all it takes is for some one to comment on it and it returns back to the top. Its referred to as "Necro-posting"
-
I'm assuming they're gonna bring the key rework alongside the "early game collapse" showcase, since they said that its been taken a completely different direction. My guess is they're gonna showcase it alongside the anniversary chapter or the mid chapter. Since it has been in the works for quite some time
-
Best one they've released in a while
-
I feel really confident when I see its a Trapper
Then I feel really dumb when I step on a trap
-
That would actually make the status effect a pretty big threat and make a lot of add ons useful, The Third Seal would become pretty scary as well

4/5ths of the playerbase is not that good at the game. wouldn't expect them to balance around the red ranks anytime in the near future.... if ever.
Not like red ranks make a difference

If you realize a survivor likes to start walking when you enter phase just stand still and wait for them to start walking, then start phasing towards them.

Coldwind used to be one of my favorite maps. The new lighting in this update is absurd. This game should NOT feel like you're playing in the middle of the god damn day. Lower the ######### brightness, BHVR. You're a "horror" game, remember? Stop trying to make things look absolutely gorgeous; i want the map to be dark. Not for the sake of hiding as a survivor. But for the sake of feeling like im playing a horror game. Jesus christ.
Why does it need to be dark like the rest of the maps? The devs wanted to keep Coldwinds yellow tint, a day time map was their best conclusion Im assuming and they nailed it, probably the best graphical rework out of any map so far.
-
A myth
-
All my killers are P3 50 and I wish I could do the same for Survivor, but I only have 9 of them. The reason why I don't spend that much on survivor is because I don't want to lose my old lighting and map offerings from when I first started playing (Im also trying to get all perks on every killer, currently have 6 of them). Also on Jeff I still have winter mystery boxes in his bloodweb, which were only available in the 2018 Winter Solstice event.

Hey! I am currently still in mourning and am in the "grr im so angrey" stage:
ADDITIONAL STEALTH NERFS TO TWINS NOT MENTIONED IN ANY PATCH NOTES:
-No longer have collision. Remember how you could block door ways with Charlotte? No longer! This was deemed too "creative" by the Devs, so that has been taken away. You can now glide through Charlotte like a specter or something
-Back to Back view. Remember a couple patches ago, when you latched on to a Survivor you switched back to Charlotte right away. That's gone. Now we are back to Victor View after he latches on, adding another 1.5 secs to Charlottes "awaken" time.
Still testing all Add-ons and bugs. I will update this when I discover more.
You forgot that Victor now consumes PWYF stacks
-
Not cater, but bridge the gap between solo q and swf and to do that you need to give Solo Q more ways to communicate.
A ping system or "chat wheel" that pops up next to the icon of the survivor would be nice, a little chase icon to indicate when some one is in chase, etc.
One thing that I think would be cool as well, is to actually add back a bug that was in the game a few years ago, where sounds echoed through the whole map. You could hear an exit gate almost opened beep in the distance... Huntress "yelling" while throwing hatchets/swinging, it was actually such a cool bug I wish it stayed in the game, but they patched it very soon after.
-
I mean you had a fair chance, having trouble dealing with flashlights? bait out a save or look at a wall. You're also running Swing Chains with Paintbrush. And if you're just gonna pick and chose the games you play you're never going to improve, just sayin
-
Every one should have them, even new players

@Dabihwow 90 seconds is literally how long the game last due to how fast these gens go but whatever floats your boat.
If your games are lasting 90 seconds bud thats on you, not the game
-
If a survivor equips Iron Will + Lucky Break thats 2 perk slots for maybe escaping 2 chases, 3 if they're lucky.
At that point you might as well run Lithe + Dance With Me. Not only are these perks useable during the entire game, but they can also be used against insta down killers.
-
Make all maps have 5 portals in random locations but all spawn apart from each other, a map wide audio cue would alert the survivors when in use.
This would bridge the gap between the roster quite a bit
-
Last time Ive gone against a cheater was months ago
And all they did was finish all 5 gens instantly and crashed everyones game

