Clementine is only 16 or 17 if I recall correctly making her too young to be added, it would be cool al though I don't see it happening
-
I only prestige killers nowadays and I always try to get them to P3 as fast as possible, so the moment I reach Level 50 I prestige them, did this with Blight and Trickster, P3'd Blight roughly 16hrs after his release, and Trickster nearly 14hrs after his release.
-
If you're getting 0 pips from a 4k and some times even de-pipping, the only time I would see that is if you're playing Trapper, Plague or Trickster
Any one else, you have nothing to blame but yourself

It was harder, but not that much. The quality of survivors has always stayed more or less the same. The difference is that now middle and low tier killers can have a bit of hope fighting strong SWF teams, whereas before you could only do it with something like Nurse, Spirit, Billy and Huntress.
Spirit didnt exist during the dark times

The first perk paired up with Borrowed Time would just be a much stronger version of old Borrowed Time, since not only do you not need Self Care but it would also be multi use, so I highly doubt the devs would make that mistake
Second perk I could see happening

What are you on about, huntress downs survivors close to her 10 times faster than trickster. Please don't compare him to hag who is leagues above him in strength and skill required to play her.
If you by some miracle actually have gameplay of trickster beiing useful vs good survivors, share it.
Even when hag used to be bad before the buffs, there still were hag mains that made her work as their trap placement was godly. Trickster has nothing like that as right now he's got no potencial because even if you somehow hit 100% of your knifes, you are slow af with all the added slowdowns, can't beat high wall loops, the snowball is still the slowest of all killers among other isses.
I'm not comparing Hag and Trickster in strength, I'm comparing how they were/are seen by the community
And even when she was bad people still made her work, why can't it be the same with Trickster? Trickster does take skill when it comes to aiming, if you say otherwise then I guess Huntress or Deathslinger don't take skill either.
Also I'll try to get footage tonight

I feel like mentioning Hag actually getting buffed self-defeats your own comparison. Maybe the reason people realized Hag's potential is because she got that potential after the buff.
Part of me speculates that if the Trickster gets buffed in a meaningful way, months from now people are going to be like "Everyone thought Trickster was gonna be bad, but then after he was released he turned out to be pretty good!" while conveniently ignoring the fact that he got buffed.
If you think about it The Hag's lethality never changed, and people were playing her as I said before, setting all traps near the hook and then chasing as a 110% killer with no power. She definitely wasn't as strong back then, but people were saying that she was worst than Wraith

@Phasmamain said:
No killer is useless but trickster is the worst for the sole fact that huntress and slinger exist
Thats like saying Plague and Myers are absolutely useless because Oni exists, they all fall into the category of tier up killers but all have their own advantages and disadvantages
Trickster is indeed the worst out of the 3 dedicated ranged killers we have in the game, I never said he wasn't. What I am saying is he doesn't deserve the amount of backlash he's getting
-
@Moxie said:
One Killer has to be the worst Killer and it is Trickster without a doubt.
Even the example you provided: You can down them quickly when your in close range. You mean like Leatherface, HillBilly, Huntress and Myers? All of which can do it better and 3/4 of them actually have full MS.
Also, your comparison to Hag, who can teleport isn't comparable.
I'm not comparing their powers, I'm comparing how they were seen by the community
The thing with Trickster is even a close range he can deal with the majority of loops in the game, either over the loop or throw through small gaps in walls, and all the killers you listed their power gets shut down the minute they throw down a pallet with the exception of Huntress, and even then he still has his advantages compared to her.
-
They definitely aren't weak, its just the only way to make them viable is the most boring way to play, camping and slugging which is the problem.
Add more utility to Charlotte instead of just making her a vessel or a wall, and give Victor more options other than pounce and check lockers, make them more versatile while also addressing the issues of camping and slugging
-
Double pallets have technically never left, there are still rare occasions of them popping up on the older maps, this here is probably the luckiest double pallet spawn you could of had since the loops are so short
-
His knives actually become alright if you can aim and when you know your distance, a perfectly aimed barrage can down a survivor in seconds, faster than Huntress or Deathslinger ever could. Main Event could be better al though catching a survivor out positioned is almost a guarantee'd down.
I have put many hours on Trickster and I'm starting to think he's not as bad as people make him out to be, the problem with him, is he needs to work hard and doesn't get rewarded as much as he should.
-
Why not do both? What we need is a separate gamemode to test out upcoming changes, kind of like the PTB but you don't have to opt in and out. Benefits for doing this? console will also get to test these things out and I'm sure the devs would actually have time to gather the feedback from these tests and hopefully make the right changes.
-
First game I ever played was as Wraith, June 2017. I was bullied by a Bill with a flashlight who kept light burning me and I had no idea what was happening, my memory becomes a blur when it comes to the map but I believe it was Fractured Cowshed.
I went on to maining survivor after that
-
If I'm going to be completely honest I think Trickster isn't the worst killer in the game, the problem he has is the same problem Spirit had when she was first introduced in PTB, high risk, medium reward. If you can aim properly he can definitely be a good anti looper.
That being said, do I think he's strong? no, do I think he needs tweaks? yes.

