting one, a person should have better sense about what they're trying to communicate.
This game has a problem with killers deliberately going after and trolling marginalized community characters (it was recently mentioned a lot before the chapter update with LGBT+ character rumors), and things like this do not help.

This has nothing to do with race. Also, it could appear like that because there's more woc than white women.
Women of color. Intersectionality matters.

How did you make this a race thing?! HOW?!
I looked at the list which is making a judgement of characters, looked who was placed where and for the tells of conscious or unconscious biases, and made a hypothesis about what was happening.
And it's a race and sex thing. Intersectionality matters.

They were a party. The levels of snark in your post is mindboggling. What’s with the douchey comment out of nowhere dude?

Not everyone takes the game as seriously as you did.

One time I got three red rank survivors and a level 8 and at the time I was a level 15 killer. They of course bullied the crap out of me and played toxic cause I was underleveled. So I played dirty and camped and tunneled. Managed to kill all but one. Still, I shouldn’t be facing these kind of tryhards at such a low rank.
So they were miles better than you.
But you claim you killed three of them.
Because you tried hard.
But they're the "tryhards."
Even though they probably essentially let you kill them.
The levels of cope in your post are just mindboggling.

The new Home Sweet Home game has in it's description that the survivors can hunt the killer (Specter) down as well, it's not just about escaping. I don't know if there'll be a bat, but it might be up your alley!

Just had a match with an swf team that seemingly didn’t have much interest in escape, they just wanted to continually stun me with Head On by leading me on chases that would go past lockers their friends were hiding in. If I was a sweaty killer I would have been annoyed but I actually found it kind of hilarious! They weren’t trying to escape but funny enough I wasn’t trying to win either, I just set out to shock as many times as I could to earn the shocking treatment trophy. Ultimately I wound up getting a 3 K and pipping which I didn’t want and it took way to long to end the game. First time I’ve run into a group like this though.
Sounds like one of those fun casual games!

Exactly. Those people are coming from a well educated households and they learnt that even trying to provoke someone isn't something a good and decent human being does - not even in the anonymity of the internet. Those labeling this kind of behaviour as something disrespectful are decent human beings. Whereas the response to the provocation depends on their temperament, their morals and / or their emotional stability.
I personally think that taunting in a competition isn't exactly something to make such a big judgement on as not "something a good and decent human being does."
You can say it's different, but I don't think NFL players taunting an opposing QB to try and get him to make a mistake are not "good and decent human beings" who don't come from "well educated households." Just don't make it personal.
But YMMV.

When you're playing on Haddonfield, survivors start injured and can be mori'd before being hooked.
Hot characters stand on the side and cheer on the killer during the match.
If you swing your weapon, Jeff Bezos has to send you $10,000. This has no cooldown.
In the postgame chat, the survivors have to call you Super Kami Guru.

Doesn't have to be solo survivor. I'm not saying every SWF is out to ruin the fun but when your going against constant teams who slam out gens like there's no tommorow it gets boring fast. I don't play to win but it'd be nice to actually get a chance to get some points at least and have a match last longer than 5 minutes for a change.
I'm sorry, I mean that you said it was 3 man SWF groups, which means one person in there was a solo survivor. I usually play solo survivor, so if I find myself in a game like that where I suspect (because I can't know) that the other three are in a group, what can I do to help you?

In those cases, what can the solo survivor do to help you have fun?