Yeah because obviously, camping, tunnelling, moaning about everything... oh and hackers make the game so much better. Sorry I must of missed the fun in all that. My apologies.
Camping and tunneling were things that were there since the very beginning of the game, in fact there were more because the balance of the game was non-existent. Hackers existed back then as well. In fact there were more cheaters back then because of the servers were P2P, meaning killers would lagswitch and this was not an uncommon occurrence.
Hatch stand offs were a thing as well because there was no Endgame Collapse and the killer wasn't able to close the hatch, how ever the killer was able to grab survivors going into the hatch, so it would just be a waiting game of who gave up first.
You also had the bugs which were A LOT worst than what we have now. Just to name a few:
-Complete loss of progress
-Double chainsaw mangled stacking for infinite healing (used a lot by slugging Billy's to make it impossible to pick people up)
-Nurse hits through pallets
-Inconsistencies with scratch marks
-Pallet vacuum's
-Speed boost from getting hit being VERY inconsistent
And this sweetheart, is only the beginning of it. There was so many more frustrating things back then, then there are now.
EDIT: Forgot about this video put together by OhTofu, here's what you want the game to become again?
-
Looks like some one wasn't there during the old times
Ask any one who actually played during "the dark times" and I can guarantee that 99% of them would say the game is in a MUCH better state than it was, for both killer and survivor
-
Idk man...
New Meg is lookin kinda hot..
-
Clown is weak because his chase game is no where near strong enough to justify his lack of map pressure
I don't think any one is saying Blight is weak...

I'm not saying all TTVs are asshats. From my experience however most I run into are. Most TTVs I come across often rage quit when they learn I'm not a noob who can easily be bullied.
I had one match where 2 people were TTV and in a swf. They both had flashlights. I was Nurse. I downed one person early under a pallet. I pretended to pick them up then turned around and hit their buddy. They were hoping for a pallet save. I went back to the downed person by the pallet. Did the same thing and downed their buddy this time. Then a 3rd tried the same thing and I got another down. Literally they are coming to me. My chaser is crap because I can't chase anyone. The downed person used UB and finally left. I went for the 2nd TTV who was downed. I again pretended to pick them up. Turned around and big shock. They're buddy was hoping for a flash light save. I downed him again. He lost his UB, no gens are done and 3 people are bleeding on the ground. Both the TTVs quit. I wasn't slugging. They just kept coming to me hoping to get a pallet stun and I've played long enough to not immediately pick up someone.
Then in the end game chat the 2 randoms asked me what happened? I explained the 2 TTVs were more concerned with putting on a show then actually playing the game and they left when they found out I wouldn't take the bait. That's my general experience when I see TTV. They don't do objectives, they try to get the killer's attention to show off their chasing skills and rage quit when they can't bully the killer.
That really sucks as the streamers I tend to get are super nice, last one I had was in a 4 mah SWF and they even invited me into a discord server so we could do a KYF because apprently that was the first time any of them saw a good Blight.
-
Only use flashlights when the killer is locked in an animation, the 2 most common situations is when the killer is breaking a pallet or picking up a survivor
Flashlight saves are a little tricky with the timing as every killer has a different pickup animation for the mosr part. Just know the minute the killer starts moving immediately stop trying to blind them, itll only end up badly since they can just look down/up

Judging? How is deciding to avoid watching past streams for mental health reasons an unfair judgement? I didn't say, "Twitch players are bad". I said it is better to live in ignorance and assume they are nice chill people.
It just doesnt make sense to me that because you had 1 bad experience, you decide to be ignorant instead of realizing that the majority of streamers are really chill and fun people to hang around.
Id say less than 5% of streamers I go against are actually ######### people
-
@shiffpup2 said:
Multitask: run the stream as you play. There's usually a bit of delay, but the info you can get is pretty useful.
Thats literally called streamsniping and can most likely get you banned
-
So youre gonna judge all TTV's because of one bad experience?
The large majority of TTV's are chill and pretty enjoyable, some of them just have bad days