As i said, Freddy was also considered a weak killer. Then they promised to change him and nerfed him.
If you were actually there during those times, then you would know the majority of the survivor player base was saying he was "OP" because once you got put into the dream, Freddy got a "free hit". DbD got hit with I'm pretty sure its biggest review bomb at the time so of course BHVR took action
Trickster is more than likely gonna receive buffs, the devs got smarter when making killers just look back at the ones we've gotten in the last year, all of them are viable and are placed high up in the majority of tier lists. Trickster is the only exception and I have hope.

Welp... the new chapter must've brought it back. I started playing about two years ago and I've seen some stuff (flying off hooks, teleporting, being synced with hooked survivors, etc...) but never this. I was the only one who couldn't see anything as well. Everyone else was just doing their thing.
I may be wrong and this could be an entire new bug, but just to make sure we are on the same page there is an old video made from No0b3
Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZdLmDD1qaHc

This bug is not new, it was in the game a while ago (like 2 years ago) and this is the first time I've heard of it being back

Dead hard is an exhaustion perks and really has the same affect as sprint burst. I said by any means meccesary because it is the most diverse. Perks like red herring and deception are like diversion.
Dead Hard still has its own ability of giving the survivor a short burst of speed and even has its own animation
Diversion is similar to other perks but its still its own ability
Also the perk is just called "Any Means Necessary"
-
Any Means Necessary isnt the first perk of its kind, there are 3 other perks that give survivors another ability: Dead Hard, Diversion and Repressed Alliance
-
DbD is gonna be a hard game to take down, because of how big BHVR is, the loyal player base and the amount of licenses they have
DbD will fall one day, but it wont be any time soon
-
All killers will have a different MMR, al though for how long its taking I don't see a reason why they didn't add the button to switch back and forth

Sure we complained when they reworked ruin and they destroyed undying but if you think about it. No perk killer has ever had was even close to the power of DS.
Old NoeD and old Machine Gun was up there
Ruin + Undying was also a VERY strong combo, there's no denying that.

I've had nothing but a good experience so far, in fact I find the game to run a lot smoother since the patch, I'm actually able to run the game at Ultra with around 90 fps when before the patch I was only running at around 40.
EDIT: Medium settings before update was 120fps and is the same now, just to clear things up

Yeah, but to be fair, they were buffed in the PTB, not after the PTB which is what BHVR has been doing. IMO all they really needed to do to really help Trickster is make his laceration not go down during chase, and you lose laceration slower out of the chase. Most killers usually just need number changes to really help but BHVR acts as if they need hard reworks to be better.
The only killer that was buffed in PTB was Ghost Face if I recall correctly, Spirit had a little bit when she was on live where she was still pretty bad, and well we all know how Blight was.

Yes, but they DON'T LISTEN TO US. Even a 10-year-old with 30 hours of play knows this killer should be buffed.
We thought the exact same for Spirit when she launched on PTB, I would argue she was even worst than Trickster with how many things were against her.
EDIT: Messed up lmao
-
He can still be buffed, just to name a few that have been from PTB and are in a solid place now: Spirit, Ghost Face, Blight

yeah but they was started by me and i pretty sure any one necro'd discussions that i necro are made by me dont really reflect what goes on in game not talking mechanics and stuff, its hard.....i have a cats or dogs discussion, just stuff man and like idk, im just man in my time idk......
Even if it was a discussion started by you it doesn't matter, its just looked down upon. Also people want meaningful discussions for the most part.

If you're replying to discussions that have started a long time ago, that's known as "necroing" a post. Its looked down upon since this game changes constantly and things that were true back then are most likely not the case nowadays.

People are acting like they're privacy is being leaked when ever they join a lobby with a TTV
All the viewers see you as is another player, they don't care who you are, they're just watching because they enjoy the content and the streamer is simply providing the content, they don't care who you are either, they're just trying to share their video game experience with others, why are people starting to make this a big deal all of a sudden?