I don't mean just popping into the match and literally doing nothing. It's hard to explain without visuals and both sides having different perspectives.
Do you enjoy playing against Killers who will essentially let you escape by obviously not playing hard, but still engages with Survivors' during the match? I guess. Sometimes you just really don't want to try super hard against a team at your level and others you can clearly tell that the Survivors are all very bad at escaping Killers, but you still want to play Dead by Daylight. So you take a step back for a match.
I was just curious what it feels like to encounter the casual Killers like this. The ones who do stuff like giving you the hatch/opening the door or very obviously giving up "tunneling" opportunities even though the unhooker was dumb enough to leave his friend out to dry, etc. I've never seen a Survivor give the Killer hooks or kills after all.
I don't know, guys. I am so tired, but I can't sleep.
Generally speaking if they're not actually playing, it's really annoying and a waste of time and not the game I paid for.
BUT if it's someone doing specific actions that are non-optimal but normal, like trying to get 12 hooks even to the detriment of the win, that's fine and fun.
I sometimes let survivors go when it's clear I've won or lost. If it's like I get someone and they're down and all I have to do is go hook them, I'll instead carry them to the exit and drop them there. We both know I could have killed them, but they brought a key in and I don't want them to lose it by dying, so they can go.
My favorite is if there's an AFK survivor, because then I pick up the AFK and carry them around, and see if I can get three downs while dragging their friend around. It's not a fair fight with the AFK, so at least that makes it silly.
As survivor, I try to give hooks or kills if it's a casual game and the killer isn't doing well (whether by choice or not). Or if survivors DC, I'll let the killer get me, depending on where in the game we're at so we can get it over with quickly and onto a real game.

If they’ve downed each player at least once within the first few minutes, I think it’s probably safe to let up a little. Continuing to go hard against players that obviously don’t have a chance is literally overkill. I think these players have clear emotional problems that have nothing to do with the video game.

Sweaty for me would be when people no longer play the game to have fun or enjoy it, but just to win. Granted, not all the players I played against were sweaty but they were extremely efficient on gens which means I had to play very efficiently which isn't very fun for me or the survivors. It's not bad when I get it sometimes but getting it super consistently makes the game become very unfun.
How do you know they're not playing for fun and happen to be winning against you too?

What? I'm not asking for the game to be made easier for anybody, I'm just saying that lately I've been encountering really sweaty games where I need to also be sweaty, which isn't fun. I've had sweaty matches before, but never this consistently.

and a vast majority of this playerbase cares about points.
Yes but as it stands that's the way it is.
Also they're still more hidden than gens.
Also, no they don't. Nice try, though.

I see this a lot on the forum of survivors being sweaty and all and I have to ask, is that a bad thing? I mean this is a game in which players want to win and players are going to so what they can to win. Why shame survivors or killers for wanting to win? I imagine the players can't tell if the opponent is playing casually.
It is if you're a killer main expecting to feel badass. Cater to the fragile killer's feelings or be shamed on the forum!
I actually just posted about this yesterday (solo survivor game). A poor rank 16 that got run by a rank 15 the whole match, and then gave an opening for us to save the rank 15 at the end (who managed to escape via DS), and DC'd because of it. I felt bad, I wanted to help the Killer have fun, but the replies were basically, "Nothing you can do, you were just better than them." But does that killer thing we were sweaty? Maybe. But if there's nothing I can do, then the only other choice is to stop playing (and Entity willing, the game will die soon and we will all be free).

but those people would also not get any points for their trial.
if i have to wait 5 - 10 minutes to find a game i'd want to get as much out of the trial as possible.
also i wasnt very clear on it the first time, but with that question i was referring to the entirety of your team, not just one individual.
if one does it and two farm points on the killer, thats still more than enough time for a single player to locate the 5 totems before NOED can activate.
I see from your next post you didn't know you can't farm the AFK Killer anymore, so points are limited and it means all you can do is gens and totems, and gens are far easier to find.
Also, not everyone cares about points.

thats true, but who would genrush an AFK killer?
after all (unless its an invisible wraith ofc) most will go and try to farm points on the killer.
also, totems are now one of your main BP sources so it'd be kind of stupid to ignore them.
but yes, theoretically that scenario is possible. very unlikely, but possible.
"Who would genrush an AFK killer?"
People who want to get out of the not-a-game and into a real match.

I'm not sure what's going on, but recently whenever I play as Killer most of the time im getting really sweaty, unfun matches and it really sucks. And because I've been getting such sweaty matches I have to bring meta perks and killers I'm good with, otherwise I'll just lose.
Survivor isn't much fun either, I've been getting even worse teammates than before.