No one cares. Trickster is a laughably weak killer and you shouldn't be impressed with yourself for looping him for any decent amount of time.
He's a weak killer yes, but thats on the player for not being able to down a single survivor
-
Crazy idea here, but maybe you can..
Turn down your volume a notch?
-
The amount of strategies that a 2v8 mode would bring, would most likely bring that breath of fresh air that some vets have been seeking for. They need an experimental mode, like PTB but instead of it being a completely different branch of the game its just a different game mode so that console players can test things as well.
-
We need a duel between you and Sluzzy
-
1. Spark of Madness (The Doctor)
2. Bill, now its Meg, Kate and Zarina
3. Trapper and Hag, now its Blight and Trickster
-
How I see it, people are just glad that a dbd clone is being some what successful. Just like Last Year, it'll die down like the rest of them
-
They were longer back in the day and only made a return in the 2018 Hallowed Blight event (only to get removed again the next update)
The reason for their removal? no idea. But I doubt they're ever gonna make a return
-
Weakest: Myers
Strongest: Nurse/Spirit tied
Spirit is more reliable and consistent since she has less bugs and no real bad maps, but is heavily counted by Iron Will
Nurse has the best mobility and lethality in the game, how ever indoor maps can be quite hard to deal with
-
If you manage to get both active at the same time, Soul Guard will be prioritized, you can tell because you're gonna be given Deep Wound.
It may be a big waste of time and most of the attempts will most likely not work, how ever the psychological damage done to the killer because they got ABSOLUTELY wrecked is ABSOLUTELY worth it

Cause old freddy only needed buffs, you literally cannot do anything to Trickster without breaking the game
Old Freddy was a complete dumpster fire and a complete joke even before his nerf, looking back now it baffles me that they even nerfed him. In the state he was in, he was in dire need of a complete rework. Trickster on the other hand, only needs a little bit of tweaking to be in a good spot, he isn't amazing in his current state, but it seems nowadays that if a killer isn't immediately apparent as A tier, they're a dumpster fire. Trickster can definitely hold his own but the community choses the easy way out of complaining instead of properly learning how to play him.
I will repeat myself because people seem to not understand. I am not saying Trickster is a top tier killer. But if you work hard enough he can 100% hold his own.
-
I don't understand how people think picking Trickster is throwing yet simultaneously want Old Freddy back in the game
-
Didn't take me long to pick up Nurse either, but does that mean I mastered her? no. Am I a better Nurse than I was before? absolutely. If some one puts the time into learning Nurse, (which most people don't even attempt to learn her), she becomes the easiest killer to play in the game
-
Better to have a lot of strong perks and have a very diverse meta than having only a handful of strong perks and having a very stale meta, which is what this game suffers from atm.
-
Doesnt matter what killer you play, people will disconnect
-
yeah, bring back Legacy
-
Trickster is really not as bad as people make him out to be, I am in no way saying he's top tier, but he isnt an instant loss either.
Ive been playing Trickster almost exclusively since he's released and Ive done just fine with him, even without super strong perks at first since I rushed his P3 on day 1.
Is he able to deal with top tier SWF? No, only a few killers can anyway. But he is able to hold his own, a lot more than people give him credit for
-
@Sluzzy said:
He needs a nerf more than a buff.
Sluzzy, my boy, come on
-
No because this game is not nearly as toxic as people make it out to be, you can't tell me DbD is just as bad as a game like CoD or CS:GO
-
An actual good red rank killer won't tunnel/camp unless they are given a good reason, but no matter the ranks you will find people who tunnel and camp
-
Michael can give a lot of information just by his stance
If he walks with his knife to his side and doesnt move his arms, it means hes in tier 1 OR tier 2 with Judiths Tombstone or Vanity Mirror
Dont know if they kept this since I havent seen a Myers run this perk in a hot minute, but when he stands still/is in tier 1 or tier 2 with the 2 add ons mentioned prior he normally has his hand open, how ever if he has Play With Your Food his hand will clench more and more depending on the amount of stacks he is

Cannibal, Hillbilly, or Shape(he is harder), these one hit down killer also has the same problem for Chaser emblem, when they kill survivors fast, the ranking may be +0.
Any killer that just kills all survivors within 5 minutes of the game starting will not pip, not just them. Just like when survivors finish the gens in 5 minutes and leave, they dont gain any pips either
Pips and ranking in this game are kind of a joke though so I really shouldn't worry about it, unless youre trying to go for the achievements