Why do you keep up bringing up anything other than aesthetics holy scheisse
Putting an apron on billy would not make him look like leatherface. Their faces look entirely different. Trapper already has cosmetics that look similar to Jason's.
My argument wasn't about backstory or character. Or powers for that matter.
Trapper also uses more than just a machete.
I hate to say it but you're being incessantly ######### in arguing about this.
It's a dumb discussion anyway considering Jason isn't ever coming to this game, so it's not like you've achieved anything you wanted here. Ciao
I keep bringing up more than aesthetics because there's more to a character than just that
Also Jason and Trappers masks look entirely different
Trapper uses mostly machete looking weapons, while Jason has used a lot more than that, hammers and axes just to name a few
You say I haven't achieved nothing, you haven't either. Al though this is quite entertaining

Was it directly after you consumed the medkit? or a bit after? Because SA only lasts for 8 seconds, how ever if it consumed the medkit and you got downed right after, it might of been a latency issue

The better question is what makes them distinct?
Physique aside, the fact that you can simply slap a different mask on Trapper and add a jacket and he'd look like a Jason wannabe is the problem. You already have Trapper's H20 mask which looks more similar to Jason's mask.
Not seeing anything distinctive about their weapons either. They're just machetes with a non-distinctive look.
What makes them distinct? Clothing, backstory, and character
-Sure, slap a jacket on Trapper and put on a different mask and he looks like a Jason wannabe. Same argument could be made with Billy, slap an apron on and he looks like a LF wannabe.
-Both of their stories focus quite a bit on loyalty (Jason with his mother, Trapper with his father). How ever Jason first killed because of revenge, Evan first killed because of his loyalty to his father.
-Evan never wanted to become a killer, he resisted The Entity's influence and this is shown by the metal hooks that are in his back, Jason on the other hand would be a lot more willing.
Jason is also shown using a variety of weapons, not just machetes.

Hillbilly and Leatherface look nothing alike. My specific point was that Trapper and Jason look similar, not just because Trapper is inspired by Jason. You're also trying too hard to split hairs here to contradict something I never talked about. What's next, Nurse and Spirit being very similar because they're both women? They look nothing alike. Hillbilly and Leatherface look nothing alike. Their (Hillbilly and Leatherface) lore is similar sure, but was I talking about the lore? No. Was I talking about their powers? No. Bringing up more irrelevant stuff.
You also are projecting. I never implied Trapper filled Jason's spot. I said I think it would be redundant to have two killers who look the same.
I also find it funny because I've supported my argument well, you lot have ignored it entirely and your comebacks involve bringing up irrelevant stuff. Your argument is the one that fell flat, and you're the one who took it too personally. Again, more weirdos being dense.
Maybe I am being dense, but tell me, what are exactly the similarities here other than their both tall and muscular?

You lot are oddly incenced about this topic to the point where you initially were lying about what I said and responding with things I never mentioned. Weird as hell
Myers mask is already very distinct due to him being a horror figure so there's not much of a distinction needed for that compared to Trapper, an original character. The particular issue of Trapper vs Jason is that Trapper's aesthetic was already centred around what Jason looked like and they already look extremely similar, and Trapper already has cosmetics that resemble Jason's to begin with. No one in this game confuses Myers for Trapper. Put Trapper and Jason side by side and they don't look that distinct from one another.
The Legion vs Ghostface example is also not comparable either. Ghostface's mask is already distinct, again being a figure in horror and their overall aesthetic is different. Legion's cosmetic for the most part is generally very urban, Ghostface's cosmetic is...Ghostface, which again is already distinct from the source it came from. No one also confuses Ghostface for Legion or thinks they're similar in how they look.
Why the hell are you on my ass about whether or not they play different? I made no comment about their powers, nor did I say just because they look similar doesn't mean they operate similarly. I know nothing about Jason. I don't care. All I said is that I think having two killers who look the same would be redundant and you lot went on this weird ass tangent of responding to things I never said. Weirdos.
But Hillbilly was also centered around Leatherface's aesthetic, they're just 2 mentally challenged dudes who wield hammers and chainsaws who's backstories both focus around family and both lived on a farm. Yet here we are with Leatherface in the game
Your first argument of Trapper filling Jason's spot falls flat and I could of started off with this, but I wanted my fun ;)
-
@_NIGHTMARE_ said:
Because The Trapper is one of the first original characters for the game.
First there was Wraith, Hillbilly, Trapper, Meg, Dwight and Jake.
(I think Bill was added slightly after?)
Anyway, two free DLC's came out; Lullaby for the dark (The Huntress and David) and The Last Breath (The Nurse and Nea.)
There's a buff for Trapper (hopefully) coming with the All-Kill release on the 30th. I hope that it actually buffs him to make him more viable in red ranks.
But yeah, as poster boy for DbD, Trapper had this buff a long time coming.
First killer in beta was Trapper, then Wraith and Hillbilly were added not too long after
Dwight, Meg, Claudette and Jake were the 4 OG survivors, they're been there since the beginning
Then came The Nurse and Nea, shortly after we got Myers and Laurie, then Hag and Ace, then Bill, then Doctor and Feng, then Huntress and David.
Also no one said The Trapper was getting a buff, so Idk where you got that information