Let me go over some statistics, so you'll understand
- You get a quick chase, about 10 to 15 seconds.
- You get a down and walk to a hook, about 5 to 10 seconds
- You walk across the map to Find a gen the survivors are working on
1 gen Pops
This need a fix, let me remind you 1 hook = 8.333% of actions, 1 gen is = 20% of actions. A simple change which I said before is to make it so where it's -10% action speed every survivor on a gen. (80, 72, 64, 56 seconds gen).
56 second generator might seem a lot for 4 players but toolboxes and prove thyself exist. Killers meta is always gen defence, this might encourage survivors to run toolboxes instead of flashlights and keys. This change would be really healthy.
Survivors will not like this change but which one do you care about more, survivor mains or you game?

Now I'm no stranger to the bully squad, this game is rife with these kinds of people but I'm just kinda tired of having to deal with game after game of really unpleasant people to play with.
Its not about winning the game its about having fun and this kind of garbage is just not fun.
When I see three flashlights I equip lightborn and franklins and get ready for what is going to probably be a really crappy game.
I should have dodged the lobby, I knew it was going to be a crapfest. Now I 4k'd but only because I felt an intense sense of "these pricks need to be taught a lesson". But I shouldn't have to do that when playing a game for fun, it made me just as toxic as they were so really everyone loses in that scenario.
We get to the post game screen and I'll forgo the vitriolic chat and abuse leveled at me for bringing lightborn and franklin's (god forbid I should bring perks that ruin this grief squads fun). What really struck me were ranks though 1 rank 16 and 3x rank 4-1. Its clearly a smurf account bully squad trolling around for low level killers to just abuse.

Obvious bait is obvious, but...
The best way to have fun with killer is to meme. (Especially if you stream the game) I love to apologize every time I hit someone, yell at people to go save their teammates, and viewers love it. And as you meme, you get better, because survivors are more eager to be chased by you (for whatever reason, you can't be fragile about it) and you'll see what they do to avoid you.
If you're playing by yourself at home, hoping to feel badass as a killer...yeah this isn't the game for you.

This is so off-topic, but that's exactly what the expression means.

Devour Hope is amazing. Balanced, powerful, and atmospheric. When that third token hits and everyone goes "Oh fu...." and the gameplay changes? Amazing.
It also combos well with other perks, like Undying, which is fun because combos make the game fun. Or Haunted Ground/Retribution, which are meaningless if there aren't hexes worth cleansing.
Devour Hope is so much fun, so good for the game, it's one of those "Yeah, they got it right" perks.

Slowdown** Meant slowdown. No it doesn't incentivise tunnelling less. Just makes it more effective. Why leave the hook if the survivors have less pressure on the killer?
For gen times to be increased, there would have to be something put in place that properly makes tunnelling disservice the killer.

It really does attract the worst of the worst...anecdotal, but I was watching some drag queens playing together on Twitch, SWF but not trying hard, laughing and having fun. Not calling out anything other than "Save me!" or "I'm headed for the hook." They weren't exactly being toxic other than winning fairly easily.
Post game, the killer came into the chat, ranting about SWF and (upon seeing the queens playing) using anti-trans language I won't repeat (none of them playing identified as trans, the player on stream is a drag artist) and it was just disgusting. That killer got banned from chat quick, but it's sad to think that because it happened on a third party platform, they (and many like them) are still playing and possibly continuing that behavior.

I would argue I can teach the right mental mindset to handle defeat.
You see, the difference between myself and your average Joe is I look inward first anytime I get beat
Who cares if SWF is broken, who cares if XYZ is overpowered. It's on me to find a way to beat it. If I ever find myself getting frustrated to the point I ragequit - then it's time to put the game down and come back with a different mindset.
Too many people continue to play on tilt or pissed off when the best thing they can do is turn it off and ask themselves if they want to keep at it.
If you don't want to fight SWF highly coordinated teams that aren't completely braindead, then maybe this is not the right game for you. In a world where we are no hurting for choice in multiplayer experiences, it boggles me that people would repeatedly piss themselves off by playing something they are clearly not enjoying.
Good on you, Frenzied. That's the right mentality!

Do you know the survivors involved?
In game lore names, clothing, items brought
If so, then yeah
I don't know, but it was this thread: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/231967/keep-it-up-oni that was started by @notstarboard
I would just love if you were talking about each other!
